Strolling across dazzling fields and through soft rolling hills, this part of Iberia is a romantic setting for any reserve. It is no wonder that warden & custodian Alejandra considers her soul entwined to the very land itself, this hunting ground of kings.

You are basically playing this map with 3 less animals since the ibex boil down to the same animal with a different hair cut.

What is your problem? I have no such problem in Med and Yukon.
I have high end PC so don't bullshit me.

Anyone else, Don't buy this crap of a dlc until they fix this shit.
Also same for Te Arowa.

Always good to have extra hunting ground.

Great reserve for getting cash especially paired with any 4-8 class rifle as pretty much all the species fall in between 4-6. Meaning you only really need the one rifle and everything you shoot gives a decent amount back. The terrain is also great for farming cash with plenty of open fields and mountain ranges.

If you can put aside the fact that 4 or so of the species are similar looking goats and sheep you’ll be fine. The Red Deer, Roe Deer, Wolves and Boar still add the variety as much as any other reserve.

Per usual, doesn't work for many people on release, and causes the game to be unplayable. For me, it's no world textures and a wall of grey at every reserve I load. It also changed all my graphics to low and my audio options to off for whatever that's worth. No amount of reasonable troubleshooting has had any impact on it functioning. For those that it does "work" for, the reserve appears to have an abundance of issues in itself. This is the second one in a row for me that has been game breaking at release. And all this just a few weeks after having my save state corrupted like many others. I'm beginning to wonder if the astronomical price of the original should have been a warning sign that revenue from continual content was of more importance than anything else, like functionality. It's one thing for your new release to have its issues, but to continually release broken products that will have to be patched over and over is just poor professionalism. Looks like I'll be finding something else to do until Path of Exile comes back up Friday.

Don't buy until they fix the bugs.

This is the most broken game I have ever seen on new DLC release. Which is surprising considering the game is 2 years old now.

The update made the whole game unplayable for me due to bugged out sound and graphics. I had previously run the game fine.

Its got a lot of problems, true. But it also is unique, the animals in it are interesting and its a paradise to hunt with rifles, since there r plenty of open fields. If you cant stand bugs, wait before they patch to buy.

Maybe red deer being the biggest animal in this reserve might be a turn down to some ppl, I myself enjoy hunting moose, elk and brown bears, I thought it was an issue at first, but then I ended up enjoying this DLC.

Meh.

This DLC leaves me with mixed feelings, as do most of the last reserves. On one hand it is hard to argue that one does get a fair bit of content for the price of a fastfood meal. On the other hand, I would rather pay the money for an nimal pack to bring a breeze of fresh air into the other reserves.

Fine we do have 4 species of goats now who look pretty much the same. Why not bring a Mountain goat to Alaska, Dall Sheep to Layton, Muflon to Hirschfelden ?

It is a nice looking reserve, but it lacks diversity in biomes and as for the Ibex I was hyped for a Val de Bois remake in Alpine territory which this one is -unfortunately- not. Its a mix between Parque Fernando and Hirschfelden and suffers from a longtime Hunter Problem: Great Viewpoints for 600m around, no animal to be found, continue walking simulation. Its tiresome. Does not bring anything really new to the table and personally a flocked together herd of goat reskins is not that interesting. I would have preferred something Alpine, Australia, SE Asian Jungle, Lousiana Swamps or whatever over this rather bland recycling.

