Abomination may be the best tank in the game. Amazing class! Counter attacks are also quite useful.

The other class likes alot of movement, and is less appealing the more I use it..

I could care less about skins.. I hate microtransaction type dlc, and wouldnt have bought it if not for buying the bundle

I can't use this DLC even though I purchased it along with the basic game. How do I make it work? It says 0 MB and I can't download any content. It simply switches to my PC folder and shows the bonus content strategy guide instead.

A well designed DLC that enhances the main game in meaningful ways. Wrath of the Necromancer gives the player a little bit of everything and every part of it is well done.
The first thing you will notice is that you can two new minions, the Abomination and the Reaper. Both minions have similiar roles but at opposite builds. The Abomination is a great complement for stress builds. After every action it takes it will deal a small amount of its stress damage to each enemy. It also comes with a variety of supporting abilities, like an ability that buffs your team and debuffs the enemy team, a weak damage ability with three attacks that can stun enemies if upgraded and a bodyguard ability that also counter attacks. Its best ability is however that it can eat enemies at low sanity levels, making it easier to kill enemies with stress damage that does not rely on the RNG heart attack mechanic.
The Reaper works similar as support unit but for phyiscal builds. He can deal both physical and magical damage and even a little bit of stress damage, he is quite mobile in his position but his ultimate ability is where he shines, he can execute enemies at low HP very easily and every time he kills an enemy he heals the entire team for a portion of their HP.

You also get a new gameplay mechanic in this DLC, potions. Potions can be created from three different body parts and they act as consumable item during battles. You can have up to six potions for a battle and they give buffs, debuffs, healing and other stuff. Better parts improve the effects from potions and they are a great way to make use of leftover parts. You have to experiment first to find out what parts create which potion but once you know a recipe, you will know it forever. I suggest looking up guides that have all the recipes to save time.

During your campaign you will now encounter alternative bosses on each floor. These bring in new mechanics and are in my opinion a bit harder than the bosses from the main game. They are all well designed and fairly balanced however.

The main attraction of the DLC is however the new final zone, the cemetary. This zone comes direct after the former final boss and adds new and very challenging enemies and a new final boss to the game. The zone is a massiuve difficulty spike compared to the rest of the game so only the best prepared necromancers will handle it. A common theme in this zone is that if you kill an enemy, all other enemies will get a permanent and undispelable buff, which makes it very important to decide which enemy to kill first.
And even if you can reach the new final boss, you will face a foe that will ask for your full attention because he is brutaly hard with many different attacks and reactive abilities that punish you whenever you do something without thinking.

I really love the extra challenge this DLC brings and I'm sure fans of Iratus will have fun with the new mechanics.

You also get a skin for each minion type you have if that's your kind of thing. This is in my opinion just the cherry on top to seal the deal because the extra challenges and those two minions are the best part of the DLC.

The new minions and changes are good but the addition of the new floor to the game is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Up till then you see an interesting and lore-friendly enemies, like bandits, dwarves, mercenaries, and paladins. On the new floor you see Healers (druid-looking), greek soldiers, vikings (looking suspiciously EXACTLY like Eivor from AC Valhalla), Statue of Liberty (yes, its that friggin stupid), and other ridiculous enemies with extremely strong abilities that just make the last floor such a terrible addition that I had to disable after a few battles of gameplay.
Potions are a terrible addition too, as they use resources that are already required (and often in short supply) to create new monsters, upgrade their stats, and heal your units or restore mana, making it absolutely worthless and just stupid to me.
Wish I could refund this garbage DLC, but I cant, because Ive already played a lot of the base game, which is actually awesome.

A good addition to the main game.

This dlc comes with the much needed variety to keep the game fresh. You get new enemies, new bosses instead of always the same one per floor, a new location, a new final boss + ending, new equipment, potion brewing, and 2 new, good minions. They've already earned their spots in my main squads.

I still prefer Iratus over Dankest Dungeon and this new DD + card games trend, so getting more content is always great.

Great addition to the base game!

A great addition to already great game!

Especially to complete the game on very hard 1 this weekend and finally free Iratus today.
And very painfull too: lost my team that was with me from the first floor to the Heroes - had to reequip my second team to deal with the final party. But it was even more satifying to defeat them after changing the strategy.

The most worthwhile part is the final floor that puts an end to the arc. Without this DLC there was a slight frustration after the fifth boss, and the sixth floor present an interesting final to the story.

