Some of the best & biggest houses you can get, including non-houses, such as boat house & an office building. Love the art style of the characters; reminds me of this choose your own adventure style ebook called The Arcana by Nix Hydra.

new Missions
a great dlc

Bloodwolf the Fox
Bloodwolf the Fox

The new Missions are nice and the voice acting is fine (not good, just fine).
I like the new items and whilst I prefer the smaller houses of the base game or the more country stile buildings from the pets dlc, this is still a really good expansion.

If you enjoy the Game on its own or any of the other dlcs, this will be just as enjoyable.

Extremely unimpressed that after anticipating this game for so long, it's basically unplayable, even two days after its release. I'm stunned that they let it go when you can't even get passed the first new task (sanding the anchor) I normally don't write reviews like this, but I'm honestly frustrated.

The absolute GREATEST DLC House Flipper could have released! It is right up there with the HGTV DLC in terms of adding incredibly cool and useful items to the game, and the new ability to change and add windows is a complete joy! I also absolutely LOVE that we can at least change the color of stairs now (within a few options that hopefully will be expanded on in future DLCs?).

Definitely an amazing DLC that was well worth the wait!

So after playing this game for IDK how long....over half of that time showing that I've "played" the game is loading times, lag times, freezes, and just general god damn bugs in this game. The base game is fun. There's a lot of good things about it but this DLC is FAAAR from optimized for computers. It's constantly crashing, lagging, so many bugs, and more. The items are nice...the jobs are nice....but damn come on....it's like the same thing every DLC with just new items. Give us bigger homes. Allow us to BUILD our own home from the GROUND UP. That would be amazing.

This DLC can be a lot of fun...but when you can't even get past half the jobs because it's constantly crashing...it's not even fun. I do not recommend the DLC at this time. If they optimize it and fix all of the crashing and bugs then it might be worth it.

Really pleased with this DLC. Can't wait until I am done with the orders so that I can start buying the places for myself :D

Pros:
* A good amount of hours for the price, and you can buy the apartments/houses after you have finished a job.
* You can purchase the items needed directly from the task menu without having to use the store.
* A lot of new, useful items added, that looks good and brings on inspiration.
* Renovation mini game.
* Fun and quirky characters presented with nice graphics, voiced intros.
* I'm on a boat!
* The choices are more fun than in the HGTV, the inspiration bits are nice!

Cons/Suggestions for improvement:
* Can't seem to combine with the Garden DLC when decorating.
* With so many new items added, the store has grown even more, and it is really clunky to find what you need/sort/look through the menus these days. Better filtering options please, especially since many items now consist of 6+ words which makes searching by typing the name a chore..
* Cannot place furniture on the balconies when renovating.
* Sometimes you are given so many items to place that the only option is to have it look really cramped/ugly.
* Would still have liked more freestyle decorating within a budget, I was never really a fan of "place 3 of these and 2 of these", the freedom to decorate my way is the most fun about this game!
* Most walk-in-closets are too tiny to really be viable, breaking immersion.

Love this DLC! Bigger houses and homes. In love with the mood-boards and having more option with the decor.

Needs a few fixes. I had an issue with the Pitch-Perfect mission and couldn't 100% it (got to 98% which wasn't a huge issue). The game crashes (every 2-3 hours) and freezes (about once every 30 minutes) randomly and doesn't seem to have a trigger. (Not really an issue) I couldn't remove 1 or 2 weeds on the Art Heritage property which really annoyed me even though its not important.

Kinda bummed there wasn't cross-over with the Garden DLC. Some of these homes would have looked great with the lawn mowed and a few tree's/ flowers added.

im loving this DLC the most out of all of them. the voice acting and introduction of the characters was a nice touch, and something i wished had been added to the HGTV DLC. theres some minor bugs here and there, but i havent encountered anything particularly bad or game breaking. i hope to see more great DLC like this in the future

I cannot recommend this currently, the windows are bugged and become opaque if you move more than 5 feet away, the water on the Yacht map is extremely bad, ignores lighting, and there's a wealth of other issues that will prevent you from enjoying this. Wait for some patches.

I am a huge fan of House Flipper, Used to watch youtubers play the game. I play the heck out of the game now myself and love it, lets say it lets my creative side out. But it does lag the heck out of my pc with turning the graphics to low. I really would like to maybe see more houses because i do feel like i actually finished the DLC to quickly. But still love it

Got to build an expensive gaming den for a hot business daddy. I am in bliss.

