Claire's part is a bit better than Episode 1, but Barry's part still the best, by far. Plus, the story is actually getting pretty good.

ARCANE RAISE - CURATOR PAGE

Gameplay - 8/10:
Better than EP1 which was essentially the tutorial, because it has more features. Survival Horror feeling is better than Revelations 1. EP2 also expands Raid Mode and unlocks the ability to upgrade workbench to Level 2.

Story - 7.5/10:
Definitely better than what you expect from a budget title, more intriguing than EP1 but nothing special.

Audio (Sound & Music) - 8.5/10:
Soundtrack is essentially a remix of RE6 but it's still decent.

Visuals - 7/10:
Nothing special, looks good.

Verdict - 8/10 (Good):
If you liked EP1, you're gonna love EP2.

This episode is really good introduces 2 new enemys which are both annoying and challenging but dont worry not too annoying Great episode i reccomend it 100%

The Grotesque Abomination
The Grotesque …

I highly recommend this game as a whole, so I definitely recommend this episode.
The Dev's really brought their A-Game.
It has definitely satisfied my urge to play a more survival-based experience such as RE or the first Revelations.

The second episode had a great boss fight for each campaign and a cliffhanger that made me stay in my seat to immediately play the next chapter.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 Episode 2: 9,5/10

- VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Review of Episode 2:
While the first one, was really just a teaser, this one changes things up a bit... both, the Claire and Barry parts get more interesting, with interesting enemy types and great level design. Also, while in Ep.1 Barry played more like a shooter, here we are truly and always down to just one more round, one more bullet and survival is tough, therefore the welcome addition of stealth, which can instant-kill enemies normally able to swallow a buttload of bullets.
One downside is again the attack of the frame drop. After so many patches, it still is frustrating, especially on the boss fights, but with nerves of steel it is manageable... But this REALLY requires ANOTHER performance patch. I am truly having doubts at this point if going forward with episode 3 makes sense at this point.
Another great pro... the ending... so cheesy... so cliche... perfectly right for a Resident Evil game :D

I don't know if the developers took notice of The Last of Us, because they do a good job on capturing the stealth elements on that game and applied it into the Barry section of episode 2. You can do stealth kill the enimies or just ambush them, with the traits of Resident Evil series, and is satisfying; The Claire section which comes first, and it really change the pase of the game, it gave me the same fear feeling when I first played Resident Evil 4, the unexpected situations that throw on you played a huge part in this episode, and the player need to react quick. Now one specific flaw I have with Claire's section is that Saloon part (Spoiler alert) Which when Pedro turn Berserk and you know you don't have enough ammunition to fight him needs to escape, and the windows in the saloon are mostly open after the previous battle, the windows are so big that any common sense person would think you can flip out and escape but you can't, you have to wait other enimies to break through the damn door in order to get out. So there are some parts of the game just doesn't go with your common sense that the players need to be aware of.

Like in the previous episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2, we get to play duos of characters.
Claire and Barry are both skilled with firearms while their partners, Moira and Natalia, have to find items and explore the areas.
In this episode, Capcom offers a great atmosphere and new interesting bits of information about the story. Furthermore, the weapons and the new enemies keep everything fun while maintaining the survival horror aspects. However, the enemies’ AI can be dumb at times (With horrible pathfinding...). That’s quite surprising since your partner’s AI is good.
This episode also adds new elements to the RAID Mode. If Capcom keeps up the good work, this might become one of the best optional modes in the franchise’s history.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 episode 2 is great. Hopefully Capcom won’t let us down with the remaining parts of the game.

This episode changed up the formula. Half of Claires story felt like Resident Evil 4, and thats always a good sign. Barry's story was great with the stealth system, and left us on a cliffhanger that I cannot wait to see what happens next with. The only gripe that I had about this episode was the awful, awwwful lip-syncing. For a game like this, that's extremley inexcusable, but it doesn't ruin the overall experience in any way. If you liked the last episode, you'll LOVE this one. Go ahead and buy it.

this episode was ok. it introduced a few new characters , learned more about the bracelets , and got a snippet of character developement from each of the playable characters that will hopefully be built upon in the next episode. it does enough to make me want to play the next episode.

