I'm not the best at writing reviews and I'm not a fan of reading my own reviews, but for this one particular game, I feel like I have to make an exception and write a word or two.
When I first started reading ATRI my expectations were quite low, but when I finally got to meet Atri, I gave up all stupid "expectations" and just had a very good time.
Every moment I've spent with the characters was one of a kind, and I wasn't bored even for a moment.
Beautifully drawn backgrounds create a unique atmosphere of "a hopeless world".
The OST also deserves a separate mention. I'd even say that without tracks like "The Sunken City" or "The Happy Little Killer Robot" this wouldn't be the same.
To sum up, getting to know Atri was a great experience and I won't ever forget it!

This visual novel is truly heart wrenching. It takes quit a bit to cause me to feel the emotions that this game did.

Side note- the reason for the number of hours I have in this game is me just vibeing to the soundtrack. Its really good.

Wonderful VN, I already played the JAST version and now bought it on Steam too to celebrate the animation announcement. Congratulations!!

Also, please tell the higher ups at Aniplex to animate Tsukihime too...and you know maybe release it in English finally...
(Yeah I'm getting desperate)

An absolutely wonderful visual novel.
What's there not to love about this? Colorful and atmospheric OST (especially 'The Sunken City'), extremely crisp and wonderful art, great voice acting, and a beautiful story!

And to those that have finished a playthrough of this...
Make sure to get the True Ending, it will tie up any loose ends you have with the story. Just pick both choices in The School Invaded part.

I'm not good at writing reviews or critics so bear with me. Let me get this straight, my first impression of this game is neutral. After I heard that this visual novel is going to be adopted into an anime, I just gave it a try. Story writing is good, the voice acting is on point and the music playing in the background is majestic. After 3 hours of playing, I'm 100% sure that the author of this visual novel has some kind of leg fetish. Also, I'm certainly going to give the anime adaption a watch. I will keep this updated if I finish the game.

——高性能ですから!
The picture quality, technically, isn't the best among the galgames i've played before but, its story really touched me.

ok now that i have clamed down after finishing the story for the third time
Yes, the story is flawed with plot holes. unexplained / not explained enough characters and ideas.
Most of the plot holes lies on atri and natsuki.
The story can be childish at time. The transition between childish and " serious " was poorly done
The choices given that could affect the story makes no sens. It has nothing to do with the different ending. For me, i think the choices were rather stupid.

There were lots of things that were introduced to the story, however, they either not explained or not utilised to further support the story.
Sometimes it feels as if a character were mentioned just so that there is this thing distracting the reader from paying attention to the main / major flaw.

Despite having lots of plot holes in the story. It's beautiful. Overwhelmingly positive isn't exactly how I would describe the story. Sure, it was beautiful, but there were rooms for improvement.
I love this visual novel for what it could've been, the execution itself could've been better.
Granted, this vn is short ( 7 hours to complete at that ). In this short time, the vn was able to tell a beautiful story, as such; plot hole are to be expected.

although i doubt most of us are going to care about it anyway, most people are going to ignore it and act like it's not important as long as they like the story.
i can see a lot of normie saying they like the story without actually understanding it when the anime adaptation comes

Characters are really likeable. The character development are really interesting, ( even if it seems too fantasy for it to be something that is "acceptable"( am i even wording this sentence right? , maybe that's how high performance my brain are )
Despite being interesting, most character are underdeveloped. They lack the " progression" which are used to help us become attached to certain characters
Ryuuji is the man.

(a little bit of spoiler...)
The world building is quite engaging ngl. I love how they gave us a false sense of security and then the next minute, destroy it leaving nothing left for us to expect.

I would love to see character's being explained and introduced more. As the vn was only ~9 hours long, they did a really good job.

With the recent announcement of atri anime adaptation. It gets me hyped, however, i dont think the story is going to be translated well into the anime format.
If i had to guess, it's going to be this one anime most people says it sucks, with a large group of normie saying it's good without being to explain why as they only likes it due to the fact that there are cute girls in the story.

The story is easy to understand, the symbolish could be improved, however, i like it the way it is. Simple, just like how teenagers imagine what their life would be without actually understand it fully.

