After buying this DLC I received everything BUT the season pass. I took every precaution when setting up cross save a month or two prior to the release date. Bungie still yet to resolve this problem that happened to me and hundreds of others (If anyone needs to verify related complaints go to Bungie.net help forums but warning it refreshes every week). Also tired getting Steam to refund me but I exceeded two hours of play time limit, even when those two hours where spent in a loading screen because of overloaded servers. So please save yourself the headache and money because even though Bungie can make a decent FPS game, they have a history of shady business transactions and monetizations.
Bought the deluxe version and the season pass isn't working. That also means the next 3 season passes that come with the deluxe version aren't going to work. I tried getting a refund through Steam but they denied me twice because I played the game for more than 2 hours. I didn't realize there was an issue until after a few hours of play. Also, the base game is free to play and I just want a refund for the DLC (which their refund policy plainly states is acceptable). This has happened to a ton of other people and Bungie is telling everyone "tough luck" on their forums. I'm EXTREMELY ANGRY at both Steam and Bungie for this. This has been a COMPLETE WASTE OF $60!!!!!
while i love the game there is a issue. in august when cross save was first introduced I activated cross save. then today i install the game and launch the game and find out that for what ever reason the cross save didnt take but because i logged in the season pass was applied to my steam save instead of the cross save account basicly making the pass null and void. when i contacted bungie support there response was basicly tough shit, now i need to pay $40 for something I already paid for, for a mistake i dont believe was my fault. i know i shouldnt negativly review something I love but idk what other way i have to correct this
Negative Reviews in a nutshell:
"I'm incapable of following directions and set up my cross save wrong and now I'm going to be mad at Bungie for my own ineptitude"
Positive Reviews in a nutshell:
"I followed the instructions properly and now I'm having fun with this content"
Game has been good so far. Waiting for the raid and the rest of the game to be released.
great game with amazing world and character customization
SUPPOSELY THE DEV SHOULD INCLUDE FORSAKEN IN THIS!!!
Cool ghost, cool emblem, cool emote.
By far one of the best Loot Shooter MMO's, have already played more than 1000 hours and cant wait to fill the next 1000.
Trust me, do not buy the Digital Deluxe Edition. You won't get the Season Pass. Your Steam account gets deleted when activating cross-save. This wouldn't be an issue if your Season Pass wasn't tied to your Steam account. Well done, Bungie & Steam. Slow clap for both of you. And people complain about the Epic Games Store and EA. At least you get what you paid for from them.
There is no message, no guide, no hint on how to start the quest line for Forsaken.
All the articles on google point to the old method when this game was organized from A to Z.
Now its just a mess and any new player will just get lost in this huge pile of content.
Migrated safely over from the dreaded Battle.net and finally have a steam able game.
M O O N 'S H A U N T E D
Loved the story telling so far, so many twists and turns and now I'm excited for the content/lore they put forth.
Not bad DLC but it's not worth the money they ask for it.
I'd say its pretty worth it as you get other season passes with it. Plus the ghost shell looks sick. :)
Bungie,you Lost my Season
You are responsible for your mistakes.
========================================================================
I got my Season, good JOB Bungie
A meaty piece of content to sink your teeth into. Not a bad time solo, but it's one of the best gaming experiences you'll ever experience when you're playing with friends. Especially the raids. Love every second of it, especially the raids. Every gamer owes it to themselves to at least try it out. It might not be for everyone, but if it's for you, then it'll be a 1000 hr+ jam.
Love this game. But shadowkeep is just lack luster at launch. :(
Crosssave didnt work. No season pass. DLC was short as for $54.95, worst expansion yet, makes osiris look good
The Shadow keep campaign is fun although a little under whelming especially in the ending of it. But the bells and whistles that come with make it absolutely worth buying. I am having a blast with this expansion and would recommend it to others.
71 hours in the first 5 days of release. I've already gotten my money's worth and the digital deluxe edition includes all seasonal content for the next year. I love it, but I'm a long time Destiny fan. Give First LIght a try for free and if you think this might be for you, Shadowkeep is the newest expansion. Love it so much.
A great and wonderful game. A veteran player from D1. Once you get into this game, it is very difficult to return to any other game. However, shadowkeep is plagued by Server Connectivity issues. Could not play consistently for at least 30 minutes since the last few hours. Hope Bungie fixes them ASAP.
Terrible deal, should include Forsaken
Storyline progression, new music, new visuals, finishers introduced, new raid, new dungeon, new location, new strikes, multiple new sets, renewed armor system, new public events, new matchmade activities, renewed Nightfalls, new quests, new exotics, renewed PvP system + new maps... So far so good!