Interesting potions mechanics, and from the base game finally less random in upgrading body parts (was very frustrating to spend like 200 body parts to get a set of epic parts for 1 group). And new monsters are interesting, too. The Reaper's ultimate was very pleasant to watch in the final fight.

All in all, great DLC worth buying if you liked the base game.

I had to come back in here and change my review, was enjoying the changes until the new boss on level two. Super mario and luigi in mechs, completely unbalanced two turns into the fight I had two dead on gaw difficulty nothing fun about that. Game breaking.

This DLC launched with serious balance issues and still even after the patch continues to have questionable balance. However They did hotfix the game less than a day after launch and although in my opinion it still has balance concerns I hold out hope it will improve. I changed my review to a thumbs up because in all honesty Iratus is the best game of its type, yes including the games its often compared to. It may not be to be my personal tastes in terms of balance at the moment but it would be unfair to hold a grudge when they are at least trying. That said the added bosses in the DLC are overtuned verse the original bosses they replace. This creates random spikes of difficulty that new players may not feel is fair. The additions such as the two classes and potions are wonderful however and each minion has received a skin. The pre patch added some great features like parts upgrading. Wrath of the necromancer is a flawed experience but the base game is wonderful.

Its a pretty solid DLC and the new enemies/minions spice up the game a lot, both of the new minions are especially fun to use. The Reaper is probably one of the best minions I think I've used so far; working really well with stress teams serving as a finisher of sorts.

The new bosses can be a little busted though and will require gigabrain to beat, aside from that its a nice addition to the game. I am fairly confident that some of the quirky bugs and poorly balanced features will eventually be worked out soon.

This new Dlc is a welcome addition to the base game.
Enjoying the 2 new minions and the skins.
I hope more expansions come out for this game.

The potion creation seems very tacked on and doesn't mesh well with the rest of the game systems.

Aside from that, this is exactly the kind of DLC that Iratus needed - a bit more of everything.

+ A couple more minions, a few more enemies, a few more bosses, a few more items, one more floor.

Both of the new minions are very versatile and can fit on either damage or stress comps, being able to play multiple roles depending on how you build them.

As a player who follow every patches and beta and beaten the game of GAW, the difficulty of standard, I give it a positive call.

It still need time to make the balance between new and old stuff together.
Yes, the power creeping is a seriously bad issue for now. But I believe the dev team could cover this by times.

Spoil alert below.

1.
The old minions need tweaks, new guys waaaaay too good and muti-task adapting many team match up while the oldest minion like a old man in the mud who cant even move his leg.

Also, OPEN UP ALL the stats progress to ALL minions.
We all can see how good the Reapers could be
(Abominations are decent but cant do the boss fight well, at less very situational)

In the run of beating this DLC. One of the thing keep bothering me that minions reach its max stats in their needed and forced to put it stats into meaningless stats.
(I dun need evade of 25 while enemy ALL HAVE AIM OF 140+, it still 100% hit me bro.)

Seriously, do me a favor.

Old minions fall out of the meta for a long time already
(Banshee for example, -8 attack for one ACTION. it rendering usless since enemy start muti-action while abomination -8 attack for one TURN.)

Like zombies suck up 4 turn and cant one shot a enemy...

Can you make the zombie be something?
If all it can do is to load the powder and cannon,
make it loud.

Like One Shot kill anything.(boss for % as per loaded.)

It got really bad attack progressing as a "pure damage dealer".

2.
Potion VS Enemy muti action per turns

Yes, this is the main theme of the DLC. but there are 2 problem:

it cost parts and we lack of it in early-middle stage of the game. I understand the resource managing is one the hardcore. To balance it, potion got really powerful effect.

And in order to catch up the gap, the 6th floor enemy all like mad men who you can just call them CHEATING.
Like the 4 elite monk can tooooooo easy to dish out 200+ damage without a good way to prevent.
That's a dead call to your elite squad.
(Their dead cleansing any buff and potion, dealing with them like burning resource for no good.)

Another problem is the parts price ir-reasonable for other usage since potion way too good.
The crafting system and part upgrading RnG system is out of picture.
Because even the normal part can create very powerful effect.
(well, High level potion is really bad for its cost, that's only for the boss fight.)

Since I could upgrade minions part by digger's souls. I dun have reason to put good part in minions,
All way to the potion.

Yes, the last bosses in GAW, I killed them in turned two starts...... by 4 potions.
(Cursed Flame Potion deal 1-6% and boss are 4 share one HP pool...so...that's 24% HP for each and I throw 4 of it. Game end as all my minion are staring the hero killed by the potion. Oh, I let a Headhunter to do the mercy for them.)