All 3 of the endings was rather disappointing. About 85% of the story in the good ending was world building, ~95 in the bad ending. The " True Ending " however were full of plotholes.
I expected the ending to be somewhat more meaningful as the world building was decent.
The story ends without any explanations, lots of things were introduced only to not be mentioned again later.

Atri overall was a pretty enjoyable read if it was not to be taken seriously.
It is wholesome in a way, though, could've been a lot better.

Like other visual novel targeted towards the general stereotypes of weebs and degenerates.
This story is "shallow", it is just another story on the internet that were nicely put together.
It lacks meaning and fundamentals of what makes a literature.
The structure is decent, however, it is still lacking the perspectives.
The main conflict of the story regarding emotions are pretty childishly written.
It's is just a conflict of moral and law. It was poorly written and it can be seen in the story without having to analyse it.

The character's ability and intelligence seems a little too far-fetched considering the fact that this world are setted in the near future of our own world.
There were points where something happend just because it did with seemingly no explanation or if there were, it would be... stupid.

Sometimes the story can be filled with unnecessary slice of life moments. It can gets repetitive and the background of the main character may seems to be a ltitle " edgy" as his family weren't explained much.

The story lacks the audience's perspective in the story. As the visual was really short, it lacks context of the conflict and the world ( in terms of humanoid's world and nature ).
The story seems to be telling us what happend in the story as if it was a play scripts.
instead of having a well organized coherent set of questions and conflict, they shows the conflict one by one and then resolve them with childish or unclear explanation.

A good literature has no definite meaning, it is different to people. For me, it is one that somehow manages to affects your life, even for a little bit changes your beliefs and understanding.
You could say that Atri can change your beliefs and change how you view things. Though, i highly doubt that it would change how anyone view things at all as the story was a little too simple and can be " shallow ".

Characters are mostly likeable, however, some character lack purpose.
I dont remember the name of the character, but there is a character that was introduced into the story shortly after the re-opening of the school. A middle school girl character was introduced into the story. Though, she has no model even though she serves some purpose in the story.

Other character in the story such as the younger kids in the school may have serves a purpose at first, however, they lack purpose once the world building has finishes. Although despite having a lot of younger characters in the story, only some of them had a dialogue, most of them serving no purpose whatsoever.

If i had to take an approach to Atri with the mindset of average targeted audience of this story ( one who consume this type of story in the format of anime,vn,ln or manga without actually understanding it. ( reading/watching for fun) )
This story may be actually really good if you don't care about plot holes and how much this story lacks in terms of good literature

I love the ost.
especially " Tranquil moment "

I do like the " message " or " meaning " in the story tho,
i see some idea being conveyed, mostly it's making me think i should stop playing vn and get a life

I too am just a teenager, as such, due to lack of experiences and understanding of the actual world, this review is just an opinion of mine.
I wonder what my 13yo self thought of this when i played it a couple of years ago, your experiences probably changes the way you view things. Maybe once i experince more stuff i'll think that this was amazing or maybe it was horrible.
story 7/10
what it could've been 8.5/10

beautiful story if you can ignore major plot hole

Haven't played any games which contains so much ridiculous and sorrow details about female-protagonist. Rich stories, characteristic expression of both mains and their mutual loves indeed make this VN much more and more interesting and enjoyable. One of the best product have ever made.

This game is an absolute gem. I put this game off for two years and finally got to reading it. If you loved planetarian then you will love this visual novel because they are very similar, both in post-apocalyptic world, both has an edgy MC who's kokoro grow like the Christmas Grinch and both will make your emotions sway, only difference is that ATRI is high performance.

ATRI is a very well written out story which doesn’t waste time with getting straight to the point. Everything about it screams high quality, with the music blending in beautifully, to the art matching the world perfectly. The characters are one of the biggest reasons as to why I love ATRI. All of them become very likeable towards the end ( ryuuji is THE man). This visual novel has brought out emotions that I have not felt in a very long time, so with that, I highly highly recommend you check ATRI out. You won’t be disappointed!