After watching the first showing on Livestream i wasn't to impressed with the map but now i have played it for a bit im finding it very enjoyable. Not the best looking map by any means but it has plenty of animals and some big heards you can come across and its pretty open so its fun for those that love long range rifle shooting but doesnt look the best for short ranged stuff with bows etc considering how open it is and lack of callers for the Ibex and sheep. Run across a few bugs most notable flying goats and AI pathing issues from time to time but hopefully it will get patched and fixed soon

After having spent so many hours in this game, I still enjoy spending time in this lush environment. Cuatro Colinas is a continuation in the series of DLCs with new maps and apart from flying goats and collisions with invisible objects this reserve is fairly bug (*) free and runs quite smoothly. The main quest line is fairly short, but the side missions will keep you busy and challenged for a while. The wolves are still more aggressive than they should be and a lone wolf will sneak up on you if you are not paying attention and bite you in the posterior. :) The missions requiring to take pictures of wolves are therefor particularly messy, as you will have to fight them off or die trying. I had to chuckle at what has become an insider joke when the voice actors make you believe a couple times in the main quest that you will encounter NPCs when we all know by now that there aren't any humans in the game. Everything happens off camera, but it's still funny. lol

Anyway, while the game does recycle some of the assets, it's still a nice place to be and hunt. Recommended.

(*) Speaking of bugs. The character options still haven't been fixed. I wasted another 10k credits trying to switch from the default Nordic female to the Latin female (we are in Spain after all) and all I got was a torso riding the quad. This issue should have been addressed a long time ago but apparently this has gone unnoticed for months. I hope a future patch will fix this as well.

Imho this is the worst DLC. No gold scored rabbits (not gun nor bow or arch). There is much more rabbits in Africa than in Spain. I can not finish quest and unlock rifle. No any birds to hunt. No foxes. No any decoy (nor smell nor any other) for muflons and ibex. Decoy for iberian wolf does it work? Don't think so. It could be much, much, much better. It's a shame.

i would love to recomend this one, but i spent so many hours on this DLC and its impossible to find DIAMOND hare, u simply cant do it, also still have many bugs, so later maybe yes, but for now its a HUGE NO! from me. hope the game will get update and all will be perfect :)

Reserve itself isn't too bad. I'm not really a fan of the 6.5, it doesn't seem to have the knockdown power. Only thing that I find odd is the number of roe deer and boars. They're everywhere!! The wolves here travel alone as far as I can tell. There's only 4 different species of goats lol. Ok edit...I now see most wolves running in packs. I also think I'm going to be responsible for their extinction :/

i am happy with this reserve. it's beauty is in the landscape. which is diverse and interesting. with mountains and bush, and some water with many hotspots.

but the animals are fun too. although all the goat and sheeps basically behave the same.

only cons are bugs that came with the release but will be fixed soon. please do proper testing next time..

i've been enjoying hunting from blinds a lot though. the map has excelent locations for that. which is nice!
the story is fun too. although.. trained animals.. it feels a bit sci-fi. won't spoil too much, you'll see.

Worth the price of 5 bucks. Great scenery with challenging but not frustrating to navigate terrain, some of the maps feel ungodly boring to walk, this one is easier to take. Good animal variation, from a trophy hunter perspective. I haven't experienced issues mentioned by others but this is post the most recent patch. I turn off in game music so can't comment there.

I don't have Parque Fernando so can't compare. As to the game itself, you do hit the odd animal desert but that's very much like real hunting, in that you never know what you have spooked that may be near by, this also occurs in every map I've played in the game. I haven't figured out if animals are dynamically generated or not, but it's varied enough that if you just let it be an experience vs a game to "beat" it keeps you engaged.

Cuatro Colinas makes the game great for me.

Awesome and varied geography and color palette.

1.As a beginner, there are clear sight lines that allow for easy identification and tracking of animals. This allows a high quantity of kills and thus allows me to level up my hunter to unlock some of the cool perks and skills.

2. It seems to run far better than the other maps I've tried. I can set scene complexity to Ultra and still get 80-90 fps on an RX570. Layton Lake gets 50-70 fps with the same setting.

The quests, animal density, vistas, and setting all make this the best reserve out of the 5 I've tried.

I love this game. I've loved all the DLC's but I'm not sure what happened with this one. The further to the east you go it seems like they didnt even finish the map. Road isnt made properly. Grass and rocks coming up through the road. Super buggy and its very disapointing. I really hope they fix this issue and finish the map before releasing it.