Potion a day, enemy away.

You can easily make something like 100% damage resist or something insane damage output one shot the boss.
To be honest. Even my 4 potion didnt finish him, I can use my headhunter dealing 10000+ damage to whom only got 4000 HP.(Yes, I saw the Endless Rise 2 they got 12000 HP. But that's nothing to me. Give me one hour, I can make a headhunter to do any damage you ask.)

The power creeping is a inevitable problem by this game mechanism.

In floor 6 = the party of one shot.
you or enemy.
So I would not blame this.
The dev team could somehow make this less impacting but fundationally can not deal with it.

Well, a cheer to the team, that's for sure.
But the works are not done yet.

I changed the main game review and this as positive review mostly due to your effort.
There are many details needed to adjust.
Keep it up.

To start off, the two new minions don't feel like major game-changers. The few new enemies and bosses that appear across every floor are a welcome addition.

But the enemies on the 5th floor have so many OP abilities and passives that their passives might as well be "ignore whatever stats you might have", which I thought was kinda lame.

I would refund, but since it takes over 2 hours to even get to the new floor, I can't.

A sizable addition to a fantastic game. I’ll be just reviewing the DLC, you should know by now if you like the core game or not. This DLC introduces two viable minions, Abomination and Reaper. No complaints here, they fit nicely into plenty of team rosters. I used both of them throughout my run on Good Always Wins difficulty. Revamped bosses on every level besides the fifth level boss (not sure why they decided to only that one the same.) New bosses have interesting mechanics, you will need new tactics to take them down. New humans to kill too (mostly knights and ogres that take up two slots). And a whole knew sixth level with a new final boss that all fit nicely in terms of difficulty and originality. My biggest complaint is the potion system. They’re too expensive to really utilize and too weak to make much of a difference (-5 attack for two rounds, +5% vigor for one minion???) I would have preferred they polished and updated some of the other systems already in the game, like body part upgrades or artifacts or trinkets for the minions. All in all plenty of new content, DLC is worth the price, but if you can get it on a sale, all the better.

This is one of those rare DLCs that improve a game so much as to be a near required purchase.

While I didn't find a ton of use for the abomination on my first playthrough, I had an absolute blast with the Reaper. More skins are always great. The potion system is great, on the whole (not a fan of the experimentation mechanic, though.) Large enemies were interesting, and the new bosses both fun and challenging. The 6th floor was a very welcome addition, offering a host of new enemies which all provided their own unique twist to cull your forces. Finally, the new end boss was... well, I won't even go into that, other than to say I'm excited to see how I handle it the next playthrough on a completely different strategy.

Ok,

So finished the game on "Good Always wins" with This DLC which I had been waiting for - previously I had finished the base game (spoilers ahead) Generally my composition was 2 teams - 1 Stress team and 1 Vigor team.
My vigor Team was from left to right Lost Soul, Blood Phantasm, Ghoul, Skeleton. The Ghoul and Blood Phantasm dealing the damage mainly via wrath and straight up ghoul damage. My Stress Team was Lost Soul, Wraith, Abomination*, Skeleton.

First the 2 new units
Reaper is more or less a Vigor Damage type that heals everyone on kill - it did not feel like it was better then Ghouls/Vampires/Bone Golems however.
Abomination is a amazing unit - they are great for dealing stress damage and they have a single target ultimate that more often then not will outright kill a stressed unit - they bring great utility with a AOE Buff+debuff and can self buff their damage with a stacking effecti - if that were not all; they passively deal AOE Stress damage. Fun fact if you give them a Crow Claw - they can AOE Debuff enemies and buff allies and NOT trigger "on attack" stances - and it ignores wards.

Now - the "last level" was a big letdown. It is a uninspired grid map; every unit is a generic unit "Hoplite" - "Healer" - "Viking" which seem sort of out of place (I think the logic is that they are all ancient heroes or something) every enemy has a "when dies gives all living buff X" which is pretty much the same thing as the floor prior "when ally dies get buff X" and the art felt like a let down. Even the bosses at the end were super generic using the same concept ...and were all just golden ghosts. I still recommend the expansion for more play time and more so for the extra unit types that were VERY well done.

The7ofDiamonds
The7ofDiamonds

100% absolutely worth the money if you already love the base game. The variety added with new enemies and an entire additional floor and the new minions just adds so much extra mmmph to the game. The skins I had to edit my review to say, are beautiful, I love almost every single one.