This game is absolutely beautiful. At one point, it's stopped being a game for me and more of an experience. There's so much love put into this game. I wish more people would play this and meet Atri because this game deserves all the positive reviews it has and more than that. It hit my heart in all the right places and made me cry so much. It also made me very nostalgic of something that I've never even experienced. This game has immersed me way more than any visual novel ever had, so much that it started feeling like I was the one going through all of the experiences. The humor, the CG, the music, this is a masterpiece. Worth every penny and more.

We love you, Atri.

ATRI -My Dear Moments-

Does the world include 'me'?

Preclaimer

- Since many Visual Novels are similar in a bunch of ways, I'm gonna review this one on a few common aspects.

[hr]

Introduction

ATRI is a Nakige, a Visual Novel with a more serious, emotional story that combines its silly slice of life moments with a rather dark plot. Hiding somewhere in the gap between a Kinetic Novel and the normal multi-route Visual Novel with its choices but linear story that only truly splits off into alternate endings, it's a comparably shorter game overall, yet investing all that time into the one and only story arc. It is also fully all-ages, with the exception for a little generic fanservice.

Graphical & Technical Quality

Visually, ATRI seems like a double-edged sword.
It has really nice CGs, beautiful background scenery and 3D backgrounds capturing the state of the world with worthy detail. We even get a couple of visual effects to spice scenes up.

On the other hand though, all of this is only offered in 720p. The character sprites have a kinda sketchy art style, aren't animated in the slightest (like blinking, mouth movement, ...) and only ever change once per scene transition. Furthermore, the sprites as well as the CGs have far less variety to them than in most other VNs I know. Also, as nice they are overall, the 3D special effects just put over the (mostly just black) 2D background without any noticeable scene attachment do look weird at times.

Keeping in mind that this game apparently was originally developed and released in as modern times as 2020 that is kinda sad, and might be off-putting for people being simply allured by the promising artworks on the shop page.

Technically though ATRI easily keeps up to its competitors. Running on the KiriKiri engine usually is a good sign, and this game keeps up to those expectations featuring known default features like over 100 customizable save slots, auto and skip modes with in-depth behavior customization and generally many, many customization options. On top of that we have higher level gimmicks like voice line saving, a theater mode, adjustable game speed and a slightly customizable menu bar. The hidden advanced settings menu for performance finetuning is also accessible.

The music of the game has a few really good tracks though they are usually short, and is generally just a neutral background addition to the story. That means neither catchy nor annoying.

Finally, the translation sadly has a couple more typos or missing words compared to normally but is solid in its core, translating rather by meaning than word for word.

Content & Runtime

What can you expect from this game?
A dark story about loss, the end of the world and the power of love and hope.
For unknown reasons the sea levels across the world rose drastically, swallowing many parts of humanities living space and technological advances. Due to that many people lost their homes, their loved ones or even their entire stand in life.

So did our protagonist - after losing leg and family to a devastating accident and his hope for a brighter future he returns to what little remains of his grandmother's old town, his second home. Trying to pay off the debt she inherited him alongside his new floating home he salvages the sunken remains of her old house and research center, finding the "valuable treasure" the debt collector wants to be a humanoid android named Atri.

While clearly his life was destined to change on this fateful day, finding out just how important that seemingly unique, useless robot really is, is as big a task as his old dream to "save the world" is - and the two might be connected stronger than he thinks.

Accompanying our protagonist is a distinct main cast amongst the few remaining residents of that mostly sunken city, ranging from grade school children to adults and every one of them are equally involved in the story. Though every one of the female companions have at least one generic, over the top stereotype they fulfill and not everyone gets the same level of background story.

The male sidekick is actually one of the most normal and relatable characters of the bunch, and our protagonist is not only granted a face in CGs but an entire, often used character sprite.

The linear story of the game is only really altered for the 3 endings - the good, the bad and the unlockable true one. To do so you have an entire 3 obvious choices throughout the story (and a "true ending" button in the main menu). And due to how considerably little the endings change in terms of playtime, a total of around 20h not rush-skipping is what you can expect.

