its good though i like more black rose goku its a very good pack for begginers its not about power but about skill so even if you have powerful powers you dont know how to use it correctly you should buy it at level 45 you should know tha basics by that time
The " Migatte no Gokui " is broken af.
Jiren can be a nice partner for PQ and the meditation skill is kinda broken if you use it correctly.
Who tf Is Fu.... Haven't seen DB: Heroes...
A17 is better than Super A17 from GT, change my mind
The DLC story mode is the 2nd best thing of this pack, just buy it :D
to whoever created pq 122, your mom's a h*e
Why I have the dlc 6 but I no see it in the game?
why wont this download,fucking dicks
I'd rate this DLC a 5/10. The lack of learnable skills is disheartening, costumes aren't something to be entertained over and the lack of more skills for the characters are a big dissapointment. 17 only gets one single attack when he had more in the anime, Jiren's moves are half-assed and not very good, Goku's skills aren't that much to be entertained about because he gets a single ki charge that's extremely slow, an invisible punch that can be charged up to 3 and a new ultimate that's the definition of laziness. The attack rush when activating the ultimate takes 60% of the ki bar and the follow-up recolored spirit bomb takes the rest, so Goku's skills aren't really anything to come after. The auto-dodging is balanced with his extremely small stamina bar and the fact that for each dodge, you lose stamina. Only decent part to come out in this DLC is the story mode and Fu, whose skills are pretty fun to use, but where the Remote Bomb requires extremely good timing as the explosion circle can be dodged if you just keep moving. The last bit are stages, whereas we get to see a couple of nice stages in the story mode that isn't available anywhere else.
I got the dlc running in the game, and I can use UI Goku and Jiren and everybody, but the green scroll indicating the dlc story mode literally has nobody in it. I can't start the extra story which is most of the reason I downloaded this in the first place. Feeling kind of ripped off
Honestly I don't care how broken the DLC characters are, this game never really was meant to be balanced in the first place.
After quite a while we finally have quite some creative characters and really interesting gimmicks too. Its amazing.
Broken, yes. But fun. (A better review will be developed as I try the modes in depth)
A truly worthy pack to be called a dlc .
Goku ultra instinct is broken, especially his ultimate.
The only one who shouldnt have been a character but a costume is ranger 17. Very lackluster or put any effort at all.
Jiren and Fuu are awesome. but.
You can definitely feel that the characters where created with no effort or inspiration at all. Especially android 17 jezus christ he got 1 new move if you can even call it new. Atleast they could have given his one handed green beam blast or smth.
Jiren isnt as broken even tho he has the strongest ultimate in the game , but goku( ultra instinct) ultimate is overpowered as F, especially that he can hit 3 times with his ulti and if one of them connects bye bye your hp.
There has to be some balance lol.
Limit break ability is a very needed skill at that, makes the fights more interesting, and you get one chance to stand up again even if you get random stamina break .
I like the story dlc its fun, still havent completed it yet but I will :D
If you wonder if you should buy it then yes its worth it .
The only packs worthy to buy is extra pack set and pack 3 and 4 . the rest ignore.
And namco bandai wtf with that anime music pack price fk off with your greedy a@@.
Its MY BIRTHDAY!!! (today) and you just gave me the coolest present!!
In my opinion, best dlc so far.
First, it is unexpected; in the previous DLCs you knew it would be champa and F.Trunks arc. You could expect some interactions between characters and stuff, but this isnt the case for this DLC.
Second, you can choose. Help the new character, do what kaioshin says... and it changes the story, what makes it replayable
Third: UI goku is broken af
Jiren's VO sounds like a post puberty microsoft sam.
Utterly lacklustre.
If this was something of an attempt to breathe new life into Xenoverse 2, you might want to try a wee bit harder than a whisper, BANDAI NAMCO... I was so excited at the prospect of getting some awsome new skills for my CAC, but this selection is nothing to write home about.
Also, a wee bit off topic, but a music pack for an additional R200??? THAT SHOULD BE IN HERE!
Keep trying to milk us, you avaricious fucks.
Jiren is way too weak and the subtitles need work but everything else is awesome
So, while the DLC itself didn't really add many new skills to learn, the new systems introduced by the free update are pretty great. But with the DLC itself, this honestly has to be the most fun I've had with any of the DLCs. Not only is the added story awesome, it also makes some sense of their decisions on adding the characters they did in Extra DLC 1. Kinda pulls some of the disliked stuff from that first part and ties it together nicely. The events that occur with your Master on the story missions are pretty great, too, and if it's a master you REALLY like, it has some pretty epic moments too. Went with Bardock myself, because badass Bardock. LOL.
