This dlc has mechanics I honestly wish the original game implemented. Each boss has a conveniently unique strategy and lacks a certain amount of artificial difficulty the original game had. Miss chalice is unbelievably fun to play as well. (shes also kinda bad tho wth 🥴)

I haven't played the dlc too much yet but as far as i know there aren't any new run n gun levels. I really hope that studio mdhr will add some sometime soon.

Such a nice DLC! Really enjoyed getting the achievements, definitely worth it. Harder than the normal game, but not impossible. Great work MDHR!

Fantastic DLC in every way. Looking for a good challenge? This is the way to go.

I had completed the original game and so thought I would be prepared for this. Perhaps it's the amount of time waited since last playing, but reality hit and I realized I was not.

Terrific game, excellent DLC, perfect pricing, buy it now!

this dlc is downright dastardly. its basically a spiritual sequal more than it is an expansion on the already existing game. bosses that make you completely rethink how to play the game, a new character that switches up your entire playstyle, and loads of challenging yet incredible stages, new weapons, accessories, supers galore. this is probably one of the best dlc's ever as it literally redefines the game while still feeling like cuphead. 10/10

This contains a lot of bullsh*t. Somehow more than the original. I cannot recommend this to sane people.

I love the base game, but this is frustrating and bs and honestly barely fun. PARTICULARLY with coop.

CUPHEAD -in- "the (D)elicious (L)ast (C)ourse"

+ Consistent, breathtaking artwork
- More manic/frantic gameplay mechanics
- Cluttered, resulting in a claustrophobic experience at times

Both the Cuphead cartoon television series and the DLC take a step backward. Sometimes more = less. A welcome, yet poorly executed content addition

I just realized that the Wild West fight against the cowgirl takes place against a literal cow. Y'know, a COWgirl.

Needless to say I love the humour and creativity the devs put into the game.

This DLC is good albeit with some questionable design choices. The expansion is meant to be played after you beat the main game so the bar for difficulty is set higher, which in general means there's more projectiles flying all over the screen at once for you to avoid. This is fine, except for the fact that a few of the bosses in the DLC also have a lot of background animation which includes objects flying around, and it becomes harder to tell the difference between what's an actual projectile you have to avoid and what's happening in the back. This is especially apparent on the final boss where he's throwing stuff around in the background and at times it's the same color as the stuff you're supposed to be avoiding. I ended up beating the DLC on Expert so I'm not just complaining that I can't beat it or that it's impossible to overcome, it just seems like cheap tricks that go against the spirit of the game, whether it's intended or just an oversight.

They've done it again. Cuphead is one of the greatest games of all time. It's what encouraged me to go and start playing harder games, or even turn up the difficulty on games that allow it. I got 100% achievements in the base game because I loved it so much. And this game is just more good Cuphead. There are a few new things, and I think they work really well as great additions to the game. There are also new achievements that have you go back and revisit old bosses with new detrimental effects applied to make things interesting.

Ms. Chalice is an interesting new character. She plays similar to Cuphead and Mugman, but has enough differences to make her stand out. She has 4 HP, she can double jump and she dashes to parry. There is a chess themed mini boss gauntlet that I feel was designed around her, I would have had a hard time using Cuphead on those.

There are also a few good twists in this DLC that both surprised me and gave me a good laugh.

All in all, what makes Cuphead great is back again. Fun but difficult bosses, fantastic animation and a great, jazzy soundtrack keep me coming back to this game, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for Cuphead.

It's only $8. Buy it.

Ms Chalice is NOT a reskin. She has a different playstyle and I even beat The Devil with S rank with ease. You have harder bosses and more weapons. Divine Relic is awesome! :) This is one of the rare good DLC, buy it.

This way should all DLCs be done. Many games have just DLCs which are hard and unfair. But this DLC has new ideas and new unique bosses. And you also get some mini-games in which you can only parry (I really enjoyed them). The only think I don't like is that if you play as ms. Chalice, you have to use the new parrying system. But you can always switch to cuphead, therefore I can just recommend this DLC.