After doing so for at least one ending you unlock the gallery. There you can re-enjoy the 25 CGs, 6 SDs and 24 OSTs of the game as well as its opening and ending movie.

Conclusion

Is this game worth it?
Generally, yes. ATRI features a notably longer playtime than the normal Kinetic Novel I know for a justified slightly higher price, even having multiple endings. The story is enjoyable albeit a bit too lax on progression and logic at times. It's worth it anyway, and there will always be another Steam sale for you.

So far I'm really liking this game. I think I'm nearing the end.

It has great characters, music, and story (development does feel about rushed at times but still good)

The only issue I have with it is the typical English localization. There's not a lot of grammar/spelling error, but it really gets on my nerves that the translator felt the need to add unnecessary remarks that he must think is soooo funny. It's just obnoxious more than anything. Ex: the JP/CHNS has dialogue basically making sound of gurggling during teeth brushing. For some dumb reason the localizer makes it some dumb comment like "yes mommy". NOWHERE does it mention mommy at all, nor was there an onne-san or autie character, whatever you call it. Then we have the characters sounding vulgar. A teacher says children in JP and CHNS, the guy decides to make her say brats. People being polite, this donkey once again felt the need to make the characters sound vulgar with rude remarks

I bought this game to experience the story the developers created, not read some dumb lines a donkey thinks is funny when its just obnoxious.

Aside from that, the GAME is great. The donkey localizer's taste isn't. But can be ignored for the most part.

Solid 9 out of 10
Original and extremely well written with humor, slice-of-life, and feelings. There is some decision making that affects the endings. All set in a run down world that unfolds its lore at a casual pace. Character design and voice acting are good, and the background art has a kind of painted photo style that fits the story. You will laugh and cry at this surprisingly deep story of mortality and love.

Before I purchased this game, I was looking for something amazing, I was looking for a VN that will leave me speechless and numb. I was recommended this game and I decided to get it. Throughout the entire play through of this VN, I felt myself changing. This game brought out so many unconventional features that a normal romance VN would never have. Every scene, every moment and every emotion was able to be brought out to the fullest. Firstly, the art of this game is absolutely beautiful and astonishing. The CGs were remarkable, HD quality and could set an emotional ride just by looking at some. Not only that, but the static pictures of each scene were beautiful to look at even if it was not much. Secondly, the music in this game is top-notch. Each scene had their own theme and the music portrayed the emotions to be set very very well. If it's a happy or funny scene, the music will lift your spirits and make you feel involved with this happiness on the screen. If its an emotional or sad scene, the music will create a wave of emotions that hit you right in your heart and make you feel exactly how the MC in the game feels at that moment. Many times have I just cried by listening to certain songs and music in the game. Thirdly, the character development in this game is very well paced. Each character had their own flaws and problems and through the 11 hours of play time, these problems and emotions each character goes through will make us players understand them a bit better. By the end of the game, you'll feel as though you're a part of their family as if you have just watched their life journey through those few hours. Lastly, the plot of this game and the way they created it was absolutely the most beautiful thing I may have witnessed in my life. Starting from scratch with almost nothing left and suddenly having people you care about all around you gives of a strong feeling of happiness. Finding love, and blossoming that love everyday with your utmost happiness and effort. Creating a community, and bringing everyone together. I would definitely say that this game has surpassed my expectations and I've come to love this game so much that its actually painful to have finished it. This was a very well made VN for people who seek for a satisfying love story, for people who absolutely adore the cute side of things and for people who just want to cry tears of sadness and happiness. For me, this game was definitely a journey I loved and that will be kept as a precious memory forever. 'Time is a cruel thief, but it can't steal this moment away from me.'

I'll be honest, I have the attention span of a goldfish so the first few hours of the game did bore me a little, but it definitely picks up after that.

A great story about a robot and a boy in a world that's been mostly submerged under water. For a visual novel, it doesn't have many branching paths. 2 different endings (good and bad end) and a true ending achieved after completing the good end. In total you have 3 different decisions to make throughout the game and I finished everything within 20 hours, but those were probably the best 20 hours I've sunk into a VN so far. Art style and the backgrounds look pretty nice as well, especially that opening movie.

