I've played this game for quite some time now. And well - aside from the tedious micromanagement you need to employ so your colonists don't starve DESPITE more than 200 food in stock (because drones and shuttles are UNABLE to balance stockpiles properly, if you leave it to the AUTOMATIC stetting) - this DLC can be, in all honestly, be called FUBAR: F**ED up beyond any repair.
The trains may be a nice idea and good to connect different outposts or even mining spots. But then again - the whole act of BUILDING them is a hassle you'd better avoid, as you have to place the stations first, THEN drag the rails afterwards. If the ground is SLIGHTLY uneven, they won't get placed (despite being on stilts...), if there's ANY form of height difference, they won't get built, if you plan on discarding the whole thing...you get the idea.
Aside from that: The stations need power. Just 5, but then again you're planning on connecting outposts, right? In other words: Go ahead and construct an IDEPENDENT power grid at the OTHER side of the station FIRST! And better think about which train and which track you want to keep - because as soon as you unlock the BIG station, you can't just replace the normal station with a standard one, you have to DELETE both the station AND the track AND the train (you had to build in the first place) to be able to UPGRADE to a big station (if you even care about building this thing...then again, you paid for it, or are at least considering it, if you're reading this here right now).
The station usually acts like a general depot on its own. But the downgraded, DUMB version of a general depot. And don't even get me started on the awful animation of the train jumping from one side of the rail to the other, instead of STAYING on the assigned side.
Seriously Paradox - whoever developed this, set him/her/it off and get some REAL developers who CARE about the game. And if you're decent - refund those who have to deal with this trainwreck of a DLC.