This digital deluxe edition is to get all the dlcs that will happen in the expansion of Shadowkeep and also a few exclusive cosmetics. The begining of this first dlc was been good so far. Let's see how it'll be by the end of it and wait to see the next DLCs.
a years worth of content for 60 bucks for a already great game.... sign me up
You won't regret spending a single cent on this game because you won't be playing anything else, Bungie knows how to do an inmersive quality shooter it can be a every-day hobby. Team up with your friends and enjoy the Destiny universe.
only 60 bucks for the new dlc, season passes for the next 4 seasons, and some neato exclusive items. Pretty good deal.
I'm still not "done" with Shadowkeep yet but I am enjoying what I have so far. The new story was short but extremely interesting. The moon is a great location to explore, and while it is very similar to its D1 counterpart it has been changed in many ways to make it feel new even to a veteran. The new nightmare hunt and vex offensive modes are also very fun to play. I haven't tried out the raid yet but I've heard very good things about it.
I don't particularly understand the people complaining about lack of content, no world vendor refresh, etc. Bungie has said for months that this would be more of a Rise of Iron sized expansion as opposed to a Taken King or Forsaken sized one, and for me it exceeds those expectations. There are new sets of gear for the moon, the vex offensive activity, the raid, and the upcoming dungeon, so there's plenty of loot without vendor refreshes. There's a lot to do here, and this expansion shipped with many fantastic free features like cross save, the Steam migration/F2P, armor 2.0, and the artifact/season pass model.
If you don't own Forsaken I would recommend getting it first as it is the more in-depth and technically "better" expansion, but that does not mean that Shadowkeep isn't worth your time and its price.
Leveling has improved and so has the loot system. There is quite a bit of content so far. I feel like its a bit busy and overwhelming because all of the content is spread out. Overall its one of the better expansions.
I've spent about 2000 hours playing this game on PC since the Battle.net launch in 2017. The first year of content was nice but not long term engaging and was not hardcore friendly, it pandered heavily to the more casual crowd. Once Forsaken launched last September, that was flipped on it's head. This game does so much to reward the people who put in the time and it is still super friendly to new players and has found it's sweet spot. So many other games have come and gone as the next "Destiny Killer" but here we are, no one else in sight barring Borderlands 3 but that's not even trying to vie for the same space Destiny is. Destiny as it is right now is the best the franchise has ever been, and I cannot wait to see how much farther it goes now that Bungie is back in full control over where this franchise goes.
Let me know if you all have any questions and I'll do my best to answer it.
It's fun with friends, once you get used to the often frustrating UI.
8/10 solo
10/10 with friends
i bought the digital deluxe edition but cant figure out how to redeem the season of the undying pass... can anyone please help me out?
Back, better than ever, and beyond
My friend paid for forsaken deluxe (68$ for a 2-year-old games' expansion and Forsaken (a year-old expansion) is priced at 35$ locking him out of some of the best crucible weapons).
I feel bad for recommending the game to my friend now. Thanks a lot, Bungie.
What an absolute disgrace.
Very nice game, with end game content, ever evoluting, it s a bit expensive, but they do events and dlc and patch often. The story is cool, and it s like you re a magician with a jetpack and a gun, very soft
So far so good!. A lot of things to play once campaign is finished.
Been playing this series since D1 came out on PS4 in 2013. It can be a grind but when you get that exotic youve been wanting its so great...The PVP is really fun. Than gunplay and Graphics for this game are second to none.....
I will be the next Hive god. This game is consuming my Liiiiiiiife. lmao
I love the soundtrack. The spoopy nightmare themes. It's great to be back on the Moon and see Eris again. Grinding for loot is actually fun now. Content is replayable without headache. The raid is challenging and very coordination heavy. Mistakes are punished but teamwork is rewarded greatly. Everything feels like an achievement now. My friends and I are loving the new content. Plus, I'm glad to be free of Battlenet.
If you need someone to play with or are looking for someone to guide you in, and LFG isn't cutting it, add me. My friends and I are big fans of this game and would love the opportunity spread that enjoyment. Whether its grinding help, lore discussion, or backing you up in PVP, we got you. We know what it's like to run solo. That's why we are enthusiastic about helping others.
More or less every negative recommendation is from people who can't read. This edition grants an emblem, emote, ornament, and ghost shell after the first mission is completed, as well as the next three seasons (four total) of content. Basically, it includes the season pass. To get everything for D2 you only need this and Forsaken.
For someone that's been here since day one of ActiBungie, I can say this is a HUGE leap towards what Destiny 2 should've been from the start. Of course, you're still running around senselessly at times, but you're ACTUALLY rewarded for it now. Not talking about glimmer or planetary resources, I'm talking weapons, armor, and the previously stated rewards. PvE in general has improved drastically from Forsaken.