10/10 Perfect VN for a rainy day ;)

I only needed to read this for an hour to know that it's going to be one of my favorite VNs of all time. Post-apocalyptic setting, extremely realistic and breath-taking background art, superb character art for the main girl, and an interesting and (surely) emotionally impactful story.

Update after finishing all endings: 10/10 masterpiece. Atri is one of my favorite characters of all time. I love her to death and just want to protecc. The VN perfectly fulfills its duty as a nakige by giving you depression with a mix of hope in a wonderful and extremely sad experience.

Just the first 3 hours of the game was well worth the money i bought this game with. Now that i have finished the whole story, i can absolutely give a recommendation to this story.

STOP READING IF YOU DON'T WANT ANY SPOILERS
_______________________________________

So there are two endings to this story, and the choices you have to make are quite obvious, and my advice is: do the good end before the bad end so you can skip every dialogue before the bad end (but do read the unread dialogues). Trust me, you'll thank me later if you follow this.

This story follows a lot more on story than anything else, also this is an all ages story (with maybe a little bit, and by a little bit, i mean really a little bit, of adult jokes) so don't expect any h-scenes.

This vn takes about 11 hours to 100% so it isn't that bad (11 hours if you skip already read content in your later playthroughs)

sorry for all the spoilers (i don't think they were that much spoilers, and i did give a warning, but still, if you thought you read too much, sorry)

here's what i thought on clearing all route ATRI -My Dear Moments-

this vn is basically just your usual touching love near dead vibe vn, but what makes it different is the developer can disguise the negative part of the genre with something else, yup the cg and VA's are da real MVP, especially the main character voiced by Akao Hikaru (gotta see her other works for sure) is sure i can say she did a splendid work to this game.

at first i just thought it's just gonna be your some standard near good vn because of the review rate but after clearing all the routes in 19 hours i understand the reason (actually you can clear it under 15 hours but this game just makes me to stop after a scene and thinking back about something else quite a times '3')a lol ) jokes a aside this game just make you to don't want fast clear at all.

Conclusion :
yeah this game is sure barely past it marks for a masterpiece vn (my opinion), but the positive mark of this game is the content is sure wide audience compatibility, it's not too much for newbie and it's not too cheap for man of culture, i am a player that always try to eat a gourmet in raw (clearing a vn without any research beforehand) and the result is some unique taste that i can't tell with few words, yup i got satisfied with this gourmet (game).

if you ever wondering it it's worth the money and time to buy this game the answer is yes absolutely ❤
especially the atri's moe gap is just so dazzling ❤❤❤

I did not expect a lot from this VN, I just got it, because it was on sale and I wanted to play a VN, yet my expectations were completely shattered.

The art in this game is extremely gorgeous, the CGs look breathtaking, so much, that you could take everyone of them as a Desktop Background by themselves. The Backgrounds are all very Detailed and all feel unique yet always complimenting the overall setting of the game and other backgrounds. The Character desings also are all pretty unique, not suffering from the all to common "same face syndrome" found in a lot of VNs and Anime. Sadly though, most of the art is noticably not Full HD. Calling it low res would be exaggerated, but it's not exactly high res either.

The best thing about this VN is the writing though. Featuring very likeable and memorable, yet quite deep and also often very flawed Characters, the Story revolves around a lot of well thought out Phisolophical themes like Trauma, the Ethics involved with High Performance A.I. or what the Passing of time can do to one.
"Time is a cruel thief to rob us of our former selves. We lose as much to life as we do to death."
"Time is a cruel thief but it cannot take this moment from me."
As a bonus, the game does a good job at explaining some of the concepts of the featured world, like the Ethic questions that came with the creation of A.I. Humanoid Robots or how the rising of the seas impact the world around it with quite the grounded competency.
Overall the scenario feels very well thought out. Some of it remains Science Fiction though of course.
Pacing wise, the game also feels quite good as well. Everything in the game is very apt, so it's almost never boring. Though that's mostly because the game in length is quite short, and that's also the game's biggest weakness. I would've loved to see more of the side characters backstory. While it is mentioned, it's never explored as well as the two MCs.