In all seriousness, this DLC is quite worth it in my eyes. It adds a lot of things I wish we had in the past, and allows me to finally build some truly impressive and expensive homes for myself and my clients.

The new furniture and other features are great, and pools are a welcome addition. The story is a bit anticlimactic since you get no feedback after completing a job, which would've been a nice touch and give it a more personal touch when you complete a job.

Oh, and did I mention hot gamer business daddy? What else could you want?

Overall a fantastic piece of DLC that I don't regret buying. But maybe that's just because I find this game way more satisfying than it should be. I look forward to completing every last bit of it, and constructing my dream mansion.

Great DLC! I've been playing it for a while and it really adds a lot to the game. And the orders are fantastic, each one has its own story line. Although I did encounter a few minor bugs while playing such as a glitch where you fully complete an order and it still says it is not 100% complete. (Although I do get that its in the early stages and it will probably be fixed soon) All in all, I would definitely recommend this game.

I have been a fan of house flipper for a while now. However, I wanted more stylish furniture options and definitely more jobs. This dlc delivered that in abundance. I am blown away by the sheer amount of content the developers have included in this expansion. Definitely worth the wait and the money (which is very reasonable, by the way). I would definitely recommend this to anyone who really enjoys the base game but is looking for a bit more.

I never liked the jobs/tasks/renovation/buyers-parts of this game and - although I think the new voice acting is really great, kuddos for that! - that is the same with this DLC. I also don't like the new renovation feature (at all, sorry)! But I still love House Flipper a LOT because of the building possibilities (albeit limited in this game), the pre-made houses, the pre-made environments and all the items to design with and all of this in combination with the first person camera view and good graphics. I think the garden DLC is still the most "needed" DLC (and in my opinion should have been part of the base game), but this DLC (Luxury) is in my eyes - by far - the best/nicest one! The new window mechanics make a huge (positive) difference and for the biggest part I absolutely love the new (and very different) houses (11 + 1 yacht) and new items! In my opinion this DLC is more than well worth its money and thank you so much, devs, for making this! It has really uplifted my love for the game as a whole!

This DLC is broken. I'll update this review when it's fixed. Renovating an object can cause your game to softlock, and sometimes the renovation just breaks itself entirely.

SO much new content! New floors and walls and paint and ceiling lamps and rugs and pictures and mirrors and plants and and and... (take a deep breath, Krasnii, phew) most importantly YOU CAN MOVE WINDOWS! You can place windows anywhere you want! I am over the moon!

Oh, yes, there are new missions too if you're very mission-oriented! I finished those without any "bugs" but I don't play this game for the missions from DLCs, but for the creativity of decorating. Have I said that I am over the moon? Holy moly, you can remove and replace windows! And there are sooooo many new ways to decorate! This DLC eclipsed my hopes! More than worth the price of admission.

ETA: You can move light switches! Wowza! I'm half tempted to re-start from the beginning.

I like the Luxury DLC very much, worth the wait. However, there are some issues when playing the game mainly the game lags, stutters, and freezes in a short time during in-game which needs to be addressed. Other than that, after playing the whole thing, I feel that it's not enough. The reasons:

- I was expecting to have more buildings with more rooms and more spacious areas but somewhat still looks average.
- It seems like that the number of buildings somewhat almost similar to the HGTV DLC.
- There are some houses and apartments (which are not included as seen in the map) which are bigger, more spacious, more stunning, and looks more luxurious than some of them, which I hope they can make another expansion update on that.

Overall, I enjoyed playing the DLC, worth the wait and money, you guys worked really hard on it and I appreciate your effort. I hope you can make some changes to the gaming issues and make an update on more building expansions, that would make this Luxury DLC even more worthwhile and Luxurious.

I've put a lot of hours into House Flipper and this DLC adds a fair amount of new content. The new map location is lovely as is the different style of new buildings. New paint, furniture, pools, doors and the ability make windows changes a lot. It's more fun to now customise the house you are doing over. I honestly love this - because it did add some freshness to the game.

Will I have to replay all the new levels that involves the renovation of old pieces of furniture because that feature currently doesn't work? Yeah. Does it freeze more now when opening the tablet and picking things? Yeah. Does is handle this update well? Not really. Do some new houses have permanent dirt stain bugs? Yup.

But the DLC adds a refreshing amount of new options and is really fun. If you wanna wait until they fix the bugged issues - it'd be the smart thing to do. But if you are like me and could not wait for more content for the game then I'd say give it a go.

