Do you like castles? Do you like cats? Perhaps even point and click games?
Well, then you've stumbled upon the purrfect game.
I thoroughly enjoyed it myself, at least.

A Castle Full of Cats is a sequel of sorts to A Building Full of Cats, but with far more rooms and cats in it, with side "quests", secret areas, and various tools and tricks you can unlock if you're good at snooping around.
So brew yourself a nice warm cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa, enjoy the spooky soundtrack, and have some relaxing fun as you explore this castle and all its areas to find and save the cats.

The game is easily played to completion in a couple of hours, but even then. This game is GREAT! If you love puzzle games and those "find the difference between these two pictures" games, this is a very good fit for you. If you are looking for a game just like this one, go look at a building full of cats.
And, there are ACHIEVEMENTS!!!

This game is great, but for the duration spent you might want to wait for a sale.

I love these games, there's fun and interesting story as well as mini puzzles to complete adding to the content of the main game. The artwork and characters are well drawn and cute with fun anecdotes. 100% would recommend this game to both cat lovers or anyone who likes hidden object games.

I was eagerly waiting for this because I enjoyed A Building Full of Cats (and I think these devs are fab), but honestly this was even better than I expected. The new mechanic additions that relate areas to other areas with items to use elsewhere is great, there's more story, and even a boss fight! Great example of how to keep all the good things about a first game and then amp it up with extras for the "sequel".

Love, love, love. More please ^^

Wow, this game was TONS OF FUN!
Good length, fun graphics, cute story, easy to play... great for some casual point-and-clicking.
Also, references... references everywhere! ^^'
... And cats, of course, also lots of those. XD

The first game, A Building Full of Cats, made me enjoy hidden object games. I liked that one and love this one! A Castle Full of Cats has much more content than the first but they're equally cute and relaxing. I love the art! I hope we'll get to see more of these games! Highly recommended and also nominated for this year's "sit back and relax" award. :)

Also thumbs up for trading cards and (not too many) achievements, but most importantly spreading an important message about adopting cats and how wonderful cats are!

Great game, very relaxing. I love hidden object games, and I love cats, so this is the best of both worlds. I encountered a minor bug at the very end of the game but the devs responded very quickly to my discussion post. Would definitely recommend this game if you like hidden object games!

Don't let my time spent on this game fool you, I enjoyed every minute of it. It's such a cute, engaging game, with enough challenge to make you want to play, but not so much you rage quit from annoyance. I've got most of the games from Devcats, and this was the most enjoyable yet, and the game price is a for a good cause. I'd probably have paid more for it, if I could.

What a lovely game! Your classical searching game combines with some funny riddle elements and lots of cute interactions, if you can call them that. You can feel the love oozing out of every single brick and tree :)

My son said this is full of "evil cats", while the 'Building Full of Cats' game from the same devs; is full of good. So is their next game going to contain morally ambiguous ones? Good music, and upgrade from their previous work. Nice new features. Definitely worth full price

What sweet cats! I love this game, I love the art in the hidden cat scenes, and the art of the storyline cats. The story is so good, too. I love how the cats you find in the scenes change from being spooky cats into sweet cats when you find them! The unique rooms and secret tunnels make it so fun to find your way around the castle. My favorite sub-quest was finding the kittens! I want to hold Judy.

I personally loved this game. Not only does the money I spent on it go to a devteam of cats (and their humans I guess) AND to support shelters, but I get a game where I get to meet these cats and save smol spooky kittens. You better believe I did not leave a single cat behind. They may be hard to spot sometimes, and they may be hiding, but goddamn I'm gonna pet every last one of them no matter how long it takes me.

Also adorable artstyle and great soundtrack. 10/10

What a nice game-type. No stress, no hurry, my eyes scouting across the screen. The athmopshere and music made it soo cozy along with a cup of coffee. Purrfffect for the catloving gamer girls out there! ;) and sure, why not catloving boys too :D

Sweet and relaxing game where you have to find hidden cats in beautifully drawn sceneries. There are several sidequests to do as well, for the ones that like getting 100% achievements.