Really can't wait to see how everything moves forward into Xenoverse 3 and how the story continues. Love this DLC.
5 super good parallel quest, op new characters, story, variable new story game mode and the other things for only that price? worth it
GOKU should have an ultra-early instinct mode of constantly changing ultra-germ instability over gg
So with what I've tried of it so far. Which to be honest is only the characters I'd have to say the only character that I found fun/good would be Fuu. Jiren is incredibly underpowered for what he is represented as in super. His punches are increadibly weak. Has 1 more that is super powerful but uses all his Ki on top of needing meditation. UI Goku is just dumb. Stamina is way too low. Opponent just has to try punching you for a bit and then they can combo you to death because he has 1 and a half bars of health and he wouldn't be able to dodge anything practically on top of having no efficient ways of restoring stamina. He has 1 powerful move that also uses all of his Ki and the rest of the moves are nothing noteworthy. Fuu is overall fun to play as really enjoyed him.
10/10 DLC pack. by far my favourite pack out of the 6. GG Dimps for this awesome pack.
android 17 Db super cant use skill
Extra Pack 2 is good .
but Goku Ultra Instinct is a trash .
he cant recovery his stamina .
yes ........ you have to trust me , if you want to fight high difficult level AI alone , do not use Goku Ultra Instinct , its a trash .
The story Is a convoluted mess that isen't worth playing.
This is worth getting, characters are awesome especially that this is one of the first UI goku as a playable character and mastered 2 ....Wish I knew how to get the New Fused Zamasu and Super Saiyan Rosé wigs though ...other than that, this DLC is worth.
COmpared to the other DLC, this one feels like they put more work into it. There's a branching extra story mode that is quite good and provides actual hours of content - the paths that are already branching also change their sequence if you try it with different instructors. A lot of the dialogue is funny in special match-ups too. Not bad. If you're going to pick one DLC for this game, go with this one.
GO FUCK YOUR SELF FOR RIPPING OFF THE SET BUNDLE
Should I get this or the Extra Pack Set?
This is something of a big question because, for the individual, there are a lot of factors at play. If you're just getting this for the new characters, you might as well get the set. If you're getting this for the additional quests and the like, Extra Pack 2 is the better deal but that's not to count out Extra Pack 1's content entirely. Ultimately, even with the added characters, it really is the story where this DLC shines and on that basis telling someone to just get Extra Pack 2 is more cost-effective and more bang for your buck. If you're just looking to fill out your Xenoverse 2 experience in any way, though, Extra Pack 1 still beats the pants off of the non-Time Patrol DLC Packs and has easily the most engaging instructor yet, so it's still well worth it as far as DLC is concerned.
As someone who wants this DLC for the characters, are the characters on offer here worth it?
Well, the easy answer to this is that if you that if you thought the DLC characters for any of the previous DLC packs were worth it, the characters on offer here will meet that standard. Fu is a unique, technical character who really isn't comparable to any other character we've seen so far. Is he fun? Well, this is entirely subjective, but I'd say as far as technical characters go he's certainly up there among the most interesting. DB Super 17 is mostly a clone and as much as I like his character in the arc proper, it just seems like a waste of a slot for what could have been an alternate costume. Then, of course, there are the main attractions: Ultra Instinct Goku and Jiren. I won't really speak about them because despite being over the top they've been covered in detail prior to release and, for the most part, are pretty by-the-numbers characters.
Do I need this to customize Dragon Ball characters/get the new Hero Colosseum story/Dual Ultimates/TP Level-Up content?
Nope. That was all included in Update 1.09 for free. Just make sure your game is updated and go nuts. All this adds is specifically the content mentioned on its page, nothing more, nothing less.
Are the new Time Patrols worth it?
The story in this Extra Pack is by far the single most interesting and ambitious idea of either Xenoverse game, and honestly, I would recommend the Extra Pack even if it only included this. The largest reason for this is its replayability and the introduction of player choice. Granted, the choice on offer here doesn't go that deep, but it does affect the content in ways that nothing else in the series really does. The way it works is that you choose a side before going on the patrol, and then who you fight and the way the fight plays out will change depending on who you sided this. To add to this, the partner that you bring along (being your instructor) will not only have voiced dialog no matter who you choose but in certain instances they will have an effect on the content itself. In every way, this DLC is what Xenoverse should have been in its entirety and addresses various problems that I mentioned about the game itself in the past (Fu directly does this at one point, which was nothing if not satsifying...and a bit of a slap in the face, in hindsight).