DISCLAIMER: This DLC is rather buggy. The property sizes in the browser seem to be displaying incorrectly. There have also been some minor glitches with painting/wallpapering/panelling and door installation. The rest of this review assumes the bugs have been fixed.

Luxury Flipper is similar in structure to the HGTV DLC. It is on a separate map, and you need to complete a mission to renovate a given property in its entirety before it appears in your browser. The devs have obviously learned from their HGTV mistakes. The properties are very varied in both style and condition, the backstories are actually memorable, and the mildly creepy-looking designers have been replaced by portraits of the clients, quality voice acting and the Inspirations mechanic.

House Flipper DLCs have always been astonishing value for money, and this one is no exception. 12 properties in total, including a yacht, a commercial space, two mansions, three modern houses and several large apartments. For the first time ever, the missions task us with kitting out a commercial office, a home gym and an indoor swimming pool. There's also all the equipment you'd need for a home cinema room. The overall variety of new items is excellent, ranging in style from classical columns and 19th century-style panelling to modern minimalism.

The gardens also range in size from completely absent to reasonably large. Although they tend to be smaller in relation to the size of the houses than some of the base game ones, you are likely to spend so much time renovating the properties themselves that you wouldn't mind.

The new mechanics got mixed reviews from players. Replacing windows and staircases in the new properties is a doddle, and there have been no complaints so far. The "inspiration boards" are extremely helpful, while also allowing for creativity, so everybody loves those as well. Furniture renovation is more divisive. Some players, including myself, are slightly disappointed that this mechanic is restricted to missions - we were hoping to be able to renovate some of the furniture in auction-able properties as well. Others argue there's Too Much renovation - "This isn't Carpentry Simulator, you know..." Which means that the balance has been struck about right - antiques are valuable for a reason...

Overall, all of this game's DLCs are excellent and work great as a set. But if you can only afford one DLC - get this one!

It's pretty good so far, enjoying all the new items and content to play through.
Really disappointed that you can't garden on any of the new properties...
The characters are as boring and trite as you'd expect rich people to be, lol.

The before and after portfolio only shows from your last save point to your final.
A refurb item for one of the clients is bugged and (with a lot of effort) you can get it to 95% to quick finish it.

Biggest issue is, after installing the DLC, I have a decent amount of random lag and the game randomly crashes :(

Earthworm Jim

Honestly, this is my favourite expansion released for this game so far. The sheer amount of new features and effort on display is amazing, and the new region is gorgeous. The new items are also extremely useful, though some do overlap with popular workshop items sometimes. I especially loved the restoration mechanic, and would love to see it expanded and used more. Maybe if you have the dlc, some of the earlier jobs allow you to use it in places? I felt the same way about the Garden expansion as well, though this seems easier to implement.

As far as the characters go, I feel like I'm in the minority when I say that I think they add a welcome presence to the game and help breathe some life into it. The voice acting is great, the writing is pretty good, and the art on all of them is amazing. I also loved the moodboards they show you for each location, it definitely feels like actual interior decorating now instead of just checking items off a list. If I have any complaint with them at all, it's that aside from their intro and the description of their moodboard, they don't really stick around. I'd love to see their reactions to the finished houses, maybe it changes based on if you picked the furniture/colour scheme they wanted or not. I dunno, something to make it feel a little less video game-y.

This expansion isn't perfect though. As many have noted, there seems to be an extra weight on the hardware than before. I haven't noticed any particular frame drops or the like, but I have run across a frequent bug where the game will almost crash for a minute, then get back on it. It's regular enough that I feel like it's being caused by a specific process or optimization hiccup related to the size or detail of these locations, rather than the engine itself like some have speculated. I've also run into some lighting related bugs where it feels like objects that used to completely light up a room now only project a beam straight down or don't go as far as they used to. That I'm willing to believe is something that'll be ironed out quick in a hotfix, but it is worth noting. I also feel the same way towards this that I did with the HGTV expansion, in that there are a couple of features that I feel should've been released in a free patch instead of tied to this game, namely the ability to change stairs and windows. That's something I've wanted for the base houses for a long time, and unfortunately it's only available in the houses for this dlc. And while I'm nitpicking, I'd still desperately love the ability to customize ceilings. If doing things like adding textures and panels to them aren't an option, at least let me paint them.

Overall though, I had a blast with this expansion, and I'm looking forward to using the new items and houses for my own projects! Happy flipping!!

