aside from it being, unfortunately, eastern european, the deliveries from russia to england are easy for what they are paying
literally 100k euro for around 500 kilometers of driving and 2-3 ships
recommended because i like making big money in easy ways

not really worth it, just a simple map update, nothing that is exicting or anything. I live in this region and was hyped for this, but in the end was quite dissapointed.

One of the weaker DLCs but still interesting and worth adding in order to expand your trucking horizons!

There's nothing to complain about in regards of the areas being, how to put it "depicted" in this DLC.
As per usual I took numerous screen shots driving around in this DLC.

Some of the areas sink the performance as they are cluttered with high polygon objects. I guess SCS should consider looking over fences, poles and wire and such as they increase the stuttering in those places.
The border passport controls were a nice addition, I'm going to check the Workshop if there is a "Papers please"-mod available.

This is a great DLC that includes 5 new countries to explore. Looks very realistic and the graphics are absolutely class. 10/10 defo reccomend the £14.

cities close together, not a lot added if anything it should come free with the base game, considering the lack of content

Ryker
Ryker

Extremely underwhelming. You know something is wrong when you're driving in the new areas and you can't even distinguish them from base game Germany. The cities are very small and have a lot of repeating assets. The store page mentions how they have brand new unique 3D-assets but I can't see any tangible reflection of this in the environment. It almost feels like they've tried to make a completely new area with vanilla Germany assets.

To be fair, many landmarks and smaller details are beautiful and well integrated. Especially Russia was a positive experience since the area is more distinctive and has character. Some of the Latvian and Lithuanian cities are quite good and they actually feel like urban areas. Sadly, this isn't enough to make the overall environments of the DLC stand out.

Especially as a Fin I found Finland to be very disappointing. Weirdly enough, driving on some of the Russian country roads felt more like Finland than Finland itself. Finland's cities are abysmal, tiny and contain minimal variety making them feel more like tiny towns. The country roads fail to encapsulate the feeling of Finland; thick forests and winding roads broken by sudden open fields, giving a weird and almost claustrophobic feel.

I thought SCS had an upwards trend in terms of quality. Newer DLCs like Vive la France, Scandinavia or Italy were amazing and had a lot of character in the respective areas. Beyond the Baltic Sea is quite disappointing and almost disgusting since mods that add these areas have existed for years and they do a much better job. Sadly the price to content ratio in this DLC is a bit off. You're almost better off getting Promod's map mod.

Rely good DLC if you whant to feel like a real baltic truck driver.

egk1204
egk1204

As a person from Latvia I got to say it was pretty disappointing. The Latvian capital i couldn't even distinguish from a fricking town in Russia. It just a bunch of reused assets with a couple of new signs when entering the city and some landmarks in the distance. And the cities feel cramped and close together. literally got from Liepaja through Riga in 10 minutes. Do not recommend.

Russia doesn't look like Russia

Don't buy this DLC.

It doesn't feel like you're driving in Russia. You try to make bloc buildings but fail while you are doing them. And St. Petersburg is a way different city. I know Trucks are forbidden in city centers, but you can enter to many city centers in this game but not to St. Petersburg? If we are not gonna see that spectacular city, what is the meaning of owning this DLC?

Something is missing. And its atmosphere and soul. Don't buy it. Just stick to your basic pacs. You wont miss a lot.

This made me question if Poland really looks like Poland? Does France really looks like France?

I just bought Essentials Bundle and this DLC on discount. Just to drive around in Russia. I won't buy any other expansion packs from this company. Game is fun. But atmosphere doesn't change when you pass the border into another country.

Lithuania is like from "Eurotrip" movie from 2004. Depressing look and feel. Only soviet "khrushevkas" in all cities. 20% of cars are old soviet ones, really? Look like German developers have implemented Lithuania of their childhood.

Hi,
I've paid for dlc beyond the baltic sea, and so far it's been going well, but when I'm about to play the game, the status appears dlc is missing, so I can't continue to play ets2.

the solution must be how to get my "dlc beyond the baltic sea" to work again

Ahh yes, beyond the Baltic Sea. The way to get far northeast to drive in Finland where somehow you will get to see less of Finland than you will of freaking Norway. Look at the map, what even if that map supposed to be. It only includes the tip of Finland, no joke, the tip. It's kinda insulting at this point to even include Finland with the DLC since you get such a small portion of Finland that Norway has slightly more coverage.