Fun facts, when you buy the game or even the other games from Devcats, the money also goes to rescued cats! So your money will never be wasted.

What a great second search and collect game this latest offering from Devcats is. Its a definite leap forward from the first offering "A BUILDING FULL OF CATS" which was excellent in its own right, but now there is so much to do. Apart from finding some of the smallest craftily hidden cats I have ever seen, there are a few side quests to be covered where you must recover keys, objet d'art, a lost litter of kittens and treats for a certain cat and a surprise endgame complete with a boss challenge. These quests and boss have set it aside from the run of the mill search and find, point and click games by miles. its on a par with Hidden Folks which is equally as engrossing in its game play.

I will not only be recommending this to anyone who enjoys this type of challenge but I will be nominating this for the Sit Back and Relax Steam Award as it thoroughly deserves that title.

Honestly, if you played "A Building Full of Cats" and enjoyed it, this is an upgrade it every way. The levels are bigger, theres an item mechanic, theres also a zoom too. It does a really good job of telling a small story too. Id say this is like a 9/10 game.

TLDR; If you like casual games and have 3 dollars just buy it

Took me almost 2 hours of playing to get all of the achievements and find all of the cats, and all of the castles secrets. Loved every minute. Casual game with a big heart and lots of fun. 8.5 / 10. The little secrets sprinkled throughout the castle were fun to find.

The sequel to A Building Full of Cats. A Castle Full of Cats keeps all the good parts of the first game (searching for kitties, cute and pretty art, relaxing music) and adds some very fun new elements (a storyline, secrets to discover, a map and more rooms to search than ever). Truly "new and improved"! And all that for less than the price of a coffee. Outstanding work from team Devcats.

It took me around a day to nearly complete the game (3 of all cats are still eluding me). There is one timed element that I could have done without, but other than that this game delivers pure, affordable and adorable hidden object, err, kitty fun. Highly recommend the game.

Loved 'A Building Full of Cats', so I had to give this one a try as well. Not much to say: it's adorable and even more fleshed out than the first one! Far more rooms, way more cats, a map and an inventory, for the game with its story - yes, there is a whole story now! - has a certain adventure-like touch to it this time.

If you enjoyed the first game, you will definitely have fun with this one also. So don't hesitate and go get it!

Quick time sink of a game you can play at any pace.
As long as you can recognize all sorts of cat shapes from a mile away, you have a good easy time with this game. Having a castle of your own wont factor in (or maybe it will, who knows)

AlphaShadowK

This game was absolutely wonderful. The storyline was fun the entire way through, the adorable kittens to find was a great addition, and I always felt there were more cats to find. Every room finished felt like a victory! Honestly, you wouldn't think there would be a "boss fight" in a game like this, but there is! I loved it so much. Even though once you 100% complete the game, it's still nice to go back to the lovely music and try to get a faster time at the ending fight. But all in all, this game was a wonderful addition to my library, and I feel amazing knowing that proceeds towards every game purchase goes towards helping cats in need.

TL;DR: There's a boss, super cool. Music: rad, ever-changing. Not much replayability, but still a wonderful game. 10/10.

I've played for all of 1.7 hours. Not even two full hours of play time. Beat the game, all achievements, Not much else to do, unless I want to play it again. Which... I may never do. However I really enjoyed the story behind the game, which while incredibly simple, it's certainly difficult at times to find all of the Cats (hidden objects etc). The story and setting, a strong parody of the Castlevania theme, was a delight to unravel. The ending was superb, and then to realize that everything that went into developing this game, goes to help homeless and neglected animals find homes, that's heartwarming.

I have since then recommended this little gem to various friends at work etc who I know love cats as much, if not more than I do.