EDIT:
Issues regarding this map seem to have been resolved, so I'm changing to a thumbs up. This is a beautiful map with some interesting missions/story. Just remember, if you like hunting bigger game, this is not a map for you. This map is basically a small game map (rabbits, hogs, roe deer, and a lot of goats and sheep). There are wolves and red deer, but that's as big as the game gets on this map. So if you're into hunting with .22LR, .223, handguns, air rifles, and bows, this is a great map. The vistas are breath-takingly beautiful, and I would love to live in one of the villas (outposts) IRL.

For history, below this line is my old review which the issues are now resolved, but were a thing:
*******************************

First off, I would have given this a thumbs up, but after exploring the map, not one, but TWO mysterious "land bridges" are floating in the sky. It's not even subtle; one of them snakes over a river in the Eastern middle of the map near a major bridge. This thing looks like a giant snaky turd floating in the sky, and touches down in a lavender field right by the bridge. To top it off, the roads in this region are paved, but have grass and trees growing out of them. Not like an abandoned road, oh no-no-no, this is some janky-a** sh*t, like Q&A took a vacation, and the devs were like, "f*** it; ship this hot mess anyway." Then there are other roads that exist on the map, but not in game, and instead are a weird brown floating smeared texture hovering above the grass.

This map was beautiful until I reached the Eastern side, and now I want to vomit. The immersion-breaking nature of this is beyond the floating rocks and bushes we all saw on the Russian map. This is like that time bears were T-posing. The developers need to get their act together; I will not be buying any more DLC for this game until they get their ducks in a row.

nova
nova

Please fix the bugs in this map. Floating "islands", you can't shoot through bridge arches, road textures hovering above the ground, bushes and trees pushing through roads and structures, etc. The more you go to the south and east, the worse it gets.

lichi
lichi

The southern half of the map shows horrendous neglect in how it is build. There's a DBZ snake path floating in mid air for hundreds of meters, a many miles long road floats on top of grass and creates various glitchy views, depending on where you stand in relation to it. Quite a lot of sloppy tree placement that clips right through castles. It's a shame.

MadKingCraig

Loving the reserve aesthetic and wildlife, but very glaring map issues... I'd recommend this if they fixed them. Floating land... bugged roads...

Wabbit.
Wabbit.

Unfinished reserve! Terrain elements in mid-air, roads under map, grass on roads, textures on roads, bushes on roads, stands on roads, and many many other elements on roads! Clearly not finished!

Update: Community manager wrote "its not worth fixing beacuse they have more important things to fix". If so why do you want money for this DLC? We PAID for it and its NOT WORTH to release a complete, terrain errors free, reserve?! Think about it for a second...

The game as a whole is great and addictive, but not this map! Whatever the Developers are working on, if it isn't finishing this map then they need to stop and get this fixed ASAP! Completely unfinished product! They shouldn't even be selling it in this state. Makes me nervous about any future maps they come out with if something like this can make it through quality control.

Bulldog1986
Bulldog1986

So much potential, so poorly executed. I have loved this game with every hour I play, but this is my last reserve I've tried, and while all the others have thoroughly impressed, this one feels like it is a beta map. All the roads are horrendous and you can even see overlays floating on top of them, the paths are strewn with rocks and boulders which make ATV a painful way of traveling to unlock camps and towers, and the more you travel the map, while the animals are fun to hunt, there is no way to call them, no attractants, no lures, so you're having to active hunt instead of passive hunt. Wait to buy this map, they have a lot of work to do on it yet, buy the others, but this one needs to be sent back to whichever dev did the road mapping to undergo an overhaul.

I played it more than 100 hours now and its for me Top 3 in terms of looks and hunting.
If you ppl vote negative because the new scoring.... its stupid, the new scoring has made this game better than ever!

If because of the visual Bugs.... ppl this bugs are only in one small area.... 90% of the Map us 100% bug free.

