The biggest lie I keep telling myself is that I'll come back to this game to collect some more achievements. If you like mario party and you like anime the game is pretty good, but the community is toxic and I get bored way to easily to keep playing on my own. Maybe someday.

Very fun game and you can mess a lot with your friends and with random players that stumble upon your lobby. Would be even more fun if you actually bought DLC(s) of character you actually find enjoyable and cute. 10/10 will recommend due to how cheap the game is and how easily people can get a hang of it.

This is the first time I've written a negative review of a videogame on Steam. I bought this game because I love board games and digital deck builders like Slay the Spire, also this game appears to be fairly well received. All the signs looked good and I was certain I would like this game but I'm honestly baffled at how well received this game is. I'm convinced this game is only fairing well with reviews because of the anime theme, I'm well aware that there is a large audience of snooty anime lovers that are biased towards loving anything anime related even if the content is poor.

The worst aspect of this game is the gameplay. Winning the game feels like it requires 90% luck and 10% skill, progressing and getting revived literally relies on the roll of a dice which requires no skill. The winners almost feel predetermined before you even play the game. Sure, there are cards that mitigate risk and better your odds, but it still feels like skill gets overpowered by poor or good luck. I feel like we're passed the age of board games that rely on luck as a mechanic for the last 2 - 3 decades. It almost feels more like an passive activity instead of an interactive activity because of how little interaction or decisions you really need to make. You can choose which paths to take on the board but the maps are so small and teleporting spaces are littered throughout the map, so pursuing or avoiding other players or even specific spaces can feel futile because of poor luck, even if you think you're making the right decision that would be in your favor.

Also, the system narrator is incredibly obnoxious. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they designed this game and thought the system / gameplay narrator wasn't annoying. She spams the same lines over and over again, usually when a line is spammed with dialogue or sound effects in videogames, they will add variants of the line to prevent it from being annoying. It's like playing an older videogame where if you jump or attack and your character spams the same voice emote everytime, which makes doing that action painful. The system narrator can push out lines that overlap itself so the narrator will be saying multiple things at the same time, they even added an option in the options menu to prevent this from happening. It's like they knew the system narrator was obnoxious and had problems and left that option in, but for some reason left the annoying setting on as the default behavior. What were they thinking? I turned the system narrator off after about 40 minutes of gameplay. I just couldn't take it anymore.

The UX / UI of the game is also incredibly unintuitive. I'm pretty experienced with heavy weighted boardgames but learning how to play this game through 43 images and text from the main menu was honestly painful. They need to make the tutorial interactive that walks you through the game. A manual of how to play should only be something that's in boardgames nowadays because it's not an interactive digital experience, a tutorial like that is inexcusable in a videogame in this day and age. Honestly though, reading the tutorial was just a waste of time anyway because a literal brain dead monkey that could use a mouse and keyboard could probably beat the world champion of this game because of how much this game relies on luck as a mechanic.

Also, the general UI of this is incredibly backwards, for example the cards in your hand are displayed in small icons on the bottom center of the screen, and there are even smaller icons of the cards in your hand on the top left of the screen. You would think that hovering your mouse over the cards in the bottom center of the screen would magnify the cards so you can actually read what the card does, but instead you have to hover your mouse over the small icons on the top right of the screen. Small design choices like that really just set me off and it's honestly baffling.

The game was honestly painful from the very moment the game started. The story about this anime girl getting her pudding stolen just made me feel like I was regressing back through evolution in ways that didn't make any sense, like I wanted to become like an ostrich and bury my head in the sand in the wild so I wouldn't have had to go through the trials of living life in an intelligent civilization to have to experience something like this. The story was just not captivating or engaging at all. It would have been better to just cut the story cutscenes completely, or at least add an option to get rid of the cutscenes entirely.

The game is also trying to milk all the money out of you by distastefully promoting DLC packs for this game in the main menu. Sure, they devs need to make money, but holy crap there's 34 DLC packs available for this game. It costs more to buy all of the DLC packs than the base game itself. If they managed to convince you to give them all of your money spending it on DLC, they also have the nerve to promote a kickstarter for plushies of the characters in the game. Yes, these devs aren't making enough money from the game itself to fund making their own plushies. They need money from the blind consumers that will hail anything that is anime related as if it was handmade by god himself. With how well this game seems to be received, and with all of the DLC it's made, these devs must be making a pretty penny off of this game. You'd think they have enough money to fund making their own merchandise instead of milking their fans for even more money.