Personally, I assume this very self-aware, fan-conscious DLC is a sign of better things in the future. I would assume that this will be the last piece of DLC for Xenoverse 2 but if there is a Xenoverse 3 and they keep what they've learned in mind, it will easily shine as the best in the series and as a capable Dragon Ball title in its own right. So yes, they're damn well worth it.
Summary
If you buy any DLC, any at all, it should be this one at the very least. The content on offer here is some of the best put out by Xenoverse, even if it is relatively brief. If you generally just want more Xenoverse content, this one will sate your appetite about as well as any of the others as it does all of the same things and then some. I've gushed about it enough but honestly this DLC deserves every word of praise that it gets, and hopefully, if we do get a Xenoverse 3, we'll see the ideas on display here utilized there for one hell of a solid experience.
It's a cash grab. The new characters suck, the new PQs are just as boring and grindy as ever but you barely get any new skills and the ones you get suck balls. The story is intresting for about half an hour on your first playthrough but since you gotta repeat it with different assists a million times it just gets tedious and grindy as well. Reward? For 100% you get a title! Much Wow. Are there new outfits? a tuxedo and a wedding dress.....are UI gokus skills available for your CaC? Nope.
This pack is a complete rip-off. Only buy for maybe 1-2 dollar once it's on sale.
-Not bad story and it's replayable with tokipedia.
-Characters: Some are amazing some are broken.
But this DLC is pretty nice I recommend to all Dragon ball Fans
So, while I've generally love Xenoverse 1 and 2 for the most part, I do feel the need to speak up about this one.
The advertising for this DLC pack I felt was very misleading with critical information about what actually is and is not available being very buried. Mentor costuming is WAY more limited than they implied and the ability to change their outfits is not only probably going to be just as limited, but I've recently learned they won't release it until a month later for reasons even the most cynical of interpretations cannot explain.
Admittedly, the new campaign is decent, the new characters are somewhat interesting. The new PQs can be obnoxiously difficult, but some people like that. If you care little about the mentor/partner customization or the costumes offered (that are not yet available) then this might be for you.
But I feel significantly let down and troubled by the increasingly random and bizzare decisions the company is making that just make no sense no matter how I look at it and I feel that warrants a warning to others to raise awareness.
UI Goku is OP, but managable once you work his stamina down when fighting against him. The extra story missions are great, the role masters can play interesting and diverse, and the new PQs are challenging.
However, I've noticed at times during the new story missions that, even though I have it set to English, characters will occasionally say a line in Japanese(for instance, Raditz's line at the end of the new story when you have him as master). Probably could use some bug fixes, but it's far from game breaking.
did not work for me no skills happended
It is amazing Ultra Insinct Goku seems very weak due to its low health and quick stamina depletion but when you get to learn how to use it extremely overpowered and Jiren is great to the fact that his move is so strong you need 10 bars of ki is awesome but meditation is not the easiest move to get working but if you can get Power Rush to hit it will destroy your oppoenet. The Infinite Timelines mechanic is cool and the cutscenes are great and for the price you at getting at least a weekend of new stuff and characters you love and enjoy. Also the awesome partner system that you have to expericence your self.
UI Goku is dope as hell, and so is Android 17. Fu is also quite cool, though a bit too much weeaboo material for me.
jiren can go to hell
If you just want a quick summation of this review, I highly recommend this if you enjoy Xenoverse 2. Alongside Extra Pack 1, this is the best DLC/update to the game.
If you want a more expansive discussion, I'll do that here and break it up into the different features.
STORY:
DLC 6's story is the best in the entire game, and emphasizes the amount of variety and what-if scenarios that has kept the fandom so passionate to this date. Want to see Future Gohan interact with Vegito, meet Videl, fight Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed) to avenge the earth? That's in this DLC pack. The implementation of partner adventures makes mentors much more relevant to the game and adds legitimate replayability to the story since we can now see how different characters react to the four story beats in some unique ways. Keep in mind not all characters will have those special interactions in every mission, but there are many I found particularly enjoyable.