I love House Flipper but this DLC is pretty ehhhh. It's super buggy and the missions are tedious, plus the characters they came up with for them are obnoxious af. I figured I wouldn't be thrilled about the concept of this one, but I'd hoped I would enjoy playing with the new mechanics. As it is, though, I can't see myself bothering to finish the new map.

It's a really nice DLC but I was expecting a bit more from it.

There are a lot of new objects, furniture and paint shades among other things, besides new music, which feels refreshing. It's really similar to the HGTV DLC because instead of "responding" to e-mails like you did in the base game, you have to renovate entire homes all the time based on a certain budget.

To be honest I would have liked receiving e-mails about renovating maybe part of a house, building a new room or renovating a couple of rooms in an already built-luxury house instead of having to renovate entire old homes all the time.

PS: I haven't finished all the new quests yet but if you want to buy houses to resell, they're actually the same houses you start with at the beggining of each quest which can feel a bit repetitive! Wish we got brand new constructions instead of recycling the ones we already had to renovate. Maybe this changes during the course of the DLC, but for now this is what I've experienced!

These new 'quests' have a backstory and you see a basic cinematic-like scene at the beggining of each quest, and the characters who hire you for renovations talk about them and what they're expecting. I personally don't care much about what they have to say but the good thing is you can skip them or choose to watch it, incase you're interested in backstories!

Although it's nothing new, the in-game performance is still quite poor, I have a decent PC and can play a lot of games at constant +144fps but this game keeps dropping from 150 to 120 to 40 constantly besides making my PC sounds like a plane engine - and this game's graphics are not even that great! I hope these performance issues can be fixed sometime soon because it can get a bit frustrating.

I love this game and waited forever for this DLC. It came out at a really fair price for what you get, which is even better if you download workshop content! This community creates some really cool stuff. I'm enjoying it and don't regret buying it, but there's always some aspects that could be improved!

For some unknown reason, when i click to play the luxury dlc, it just takes me to the normal house flipper app, then when i click dlc on the main menu, it says i own lurury dlc, but when i click on it, it pops up with an online steam link with the same button i clicked to start playing luxury dlc. but when i click on play again, nothing happens. If you're like me and enjoy the finer things in life, this is the perfect DLC. Adding a bit of 50 shades to one of the missions was also a genius stroke, not because the novel was great (because let's face it, it wasn't), but because a dionysian lifestyle is what we all dream of. Or at least me.

DO NOT BUY THIS until they fix the severe bugs!!!
Worst roll out of any DLC I have ever seen. On release day it had minor bugs, nothing I could not live with. As time went on and they did "Updates" the bugs got worse and worse until its become so frustrating I dont even want to play it anymore. You spend hours renovating a home, save the game and exit, come back in a few hours to the game and find all your renovations partially or completely gone. Imagine spending 10 hours over the course of 3 days working on a house and come back to find on the 4th day 90$ of your renovations are gone and you have to start over. I feel like an unwilling and unknowing beta tester who paid for this garbage DLC. I am glad I did not leave my review on day one of release, because it was really good for the first week. But ever since they have started doing hot fixes to supposedly fix the minor bugs, they've caused massive major disasters. There are at least 3 of the Luxury DLC homes now that I cannot renovate because I come back to find at least 90% of my renovations are gone. What gives guys? I loved this game and you've ruined it!

Sorry to say, this DLC feels a bit unfinished. Though I love the main game and the other DLCs, Luxury Flipper has been a lot less enjoyable to me. The jobs do feel a bit tedious sometimes, and there are odd details that should not have made it into the finished product (jobs asking for wooden floors on the bottom of a shower; missing lights; missing tools in some houses...).. And then there's the bugs: spending hours and hours on a renovation to then return and find that most of your progress has been undone (despite saving) - that's just frustrating.

On the plus side: the possibility to change windows is great, and furniture renovation is a nice touch. I also like the new music and the diverse (if somewhat stereotypic) characters.

Don't play this DLC until the bugs are fixed.

fantastic dlc!! i enjoyed it so much i did all the jobs really quickly and now i miss it. just remodeling houses for the sake of it is fun but doing it for a fun character with an actual voice and preferences is much better. plus the jobs actually make the interiors much cuter than in the base game and hgtv. i hope hf goes in this direction more. only downside is the game freezes since i got the dlc :

Frisky Ginger

This expansion broke just about everything the made the base game halfway decent. Previous saves are now broken with furniture stuck in the walls/ceiling/floor where you can not move or delete it. Many of the house have permanently broken windows and doors, where the only option is to delete them, at which point they can never be replaced, trapping you on a balcony. Needed tools are often inaccessible for the job.