Also, did I mention, that the soundtrack is great as well?
Every piece fits very well where it's used. The tracks mostly feature a Piano or an Acoustic Guitar, making them fit really well with the whole Aquatic or Countryside vibe.

Overall, ATRI -My Dear Moments- is an amazing VN. The Story is tear jerking, sad and cruel, yet also hopeful and comforting, sadly rather short though, featuring beautiful art and a great soundtrack.
I'd definetly recommend buying this game, you probably won't regret it :)

This VN is really ambitious as you can see within its Staffs. And it sure delivers.
It has a post-apocalyptic setting with a heartwarming story, which is.. Interesting.

The VN is quite short but it's a really enjoyable short read.

Ahmmm, chomp, well... chomp, what to say, chomp,, about this story. (excuse me for talking with my mouth full, I'm eating a pineapple stick right now)
But about the 'game' It's... long? Too long? And with only three choices, it's hardly a game.
It was a bit of a grind to read. It's good, I'll give it that, but well... the first half? mweh.
Make it kinetic and compress it into half the reading time and it would be a great.
Now it's just a thick book with not that much content to fill the pages.
It was fun enough, so yes, I recommend, but it definitely is not ranked in my top 3 or Visual novels.

This isn't the first game to try to depict a love affair between a human and a robot. The famous anime PLASTIC MEMORIES, which is also published by ANIPLEX, is inextricably linked and similar to this game on many levels.

As a short visual novel game, the game is destined to be unable to avoid the fatal flaw of short stories: the plot progresses too fast or some characters are not created enough. But anyway, one flaw cannot obscure the splendor of the jade, this game is also very impressive. The game's discussion and description of the love story between robots and humans are relatively deep, and the game's worldview is also more interesting, but some parts still cannot make players feel enough interest. The voice actor of ATRI is outstanding, her energetic performances bring the characters to life to a great extent. The music of the game is immersive, and the scenes and illustration are also pleasing to the eye.

If you are interested in such a theme, then this game is definitely worth a try.

ATRI -My Dear Moments-

This was hands-down one of my favorite visual novels to read. Period. ATRI -My Dear Moments- puts the "novel" heavily into VN. The pacing, the experience, the development... everything.

I have read tons of novels, visual and non, and this one had an extremely satisfying progression of emotional roller-coasters that continuously deepened my connection with the characters. YOU aren't the main protagonist, but you follow him -- his name is Natsuki. The novel is kind of a romance novel, but it also really isn't one at all. It's very much so a hopeful story in an apocalyptic setting:

The game is set roughly 30-40 years from now (as of 2022). You follow the main protagonist who's had a bad run and lost his leg and is looking for an escape from reality (and a way to earn some money), and along that way he comes across a robot that his grandmother left in her (now undersea) warehouse. This connection ... and uncovering their histories ... is what the novel primarily focuses on, but the other characters the MC meets along the way also quickly find their way into your heart, and the novel effortlessly weaves together the development of the characters alone and with each other.

The plot is thick and often unpredictable, but even in the moments where you can foresee what's coming, it still hits you in a way you really weren't expecting it to. The music and the visuals are gorgeous, and you may fall in love with it immediately. If you don't, give the story a chance to pick up... you might not even notice by the time you've been sucked in.

You may or may not relate to the protagonist's mentality at various points as it evolves, but I thoroughly did, and the novel hit even harder for that. I even managed to relate to Atri at many moments -- no, I'm not a robot I promise (I think) -- and by the end, while I was extremely happy and satisfied with how it ended, I had to sit down and take some time to process everything that had happened. I was happy, but I simultaneously had this crushing feeling that genuinely left me struggling to breathe because I didn't want the story to end. I had no choice but to accept all 15 hours full of sadness, beauty, fulfillment, anger, happiness, and everything in between.

"Time is a cruel thief to rob us of our former selves. We lose as much to life as we do to death."

I will not be forgetting about this novel, Natsuki or Atri or the gang, any time soon. Probably never.

I went into this completely blind and it turned out to be one of the best visual novels I've ever read.

