I'm enjoying it, it's my first campaign almost completed it on mission 22.
Only gripe is sometimes it's unclear what you need to do to get a success result.
Very hard difficulty so don't expect an easy fight, but that's the reality of warfare.
So far about five or six missions in ... it's ... meh ... so far ... defo nothing special. Not much dialogue, the missions so far are quite boring. Sometimes you don't know what's going on. Spelling mistakes and typos. Very trigger based. Confusing unexplained stuff happening. Always second guessing, "Is this what I'm meant to be doing..." So far not too impressed.
Played another couple of missions, no better. So many triggers broken. Seems like ED QC/QA has really dropped the ball on this one. Never really felt ripped off by anything I've bought DCS related before, but this campaign is really making me feel that way. Really not up to the standard to be a paid DLC campaign.
I’ve never bothered to write a negative comment on steam but c’mon…Same as comment above. Boring…few instructions as to where to go or if updates. On mission 4. Very amateurish -fly here and do this- missions. In the second, I was told to fly to an Su-24 to escort it snd then land at Sochi to “re-base”. 1 minute after takeoff I’m told that the Su-24 is “safe” snd to return to base. So I flew to Sochi and landed: mission success. Wow.
I'm afraid this isn't good enough for freeware, let alone for official dlc.
I was inspired by the really cool looking trailer and I gave this a shot despite the other negative reviews, thinking it can't be that bad, but I was wrong. Really a huge lack of QC/QA here. Big disappointment.