This is a great hidden object game. I enjoyed the first one, A Building Full of Cats, but I think this one improved on the UI and game mechanics. It was relaxing yet challenging to travel from room to room searching for hidden kitties.
The final battle is a time trial in five rounds, and each round randomly generates 4 cats around the room to find within the time limit, so it can be a bit frustrating to search the entire screen in such a short time span. Still, the battle offers plenty of room for error, so as long as you can persevere, you will not have a difficult time beating it.
I loved the cat NPCs scattered throughout the map and enjoyed completing their quests, so I hope to see them again in the next game.
Overall, very well done, and extremely affordable. I've played hidden object games that cost way more, and this one is probably my favorite.

This game has no right to be this charming! The illustrations are simple yet adorable, took me back to my childhood when books like Where's Waldo would have waiting lists at the library.

Your goal? Find all the cats! Plus a few surprises and secrets along the way.

I especially appreciate the devs knew what they were creating (they've done it before, after all), set out to achieve that goal, and then released it at a reasonable price point for what you get. Plus some proceeds go back to helping cats in need, so that's a bonus!

A fancatstic little diversion that's purrfectly presented - meowgnificent! (Okay, I'll stop.)

A sweet little short game. I mean it didn't take me two hours to finish it but it was so fun!
My elderly mother even stopped by to help me find all of those cute kitties.
It is worth the money spend, especially for their support of cats etc.
I'm no game critic but I can recommend it a lot for a casual little game break~~

This is the greatest game, I would like 12 more please~

All you do is find cats and there's some story and adorable artwork, and I won't spoil the ending, but it's great too! Only complaint is that this game ends at all, but in a month or two I'll forget where the cats are and can try again. 10/10

Pretty good game for the price. It does what it says on the box -- find the hidden objects. Some of the objects are more-or-less random pixel hunts, as you click on random objects to see if they open and have a cat inside.
I'd appreciate having multiple profiles, so I could play it and find things, then help my kids without having to delete all of my progress.

A Castle Full of Cats is the newest game in Devcats repertoire of games and it does not disappoint!

In this game you need to find the cursed cats hidden in different rooms of the castle and pet and purify each one of them, even the ones in hiding out of sight in containers and unpredictable places! You also get to meet old friends from their previous games, like Fofiño, who has been cursed by an evil force! As Lily, you gather your friends and save him from the curse, letting love win all!

It's a lovely, spooky experience of a hidden object type of game, with lovely soundtrack and cute looking cats! Even though quite short, it's definitely worth the money and it's full of fun times. Highly recommended.

Runs well on Steam Deck, just use L1 and R1 to zoom in and out. Though the last level is difficult on Steam Deck because you can't zoom in and it is time based. I really enjoyed my time with this game, but some accessibility options wouldn't go amiss here. The game took me about 2.5hrs to 100% including faffing about time. Overall, recommended for cat lovers, people that like chill games, and fans of spookiness.

Great follow-up from A Building Full of Cats. It was nice to see the creativity in level design to break apart the linearity. However, a couple small things bugged me:

1. The zoom feature was a very nice addition to the game, but it seems to zoom with the origin set to the middle of the screen, rather than zooming in and out towards the cursor. This means if I was looking at something I wanted to zoom into, I'd have to zoom in, then figure out where the camera had gone so I could pan back to the thing I wanted to see.
2. I think the previous game had a similar issue, but it seems like all of the actions are triggered on MouseDown, and with all of the new doors added to the rooms and larger room sizes, this makes it really easy to accidentally click on stuff while trying to pan around. I wonder if the interactions could be skipped somehow if you're panning, or perhaps making panning a different mouse button from interacting.
3. Similar to the previous game, there was a cat hidden behind the remaining cats counter. I don't really like this practice - I feel like any cats or interactive objects should be visible on the screen and not hidden behind the UI.
4. Not a fan of the music in this one

mirta000
mirta000

Better than the first one.
Music feels more impressive.
There are zoom features.
There is a boss fight.
There are hidden non-cat related items to find, such as keys and secret locations.

10/10 would cat.

So many amazing improvements from the last game. I love zooming in to look closely for the cats and the addition of the map and hint system is top tier. Aesthetic, relaxing, and fun! For the price, I think it’s worth a try.