Be warned, though: ATRI is an emotional roller coaster. If you're looking for something purely light-hearted, this might not be the right VN for you. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend it.

Also, robot girl is cute. Beep boop.

Beautifully-written, cohesive and complete story with little to no filler. Not very long for a VN (took me just above 13h altogether), which probably works in its favor.
Well-done in terms of technical implementation, too. You can tell they spared no effort.
Soundtrack is great, and very fitting in each scene.
When it comes to graphics - the colors are rarely vibrant and saturated, which greatly emphasizes the bleakness of the world in which the story takes place.
Also, whoever voiced Ririka - great work! You made that side character memorable.

A more than okay Nakige

If you're familiar with animes like Plastic Memories, this one is for you
Took me like 20 hours to completed all the Endings, including the True Ending.
Here is my short review:

Well this visual novel is awesome, but I feel like it lacks something to push the emotions to the maximum possible. But I did cry tho, and I felt good about that. I had a great time with this. Not too long but either not too short, enough to fall in love with Atri-chan.

This is a nakige so you can't expect colorful happy endings or sweet moments all the times. They do exist, but in a different ways. This is just how you feel them. To me, the good ending and true ending were really well written. Here are the things that I really liked in this visual novel:
- Good story (as I mentioned above)
- Good CGs despite being designed in 720p
- Good voice acting, especially Atri's energetic voice and Kuudere robot voice
- Strong characters development
Overall, I would rate this visual novel 8.7/10. If you're new to visual novel, or just want a short, cute, emotional to read, I highly recommend this.

p/s: I love you forever, Atri.

It took me 26 hours to go though this visual novel because I ran across English words I didn't comprehend more than 170 times. In my opinion, there is a bit of gap of expression between the translated English and original Japanese one. Therefore, when English and Japanese is displayed at the same time, I couldn't read them fluently because I'm worried about the gap. So, when I read it only in English with the Japanese voices and sentences erased, I managed to understand it little by little. The reason why there is the expression gap might not be that the English translation is not working well, but rather than it's due to the proper expression in English. I thought both Asuta Konno, who is a game scenarist and Nicholas Ruban, who is a Japanese-English translator did a great job.

To be honest, I have a hard time recommending it, not because it is not good, but because the story impacted me on such a level that I feel completely crushed when I finished the story. I wish it would never end.

This visual novel makes it easy to appreciate the characters in their simple and joyful moments. Appreciating the little things in life that make it worthwhile to keep living.

There are also deep and dramatic plots that made me cry a few times.

There are some flaws as there are some typos here and there, and for it to be a short visual novel I feel like the story could have been built upon more, but that just shows how good it is to me. I wanted more, to the point even if it took 100 hours to finish reading, I would probably be wanting more, but alas.

Everytime I read the title of the novel, it reminds me how it really felt like they were dear, cherished moments for me while reading. I don't understand why or how I feel this way about a fictional story, but it's how I feel about it.

I would personally give it 9.5/10. If you are a fan of romantic stories, and aren't afraid to cry like a little baby at some parts, I do highly recommend you reading this visual novel.

What can I even say, this is such an amazing visual novel. Frankly there's nothing too surprising here; choices are minimal and the plot is predictable. Yet, why do I love this visual novel so much?

The characters, music, art, atmosphere, humor; this visual novel is just so well executed. The world just absorbed me; I can't help be sincerely wish for the happiness of these characters. There really is something magical here. I just don't know how to explain it, I want to cry in depression yet I can't help the hopeful smile creeping onto my face. Please give this visual novel a read, I hope you will feel similarly as I do.

This VN got me a lot emotional. The true ending makes me cry a lot. The character's design, the BGM, and the plots are just too good that I couldn't put them into words. The story is quite short but that's enough to impact me. I loved how they choose Atri's VA, which makes her cuter.

I love you, Atri-chan!!!!

9/10, I highly recommend this VN.

In short

It's 10/10 from me

    • The Story is very interesting
    • The Art is amazing, I like it a lot
    • Soundtrack is good

This is my first time reading a visual novel, my friend recommend me this. I Really Recommend this Game if you are new to this kind of stuff like me, its relatively a short one and very enjoyable, I enjoy every single minute of it.