I actually feel like the new minions might be TOO good, but not game breakingly so. But damn did I love using them. There's certain ways in games like this that just feel more satisfying than others to get the killing blow, and that's one of my favorite parts about using the new minions. Buckle in when you get to the last floor. It is no cakewalk, you're going to have to bring your A game and be ready to lose if you're not prepared.

They're not simple re-colors, they are genuinely pretty different looking. This is also handy if you have multiples of one minion that you built differently, and you want to be able to tell them apart quickly.

I haven't taken the time to write anything for the main game, but figured I'd make sure people know about this.

A very nice DLC to an already great game that adds a bit of everything to the main game. This is what it includes:

- 2 new minions: Reaper and Abomination. They're both pretty versatile, though fit in certain team comps better than in others. In short, Reaper is good for vigor-damage teams and can dish out lots of damage and buffs Iratus' spellpower, while Abomination is better for stress-damage teams and also for being a tank and a debuffer.

- New dungeon floor that comes up straight after beating the 5 floors of the main game. This one's theme is cemetery where heroes from various cultures and of various specialities have been brought to life to try and stop Iratus. Each one has special features that drastically affect the battle strategy. This dungeon floor also has its own boss fight at the end.

- New enemies and bosses in the old floors. Each of the old floors gets one new enemy which spans two spaces rather than one and is generally stronger than other enemies. Each of the old floors also gets one extra boss, so now when doing a playthrough, you have a random chance of one of two bosses at the end of each floor (an old boss or a new boss). Some of the new bosses were a bit out of balance at release, but devs have patched this up already.

- Potion-crafting system. We can use body parts and flasks that drop in battles to craft potions for us to use in battles. Some of these buff or heal allies, while others debuff or damage enemies. The potency of the potion depends on how rare the body parts that we used were.

- An extra new skin for each of the existing minions from the main game.

A highly recommended DLC to anyone who already enjoys the main game as it adds something to every aspect of the game and makes it better than before.

Major Pros:

    • Two new minions
    • An additional floor of gameplay

Minor Pros:

    • New potion mechanic
    • New double sized enemies on each floor
    • Additional minion skins for all minions

Major Cons:

    • Final floor enemies lack some depth and flavor

Minor Cons:

    • Moderate impact potions are hard to make

Recommendation

I enjoyed the additions of the Iratus: Wrath of the Necromancer DLC. I enjoyed playing with party combinations with the new minions, discovering all the potions, having new enemies and bosses, and having a whole new floor of gameplay. However, potions seemed fairly minimal impact unless high tier parts were invested and the final floor and boss lacked some depth and flavor. I recommend the Iratus: Wrath of the Necromancer DLC for players excited for new minions, extended gameplay, and more combat interactions using potions.

Just completed it and have to say, it's very underwhelming.

I do not think the value and additional gameplay is worth the money.

You get very little, uncreative extra. The new level and mobs feel very run of the mill, with no interesting game mechanics to discover.

I beat the game with a Dread Combo (Mummy, Banshee, the new monstrosity thing and a dark knight). Felt tedious and unexciting.

I'm also rather disappointed to see some of the bosses gone (the Geralt Clone in particular). the new bosses are not interesting at all - especially the final fight is a joke.

I really like the original game but this DLC is a disappointment.

This DLC is almost essential to the experience, as the 'true' ending is locked behind it. Considering the amount of content included, it's well worth the money if you've already been enjoying the main-game.

Drop
Drop

A must-have (in a good way) if you like playing this game. A lot of great quality content for a good price. Worthy DLC.

Everything in it is more-or-less good and does not feel out of place at all. Does not feel cheap or tacked on lazily. Both of the new monsters are well designed and are great to use and experiment with. The skins overall are fantastic, in particular, I really like the Dhampir skin! Vampire one is the only one that is questionable--personally, of course, these are only skins.

I was suspicious about the potions, but these are well implemented and not game-breaking or lazy in any way. Small little buffs and changes here and there should you desire to spend some of your resources for consumables which you can use during battle. The extra floor, bosses, and enemies bring a lot of life and diversity into each run as they bring rather unique ideas and approaches to enemies. These are not simply reskins or boring enemies.

Recommended for sure if you like to keep playing this game. Brings a handful of good content to numerous areas of the game.

Apart from the final area, it doesn't bring much. The two new units and the addition of big enemies and new bosses are a nice little bonus, but the final area is what makes this dlc.