Now this, is quality content. The price of this DLC is reasonable and the art and level design remain to a high standard. The new bosses and challenges are difficult (duh) but so much fun and, as usual, very rewarding on completion.

Really glad to get another slice of Cuphead. This is how DLC should be in general.

What a phenomenal DLC.

If this was part of the base game, I wouldn't have noticed. All the love and effort that went into Cuphead is still there with great music, art style, secrets and a new enjoyable quest. There's a whole new isle to explore filled with creative boss fights, and it introduces the new playable character Ms. Chalice, who adds another level of replay-ability to the game. Not only that, but there's more weapons and charms available from Porkrind's Shop, and they all have strategic uses without over-shadowing the previous ones. My only disappointment is the lack of a Run 'n' Gun level, but we got a challenging gauntlet in its place, so it's hard to complain.

Easily got my money's worth and more from this.

Cuphead - The Delicious Last Course

Cons - If you're decent at the game, this DLC won't take much longer than 2 hours.
Some of the bosses are a bit too bullet hell-ish for my liking.

Pros - It's visually astonishing.
It's got an amazing soundtrack.
Each boss has their own dynamic gimmick.
It's fun as hell.
The weapons and charms it adds to the already amazing game are very nice.

Conclusion: Play this DLC, and then play the whole game again.

As a rule I almost never buy games on release, or shortly after release. Too often 'finished' games are buggy, badly optimized, lacking content, or too expensive for the value you get.

Cuphead: DLC is none of these things. Everything you love about the original game is back. More bosses, more weapons, more trinkets, beautiful artwork, and a new character that isn't just a new skin but has her own unique skillset that is different but not necessarily better than Mugman/Cuphead. There's of course still coop, and you can try out all the new toys on the original islands.

A new addition are challenge levels. There are 6 new 'bosses' that rely totally on platforming skills and parrying to defeat, no actual attacks are even allowed. This is on top of the traditional bosses you like already. For those who liked the Run'n'Gun levels; they are absent in this installment, but they were the least interesting parts of the original game anyway.

Cuphead remains a difficult platformer/shooter that has just the right amount of difficulty and satisfaction when you finally defeat that difficult boss. What a triumph.

'Delicious Last Course' AKA 'DLC'

Nice acronym pun, ey? I agree, and the same smart ideology is used all throughout this entire DLC, with its hefty push towards even higher standards compared to the game's main-campaign. Every single thing about this DLC is like 10 steps above the main-campaign's experience; which of course is not to dog on the main-campaign, but instead to praise the soaring improvements made in the DLC campaign, ones I could've never even imagined being possible myself.
The mere jolly return of Cuphead is enough to be praised on its own, however to the extent MDHR went with that is unbelievable. It is such a refined & perfect experience; further enhanced by the continuous betterment of every single game-play loop as the DLC goes on, and on, and on.

Rowdier game-play

I really enjoy the new bosses in this game, they're a big skill step-up compared to the main-campaign's. I can appreciate that, that craves some clad rag balls. It reminds me a lot of DOOM Eternal's first campaign DLC.
The new bosses are very impressive within all applicable contributes -- There has been possibly thousands of hours dedicated to refine every single part about them, as that is expressed very clearly in-game as you're playing, as you're getting your buttocks kicked by them.