BUGS GALORE roads lead into trees and hover 2 feet above the ground looking insubstantial and out of place there is a chunk of ground leading away into the distance like snake way from DBZ this expansion was obviously never even tested with the amount of bugs in the Graphix, i love the hunter for the immersion but the glitches in this expansion totally ruins the experience. wait till or IF they fix it there is no mention on their website about fixing it or even the problem so avoid it at all costs.. also the animals you hunt have all been done before nothing new in this expansion

I should have listened to the reviews. Now i can't refund it

Pros:

- The Ibex and Goats are very nice models with very interesting horn variety

Cons:

- Sudden FPS drops. To the point my entire game is sluggish, my character can't move, menus cannot open
- Map is not bug tested. My character got trapped in the ground and died
- Rocks reflect light and 'flicker' and shine distractedly
- Floating grass and terrain
- giant seam in map in the middle of a road leading to a outpost that flipped my ATV and nearly killed me

It's like a prettier, but slower paced Parque Fernando. There are no buffalo, and the wolves seemed rare and peaceful compared to Yukon (where I was repeatedly attacked and would alter my loadout when in wolf country).

It was a relaxing and enjoyable map to hunt, but I'd suggest other map DLCs first (Vurhonga) which are more unique.

Humpenstilzchen
Humpenstilzchen

Very beautiful map with lots of animals to hunt.

It also has many hunting outposts, so you can quicktravel to every spot if you like to, which is nice to have.

The only bummer are the missions that require you to harvest a diamond animal like a diamond hare for one mission, which is basically impossible. I have shot so many hares and pretty much all of them are lvl1 but you need lvl 3 for diamond.
This mission is extraordinary frustrating and can´t even be considered a challenge, it´s rather a punishment by the devs and no fun at all. I will certainly not spend the next 200 hours searching for a diamond hare..

The same applies to another mission that requires you to find a diamond animal to complete, so again a full showstop, because finding a diamond is like winnign in the lottery, it´s incredibly rare almost impossible. I have no clue what the devs are thinking but it is no wonder that most people don´t do missions..honestly..such crazy requirements kill all the fun..

Other than that I love the map.

As always great dlc i have never had a issue with any bugs but that is just me. With the steam sale at the moment its less than a pint to buy but even with out the sale i think i paid £5 for the dlc when it came out and was still worth it then as are all the dlc's in this title having bought most of them.

I literally only got this expansion because of the 6.5mm Martensson Rayo. it was a super pain in the ass especially with the grand slam and finding a diamond because i dont have streamer loot/luck and now i have an amazing rifle thats rated for classes 4-8 and is the closest to my IRL 6.5 Creedmoor. I purchased during the summer sale and have been enjoying other reserves with this amazing weapon and variant.

the story was pretty decent as all of them are and ALOT of wolves. pack a shotgun and enjoy the reserve

story 4/5

Put MANY hours into this map to grind out the Rayo skin for the 6.5mm and had a lot of fun doing it. (expect for the picture missions...) The challenges were fun, the map is beautiful, and the four different ibex species all have great models and cool horn variation. Also when the wolves attack you its pretty intense but an awesome fight when there's a lot of them.

I'd give the story a 7/10 but this map is all about that sweet Rayo skin!

I would return this map if I could. I barely ever find anything on it. Big map of nothingness. looks ok, but lot of vegetation that is hard to get through. Really boring map and one I do not think I will return to very often. Would like to shoot something within 1 hour but you wont on this desolate wasteland. The newer Sliver Peaks is way better than this.

tbone6931
tbone6931

Animal population density is low. Huge open spaces with no animals. They seem to be concentrated in certain areas. If you like to walk around and hunt, this is not for you. You'll either need the quad to get around and scare all of the animals off or you'll have to walk around for a long time to find something to shoot. This is my least favorite hunting reserve. I would not have bought it if I had known how few animals are on it.

