This pack is awesome! A very, very good deal. The 42 Chest Pack comes with 5 guaranteed shiny gear, which is very useful for getting your champions to full shiny. A bit sad that the gem buff only lasts for one weak, but it's great for gem farming!
It is unnecessary to progress, but it may give a slight boost and it is especially welcome during a sale !