As Usual, anything the PlayWay touches is absolute garbage.

Ethan_Bot
Ethan_Bot

I love the new DLC! The base game is a ton of fun, but this DLC offers a lot more freedom when it comes to what clients want and makes it easier to create a more cohesive design for an entire home, rather than just having things picked out for you!

I really, really hope that maybe some day the devs will go back and take this approach with a lot of the previous levels, and potentially add some integration with the other DLC titles--I'd really love to be able to do both garden and luxury work for the client-based assignments. It would make this even better!

Wedgietime
Wedgietime

I've held off on writing a poor review because I love House Flipper so much, but the negligence and lack of detail that went into this expansion is concerning. In short, it seemed like it was rushed through. I've noticed some game breaking bugs along with several small bugs. Little attention was paid to the finer details of the game, which is important to me. Also, while I haven't completely finished this DLC, I am several new houses in and have yet to see any luxurious sprawling mansions.

In detail, I have encountered a some game breaking bugs that cause me to fall through the floor when painting beside an indoor pool, teleport outside, and continue to fall through when I enter the house, even after loading to the main menu. When reporting this it was requested I send in a video and then I never heard back from them after I did. For minor bugs I've also noticed several walls that refuse to be demolished or painted and spots that refuse to remain clean. If you demolish/paint/clean them and leave the house they reappear in their previous state when you load back in.

My complaints aside from bugs are - It just feels weak and rushed. The voice acting was OKAY but unnecessary. I wish the resources that were put into that were used in other areas. The new restoration mechanic is more busywork than fun. It feels like something you would do in a free mobile game. Lots of detail is missing from the new houses. Generally it feels like they were slapped together and nobody check to make sure rooms had lights, let alone for bugs. Lots of rooms missing lights or light switches and other fine details as well. While not an issue for some, those details are important to me.

It's not all bad. Some of the concepts are neat, some of the new colors are nice as well. At the end of the day though, this doesn't add anything I love. None of the new furniture is super nice to me and while some of the new houses are nice, none of them are outstanding. If they manage to fix the bugs and add small bits of detail in future patches I would give this a 5/10 and say if you like the base game support them by buying it.

I really hope they spend more time and thought on the Pets DLC.

Motley

This DLC is fun and i have enjoyed it BUT i'm actually really disappointed with the houses themselves. The way they were described was that they were going to be huge, given you can have indoor pools and such. I was honestly expecting the home alone house size and bigger, but they are pretty much the same sort of size as the larger houses from the base game a few being smaller.

There are also still the issues with items clipping through walls and bugs in the game. Currently the house i'm using i have a shower mount clipping through the wall and because its on the stairs i can't put anything in front of it and also i can't put anything on the balcony, it's like the game doesn't see it.

I gotta say, the negative reviews had made me skeptical but I persisted non-the-less and my faith was rewarded, you get a ton of new abodes of large apartments, houses, mansions and a unique house boat and a entire level of a office building to work with (which is what I chose), which allows for some more elaborate designs and are great end-game content when you have a lot of cash to burn and in top efficiency with all the perks unlocked.

I on top of the new locals, new objects the "story" mode for the job list has higher production value.

The reviews saying that this is lazy or glitchy are issues that have already been resolved or lies, the only glitch I got is that I ONCE fell through the map but quickly popped back and nothing more came of it.

It's a good DLC.

I love this update. I'll get cons out of the way first:

- I'm one of the few that actually really like the stories at the beginning. The voice acting is top notch and some of the plots are a nice "wink wink" to famous films. The problem is that there's nothing afterwards to say if you did a good job or not. It would've been great for the clients to be annoyed if you didn't stick to the inspiration boards or be unhappy if you didn't finish everything.
- It would've been nice to have new clients in the auction bit of the game.
- Inventory is still shocking. It used to be ok but they changed it a few updates ago.

Pro's:
- Love all the new item additions. Especially changing windows and stairs (more stair choices would be nice though).
- The music is great. There's nothing like mowing the lawn to some smooth jazz.
- The variety of the new houses is fantastic; the devs really hit the nail on the head with this one.