mcallister96
mcallister96

This reserve had very mixed reviews when I bought it. I read about the numerous bugs and still took a chance on it. I wanted the 6.5 rifle and to complete the Spanish grand slam. It is in most ways like the other reserves. It is a beautiful map with some unique scenery, such as fields of sunflowers, and rows of olive trees. I haven't had any issues with the map at all as far as bugs or crashes. It is also one of the best maps in terms of getting around. It has a good road system and numerous, well spaced outposts for fast travel. Getting where you want to go is pretty easy, but off-road with the ATV is harder than it should be because rocks are EVERYWHERE. The only real negative I have with the map, and the reason I cannot recommend this DLC, is how hard it is to find and harvest animals. The crops and orchards are all higher than the animals are tall. Even if animals were present, you can't see anything in them. The open fields are so full of rocks that spotting game is made more difficult there as well. The wooded areas are the best, but still sparsely populated. Missions are hard to complete because I can't harvest what I can't find. I have had the best luck with Roe deer. They aren't plentiful like in the German reserve, but they are not that hard to find. I have also taken a few Red deer and boar. I have yet to see or even find sign of a wolf. Not a track or scat, or even a call. I have two missions for them I can't complete. As for the goats, to me the most appealing animals for this DLC, I have seen only one variety, one time. I like the map, but unless they populate it, it's not fun to play.

Edit: I've changed this to a recommend. The map is IMO still not as populated as say, Layton Lake, but it's much better than before. I've spent the past week playing this reserve, just to revisit it, and I'm glad I did. This is a fun reserve now. Roe deer are still the most common, but red deer and wild boar seem more numerous. The goats are much easier to find, and I'm one away from completing the grand slam. They are still kind of hard to find, but I've even been able to take a few wolves that were nowhere to be seen before. Having completed the main quest line, it seems a little short compared to other reserves, but there are numerous side missions. Still haven't had any issues with bugs or crashes. Now if they would just remove all of these rocks...

EotT
EotT

Interesting area. You can go everywhere with the quad, park by the road and walk to your preferred area to hunt. Good amount of cabins dispersed all around the map. The reserve has a different flair which I like.

I have found no bugs. If there is any, it hasn't affected me in a noticeable way.

Self Slaughter
Self Slaughter

I think this might be one of the most under-rated reserve DLC in CotW. The graphics are stunning, the colors are very bright, beautiful flower fields etc.

The reserve is very well populated (second only to SRP imo) with very cool animals. The goats look amazing. If you like small game hunting and shotguns, this reserve is great. There are tons of European hare need zones to fill up the map.
The missions are very fun and challenging (but doable). You also can unlock a 6.5mm rifle by doing missions for Don Miguel. There are some amazing red deer in CC, and its a nice reserve for bow hunting from hunting stands.

Fitz Biznis
Fitz Biznis

"spice it up" is a bad quest. it's a poorly thought out mission that stops an otherwise good story in its tracks. and purchased content is locked behind this quest. i can see what the intent was, but unfortunately the games mechanics don't really support these objectives, at least not while preserving your experience. see the mission is to harvest three rabbits at night with a gold score or better, now when i first saw this quest i was aware that others had been complaining about it but i was actually kind of pumped for it. here's the breakdown; the animals that spawn in the map during any given game are the same animals that spawned when you loaded the game they don't ever refresh or develop into better specimens so no matter how good your shot (like say just inside 50M to the heart with a 22.) you may still end up with a specimen that was only a silver to begin with (like say a 4.9 when the gold score is 5.) so you can in fact spend hours of effort for absolutely nothing. And just for the record the chick that gives you the voiced quests in this one is waaaay too fugly to be comparing me to some Baden family scum bag. get the game just don't get this DLC, now if you'll excuse me about about to go abuse myself with this bad quest so my OCD doesn't melt me from the feet up.