Bravo, this is honestly one of the worst games I've played in a very long time. I don't mean to be mean, but there's no way to make this constructive without being furious about design choices of this game. Make it less souless, stop pushing fans to buy more of your stuff in the main menu, and make better design choices like making the game more involved with skill instead of luck. I thought we were past the dark ages of boardgames that relied on luck as a mechanic like games such as Monopoly. This game gets two thumbs down on my end and I really hope this convinces someone out there not to buy this game.

If you enjoy actual good board games such as Pandemic or Gloomhaven, and enjoy digital card games like Slay the Spire or even Dicey Dungeons, you might hate this game like I do. If you love anime, and if you have wet dreams about luck oriented games such as Monopoly being themed around anime with what seems like endless expansion packs in development, then you will absolutely love this game.

I am a game developer myself so when I see predatory things like this in the videogame industry, and when I see design choices like this in a game, I take them very seriously and feel like I need to speak out.

I'm dead inside, I wrote a whole review...

Anyway . . . as for Cons; 100 OJ needs Full Controller Support, it already has really great visual UI design for Controller Input. So, this QoL alone would make this game playable anywhere in the House and on Steam Deck. It is very clunky to use a Joy Stick as a input for Mouse Movement.

Don't you want to play with your Wifu's anywhere?
I do . . .

A game some might say is the anime Mario Party. In the beginning of the game you have one out of two objectives to do. You either defeat an enemy or you collect 10 stars. After doing one of these you must go to a home base to turn in your goal or your norma, You have 5 in total to do and they increase the numbers of stars or wins you must get in order to get all your normas completed. There are many character selections to choose from. Base game wise you have a few good choices. In my opinion the best characters base game are Suguri, Tomomo and Marc. Each character has a hyper which is an ability card that is unique to that character. Some of these hypers can only be used in battles, used as trap cards (put it on a space and hope someone lands on it) or you can use it before you roll the dice to move. These rules apply to the rest of the cards in this game. DO KEEP IN MIND that cards come at a cost. Whether it be having to have done a specific amount of normas and having to use stars to use the card. Some cards are free but most aren't. A big tip I have for new players is always evade when you are one health or if the enemy rolls a 1. Pay attention to your characters stats. If you have a +1 evade you will always evade 1 rolls unless your stats are debunked in a battle. Same goes with defense, if the enemy rolls a 7 and you have +1 defense you will have a good chance of defending IF you have enough health. Say I have 2 health and my enemy rolls a 7. If I have +1 defense and +2 evade I have two options. I can try taking zero damage and evade or I can try rolling a 5 or 6 to take one damage. Keep in mind if you evade and roll the same number as attack then you will lose all your health along with most of your stars. If you roll a 4 and get a 5 from your +1 you will still die and lose all your health along with most of your stars. If I had one health the only option would be to evade. Defending means always taking one damage at least. I know this explanation probably has you confused but once you try this game out you will get the hang of it. Thank you for reading my review, take care and have an amazing day ya'll!!!!

You can install a mod that puts in Hotel Mario sounds. Mario constantly says NO when you lose stars, and Luigi says OVER THERE when an event happens. That's enough for me.

If you like mario party you will like this game. It has a board game style board with four players of you trying to get a norma (or accomplish a task) to raise your level and first person to get max level wins. You can also pick from 2 different tasks each level where you level up by getting enough wins and against monsters and other players or more by getting a certain number of stars. There are a few other modes but that's the normal mode and most common. There are not minigames every turn like in mario party its more board event and traps and even fighting other players that replace it. Every character has its own stats with a plus or minus to attack or defense ect and have unique ultimate abilities so its not just who you think looks the coolest. I highly recommend this game

I am a 50 year old father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my son, who is now 14. My son recently started scum and in less than a week, he had already played for over 20 hours. This was terrible for me, as it was already hard enough for me to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching videos on Tiktok. So i decided to make a Steam account and download this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, looked at the menu, but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought my son and I closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories. Thank you, 100% Orange Juice!

This review goes to a game named „100% Orange Juice“ from the household of Fruitbat Factory in central japan. Where you must walk in circles to get points to win, fighting mobs by throwing a dice at them, stealing and gifting cards to your opponents and mentally challenge your friends until they say that this game is too complex for their logic.
Graphics
First of you need a RTX 3000 series or lower to enjoy your view of these High end graphics this game provides you. The decision to choose an anime art style makes the game likeable, which help your eyes to calm down.

