My first complex locomotive for TS, and it still doesn't dissapoint. A fun little addon, that I highly recommend for steamers with a British taste.

First impressions of the 56xx are very good, I haven't given a real proper driving test yet, but so far all seems well on the Riviera/WSR routes. It's modelling and textures are excellent. The sound set is good. My only grump here while it comes with a nice array of GWR wagons which run nearly silent, It's a pity because the engine sounds good.

It's on sale today, well worth the buy...

Very lovely engine. Greatly detailed, lovely sounds, great accessory wagons, easy to drive. All in all, a very good loco for my Train Simulator

Fantastic loco, but the GWR 56XX has a bug. Above 15 mph use of keyboard controls for train vacuum brake (that is ; and ') is not possible. They work fine only below 15mph. Above 15 mph one need to use the brake control lever in 3D loco cabin as the only means to use the brake. I suspect a bug - the vacuum pump provided just enough vaccum to maintain 25 psi of vacuum in brake line is recognized by the code same as brake ejector being not fully closed. But still one can use the brake control lever in 3D loco cabin with speed above 15mph, while keys ; and ' don't work. Please fix the bug. Thank you!

This loco is not practical to use and outdated.
Not because of the advanced mode, but because with the defaults views, you can NOT see the track ahead.
Moreover The firebox is not showing your fire mass.
I wish Victory Works update it!
Buy rather the GWR Large Prairies, it is a much better made loco. You can even drive it without no HUD because all the indications are visual (fire mass, smoke color, water left in the tank, and has a neat cab light)

To be honest, I only bought this for the rolling stock. However, I find the engine is still good to use.

A pleasure to drive but it's very easy to "blow" the cylinders if you're not careful...!

I picked it up on sale, and I think it is well worth the purchase. I'm not even a large fan of English steam, but this one is quite the joy to operate!