For those who don't bother with the story: this map feels very similar to Parque Fernando, so if you have that and are looking for something new, I would give this one a pass.

I don't know, I picked this map up but all I can think of when I play this is "I want to go back to Silver Ridge Peaks". The animals on this one feels sparse but I didn't play it for long. Not many larger game, it's mostly medium stuff like deer and goats so you could get somewhere with the starter gear if you like this setting and already have/dont want SRP.

I wish Steam had a 'mixed' rating because that's how I feel - this is a 'middle/bottom of the pack' map compared to the rest. It certainly does look pretty though. Maybe I'll go back to it at some point. For now though, I'll rate this up since there's more that I like vs dislike.

Karmataurus

A solid map but a bit lacking in content, it is however the best map for hunting on Europe. You get ibex, mouflon, and wolves as major huntables with wild boar and red deer making an appearance as well. This map has a unique mechanic where the sheep and goats can scale sheer cliffs which is simply awesome to see and makes hunting them really fun.

There are a few downsides; the seemingly large animal roster is filled with four nearly identical ibex species; one with very tall horns, one with fat horns, and two largely interchangeable ibex with small horns. The idea is that you are supposed to aim for one of each, a 'grand slam', but there is little incentive to hunt either of the smaller, less impressive types, especially since you spawn right next to the area for the most impressive ones.

The wolves are a nice addition as an aggressive predator that most reserves really need, but they aren't much different than the grey wolves from the yukon. The map is also very samey, with little variety outside of mountains and corn fields.

If you like hunting goats or sheep, want a better map to hunt boar on, or simply want more content for a game you already enjoy, go for it. If you are just starting out however, this is definitely one to save for later.

Except other game developers like Acid Wizard released Darkwood through torrents for free to allow people to play their game before buying it, so it's something other game devs do to help those who don't have money at the time a game is released.

I've attempted to write a message to the developer's moderation staff, contact the support staff on the Cotw website, and contact Steam Support but unless the Moderation Staff themselves decide to un-ban me then I'm out of luck.

I don't normally post on the forums but getting a community ban also means you cannot upload screenshots for that game ever again. Very frustrating for a game about hunting animals where you want to show off your Diamond trophies or rare kills or Lodge.

Maybe one day if the ban is ever lifted I'll give this game a glowing review but for now I'm not a fan. I haven't played the game or bought any DLC since this ban went in place, so they may have just lost another lifelong customer for Avalanche Studio's games.

I've played COW for 334 hours and it's a great game. Except this DLC. There are simply no animals. Walking and walking again without spotting an animal. Just outrageous how it differs from the other reserves. Don't buy it!!!

Worst dlc ever, just a massive copy/paste of plants...is so bad that animals decided to leave the map.

The best map imo. It's huge, there are different "regions", wolves WILL hunt you, and I love tracking Ibexes. Also the story is good if you like missions.

This is probably tied with Yukon Valley as my favorite DLC. Many reviewers who played Parque Fernando first said that this one is "too similar" because it is "also Spanish". Spain and Patagonia are 7000 miles apart, people. They're in not the same thing, or even very similar, beyond the Spanish accents of the reserve owners and guides.

These reviews are kinda like saying that a future Scottish Highlands DLC would be "too similar" to the Silver Ridge Peaks (Colorado) DLC because they're both "English" speaking settings. Language has nothing to do with landscapes or fauna!

Anyways, people who played Parque Fernando ("positive" reviews overall) first said Cuatro Colinas ("mixed" reviews) was too similar, but having played Cuatro Colinas first I actually like it better if you had to compare one "Spanish language zone" to the other. I suspect that the ratings would be reversed if they had been released in the reverse order.

I'm fairly sad to see that the Carolinas epileptic rock shining still hasn't been fixed, this was meant to be and issue they were working on when the map first came out.
This was an issue you were meant to be fixing years ago, very disappointing to come back and see it's still exactly the same, for myself it makes the whole dlc unplayable and gives me migraines/physically hurts my eyes, it should come with an epileptic warning and I'm not being sarcastic.