Gameplay

The gameplay is great and challenge every corner in your brain. You simply walk around circles on the map and collect either stars, you collect on yellow star places or wins over your hostile individuals by throwing dices at mobs, who are stationed on the map or on other friends, while they challenge you before you can even react to that, to level up your character.
The higher your level is, the more cards you can play which need an certain level and an endless amount of stars you collect on your journey in the match. I recommend you, that you survive at any time, because if you die you‘ll loose 50% of your stars and you don‘t want to pay for the insurance.

After every Match you‘re getting coins, which are needed to pay the items in the shop like new maps, card packs and more. And you get oranges and tickets which they are used to buy event costumes or collect a pet on one of the few pet catcher terminals in the arcade section in the shop.

Final Score

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it

After a few matches with my friends, i understand it‘s hidden purpose. The orange juices main goal there is to torture your mental stability or those of your friends, giving them social anxiety and turning your friendships into dust.
If you want to challenge your friends on a mental and pyschological level until you need a vaccuum cleaner for your friendship then your welcome to give it a try.
8/10 I recommend it. I like the game a lot.

Great Party game, can be a little overwhelming at first, their is quite the grind and a lot of Character DLC as well as some Games you have to buy to get other characters From the same company. DLC goes on sale Somewhat often if you want to save some $. Single Player can be enjoyable but better with Friends be it the Co-Op mode or the Default mode.

As for the Grind, their is quite a bit of it, be it story mode + extra chapter content, or getting enough stars and Oranges to unlock all the Characters, Cards and Cosmetics. On top of the Online level's which you get for playing Multiplayer win or loose you make progress, can be obtained via Co-Op or Default, with Friends in a full lobby as well, not many games give you EXP for Friend only games.

Overall would recommend.

The randomness and variety between games, cards, and fields etc are not game changing in terms of differences between them, but proved more than enough that you can have a good time with a simple but fun board game. One that cuts the chaft of the mini games mario party provides and makes it about the actual game happening on the board. It's random nature is what really adds the razzle dazzle and for the cheap price its definetly a fun game to have and play on calm nights/game nights. Plus the added bonus of free rotating dlc week to week, plus the constant events/updates, make it more inviting to people to try out what the game has to offer.

Personally, I had never heard of Orange Juice or any of their games before playing this, and despite that I could still feel the charm that came from this game. 100% Orange Juice is just a bit different than your average virtual board game and finds ways to differentiate itself from the rest in ways other than it's large cast of colorful characters. As with most other board games, if you choose to bug your friends into getting it be prepared to have a good time messing about. I think the game is worth the price no matter if it's on sale or full price.

The base gameplay relies too heavily on RNG dice rolls which could still be fun if the game didn't have so many items that you have to either grind for, trade for, or pay real money for. The game has a lot of DLC and in game economy items you have to pay for with real money or spend countless hours grinding for them which makes you either have to spend an unreasonable amount of time playing a game relying on RNG to win or spend hundreds of dollars to get all the items. This game should be free to play but it isn't so if you don't already play it then it's not worth your time.

Cutesy dice game which can get surprisingly hard, since I started out playing against 3 AIs. It can suck when you finally get to a good place in any given game and then suddenly end up losing all your stars/HP because you rolled a bad number. However, it's strangely addictive. Only minor complaint is the super high-pitched anime girl voices which don't agree too well with my ears, lol.

This is a fun anime styled board game that has alot of cute characters to choose from. Each of the characters you play with all have their own unique hyper card that adds a bit of flair to the style they're played with.