I love the extension Poland to Estonia and St Petersburg, Russia. But honestly, Finland shouldn't have been included if all you get is 7 cities in the far south of Finland and 2 ports. Other than that, the DLC is actually fine.

It's the same issue as the Scandinavia DLC, only covers the far south tips of Norway, Sweden, and now Finland.
Lets get some expansion into the north included with the DLCs at no extra cost and I'll be able to improve this rating.

I recommend because of the edition of Luthuania, Latvia, Estonia, and St Petersburg, Russia (Granted it's a bit pricey) don't get it if you have your heart set on Finland, it'll be quite a letdown unless they add so much more to Finland.

This DLC made my worst ETS2 driving experience, speed shifting from a random to another random like a fucking roller coaster every fucking 10 seconds. This is the only DLC that every time I drove my truck on it and get annoyed. every single fucking time.

some road has speed design so bad that has a sign 50 just for a house, was driving at certain high speed then have to slow down just for this fucking shit house, then when I just slowed to 50, it told me that I am out of the house's zone and I can resume back to high speed, mother fuckers!

I really enjoyed other DLC, a lot of fun really, except Spanish a bit laggy, but it got really nice highway there, but this DLC, road was designed to fucking piss the shit out of me. Probably just me

While I enjoy this DLC, I would definitely say avoid this expansion if you are short on cash and are looking to buy a DLC that would be worth while. Out of all the other expansions for ETS2, I would say this is probably one of the more bland ones. Content wise its very good, it provides new ferry routes, added the south of Finland (the only place where you can operate HCT trailers), and it adds four cities in Russia, which were done very nicely. Furthermore, I would recommend this DLC for any interested in purchasing it, however, I wouldn't suggest making it a priority buy over the other expansion packs such as Viva la France and Italia.

По моему мнению лучшее DLC на розширение карты в ETS2. Очень проработаная карта во всяких мелочах.

Rīga looks quite accurate, maybe slightly dated, to me it feels like going back in time and visiting Riga in 2000-2010.
But why is speed limit in city 80 km/h? I know everyone is speeding here, but we don't speed so much :D

The developer participates in informational warfare.
And the map is actually bad. Highways are represented by a tiny pices, which get passed within a minute, before you need to break at another stupid roundabout with extremely low speed limit.

Overall I enjoyed this dlc, the roads and cities were accurate and felt nice to drive around. One issue that annoyed me while playing, is that so many of the roads were locked, while driving around I would notice whole sections closed and at times I would get to an intersection and half the roads would be closed. If you plan to buy this dlc wait for it to go on sale or buy a steam key.

I enjoyed driving this so much, it was my favorite after the Black Sea and next to France. My favorites are the towns, St. Petersburg, the Russian forests and the big wide roundabouts. The Steam achievement Industry Standard is a real pain in the butt though, unless you think ahead and write a diary on your jobs.

I'm changing my review to negative because of the pricing policy in Turkey and other countries . I bought all DLC's with almost all country's paints. I even bought some of them with the full price when they came up, to show my support to SCS. Plus I gifted this game or its contents to many of my friends, meaning; I brought many new truckers to this journey!

From now on I'm not gonna recommend this game to any of my friends, I won't send gifts, I will wait months, even a year to get a good discount to buy the new contents. I understood that our money has not too much value comparing to $ but it doesn't mean you should higher the prices up to 300% !!!!!!

134 Try is just way too much for a map, if it's really necessary to change the prices, please make it reasonable, not from 48 try to 134 try. Thank you.

Absolute garbage. I seriously regret spending money on this DLC.

All the roads are twisty single lane roads with constant, and I mean constant reasons to have to stop. Railway crossings, toll booths, X-ray scans, and the god awful checkpoints that inexplicably force you to stop twice (both times having to stop, press enter, and wait).

Even if these locations were part of the base game, now I've been there once and seen how garbage they are, I would never ever go there again because it's such a hassle to drive there.

The landscapes might be beautifully detailed, but I wouldn't know because as a result of it all being tiny little roads I couldn't take my eyes off the road.

I bought this expansion on a 70% off sale and I still feel ripped off.

Pairs great with the Scandinavia DLC. Lots of new detailed cities and roadways and fun places to see. Grabbing it on sale for $6 makes it a total steal.