Really neat map concept and fun to hunt, but two of the Spanish ibex, the Gredos and the Southeastern, look minuscule compared to the real life ibex.

Great map. I really like that it has some actual, realistic looking signs of human life, other than roads and tiny fields without road access.
You have to wander into the hills and valleys to find find bigger animals, but if you do, man is there a lot to see. Plenty of interesting animals to shoot in sometimes really challenging terrain.
Wolves hunting you if you aren't careful are a great addition.

I also really enjoyed the story line that even manages to have sort of a final boss.
And also, what should be a given but seems to not be with the recent releases, the side missions are a lot of fun.

This map is horribly populated. You can spend HOURS walking around this map and see NOTHING except maybe the occasional roe deer or hear a thumping rabbit. Visually it is nice but good luck finding an animal to shoot.

ONCE AGAIN... I find myself doing other stuff besides hunting in the missions... Boring missions...Boring animals...Boring area to hunt...BUY ON SALE ONLY!

Cuatro Colinas is an excellent DLC.

The reserve itself is beautiful. The animals are enjoyable to hunt and the variety is decent, although lower level (deer are the largest animals on the map). There is a long storyline with an abundance of side missions for extra cash and a challenge. One of the coolest features added is the stalking mode for wolf packs. It is definitely a riveting experience when a pack of wolves chooses to hunt you.

My two gripes are that the missions include a significant number of photography missions and some incredibly challenging bow hunter missions. However, neither are in the core campaign, so you can leave a couple side missions permanently open if this isn't your cup of tea.

i got this for like a dollar and it adds a whole bunch of new animals, a new gun, and a massive new map to explore. I typically expect about 1 hour of playtime per dollar spent, and despite literally just starting this reserve today ive already gotten more than that. Haven't seen any floating roads yet, but frankly, again, i spent a literal dollar on this. Like. i dont care if some roads fly.

*This is a copy pasted review for every DLC map released for theHunter, as I am on my way to help (yeah I know) raising the average rating of them all.*

This DLC is great! If you love theHunter and did not find much to protest about in the original game, and you love the atmosphere and overall feeling of this slick, beautiful, mesmerizing game, buy this DLC now! Yes there might be some differences between every DLC, but I don't care: the work put into each of them, the effort to build atmosphere, fauna and flora, level/path building, climate and lighting, and above all: amazingly narrative missions with voice over, overall the amount of quality (for the price) (on sale) is just too heavy in the balance compared to all the little flaws you can find here and there. Personally, I do not care about the politics (don't play narrative works of fiction if you are sensitive), nor about bugs (game works flawlessly 95% of the time with 75 FPS), nor about the maps (they are BEAUTIFUL and ALL different). I just want more reasons to spend my virtual walks enjoying the atmosphere and the hunting, and for this these DLCs exactly bring that on. Thank you Expansive Worlds, you did a unique and tremendous work, the world of gaming is better with you guys!

I like this map. It really gives you the feeling of the warm Iberian environment and atmosphere. In the first hour I shot about 5 wild boar and a few Roe deer. I also had to protect myself two times so far from a wolf attack. A handgun does come in handy here and always have it loaded to the brim.

Final update (April 2022)
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!
Even when it's on sale, why?
Developers do NOT listen, they add useless updates that just wastes space and cater to the Console version. They DO NOT FIX BUGS, MAJOR GAME BREAKING BUGS.

DLC keeps getting priority over bugs that are FIVE YEARS OLD STILL!
Now they have added an INTERNAL DLC STORE that is 18Gigs, which provides ZERO benefit for Steam Customers, PROVING where their interests are content over quality.

If you decide to ignore this and BUY the game, you will 90% have a chance of crashing after you waited HOURS for your massive download. YES you download DLC that you do NOT OWN to inflate your game folder. The devs do NOT care.