Overall, I love House Flipper, this update made me love it even more. Sure it still has it's "quirks" but it's still one of my favourite games to play. Looking forward to the pets update; not for the pets but to finally be able to paint ceilings!

There're so many opportunities to build sophisticated and more beautiful home design.
Renovated houses look like luxury hotels.
I like this DLC I consider it as the best of House Flipper. It makes me improve the way I create home designs.

I originally gave this DLC a bad review because it crashed repeatedly. In less than three weeks one of the patches issued by the developer fixed my issue. I made things harder by forgetting to enable comments on my reivew. :(

I recommend this DLC and the entire game if you like a chill game with a good soundtrack to while away the time with.

Love the added jobs this DLC brings, the voice acting for the characters, and the fact that each character whose house you renovate seems to have a story that goes along with why they want the place renovated.

However not every house in this DLC are you able to renovate, only a select few, i would've much preferred it if every house in Moonrise bay had a story, characters to it and you were able to renovate each job, same can be said for the HGTV DLC which also only gives you a few houses out of many that you are able to renovate.

I thought about recommending it but after rethinking about everything I disliked I feel like it was worse than better! I mean its kinda good its just more stuff to house flipper with new mobilia and new things to do that honestly add nothing to the gameplay. It looked good but it was very frustrating for me even tho I had my share of fun.

- If characters are gonna be added and we have to follow what they want, which i enjoyed, thought was really fun, I would at least expect to see their reactions! I was so disappointed when I finished the first one and then there was nothing not even how many stars they would give so all of that for nothing?
- Three of the houses had the same annoying bug where it said there was one trash on the floor but there was nothing!!! So the house wouldn't be at 100% done which sucks.
- The repairing part is fun at first but then is the same thing over and over with a lack of options on how to change the mobilia
- But the most disappointing thing for me was the last house such a big nice house I was so excited and then you just firnish like 3 rooms and break some walls? Like what? I thought it was leave the best for last such a huge house for nothing

If you like House Flipper I would say go ahead and buy it but wait for a nice sale at least :/

Relative to the other House Flipper DLCs, Luxury is better overall than Garden but not as good as HGTV. Where it surpasses HGTV is in terms of content: there are a dozen or so new houses in this DLC, each of which adds about two hours of new content in the "client missions." All of the new houses are purchasable. A couple of them are, in fact, quite game-breaking in terms of the profit margin that you can make from buying them with minimal effort (looking at you in particular, yacht).

Downsides first! There is both a new "inspiration" mechanic and a new "furniture restoration" mechanic. Both are interesting but both are incredibly under-baked. "Inspiration" comes in the form of a small set of graphics that each client will show you that highlights their preferred colors, textures, and shapes. It's a really nifty idea! You look at the graphics and then decide how you want to finish the house based on these notes. The problem is that the DLC doesn't follow it up at all: there's no feedback based on your choices and nobody judges what you do to see if what you've done either looks good or even follows the inspiration graphics. Given that there's a long voice acted opening for each mission, this is disappointing.

Likewise, the furniture restoration mechanic is a really nifty idea, the UI is quite intuitive, and the mechanics are engaging. But again, there's no feedback. You can refinish a desk to be a hideous red and yellow monstrosity and the "client" won't say anything about it. Finally, there's a couple of clever new clients but only minimal effort has been made to tell stories the way some of the houses in the original game do.

All the above said, the client missions are very cleverly done and you'll get a lot of interesting ideas both in terms of how the new houses are set up now and the interesting things that you can do with the new furniture, colors, and accessories. If you enjoy the core game play loop of House Flipper, this is more of what you'll like. A couple of the new houses in particular are very enjoyable to flip and unlike the HGTV DLC, there are no ugly annoying ones. I particularly enjoyed flipping the yacht, the 13th floor, the loft, and the cliff house outside the client missions.

In terms of fun per dollar, if you can get this DLC modestly on sale, there's a lot here to make you happy.

I loved the first House Flipper game but after I beat it, I was hungry for more. Sure enough, this DLC went on sale and I snagged it straight away. I've been having a blast with the new houses, furniture, and story lines. There's themes now for each place and each client, so it makes you put more thought into the redecoration of homes. There's also a new option to "restart" or "redo" your old renovations which I find fun because I love to redecorate the gorgeous home layouts that they've added, just to see how far I can push my creativity each time. They also added the ability to refurbish old, vintage furniture which gives you a chance to create unique items. Definitely recommend this DLC if you're a fan of the original!

