The add-on adds a lot of new content to the main game and is simply a great buy for its money. By installing it, you have the opportunity to play on five new maps, fight two new enemies (which are quite hard to defeat) and try out new traps.
Terrible dlc. Their idea of difficulty is throwing overwhelming numbers of enemies at you. I'm talking specifically about The Great Gorge (map 5) nightmare difficulty. It's almost impossible to 5 skull without cheating due to the overwhelming number of enemies that they throw at you. Don't buy this unless you're a masochist or you don't care about 5 skulling everything.
you own orcs must die? this is the "map pack" you have been waiting for
pretty weak dlc and definately not worth the price. only 5 maps and one of them is a map supplied with the origional game just in reverse........ id wait till this dlc is priced @ about .50c.
These maps are infuriating. I would suggest skipping this and just replaying the campaign on Nightmare or something if you want a challenge. Every map is seemingly non-stop walls of orcs and FUCKING KOBOLDS coming from 2-5 directions with little room for traps.
FIVE. NEW. LEVELS. - 'Nuff said, eh? :D
Not only do you get 5 new levels, but you get a whole bunch of cool stuff, new upgrades, enemies, skull rewards etc. It says it on the 'About'. :D It's really worth it!
Fast and Furious game play. I liked trying to set the traps in just the right place for maximum orc kills. The game play increases by throwing more enemies at you the longer you survive. The voice acting is pretty humorous, too.
If you enjoyed the original Orcs Must Die! levels I recommend picking up this DLC as it adds five levels that have interesting and challenging setups. More enemey types is a good thing, although you don't really see very much of the Cyclops Mage. Being able to earn additional skulls makes it possible to fully upgrade every trap, which is a nice thing to have more power. Although I never personally found a good use for the Mana Well, I'm sure if you're ceeative enuogh you could find some good spots for it.
Five fun and challenging levels that should've been released as a free update rather than paid DLC.
A whole bunch of stuff with this one. If you didn't/don't feel the price of the Artifacts of Power DLC was a fair one, well banish all such thoughts for this. With a plethora of additions, this is as close to a must-have as you're going to get. So here are some pros and cons.
PROS
-5 new levels (really enjoyed them on both warmage and nightmare)
-2 new enemies with unique (for the most part) mechanics
-Leaderboards (for all you competitive people out there)
-Expanded skull rewards (this will come in handy for sure, letting you diversify your arsenal)
-New trap (Mana Well)
CONS
-The new enemies will probably annoy you at first, whether its the Frost Bat's freezing breath or the the cyclop mage's frickin' mageseeking orb (odds are this will always be annoying, but hey, just another reason for you to kill it).
-I didn't personally use the new trap myself, so I'm inclined to put it down here. That being said, I've seen others use it effectively, so take from that what you will.
And that's all, I would highly recommend purchasing this DLC. It really is worth its price tag.
Adds five more levels, a new trap, and a few new enemies. Included in the game of the year edition of the base game. Worth the purchase if you enjoy the Orcs Must Die! series.
What is Orcs Must Die! - Lost Adventures?
A downloadable content (DLC) for the game Orcs Must Die!, a Tower Defense-Action game by Robot Entertainment.
Did you like it?
Yes, I did.
Why should I buy it?
The DLC contains 5 new well-designed maps, with each one requiring it's own special tactic. There also are two new enemy types.
Are there any flaws?
Unfortunatly, one of the two new enemy types is only a reskin. There aren't any other flaws I've noticed.
The mana well isn't really a trap. It's more of a structure that restores your mana and has a charging time. I don't particularly use it much. The DLC isn't bad; probably just a little too expensive. Waiting for a sale is better. Also, you're not missing out on much if you don't get this. I would suggest getting it only if you're a really big fan of the OMD title.
DLC verdict: Get it OR Get it on sale
Comment:
Designed for people who need an extra challenge after beating the main campaign. This comes in the form of a new campaign with five extra levels. It also adds the new Mana Well trap (that replenishes mana) and two new enemies - Frostbat and Cyclops Mage. The bat fits well in the game and can freeze players (or guardians). The Cyclops Mage has some funky targeting and isn't as good of an addition. You can get Lost Adventures for full price as it adds some extra hours of gameplay. But nobody will fault you for waiting for a sale (especially when considering that Xbox 360 had the Artifacts of Power DLC included in this DLC).

Coop force maps
So unbalanced
Included in the Goty edition of the game.
For the price its a great addition to the game.
I love to use the mana-well as kind a support tower. It forces you to stay closer to a certain area but gives the opportunity for great weapon dmg output.
But damn that frostbat is anoying as sh*t....
Lost Adventures is the DLC you have been looking for if you want to squeeze a bit of extra game play from your Orcs Must Die experience. It adds new enemies with unique, and honestly, quite frustrating mechanics for a bit of extra challenge. A new trap that encourages and enables a much more spell based game play style, and perhaps most importantly, it adds five additionally levels for you to perfect.
All in all the Lost Adventures is a good few hours of extra game play that you can enjoy even if you have already completed the main campaign. A good buy at a surprisingly reasonable price.
5 extra levels and new enemies. Worth it.
Orcs Must Die is a fun game, but the DLC Lost Adventures doesn't add anything more than the Mana well (didn't use it...). So that's a waste of your money.
New levels are included in this and that's great.
I always like DLC's with extra playtime content.
There's five new challenging levels, that's nice.
You will also get a brand new trap, It is useful.
And overall, this DLC has a simply good value.
Even at the default price, it is totally worth it.
But during a discount? That's a steal for sure.
I really enjoyed playing through this content.
This was a truly well made DLC if you ask me.
And I just have to give it the positive review.
If you like the base game, you will love this!
New levels, enemies, traps and gear, INCLUDING UPGRADES! More of everything that makes this game excellent. Highly recommended.
This dlc is really fun, expect the last level on nightmare that sucks ass