As mentioned above, there are four story missions to this pack, however those spread out into 8 if you consider this pack's new feature, the option to choose whether to correct or change the timeline. With the introduction of Fu, a mysterious character who has been messing with Dragon Ball's history, you can either help him modify scenarios to his liking or stop it similar to how Xenoverse 2's story usually is. This can include helping Tapion save Future Trunks' timeline from Zamasu or defeating the androids Fu has summoned to fight Perfect Cell. These offer some great character interactions and do well in using the characters from both Extra Packs in the story, but it can become repetitive just repeating the same fights over and over again just to get these. However, these offer rewards in the way of Fu's skills that help to keep the player from feeling there's no progress to the missions. Completing missions with instructors also help speed up the friendship stat with them that is of great convenience.
CHARACTERS:
Extra Pack 2 offers 4 new characters: Ultra Instinct Goku, Jiren, Android 17 (Super) and Fu. I can confidently say I love using all of these characters and they are great additions to the roster, 17 and Jiren especially becoming the characters I've personally enjoyed using the most. They offer fun new combos with cool skills that make them viable online and easy to manage casually. Fu plays as a character who is hard to catch and great with managing long range, while Jiren is a great wall that juggles offense and defense and UI Goku is a high-risk, high-reward glass cannon that can do massive damage in one combo.
17 however does have some problems that I personally was disappointed with, though it was not a complete deal breaker. For one, his super soul makes it so he cannot use skills until his health is below 75%. This is compensated with him getting a boost to movement speed (XL) and all attacks (M) also after health goes below 75%. While the benefits are nice, I personally don't like the restriction of not having the use of any skills for fun attack combinations until I've lost a 1/4 of my health. Furthermore, 17 only has one new skill in Rough Ranger. While I like this counter skill, it's a shame that his attacks are just generic skills such as Maximum Charge, Afterimage, Full Power Energy Blast Volley and base 17's original skills Side Bridge, Energy Field and Super Electric Strike. With all he did in Dragon Ball Super, it's a shame he didn't receive more new moves to distinguish him. Another variant could have done well in doing this.
SKILLS:
DLC Pack 6 offers 8 new skills, those being all four of Fu's new skills (Sneaky Strike, Confusion Blade, Energy Minefield, Remote Serious Bomb), Ranger 17's counter-attack Rough Ranger and Jiren's new skills (Power Impact, Meditation, Power Rush). I think these skills all offer some great uses and are strong additions to the game's current list with some unique variety. For instance, 17's counter will allow him to kick the opponent away if it's a physical attack he's countering or let him throw up a protective barrier against ki attacks. Meditation is a great new power-up skill that both looks cool with a character pose and grants a buff of maximizing the character's ki and allowing it to restore for a certain amount of time. Power Rush is a new strike ultimate that does immense damage without being too easy to use that it becomes an easily spammable attack. Fu's skills can beunlocked through the story by completing certain %s of the scenarios with all mentors while the rest are available through the new parallel quests.
EQUIPMENT:
I don't have much to say in terms of supersouls here, it's not something I greatly cared about. There were 8 new ones added to the game, the only one I used was Fu's. Fu's supersoul allows for a boost to ki-blast skills and restores ki if your health is above 75%, that's the only one that offered any benefits I took interest in. There are two new outfits for the CaCs, a Wedding Dress and Tuxedo set for females and males respectively, both of which I found to be fun additions to the game beyond just standard DB outfits.
Parallel Quests:
There are five new PQs, all except one focused on the new Tournament of Power arc in Dragon Ball Super. One is helping Beerus recruit the Universe 7 team, another is helping Ranger 17 find a new wild animal, third is helping Goku train to fight Jiren and the final is a fight to help train the U7 team. The other PQ is related to helping Fu earn new energy by fighting different enemies.
Honestly, I did not like most of these PQs. The first one with Beerus was fun, but the rest all are overly long and boring, with the last one being one of, if not the most difficult PQ in the game. This makes RNG grinding incredibly frustrating when skills do not drop until the tenth or eleventh time running through it.
CONCLUSION:
Extra Pack 2 is a great addition to the game that offers a lot of new fun in its characters, story and skills. It's hindered by some odd quirks to Ranger 17 and the PQs being mostly an annoying affair, but overall it's a fun ride that will keep you entertained for hours at the least.