Taking place shortly after episodes 1 conclusion we once again find the two groups continuing their respective quests. If you thought episode 1 was a bit of a walk in the park then episode 2 cranks up the need for ammo conservation, the terror gets cranked up a bit and introduces the ability to stealth kill your foes. This episode also introduces new enemy types for the two stories that are being told. You'll also find a new gun or two along the way. Item management remains key here especially at times in which there are lots of items and little room or your in a tough spot and need healing. So keep that in mind. All in all a solid episode.

Z4N1EST

You need this episode and the rest of the episodes to complete the full game, which overall isn't worth the money.

This is only the second episode of the game, so I didn't expect much plot to go down. Claire/Moira and Barry/Natalia tread almost the same paths in this one just with different enemies.
A funny thing that I learned was that during the Claire scenario you're told by the characters to run away from a certain huge foe. I didn't, and stayed and killed it. Turns out that I ended up killing the episode Boss for the Barry scenario. So I was confused why the final section was an absolute breeze. Oops.
I'm really starting to feel the tight inventory management. Moira is my tank and both characters just melee everything. And I'm stealthing with Barry or immediately shooting enemy weakpoints. So I'm just overloaded on ammo. And like I said before, Barry didn't have a boss to drop a hefty amount of bullets on.
Partner AI seems pretty good. Moira and Natalia will immediately give the Player a Green Herb or Disinfectant when your health is in the Danger state or blinded by enemy fluids. I'm not sure why Tourniquets are needed though? I've never had a character in Bleeding (again probably due to me meleeing everything asap). So that's also taking up some space in inventory.

Overall a good episode, can't wait to download the next one!

Resident Evil Revelations 2 Episode Two: Contemplation Review
Our problems are much bigger than we first imagined!

Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Base game

Some key points that this game add on has to offer:

1. New areas
2. New Weapons
3. New Raid mode stages

Replayability:

This content shares the same replay value as the base game and Episode 1, it is the continuation of the campaign. Completing it also unlocks its raid mode stages.

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:

Episode 2 shows you just how bad the situation is, and given how the first one ended, it paints a picture that things didn’t go or ended too well for our heroes.

The new Episode is packed full of horror and new goodies to find. There are treasures, pouch upgrades, and some new weapons waiting for you. We met up with some old work colleges of Claire’s whilst a glimmer of hope presented itself to us.
Barry does not have much to go on, but he presses forward to find his missing daughter! The episode played brilliantly and was worth the wait, albeit the wait shouldn’t have been there, to begin with.

I'd say this is the worst episode of the whole bunch. Claire's chapter is kind of cool with the village section, but it's cut short before it can really breath. Barry's chapter is awful and it feels like worthless padding. You just fight those annoying fucking regenerator wannabes and retread Claire's footsteps.

It's still decent though, I wouldn't skip it or anything

I mean you need to buy this in order to continue through the game so obviously if you liked the first episode then buy this one…A lot more eventful and longer than the previous and imo my least favorite in regards to certain level design and enemies. But if you want to finish the game, buy it. Or Don’t I’m not you.

+Continues the game
+Longer and way more action than the previous
+New weapons
+Mini-boss fights
+New enemies
+New locations
+Can kill or skip the Pedro boss fight

-Locked in this stupid bar for so long in Claire’s half of the episode only to end up being brought back to the bar and staying in there even longer.
-So many insta-kill enemies ughhhhhhhhhh
-The main monsters from Barry’s Episode half always love to notice you when you’re sneaking up to stealth kill them. Happens a lot in this episode as it encourages you to stealth kill.

A lot better episode than the past except for the stupid town you’re locked in being attacked by endless enemies and especially that stupid bar. Then the enemies in barrys episode suck. Aside from that nice episode, much to buy. maybe.

I was pretty tense in the forest section. I really liked this part. :)

I prefer this one over the first, although it still had some frustrating parts, but nothing that cannot be solved.

This one felt certainly longer than the previous episode.