There is a whole bunch of new "jobs" in this pack, along with a lot of new items. The jobs each have a little story to them, and they are interesting and each very different. After several days I am not done all the jobs. There is enough new stuff that it is worth full price.

The missions for the clients are really fun and interesting. The new homes to renovate are designed well. I made my biggest profit to date on renovating a boat. Made a $748,000.00 profit. I make less on homes. Or maybe I just put more time into the boat. Either way. Fun, new stuff, everything you want. I want more.

The Luxury DLC is my favourite addition to date!

There are 12 new jobs and houses each with their own unique story, including lovely looking character portraits and voice acting! Though the job introductions are skippable if those don’t interest you.

I feel like this DLC has improved on the visual and story aspects that the HGTV DLC introduced while still having its own unique twist on that formula. Each client provides you with a moodboard to work with in specific rooms which is a really nice touch and makes the jobs feel like more of a collaborative process.

The new cast of characters have a few funny references to other figures in pop media which is pretty neat although they stand out as interesting characters on their own, despite their short screen time. That said, it would have been nice to see the client's reaction to the completed job as it feels a little jarring that they disappear after the introduction. It makes the jobs feel a little incomplete although it’s not a huge flaw overall.

This DLC also introduces a lovely new furniture set and a restoration mechanic! I really like the restoration mini-game but it’s a shame that it’s only available during the jobs and can’t be applied to any furniture out in the main game as I was hoping it would be a new tool to use.

My only other complaint about the restoration mechanic is that when you shave wood it often seems to take off the little details that make the pieces so unique and an option to reapply those would have been great! Other than that it’s a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it.

This DLC also doesn’t combine with the Garden DLC during the jobs, so you can’t mow the grass :(

The new houses are insanely big and look fantastic, they’re perfect for anyone craving new content from the base game and I fully recommend checking them out!

Easily the best House Flipper DLC so far. Plenty of new content with a whole bunch of added items and houses, as well as a load of fresh jobs which add several hours of game time. Feels like a good hefty addition to the main game. Definitely worth the base price; a steal if you get it on sale.

The best Add-On so far! It is so much fun to design homes I won't be able to afford ever. I like the plant designs very much. Also its nice to have these desing sheets from the customers, which allows me to know what they like.
Really recommend buying this!

A solid DLC that adds quite a bit new furniture to play with, and a lot of new homes to renovate.

I played through the campaign in about 2 or 3 days, playing basically nonstop. I believe I got my money's worth.

The scope of this DLC is larger than the gardening one and is more in tune with the HGTV DLC, in which you're renovating for established clients with a bit more personality than the base game or the gardening DLC. But I think the depth of these characters were cut short, as you get an opening cutscene of the clients explaining what they wish to do with the place, and then they don't say anything during or even after your renovation. I think having them call you during your progress through phone calls or something, adding tidbits to their personality, would have made them more realized, with a final meet up with their displaying their excitement or disappointment based on how much you actually finished their home.

The renovation mini-game is quite fun, but not utilized as much as I would've hoped. I expected after the first renovation of the yacht I would get e-mails from clients requesting that their old furniture be renovated, which you could do as a side gig while progressing through the campaign. It would make total sense, and it would add a lot of low effort content for the player to go through that doesn't require a scenic backdrop with a fully functioning home for the developers to build. This would allow the player to either ignore the renovation if they don't enjoy it as a mini-game, or go through it if they do or just want more content. It would be a great buffer between the large house flips you're asked to do, but you get nothing of the sort. And it's really unfortunate! I really did enjoy the renovation process of the few items you do get to refurbish. If this kind of side gig concept could be added in an update or something I would fully welcome it.

As other have said, the other DLCs don't really come into play here. There are some lots you can utilize gardening with, but probably about half are apartments and don't have lawns. But no clients want gardens to be added regardless. It's unfortunate, but understandable I suppose. It just would've been a nice addition to see two DLCs integrated with one another.

I was surprised that they hired voice actors for the clients, most of which were well acted but some were quite bad. One of the actresses read out "tee hee" very literally two times, which was jarring to listen to. Nobody actually says "tee hee", it's more of a spelling of a kind of laugh. Like you wouldn't read out "ha ha ha", you'd just try to make an actual laugh. That was sort of bothersome, and there's tiny things like that with the acting that got to me.

The 2D art of the clients is a MASSIVE improvement to the horrible, ugly 3D models used in the base game. I really, really hope they update the game and replace those nightmarish people with something more tasteful to look at.