RATING: 8/10
My Playthrough
The Review
The voice lines for the characters added in this pack specifically are so... quiet. Otherwise, really fun. Jiren's Meditation move in particular is excellent for those who just never seem to have enough ki, and it can be obtained in the Parallel Quests included with this pack.
Game on.
UI goku is just as broken as he is meant to be :D
BestXenoverse2 DLCShitty plot and shitty Characters (especially Fu).
Best dlc i could ever have for DBX2 You should obviously get this guys its worth now 4.99$!
bought it just for wedding dress didnt expect anything much, but new story is surprisingly good and offer lot of replayability.
other stuff i can think of is
-some good super souls for both strike and ki blast build
-heard that ui goku is broken
-power rush one shot ultimate
just a nice dlc in general. for 5$ i'd say it's worth it.
i dont like this dlc pack too hard
I think ultra instinct goku should be stronger. So the dlc is 9/10
DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 - Extra DLC Pack 2 is pretty cool, and of the DLC for Xenoverse 2 I have, I like this one the most. This DLC comes with some pretty useful skills and fan favorite characters that made it a worth while purchase for me.
ultra instinct super soul is amazing.
the extra story is so much fun and could probably one of the sickest additions to xenoverse 2
owned on switch, so i don't expect a difference.
just some extra characters and moves.
YOU CANNOT PLAY ONLINE WITH THIS GAME CURRENTLY!!!
Do not buy this game or any of its DLC until this is fixed. You cannot play with friends or randoms,
Do not give Steam any money until this is resolved!
This is not a single player game.javascript:DSelectNoop();
The story sucks.
Gameplay is great but with people you can play with. Not against an A.I that just crawled out of the womb.
I wasted money you should not as well. Good luck getting a refund if you bought DLC you do not get a refund for it.
Steam wont fix fix the issue with multiplayer content. They will say your internet is bad or your PC cannot handle it. But they are wrong. With the recent Steam Update no one can play with each other at all.
Do not waste your money on this sale. Its not worth it.
All the features you could enjoy are happily unavailable.
Purchase at your own risk.
ALL your DLC is idiotic. Trainers with different, and on top of that, frustrating new mechanics, that are absolutely redundant to the fact of TEACHING A MOVE! Expansions for story that are SOLY made to be as infuriating as possible, and you dare put a pricetag on that crap? I wouldnt even tolerate this from a FREE 2 PLAY game, the fact you want me to pay you 80 bucks unrefundable just to annoy me, is already an idiotic sales strategy, harder doesnt mean better, dying quicker, doesnt mean better, and none of this, explains how you DARE to put a pricetag on infuriation. All our characters at this point are more than capable of doing this stupidass job of protecting the timeline since hitting 90, and all you do is make your entire gameplay reflect anything BUT that simple fact. Rather than letting us enjoy how strong we actually got, you spend the entire late game and all DLC expansions making the game rig against us with worthless droprates, hidden idiocy mechanics, and extensions to story that arent even fun to play, let alone provide anything other than wasting heals and time on stages you likely wont clear, so why would anyone engage in them? You cant even get anything from them remotely worth the effort, you cant get anything from the trainers that you added cuz suddenly using the move you're being taught isnt even enough to learn it. Which makes absolutely no sense at all. All n all you just asked yourself what are the stupidest things to do with DLC and did it. Rather than ask yourselves. What would make our players smile with glee and ENJOY THEMSELVES. As usual Bandai doesnt give anything for a pleasure of an experience and does anything to make people move on from them. While constantly incessively begging for a paycheck left and right while providing nothin reflecting the fact that, WE PAID YOU. At the very least all this As hard as possible bullcrap, especially in the story, should be COMPLETELY optional. Else give us our money back and keep it this way, Cuz no one paid you expecting these F2P mechanics, in a paid game! Nor its DLC which we ALSO PAID FOR. At the very very least, you have an obligation, to make it worth the dime. As it stands you have begged for money incessively and stuffed the game with all things we hate about F2P while making us pay for it. I gain more freedom of choice, in F2P, Without giving them anything. And when i do, it fixes it all. In this case, paying you just loaded my game with crap i have no choice, say, or freedom in.
Good job on another sold piece of evidence, that you truly do not care about anything but dollarsigns.
It says 4 new character but in description it says only (Fu) (Jiren) (Android 17) who is the 4th character
I bought this pack but it isnt showing up in library