Super fun and more advanced in this installment than the puzzle games before it. Gaining keys that help us in other parts of the entire castle was very cool to figure out. I feel like I'm getting through the levels pretty fast, but only because I am used to these games since I've played the ones before. All in all, I feel like it's still simple for anyone to pick up and enjoy. Love the art style per usual but I love how much longer it takes to put all the pieces together in this one. Worth the bucks. Try it and have a ball. You can tell the devs wanted to up the ante in this one and it shows. Good job y'all.

Devcats outdid themselves. Building on the formula of the first, they added story, some puzzling + a boss to create a well-rounded hidden object without straying too far from the original idea. More kitties, more areas to explore.

At this moment I can't say much. I just love them so much. Their games are all very fun to play, very colorful and pretty and always have the great message to adopt, not shop.
And they include the best pictures of the cutest cats!

Oh my goooood I love this game. I've played a few hidden object games (even some with cats!) and those were great, HOWEVER, this one is 1,000 times better. Why? Because it's an actual game! There are other hidden objects, like keys, quest items, different kinds of cats that do different things. Almost every room has "hidden" cats and cats that are hidden even more hidden. This is genuinely an excellent game.

Update. I completed the game 100%. It took me 2.2 hours and I'm totally satisfied. Now to go play ABFOC!

Game has a nice, cartoonish art style and simple, but fun plot. Although it's not very long, finding some locations and hidden content may be tricky.

This is the best of the Hidden Object games by Devcats so far! It has all of their staples: cute hidden cats to find, a small story and even some surprise elements.

It is clear lots of love went into this and I really enjoyed my time in the castle. Playtime is about 1,5 hours (a bit more for trading cards) and the price is reasonable. It can probably be played with children, just keep in mind there are very mild spooky elements.

Only gripe is that some of the artstyle isn't consistent and clashes a bit. Otherwise 100% recommend!

I got this game in a bundle with A Building full of cats and I loved them both. The cause of the 5 developers (and 3 humans) is great and I hope they get to create more amazing games. The only con with this game is that it is very easy to accidentally click on the different entrances while panning around the rooms (noticeable mainly in the Main hall and Dungeons). Other than that the game is awesome and very fun.

This was really fun and I enjoyed the mini-puzzles and advancing story of it. The types of cats to find and ways to find them, the places to go, the story, I enjoyed this so much. It was a lovely little game and I hope to keep supporting these wonderful kitties.

I love the games of this dev team, I have all those which have been released and it makes me happy to play them. I was waiting for that one, the page opened to be able to snatch it right away and here it is, as perfect as I hoped it would be !
How do I got to 13 hours of playing ? Simple, I made a guide and not just a video or large screenshots to show every cats and secrets, instead I made a guide giving clues to find all the secrets of the game and get all the achievements. Thus I finished the game four times to get all the screenshots I needed aaaand now you can use the guide yourself to get that tiny hint you needed to find Cathulhu or where Fofiño hide all the salamis !

LOVE the message behind this game!!! Having several adopted family members (of the 4-legged kind hehe), it is so exciting to see a game in the form of an adorable adoption reminder! And the fact that some of the proceeds go to help humane societies is amazing!! I love the graphics and the extra little fun hidden achievements of this game. It is so simple and yet so pleasing aesthetically and mentally when you get to see a little kitty form light up of them doing something silly! Would 100/10 recommend this game to anyone of any age or gender who loves search and finds, cats, hidden challenges, cute and simple graphics, and....did I mention cats? :)

Honestly, a really super cute game that is a nice stress reliever - the only issue I had if I got the DLC for the halloween and I'm not entirely sure how to start going about it. But besides that, fun little obstacles and if you stream with your friends, it makes the end really laughable and enjoyable. I'd recommend adding more levels and secrets to this place !

very cute game, very Quick game but a cute one.
it has a kind of a "where's waldo" type of mechanic to it. a small touch of puzzles thrown in just for good measure.
the big thing, for me at least, is that it's not just a game-game. it actually helps put out awareness for shelter cats. there are little notes through out the game about adopting and helping those unfortunates that find themselves in shelters through no fault of their own. and i gather from some of the things mentioned in the game itself by the devs, part of the proceeds from the games they make actually go To saving shelter cats.
so, for a small sum, you get a nice little time waster with a little bit of difficulty to it (i did need to check a walkthrough for a couple things) that helps out critters.
not a bad trade, i'd say.