Over time seeing the game grow, all the events that are being made for it give it alot of replayability to come back to for the next one

Game mode wise, theres the free for all where you collect stars or win battles, whether its against a chicken, or, The Boss or another strange but cute looking creature in order to win the game. throughout the game you have access to cards that can be used in situations depending on its uses to create a more exciting atmosphere throughout the match, boost, gift, battle, traps, events to name some

Then theres co-op, in which all of the players and ai work together to defeat a boss, huge chickens, robots, etc, home panels are shared as you work your way to overcome the challenges in these fights. Be wary though, some of the boss fights have scary tricks up their sleeve

Bounty Hunt was a new mod added after a while, and overall takes a different approach to the type of game it is. it adds in rpg elements, items you can get from shops to enhance your character or disrupt others, quest objectives, which can be location/item finding and monster hunts, the objective is to reach 20 fame to show that you're not one to be trifled with amongst the characters in the world of orange juice

Overall, the game is enjoyable to play and always a fun one to come back to over time, its not as competitive either due to the rng system it uses which is why in the end, if you're looking for a game to have fun with and relax to, give this one a go ★

I highly recommend this game. It has so much thought and care put into it, and the theme songs for the characters are some of the best music I have listened to. That being said, I do feel that although the balancing is mostly good, it definitely has a few flaws. For example, characters that emphasize the evasion stat generally feel too weak and characters that emphasize attack feel too strong. Also, Maynie feels like an absurdly broken character that is way too strong with the way her hyper works. All in all though, this game is a wonderful board game experience and I love it.

The simplest way to describe this game is anime Mario Party. There are plenty of different boards & characters to choose from, and you can choose to play either online or offline. Yes, you can still play this if for whatever reason the owner of SpaceX, Elon Musk, gets bored and decides to destroy every satellite in existence. If you're looking for a skill based game, you're at the wrong place, this is chaos central! Basically, your fun is decided by how the game's feeling. Still interested? Well, you're still reading this, so I'll take that as a yes, or you're just bored. The goal is to either collect "stars" or "wins" to "Norma." Stars are treated as currency, which you find around the board, and wins can be obtained by ruining a friendsh- I mean, killing opponents on the board-- and/or cpu enemies, such as a damn SEAGULL who always seems to roll a 6, almost guaranteeing your demise! Get enough wins or stars, and you can level up! This is called "Norma." The first to Norma all the way (5 normas) gets to win. It's not completely RNG based don't worry, around the map you can find cards to assist you in getting what you want, such as "roll double dice" to sprint away from a certain cat character with +2 attack as her base stat. Yes, the characters do different things other than just looking cute--or menacing--depending on who you're staring at. Certain characters can fight better, others can defend better, some have more health, etc. It's not pay to win, due to balancing and luck, although many characters are DLC. They each get their own song when leveling up, and their own "hyper." The hyper is a card which is designed to be very strong, and it can do a variety of things such as allowing the player to become invincible for a turn, or allowing the player to steal stars from other players, and this should lead you closer to victory~! That is, if the dice obliges. The developers keep this game updated, and they unlock 2 free DLC characters, for all players to use with no restraints for a week. Every week. Once a week is up, the old characters are locked again, but new ones are allowed to be used. I-- uh, just hope they aren't kept in some secret prison when they go away. Buy this game. It's addicting, and fairly priced. Even without DLC, you can enjoy 100% of the suffering-- I mean fun. P.S. THE DICE DID NOT PAY ME TO WRITE THIS, I SWEAR.

Orange Juice is a strange masterpiece taking a board game like structure, adding a deck builder/ card system to act as items, and owning an extremely cutesy anime chibi style to form strategic yet chaotic fun. If you can get over the couple hurdles of understanding everything that goes on in a game and the game's hyper colorful look then it can become an instant favorite. Some notes I'll leave is that you will rarely ever need your keyboard while playing since the mouse does pretty much everything except talk in chat and search for the title of cards when building your 'deck'. To get more/ new cards you have to buy them one by one from a card pack. It is up to chance and there are rarities on cards. Thankfully 'Stars', the main currency in the game and what you use to buy cards, are very easy to obtain, especially when there are events. I recommend going through the singleplayer stuff to get characters and some easy Stars. Enjoy!

Overall I Would Recommend... However... I Have Got Some Issues With This Game...

Don't Get Me Wrong Its A Great Game... If You Like Mario Party It's Very Similar To That... It Has Easy Controls, Great Voice Acting And Decent Art Style... Pair That With Over 200 Achievements And Trading Cards Plus Bonuses Its A Great All Round Game...

However... I Question The AI In This Game... When I First Played The Game And The First Chapter... It Took 5 Attempts On Normal Difficulties... I Played Each Round As Best As I Could And The AI Just Got Better Rolls On Each Round...

I Know Alot Of You Will Say "Just Get Better At The Game"... But When You Roll Six Lots Of One In One Game, One After Another... The Odds Of That Are Astonomic...