This visual novel has a great impact on me, never thought a visual novel can make me cry a lot. As I finished reading this visual novel I really wish it would never end, it gave me a weird feeling after reading it. And I really wish there is a sequel for this, not sure that would be a good thing or not. Seeing the ending It felt like I'm satisfied and unsatisfied at the same time.

Nonetheless I'm glad that I read this VN. So once again if you like romance and want another of Plastic Memories I really recommend this game, its amazing and enjoyable.

I want write here my thoughts.

! WARNING Spoilers !

I just ended read up the moment where Natsuki readed the Atari's note book and a little bit afterwards.

So.. i never believed that robot can be like human or feeling like human, but...
i started to think about it more deeply, and i had thoughts about, that robots can feel things like we have, but not the same way we have feeling them

for example: if robot would did something wrong, the program would send him signal that he did something wrong and he failed, but the robot would try to fix the problem, and try not to make that fail again,
it's kinda similar to what we doing, we don't want to do the same fail, and we will try to fix it, but there are always exceptions, someone would made the same mistakes again and again, like if the program wasn't correct, or like if the program does not saying he's doing something wrong or at least, nothing THAT wrong that it's need to be solved

same with happiness, if robot would do something correct the program will send him that all good, like happiness
but... would he try to improve what he's doing, or he will do the same thing over and over again,
maybe if written up option like this it could be possible.

other thing, can robots feel pain?
i think they can, but as previos example not the same way as we feel it,
for exaple: if i got hit on a leg i'd feel pain and i'd try to avoind it next time,
but if robot would take a hit on a leg he would not feel pain obviously, but what if he will get a signal that getting hiting is bad (or on another words "wrong")
and he'll start to avoid the option where it is possible, like touching something hot or don't get damaged by knife when cooking.. seems like a pain but a little bit different

but can we actualy add something like actual pain, like... if the robot get hitted on arm and the program would send something like, Emergency!, there is damage on arm!, don't move it! don't let something worse happen to it!, close the hole if you can!
and afterwards he will try to avoid that emergency again in the future, because he suppose not to "feel" that emergency ever again, or like if he don't want to "feel" that again

so... next is not like examples that i wrote up there
i'd say, that this is even more interesting,
so, when Natsuki readed the Atari's note book and what happened afterwards, i got a thought that,
if another intelligent creatures are existed in our space, would they think not like us, but on other format.

follow my thoughts, when Natsuki readed the Atari's note book, it looked like,
she tried to be like other intelligent creatures and understand them, what they want, what they love, what they like,
what they expected from her, but beacause she is not a human she tries to do it with her own thought format
that human haven't.
i mean, we can understand what writed there but we don't agree or can't accept that this is the right way to do it, but Atary can't thinks like human, so she writed her thoughts on her own way that she will understand,
but... it looks like Natsuki was terrified and disgusted that she tried to act like a human... like she was the only one that tried to understand the other creature.

so i thought, if we'll meet other intelligent creatures, with other thought format would we even try to understand each other, what if they will try to act like humans but not will "feel" the things we are feeling?
or "feel" but on other way that not acceptable to us or what we can't understand?
would it terrified and disgusted us? or we'll be happy for that?
would humans tries to act like those other creatures or we will just hate them, because they don't act like us?
would they be terrified and disgusted from us?
beacuse we would try to act like them without "feelings" that they have.

i didn't write all my thoughts correctly because i don't know how to do it
but i'll happy to read or hear you'r thoughts on this direction.
Thank you for your attention.

Cried so much as if it was the end of "The Green Mile". All the characters end up being very likable (Ryuuji is the man). The story itself is very straightforward with minimal choices, but it's not a bad thing. The author knew what he wanted to convey and did it perfectly. It doesn't meander and wastes your time, so it ends up being just the right length, clocking at around 16 hours if you let each voice-line play out completely.

If you're looking for a straightforward story with a small cast of characters that will surely make you tear up or bawl your eyes out (your mileage may vary) - it's a sure bet. Highly recommend it to everyone!