Overall, it seems like they had a large scope they wanted to do with this DLC, but something just didn't allow it to come to fruition. Time, money, executives, who knows? But they did what they could, and honestly what's here is really good.

Easily one of the best, most sumptuous DLCs for House Flipper yet, if you ask me. HGTV did a lot for the styling in the game, and introduced a range of new colours and textures, and houses on stilts. But with this DLC, the colours, textures and houses are all actually on steroids. I think the developers must have got someone in with an eye for style for this DLC, it’s done so well and I am particularly sold on the new colours for paint, wall coverings, furniture, wood and metal in this DLC.

Before this DLC, I had found it hard to mix colour moods as there were not enough shades of reds, blues, greens, purples, browns or yellows. Luxury DLC really is now a joy for colours and moods, and old colours from the base game are alive again – I particularly love the new ‘subtle’ lilac, Indian rose, sea depths, copper coin, and hot brick, and light eosine, crystal, morning celadon and forest mist are all fantastic alternatives to white. Furniture also comes in new bright shades including bright pastel colours so bathrooms, and other rooms you use these units in can be interesting and fun.

On the wood, there are some excellent new textures including burned beech (so very mid-century), cool ash, cool mahogany, spruce, old spruce, chocolate larch, dark padauk, teak - to name a few. Old woods also are incorporated in new furniture really well including cherry and wenge and these are now some of my new favourites to use for accent colouring. At last, you can create really cool and calm spaces predominantly using muted woods, and cool ash is really one of the best additions here.

I also note that there are now wooden floor mouldings which can also be used up the walls. This means that saunas can be covered in wood (cedar benches now have matching cedar wall mouldings). Wooden beams can also now be used on the ceilings to complete the look.

One of my favourite new additions are the free standing and mountable glass screens. The mountable screens come in a range of metals, and can be attached outside on external walls, as well as in between rooms to create internal windows. There are floor-to-ceiling and also floor-to-lintel versions of the Igniti, for example. Aside from use in the bathroom as a shower screen, these mountable screens allow you to partition internal rooms and outdoor spaces with glass, and can make for some really fabulous builds.

The metals have also had a bit of an overhaul. >>Finally

I have 180 hours into the base Sim and the DLC's at this point and on my second play through, see my other reviews on the other DLC's, this is for the Luxury DLC.

I like the furniture additions, the larger TV's and other stuff added makes it allot more interesting but its nothing that can't be solved by mods but you will only be buying this DLC for the extra houses anyways. Overall the luxury DLC adds some pretty cool new baths, showers, sinks, pools etc. The home theatre stuff is really cool, the projector, screen, bigger TV better electronics choices are very good and it would have been hard to incorporate them into the base Game because of the amount of room required to place these objects (Minus the new 80" TV).

I encountered a big bug in the Luxury DLC in the Tony job, I was half way done then saved my progress and exited out. When I came back the directions tab was bugged, I had to remove walls previously but it would not show which walls I had to remove and the job lists wouldn't show up so I just completed the job without full completion. On the 2nd last job I found a few weird bugs like doors not lining up and the job is asking me to install a door where I have already installed 2x doors.. It would be physically impossible to install a door so I just placed the door in the middle of the room and completed the room job. FPS dips are pretty bad, I got a dip down to 40fps which paused it for like 2 seconds. That's pretty terrible considering that this sim's graphics aren't overly good to begin with.

The question is, is this DLC really worth $21.50AUD? Well yes and no, no because the FPS dips and pauses are super annoying and the bug outs like doors not lining up properly and Game save issues and having to just complete jobs because it bugged out really makes me not want to recommend this DLC. Yes, because the new stuff added is really really cool and the room sizes are much bigger now also the houses they added are really really good.

House Flipper and the DLC's really make me want Steam to add a middle ground to reviews because I had a blast with it but there are allot of bugs that make me want to give it a thumbs down. I will give it a thumbs up but just be aware this DLC is far from perfect and you should expect issues.

The best DLC out of all the house flipper DLCs!

I was a bit skeptic at first because this was the last DLC that I bought among all the other DLCs and this turned out to be the best one yet! (I bought it before Pets DLC, and Pets DLC is really good as well!) The houses are really special and not the same as the other DLCs!

Only downside is that the choosing thing from the inspiration is so useless because the clients don't even rate it so you can just choose the materials without even considering the client's feedback :c Other than that, this DLC is pretty good!!