Same Goes For The Battle Squeres... You Have No Way Of Seeing What You Will Roll... You Never See The Dice Roll You Just See Your Final Number... The Computer Will Always Win...

I Don't Know If I've Just Been Unlucky... Take What I Say With A Pinch Of Salt...

Overall Would Recommend 8/10

Anime Monopoly/ Mario Party.
OJ is a game that takes Fruitbat Factory/ Orange Juice properties and mashes them up in a blender to give you an insane tornado of cracked out anime girls featuring: A kelptomaniac hamster, several homicidal maniacs, a man obsessed with thighs, a depressed cougar, the same gray haired girl in 3 different flavors, and a bunny man that loves the free market.
OJ is a game that's I've played off and on for almost 10 years and have recently hit 1000 hours on so let me tell you what makes this game special.

The game is relatively simple at first, collect stars, land on home panels, maybe kill a few things along the way and have fun. It's something you and your mates can play for a few hours in the afternoon and have fun with even if everyone only has a basic understanding of how to play.
However, there's a surprising amount of depth under the hood. Deck building, character interactions, risk VS reward assessment, mind games, and opportunistic plays are all things you learn about the more you play.

The game (usually) rewards you for thinking on your feet and making smart use of the cards you get.
At the end of the day, the game is still RNG based and we're all at the mercy of the dice, but that's also part of the fun. Randomness keeps matches from getting stale, some days you'll be rolling 7s and 8s and blazing through everything, and other days you'll be on a 1 and 2 streak.
The large variety of characters, cards, and maps also keeps the game from getting old. No match is ever the same due to how many factors are in play at any given time.

Another one of the main draws is the cast. Each character brings something different to the table and it's easy to pick a favorite. If you like pure insanity in anime form then there's at least one character you'll immediately gravitate towards. You can also customize them with a large variety of cosmetics and mods. The only issue with this is that a large chunk of the playable cast is DLC (It's cheap but still.) You'll be shelling out a couple of bucks anytime you want to add a new face or two to your roster.

Speaking of prices though, the game itself is cheap, and goes on sale quite a lot. If you don't like it, you're not out by a lot.

While it's not what you'll be coming to the game for, there is a downside that I feel needs mentioning. The story mode of the game (while it can be funny) isn't the greatest. You'll be fighting A.I.s that play very erratic. They make questionable decisions and are hyper aggressive, which can be very frustrating on higher difficulties. Playing through it on casual mode will net you more base game characters, but if you want those fancy cosmetic items (most namely the crowns) you'll be suffering through the boosted A.I.
As a key:
Casual: AI has worse rolls overall. You get more characters but nothing more
Normal: AI has mostly untouched rolls. You'll get some fancier items from this such as a red crown anyone can wear.
Original: Normal mode but the AI is more prone to having altered rolls.
Extreme: AI will roll constant 5 and 6s but you'll unlock very rare items as well as anything from Normal or Casual difficulty.

The last point I feel that's worth mentioning is the community. The community, for the most part, is alive and really chill. Most people are more than happy to play a few games and shoot the shit with you while y'all play. Some people are even happy to show new people the ropes, myself included. In my experience it's really rare to meet someone that's an actual jerk.

(TL : DR)
Pros: Very Cheap
Tons of Replayabillity
Large variety of characters to choose from
Community is alive and welcoming
Lots of customization, especially after modding support got added to the game
Easy enough to learn.

Cons: DLC Problem, over half the cast is DLC
Some card packs are also DLC
Story mode can be a massive pain, especially on harder difficulties.

If you like being fucked over by the gods of rng with cute anime characters, this is the game for you.

In a bizarre way, the modern "witches-and-mecha gals"-style shoot 'em up games have the most in common with the fighting genre in that they're a celebration of characters. From the tidbits of dialogue you get right before the boss fight in the shmup, or fight before the match begins and the victory quote; once the match is over, you end up having enough to flesh out a whole personality.

Now this is where this game shines. At its core, it's a very streamlined "Mario Party" kind of game, replacing the minute+ long minigames with very brief dice-based combat sequences. So much of the charm of 100% Orange Juice is less about the strategy and playing the odds as it is the silly crap that goes on amongst all these very colorful characters and the crazy swings in the game that come about from the unlikely dice rolls. You don't even need to worry about playing any of the games these characters come from beforehand--it won't take long until you find a character or two you like and before you know it, you'll be seeking out the game they're from.