PvP is a different story. Instead of dealing with the toxicity of certain weapon/armor combinations, Bungo introduced two new maps, a worthless Crucible questline, and managed to DESTROY the matchmaking system in the process. You'll get the "We're splitting up those teams" notification, and never even split from the lobby. Not only are old pinnacles much easier to obtain now, they still haven't been nerfed and remain as godly as they were since they were dropped. You can't go a single PvP match without encountering one, two, if not all THREE PvP pinnacles at least once. I agree, it's nice to obliterate New Lights with weapons they've probably never even heard of, but there comes a time when certain things need to change for the better. Nerf Recluse and Mountain Top and fix matchmaking. Thx Bungo.
P.S. Add more Season Pass rank rewards instead of a single Nostalgic Engram every 5 ranks above 100. Thx.
Copy-pasting my review from Shadowkeep's store page, since so far both the regular edition and the deluxe edition include the same content (since Shaodwkeep comes with Season of the Undying). Once Season of the Undying is over, I'll update this review with my opinions on the rest of Year 3's content seasons:
We're only in the first few weeks of Shadowkeep and Season of the Undying, the first out of four seasons of content in Destiny 2's Year 3, and yet I can already recommend Shadowkeep to everyone who play Destiny 2.
The campaign, while not being the longest in the series' history, is one of the best ones yet. amd showcases a new approach to storytelling from Bungie: telling a story over time, instead of telling a self-contained story over the course of a longer campaign. Since we're only on the third week of Shadowkeep and Season of the Undying, we'll have to wait and see how Bungie will advance the plot over the current season and future seasons, but so far I'm impressed.
The best part in Shadowkeep for me personally is the new raid, Garden of Salvation. In my opinion, it's Destiny 2's best raid yet. It's fun, beautiful and quite rewarding, and can be a great first step into raiding for some of the newer Destiny 2 players in our community. Raids and their challenges were always the best part in Destiny 2 for me, and this raid isn't an exception.
Other than that, I love the moon destination, I enjoy Nightmare Hunts (even though I'm still waiting on Master difficulty which will come out in two days from when I posted this review) and I cannot wait for the dungeon, which this time has its own loot (unlike Shattered Throne, that had the same loot as the rest of the activities in The Dreaming City).
Regarding Season of the Undying: Vex Offensive is a fun casual activity, and I'm looking forward to see what the rest of the season holds for us.
In conclusion, I recommend Shadowkeep to anyone who plays Destiny 2. While some of the reviews I've seen here are mixed, I think the campaign, raid and the dungeon alone will be worth the price tag (at least for me). and I think that Bungie's new approach will end up being better than what players were used to from previous expansions, but we'll have to wait and see.
HOLY SHIT BUNGIE ARE YOU GUYS FUCKING RETARDED I HAVE TO PAY 80 DOLLARS TO GET ALL OF THE CONTENT WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT DUDE
Shit game for retards. U like play ur titan use shotgun and fuck in ur ass? this game for u.
Campaign is very short and poorly written. The amount of exotics (creative loot) in this expansion are also lackluster compared to previous expansions and dlcs. This expansion is worth 15 USD at best and feels closer to a short dlc than an expansion. Buy this only if you're a hardcore fan of Destiny.
I have never been an FPS player, I have tried CS:GO, Apex legends and even Fortnite. But I never really played them very long, I got them to try them and see if i liked it. So i would really say that i was not really a big fan of FPS.
But I have to say that i have never been as addicted to a game as i have been for Destiny 2. I mean I started playing 20-22 days ago when it got on steam and was free-to-play, but man I got hooked. I have now played I think everyday for atleast 4-5 hours a day on the weekdays and atleast 6-7 on the weekends.
This is a great game.
The amount of activities and quests etc are none stop, enough content to last you a few months to comb through maybe a year. And even more coming in every few weeks to few months. Destiny 2 is now hands down my all time favorite game, I cannot see how it can ever be overthrown.
The purchase of both Foresaken and Shadowkeep DLCs was a hands down no-brainer for me. Best purchase on Steam I have ever made.
Keep up the great work Bungie and Steam best move you have made in a long time in my opinion.
You don't even get Forsaken with the deluxe package, definetly not worth the money.
I would say back to top form but Destiny and Destiny 2 have never been as good as what they have done with Shadowkeep and I love that it all feels like just the beginning.
Great year of content. Raid and dungeon are super fun and PvP is in a great state. Great time to jump in.
I purchased this and didn't get any of the deluxe items.
I have been playing the game since Destiny 1. however, with this new expansion the game became more of a grind feast. every minor quests or content is a huge pile of grind. therefore, for the end result of the grind is a small price not worth the grind. then, the in game shop price on festive events is unfair prices which are more expensive than a copy of the game. as for the bright dust grind is not very effective to buy a one item during the event. which comes in conclusion, making a grind feast in the game doesn't make it more playable than having more content with easy to hard grind in between for in game items or in game shop items.