As I played, I noticed that the new bosses tended to have a much different attack philosophy compared to the original roster's. They acted quite different, that was very apparent instantly, and I don't believe that was accidental.
MDHR trusted that the folks returning to Cuphead for the DLC had already beaten the game multiple times, and were able to play it without much clumbsy nature. They trusted that the playerbase had already mastered the ability to clearly read & avoid incoming attack, as they were always very clearly telegraphed before typically a singular attack.
In the DLC it feels so much more rowdy, and I believe that is due to the fact that the bosses no longer are focused on pushing out big incoming attacks with clearly telegraphed attacks easy to avoid, no. Here they feel more focused on blasting attacks out with multiple different smaller points of damage, as your focus is not to avoid one big attack, no, it's more-so avoiding a multitude of well-coordinated attacks. It makes for a much more stressful & craving loop of defeating bosses, especially as there are times where bosses may have 2-3 different attacks ongoing at once, making for some extreme game-play, especially in the last boss-fight. I can truly appreciate that, I enjoyed that here. I know that a lot of main-campaign bosses used the same philosophy as well, but they were much rarer, not to the same extent, and not as overwhelming.
I also really enjoyed that secret boss-fight, as it was a very neat & quirky twist, Albeit it is maybe too niche, and with largely being very repetitive I have not come back to fight it again, sadly. I liked the puzzle to start him though!
And I'm a little confused as to why the castle exists, as I feel like all the mini-bosses could've been just been reused as one singular boss........ somehow. I don't know, it just feels quite odd in my opinion. Still, the vast majority of the parry bosses in the castle are really fun to fight.

I'm not a huge fan of the newly introduced attacks, I kind of felt the same about some of the main-campaign's attacks too. Many of them are just too situational or outright worse than some of the ones you already own, which means they discourage me from experimenting with them, even if they were to be really fun. I still largely keep the same preferred attacks.
I do enjoy a lot of the new upgrades here however, sure some of them are a little useless. But I found some really useful with the higher difficulty, especially the one that heals you after a few parries.

Wackier art-style

The art-department of Cuphead has never been better. Bosses are far more abstract & cartoonish than ever, they're far more animated that before. Sure, in the main-campaign you'd have a magic queen bee call the police, and thereafter transform into a airplane with chainsaw wings... sure. Yet in the DLC campaign you have a comically large-sized cow stuck in a saloon barely larger than itself, only to break out of it to bear a vacuum, only to vacuum itself up and turn itself into a flying sausage bull spewing meat, which then falls into a beef sausage tin-can. The lengths the animators went with their creativity is nothing but praiseworthy, and this largely continues with all bosses in the DLC.
And I truly appreciate the last boss-fight, as the music is outright fabulous, just like the rest of the DLC -- yet his absolute wild aura perfectly aligns so seamlessly with his theme, it's rather quite impressive. He's also maybe one of the most beautifully animated animations ever, as his characteristics & personality is so finely conveyed. He was also a really difficult challenge for me to overcome the first time around, it took me a good many hours to beat. And I'm very proud to say that I now have beat him on 'Expert' difficulty with a 'A+' ranking!

There are just so many bosses worth nitpicking every single animation of, as they look just so wonderful.
It's like a wonderland of mayhem with the extent of how varied each of them are, not only from a design perspective, but also presentation! None look alike, and they all have a very unique theming. I really enjoyed that giant boss-fight, he was really entertaining to yell at. His RNG inside of the mouth was maybe a little too cheap at times, I'll admit that. But his puppet section beat me up so much haha!
The first boss-fight, the mafia bugs were a little lame visually, I'll be very upfront with that. I enjoy how they re-envisioned their previously scrapped spider boss-fight from the main-campaign however, that was very neat. Yet the latter-half with the anteater & slug were hilarious! I died of laughter at the fake-out false "Knock Out!" screen. It genuinely killed me the first time I encountered it.

Conclusion

If you loved Cuphead's main-campaign, I'd wage that you'll love this DLC as well! It's still true-to-earth with the Cuphead game-play loop & mentality; yet adds a nice shake-up with a newly found challenge & philosophy.
However if it has been awhile since you played Cuphead and want to return for the DLCs, I heftily recommend clearing the main-campaign all-over again at least once. You really truly need the refresher, as the DLC does not provide a real tutorial for returning players, not provides the pacing for them.

The DLC recaptured my love for Cuphead, as it had been awhile since I last played it, and I am very happy that I did.
I'd put the DLC as a contender for my GOTY list so far!

Honestly I'm so dissapointed in this DLC, don't get me wrong, I love Cuphead, I enjoyed the base game a lot but they made us wait 4 years for this DLC.
So the DLC includes 6 new bosses, a few minigames, but most importantly Ms. Chalice as playable character with new mechanics.
Bosses except for one, felt all the same with previous bosses, nothing interesting, nothing new. If you're going to buy it with base game, buy it, but there's no need to pay additional price for it. It's not worth the money.

i really enjoyd the base game of cuphead, and would reccomend this dlc if its on sale.