Look at the REPLY from the devs below from 2 years ago. They said "several of those bugs should be addressed now" IT'S A LIE! Almost ALL of those BUGS are still there and haven't been fixed in FIVE YEARS!

Dev below: " i might not fully agree to your statement about DLC since the team working on bugs not necessarily work on expansions and vice verca."

THAT IS BULLSHAAIT! If that was true, BIG fixes would have come down WITH DLC, but all that is being released is MORE DLC and ZERO BUG FIXES!

AGAIN, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME !!!

Update from March 2022
More bugs, more "what is a QA team?"
Now the map has NO POI at all, I can't fast travel or see ANY need zones
The graphics performance have dropped significantly and the FSR implementation is so bad.
Most software companies have a QA team and don't use their paying customers as testers
POI icons option FOR BOTH MAP AND WORLD... how STUPID is this setting. Never in the life of gaming have I seen such a stupid ignorance towards gamers.
You turn POI OFF, then it's off both on MAP and WORLD. And the POI Icons are SO DAMN MASSIVE that it can take up all the HUD and completely ruin the experience. HOW did this get past ANY FORMS of testing. I have NEVER in my LIFE seen such stupidity before.
If this isn't proof of GREED over quality, I don't know WHAT is...

Below is my original review, which I would have removed, but I still don't recommend this game and my opinion stands. DLC is of higher priority than bugs and other issues. The map issues have been removed, which is a better experience. But wow is there still a lot of issues present. One complete game breaker is how the audio completely falls over itself. I just hear my own footsteps and anything in like a 5 meter radius from me. I have to restart the game to fix it. Animals can still teleport vast distances, now to even more impossible locations. I'm sad that I have to now just uninstall it and not bother to try again, Avalanche got my money, I guess that matters more... at least people can get it on sale now and not lose too much if they are willing to take a chance on this game. ah well 🤷‍♂️

I was an early bird to this game, and bought it in the first week.
Played it for many hours as you can see, but there was so many bugs from the beginning and the game was costly at the time.

After nearly 3 years now, this game still has the same bugs:
-Opening the map is slow as hell. How can they STILL not fix this?!?!
-The map loads POI's, Needzones, etc slower than Google Maps on an smoke signal network...
-The Map NEVER remembers the last position it was closed at.
-Map mission zones needs "movement" to display (zoom or move map).
-Maps on Multiplayer take nearly 3 seconds to open....WTF>?!?
-Animals still teleport vast distances or through mountains.
-Animals still do the Moonwalk against a tree non-stop
-Animal transitions are still janky as hell and has never been smooth
-Binoculars opened and then fast travelling STILL keeps the binocular HUD on screen.

There is so many more bugs, and they JUST DON'T get fixed...
I buy every DLC, and hope the added patch would fix issues, but Expansive worlds are pretending now that they are like EA, and don't give a 💩, and rather push out content, instead of squashing bugs.

I felt especially frustrated now, because they add more and more bugs with their features, which costs me Diamonds and this game already cost so much in patience.

The developers just ignore the playerbase and continues pushing out features, and ignores fixes.

I'm done, I recommend NOT buying this game, even patient people will get impatient with this mess now...

Just a fast travel is enough to crash the game on this map.

Most people would disagree, but I prefer this over Yukon. It's got 3 nice mission fur types for wolves, the main missions are much better imo, the 6.5mm only weighs 3 units so it's very good if you need to bring a light weapon--and the Rayo variant looks really good, and it's a much nicer map to hunt Red Deer, Roe Deer, and Wild Boar than Hirschfelden, as well as having the Red Deer Great One; the goats also have some pretty mega horns. The biggest downside is that there are relatively few callable animals

the landdscape, is really boring, it can be beautiful all the places, for example the trees are really boring, there is lots of flat terain, casa alfonso is a really beautiful house, but most of the time i didnt have fun there, it looks good, but it is boring as...