I hope the next 3 seasons are as fun as Undying is so far
One of the best loot grinder games out there. Compelling story in a very well written setting. Level design is excellent and gunplay is amazing. Definitely recommend.
after i purchased the digital deluxe edition, i cannot log in anymore. i already filed a refund, i hope i get a refund. ive played Elder Scrolls online for 4 yrs, playing with 100+ ppl simultaneously in pvp, but Destiny will log you out asap when latency is high. in ESO you lag but never get disconnected and still playable. thats how good ESO is.
the network programming of Destiny game engine is not yet optimized for stress networking gaming. this is very old game. i have destiny 1 in my old PS3. i say, not improving the programming is a business HOAX.
pls refund my digital deluxe edition, destiny 2 dont deserve my money.
When i bought this it said i get season pass but never got it
I love the game and the dlc! i first purchased on PS4 and played every day since it came out but i then bought it on here and was very upset to know that if you own the deluxe edition on another platform then you need to buy the standard edition! its kinda shady how they decided to disclose this info as you had to go to the store page and then click read more to see the statement! Partially my fault for not looking through the whole page maybe Steam and Bungie shouldve looked into how they portrayed that message and put it at the top instead of in the very bottom!
Worth it for the season passes. Fun xpac, neat addons.
Highly recommended to any one like futuristic FPS. The guns play and abilities are interesting and offer a lot of different setup/builds.
The dlc is a total lazy heap of junk and the season pass is not much better. Money down the toilet in my opinion and i feel like a complete mug for buying it.
The base game itself is great, you can explore the moon and participate in most activities there without the purchase of this dlc which adds very little.
Do yourself a favor and stick to the base game.
worse than dogshit, 1/5. i've stepped in actual dogshit that was more fun than this game
Emote and emblem that you get is NOT worth it.
The regular edition only has the season pass for 1 SEASON
The digital deluxe edition has the ANNUAL pass (4 seasons).
So basically if you plan on playing destiny 2 for the next year, you should get this.
I still can't recommend this purchase due to the lackluster bonus "deluxe" pack things included with this.
solid game lots more seasons to come
Great game with so many different ways to have fun. I'm new to Destiny and I love it
I was playing vindictus. No any other MMO type games has this beautiful complex and fun raids. the best FPS shooter game ever in terms of both PVE and PVP
solid gunplay and character building. PVP, strikes, nightfalls, gambit, despite their issues, hold strong as solid activities. Planet variation great. Raids and dungeons and exotic quests stand to be the best this game has to offer and blows almost any sort of game mode that exists in other shooters out of the water.
Good story as always , some bugs due to the platform change (bnet to steam) but they seem to be fixed now . Good amount of content although the first season didn't offer as much due to the actual expansion giving way more . Season 2 look way better. Will need a bit of work on the PvP side of things like dedicated servers etc . Overall a good and exciting game to play , Bungie has moved the bar up compared to first year Destiny 2.
Would recommend to give it a try as a free to play experience to see if you like the feel and then invest on the season passes/expansions . Personally i would give 8/10 rating
BUY IT!!! GREAT GAME!!! The game play are great and the story are good.
Been playing since year 1, alot of people hate certain things about it but i like how the game has evolved there is so much content now its impossible to get everything done, so many game modes to choose from and grinding the seals if your a completionist is satisfing when you finally get them done
The sound and art is so amazing and the game play is super solid, its a shame that story wise 80% comes from the lore tab and you don't really get anything other than a teaser at the end. It is only worth it because you can get the next 4 seasons with the DDE to continue the "story" and get some cool new guns.
No me dieron lo que venia en mi deluxe edition
worth the money for the expansion and 4 season passes only when it's on sale
Fun, but not worth the price at all. Best off just buying the seasons rather than the big DLC if you want to prioritise anything. This DLC only lasts a couple hours for story, which is cool, but just as you think it's gonna get good it goes "ok now do the raid and that's it you done", the weapons and armour are okay, i guess, and I never really cared for raids that much but the raid was quite fun. I just seriously don't think it's worth the full price at all, maybe not even half the price tbh.
So, in short, if you're tight on cash, buy the seasons instead, or wait for this to go cheap.
Worth the money 10/10
Not worth for me i missed 3 seasons but nevertheless...
I love destiny.
A homeless-looking man took my family to Seattle, where they labor in the basement of Bungie HQ, trapped until I buy enough Silver to repay my debt to the man. He has them endlessly grinding lost sectors in search of the Ballyhoo Mk.27 (Adept), like Ponce de Leon and his quest for the Fountain of Youth. $60 closer to their freedom.