The price of 10$ (main game is only 20$) and the amount of content in the two are vastly different, There are no campaign levels with enemies like it is in the main game. Just 5 or 6 bosses, and a mini game that consists of, you guessed it more bosses. They had some neat attack patterns but it feels like they heavly rely on using the new ms chalice character and her double jump to reach ledges in boss arenas (yes cupad can do it, you just have to be a lot more precise than the main campaign).
some people have been waiting 4 years for this DLC, only to be done it in a day, i wish there was more content and not just bosses.

Applicant

They did it! They gave us more cuphead! I'm not quite done yet, but what I've played so far is superb. I do think they took even more care with these new bosses. You can really tell they've been playtested to shreds. I did try playing as chalice a bit, but I found myself wanting to go back to the ol' megaman build. You know, the one with the charged attack and invulnerability dash? It's so satisfying, although some bosses force me to switch out to the auto aim green finger cannon thingy from time to time while I focus extra hard on dodging their attacks.

This last course is truly rich and satisfying. That's why I am taking my time with it. One or two bosses per session. They usually follow the formula of playing until you get good enough to beat the first couple or three phases without losing a life and then pray to god that you get lucky enough to beat the last phase before you run out of lives.

The bad news is, based on how long it took to develop Cuphead and its fantastic DLC, we probably won't be seeing any more cuphead for a very long time. But hopefully we'll get something just as good or better from the same studio.

On a final note, this DLC and the base game are very generously priced in my opinion. I appreciate that.

POV: You've played video games most your life. You have a pretty good handle on what your capabilities are and you S ranked every hard mode stage in the original game. "Ok, I see what to do here. Doesn't look too hard," you think. 5 hours later, you're still on the same stage, surrounded by broken controllers, wrists bloody. You only reach second stage without taking damage one time in 50 attempts and so often, those parry slaps miss by just a couple pixels, your dodges a fraction of a second too late. Is it that your timing is just that bad? But no, there are so many other times where you thread the needle perfectly with back to back dodges, repeatedly, exactly how you anticipate. How can your instincts be so good, but fail so often? Failure doesn't feel fair anymore. In the base game, I always knew what I'd fucked up and how. This is no longer the case and it's immensely frustrating.

Furthermore. it's not a very large dlc, considering how long it was in development and so many of the attacks are from the original game, just reskinned. The flower's boomerang is now a lime slice, the clowns wavy horseshoes now replaced with sugar cubes. The expectation is far less forgiving as well. I had never, ever gone over par time on any boss in the base game. With the DLC, you have to really be on point. know exactly how long to hold your charge shots to maximize DPS or you won't finish in time.

It's more Cuphead, which was already fantastic. Some of the best animation, music and boss design in videogames. Thankfully they dropped the platforming levels which never quite fit with the style the game was going for. Excellent work, highly recommended.

EV222IL
EV222IL

They killed the visuals with this for sure. They are even better than in the base game. The new character is also a nice addition and felt natural to play from the start. New weapons and charms aren't really gamechanging (to me atleast) but also really nice new content so you can replay the game more often.

The gameplay became worse: A lot of attack patterns just feel like you're playing Touhou now, in the normal game it was most often easy and clear to see what's fore- or background and what does damage and what does not. In the DLC often bosses just throw 4 different colored, different shaped projectiles at you. It's just so chaotic and frustrating.
Also the clearity of the start of the attack patterns got so much worse. In the base game you could ALWAYS see what pattern the boss is going to throw at you next. It felt like I could master a boss and it's pattern completly. In the DLC it is so chaotic that I don't feel the same way anymore, there is always some RNG involved in how hard the next run is going to be.
Getting Boss rankings to S feels a lot more random now too. You just have to hope that in certain phases the boss is going to throw something parryable, otherwise you'll just have to stay in the phase and wait til he does (While not damaging him any further of course) so fun gameplay!