TL;DR: A fun, very-mild, gothic-horror, cat-searching game, but with some exploring and puzzle-solving to be done. A worthy successor to the Building Full of Cats game.

Full review:

The premise of A Castle Full of Cats is fairly simple. Search for the "cursed cats" in a variety of visually-busy castle rooms, and set them free. If you have played A Building Full of Cats, then you'll know what to expect. However, A Castle Full of Cats goes much further, including a light story line, a more exploratory style of play (discovering rooms) and some light puzzle solving to be done. These are not particularly hard, so this is a relaxing puzzle game, rather than a mentally demanding one. The storyline is not particularly deep, but it is enough to tie together the different rooms, add to the ambience, and drive you on to find all the cats!

There are some cute references and jokes hidden among the artwork, which made me smile on numerous occasions. The graphics themselves are crisp and clean and have been well drawn. The user interface is a bit more sophisticated than A Castle Full of Cats... particularly the zoom feature, which is great for truly scouring a room looking for just one... more... cat. I found the zoom a little awkward (it never seems to zoom in/out from quite where the mouse cursor was, but it was close enough). I also found the soundtrack a bit tedious (and a little out-of-style, in places). However these are very minor comments and overall there was nothing detrimental to play. In total, it took me a few hours to play it.

In summary, a delightful game, from the DevCats team and their humans (please make more of these games!). A Castle Full of Cats has lots of cats to find, rooms to visit, and fun to be had. Heartily recommended! Mjau!!

cozy game with a nice artstyle and full of super cute cats! I really love that there are little sidequests that you can solve along the way through the castle. I am sorry, but the very last stage of this game totally ruined it for me. The last stage is a TIMED find cats with VERY little time to find them. Progress resets under some totally unclear set of 'rules'.

This is a totally frustrating (for me) end to what otherwise could have been a fine hidden object game and a positive review.

The developer said he was not going to do this sort of puzzle, then went ahead and did it anyway.

I've played a good few hidden item games, and this is a GREAT one! It's not just another tiny game with 5 items in each room compensating by just being way too hard, it's got a good amount of easy finds and more challenging ones to keep you coming back without getting so discouraged you don't even wanna play anymore.

I just loved it... The art, the music (might just be stock music like in Building Full of Cats, not sure, but who cares it's good!!), the story, the few characters.. It's all so charming and sweet, an instant mood boost.

Short: enough meows, h a v e a t y o u.

Long: I liked Building Full of Cats, but Castle Full of Cats is by far the superior game, if not the best hidden object adventure I've ever played. Granted, it's not like I play them often; it's a rarity for one to even find its way onto my radar, but I can't imagine the genre achieving any better given the core gameplay loop—not only is there significantly more to find or do, but there's even a final boss, and he's surprisingly challenging, at that!

Between that and the developer's commitment to helping strays and adoption centers, you really can't go wrong considering the pocket change purchase.

I love this game. It's absolutely adorable and I love all of the little hidden gems (and kitties of course). It's very relaxing, aside from the end "boss," which really isn't stressful. It's a timed "fight" that requires speed and attention to detail, but it's manageable and not frustrating at all. You spend your time searching for hidden cats and they all have unique little animations to change into a different position or have a different appearance once you find them. There's many secrets you can stumble upon. I recommend going in blind and see what you can find! The artwork is lovely and I appreciate that Devcats creates search and finds that are refreshing, with features I haven't seen in others. All of their games feel very personal and it's clear that there is so much love put into it. Highly recommend. All of the love and support.

Great way to spend an hour or two! I had a lot fun finding every single cat. It also has a cute story and little side objectives to go along with the main objective of cat spotting. Definitely worth the price of a couple dollars.