Don't get me wrong: Cuphead is one of my favorite games. My expectation where really high. This DLC is worse than the base game gameplay wise. It's still great and more of Cuphead, I had such a bit of fun!
If you liked Cuphead you will like this too, espically for only 8€. If you don't you will hate this even more.

The Delicious Last Course is a great reason to come back and replay Cuphead. I myself went through the base game again in preparation for the DLC, and I'm glad I did. The bosses in the DLC are certainly challenging, but they're made easier once you refresh yourself on the game's mechanics. I would place them as equivalent or slightly more challenging than the Isle 3 bosses.

My personal ranking of the bosses:
(Easiest -> Hardest)
Mortimer Freeze -> Glumstone the Giant -> Moonshine Mob -> Howling Aces -> Chef Saltbaker -> Esther Winchester

It's more Cuphead with amazingly designed bosses that are so impressive to look at visually with all of the beautiful hand drawn animation. A must play if you like the original game.

Affordable, fun and well thought out. One of the best DLC's I have ever played. Added so many cool weapons, and the addition of Chalice girl is amazing, she is a blast to play. The bosses are up to standard Cuphead standard, beautiful as always to fight and see all the animations. Took a while to come out, but well worth the wait, I love Cuphead so much, 10/10, my highest recommendations.

Jamz
Jamz

I like it.

Considering how long it took them to make, it doesn't seem like a lot of content. At the same time, the price for how long it took them is really cheap.

Boss theme variety is good, but the attacks all feel very similar - a lot of it is a bullet hell.

You will only like this if you enjoyed cuphead

Very Irish™
Very Irish™

I feel bad for leaving a review like this, but this DLC was awful. The devs managed to find the absolute worst balance between "way too easy" and "nearly impossible".

For starters, none of the bosses are consistent. Half of them say "here are five bullets and i want you to savor each and every one," while the other half say "i don't think one million bullets per phase is enough, so i'm going to fire TWO million bullets per phase." At least when the base game was an absolute bullet hell, it was predictable and at consistent every time. Also, I hate how they give you a third character without giving the option to play 3-player (yet I get how that would be hell on earth, so I'll let it slide)

Also, the game tries to force you to use Chalice by specifically designing every boss to be 3x harder without her. This sucks if you hate how she controls. But hey, the bosses aren't much of a problem health-wise, as I was able to beat almost every one with the literal weakest weapon in the game.

I'd also like to mention how painfully obvious the story's end is. I mean, realistically, who else are you going to be fighting at the very end of the game? Think about it. And while I'm talking about the end of the game, it's has an awful conclusion. Spoilers, but it sucks when the story revolves around permanently reviving Ms. Chalice only for the it to end with a "well that didn't go so well, i guess that was a waste of time" moment.Literally anything would've been better.

One last thing: the bugs. Not only can a majority of the fights be cheesed, but there was a bug that nearly ruined my chances of ever 100-percenting the game (which I now no longer have any intention of doing). Occasionally, the ladder to the King's Leap mini-bosses will decide to disappear for good with no clear instruction on how to get it back no matter where you go or what you do.

So yeah, I hate to leave a review like this, but despite this DLC's visual and audio charm (which is the one thing they got right), this was bad. I wish I could refund this, but I think my chance to do that has came and went. I beat this DLC out of spite rather than wanting to beat it for fun.

TLDR: The Delicious Last Course was not delicious.

this is such a fantastic DLC. so much effort and love was put into this! I did like the fact they were able to add new charms, and challenges along the way. the most notable change that I've noticed was the kings leap. which was to test durability, and speed, and all of that. The levels were extremely fun to play, and the soundtrack is amazing. I find it better than the base game soundtrack. anyways 10/10 I Highly recommend you check this DLC out! oh if you have not. go check out the base game as well

This is a very very VERY good DLC and more content for a beloved game. The addition of Ms. Chalice and the new charms and shots do make the DLC a tad easier, but the great thing about optional weapons and charms are that you can remove them to make the game more challenging, so when I see that people criticize this DLC saying its too easy I don't consider a bad thing and is extremely not warranting a negative review. Another thing is the length of the DLC, people whine about too short too short, quality over quantity will always be in my heart. the devs put love and effort into these bosses and id much prefer that over more bosses that will most likely be average to below average.

Overall this is a fantastic DLC and highly recommend to people who adored the base game. 10/10

A fantastic addition to an already masterpiece. It is very short and easier than the base game in my opinion, but it has quite some interesting new ideas in it that are very much worth being explored. If you liked the base game there's no real reason why you shouldn't get this as well.

9/10 - Short but amazing.

I expected a bit more out of this honestly given how much time has past since its announcement (4 years) but maybe that's my fault.

Regardless you have some good bosses (7), new weapons & relics, a new character with a unique play style, some fun parry bosses (5). No Run&Guns here, take that as you will.

All the bosses are pretty solid with the exception of the 'secret' boss which is probably the weakest boss in the whole game honestly. 1 unchanging phase that isn't all that interesting and a health bar that makes it outstay its welcome given how static the boss is.

The gauntlet is another challenge added where you take all the parry bosses consecutively with 1 life. Some of the parry bosses are a bit long winded honestly so my patience gave out on this after a bit.

Beat all the bosses + secret boss + all parry bosses + played around with new character + tried a bit of expert + did a few runs at the gauntlet: Clocked in at around 3½ hours play time.

A basic run of the story is probably about 1 - 2 hours, maybe more depending on you.

All in all it's worth the price and it keeps the quality the base game provides. I do wish there was more here though but again I'm caught up on how long it took for this DLC to come out. The content provided is worth the asking price in my opinion regardless.

Link_IV
Link_IV

Everything in the dlc is good. The new character, the bosses, the music, but it's a bit underwhelming due to how short it is. There are no stages like in the main game, only boss battles. There are some parry challenges that are ok at best. IMH it was not as challenging as the base game. I won't give this a negative review because the price for the content is fair.

I initially thought this was too short, but looking back its really not and its only 8 bucks and is very worth it. The new boss fights are all interesting and challenging in different ways, and this island has a couple little cool secrets to discover. Plus the introduction of a new character and 3 new weapons, and 2 incredibly useful/fun charms that can be used going back to the other islands is great for replayability. If you enjoyed the base game, this only adds to the charm and the fun

ToxicXelta
ToxicXelta

Not up to standard that the main game was, animation is amazing as always, but the boss design is less fair this time round, and is more of a battle not to be hit by several RNG attacks that are coming at you from all angles in all the boss fights. Far too much going on, to properly focus during certain phases and feels cheap when you get hit a lot of the time.

These devs really expect $7.99 for this DLC? Beautiful art, great bosses. Price is amazing. Worth every penny and then some. Many DLC's for other games are barely worth half of what they cost. This game's DLC is worth at least twice that. The fact that the cost is low, for the amazing game that they did is very very respectable. Still have some good devs out there. So much love for this game from devs it shows. Keep up good work. Worth the wait. I'm going back to suffering getting destroyed by bosses.

As beautiful as the rest!

The new Isle & Story is worthy of the price, if this was two bucks more, I'd say that'd be a well balanced meal to the eyes!

The fights are creative and packing, all well animated, and thoughtfully difficult at the tip of your fingers!

The music all fits too well, and grooving with each scene, the big fight is hair-tingling!

Ms. Chalice and her abilities really spice things up, pros and cons of the character, and the new store content is exciting!

Furthermore I really enjoyed the credits, an ending worthy of seeing with your own peepers!

Thank you MDHR for once again rekindling the love for classic cartoons, and eye-peeling sanity-breaking boss fights with style!

The day this DLC came out, I got it. I played it without knowing much about the bosses or the new charms and weapons. When it got to the title screen, I knew this DLC was gonna be worth the wait, and it's not a big surprise that this WAS worth the wait; seeing how this is Studio MDHR we're talking about.

Bosses
This DLC includes 6 major bosses, 1 secret boss, and 5 bosses from King's Leap. That's a total of 12 new baddies to bust. Sure, some bosses are smaller than others, but that's still quite a good amount for the DLC. Each main boss isn't Isle 1 level difficulty, either. Each major boss is a fun challenge that don't overstay their welcome. All of them are fun to fight against and get better at. I had a great time with every single one, and I'm probably going to play them over and over again, because they're just THAT good.

Weapons/Charms
Aside from new bosses, we also got 3 new weapons and 3 new charms. All of these new weapons are fun to play around with, and while some are better than others, they all have their uses, and can be great against specific bosses. It's all about mixing and matching for different foes. And as for the 3 new charms, we have the Astral Cookie that allows you to play as Ms. Chalice (more on that later), and then we have the Heart Ring, it essentially just gives you more health after parrying a set amount of times, and then the Broken Relic (more on that later as well). All in all, these are fun new weapons and charms that add replay-ability not just to the DLC, but to the base-game as well.

Music
With this new DLC comes, of course, new music! All new tracks are wonderfully composed and recorded in a live studio with a bunch of talented instrumentalists. All the new tracks perfectly fit each new boss, and I never get tired of listening to them!

Ms. Chalice
Now, as mentioned earlier, one of the charms is the Astral Cookie, which when equipped will allow you to play as Ms. Chalice. Ms. Chalice is a fun new character with a different moveset, and is NOT just a reskin of Cuphead/Mugman. She has a double jump, a dash that can parry, and a dodge roll that can make her invincible, but can only be used on the ground. In addition to this, she also has an extra hit-point. Ms. Chalice is a good character that can help players who got stuck with a boss in the main game, and she's also a fun character that can add a whole new way of playing the same game. Ms. Chalice is a really good character, and I'm happy we're able to play as her.

Broken Relic
The Broken Relic is a charm that can be used to unlock the aforementioned secret boss. After beating the secret boss, the Broken Relic turns into the Cursed Relic, which when equipped sets the player's HP to 1, and randomizes their weapons every single time they stop shooting. The Cursed Relic also has a few set charms on it, like Whetstone, Smoke Bomb, and Heart Ring, however the effects from these charms only happen after a few dashes/parries. After defeating every DLC boss on Regular Difficulty or higher with the Cursed Relic equipped, the player unlocks the Divine Relic, which has the same effects as the Cursed Relic, but this time it doesn't set your HP to 1, and the effects of Whetstone, Smoke Bomb, and Heart Ring happen more often. Overall, I like the Cursed Relic and the Divine Relic, as they bring a fun new twist on the game that adds even MORE replay-ability.

King's Leap
The King's Leap is the new way of getting coins, as in the DLC, there are no Run 'N' Gun stages. After each boss, you get a few coins, and I prefer this more than the Run 'N' Gun stages. It has 5 bosses all centered around parrying. Your weapons and charms are of no use in these bosses. These bosses are fun and unique. They're not super hard, but they're not lazily easy. They're the perfect balance of difficult and easy.

Animation, Length, and Price
I have seen a few people complain about how this DLC is too short, and how they expected a little bit more. I think the people who have been saying that though have to really look at what we got in this DLC. We got a ton of new bosses, new weapons, new charms, and a new character; all with gorgeous animation that is really hard to pull off. Cel Animation takes a LOT of hard work to do, and I bet even some of the knockout animations for the bosses took MONTHS just to complete. When first playing the DLC, I was blown away by how good the animation was! I completely understand why we got as much as we got, as this style of animation is BRUTAL to make. And the fact that we get all this great content for only 8 BUCKAROOS? That's a steal in my book! I would've happily paid $20 for this! But no, all I had to pay was $8.

Verdict
I'm SO happy Cuphead is back! This DLC is the perfect end to Cuphead, and I could not have asked for more.
Thank you, Studio MDHR, not just for making an absolutely amazing game, but for your persistence, optimism, and dedication to this project!
And with that, all I can say now is...

Bravo!!!

It may have taken me around 4 hours to beat, but that was probably one of the best 4 hours of my life.
