Standard golf-solitaire game with the typical system of allowing you to buy upgrades, in this game it's in the form of building up a village.

It has a story, I don't pay attention to it. I like to play these games whenever I don't feel like playing anything really and just want to chill. In those times it's nice to play one of these solitaire games while watching videos or movies, etc.

Graphics/Art Style (7/10)

This is the second generation of the "Avalon Legends Solitaire" series. The graphics/art style is much better than its predecessor. All those background wallpapers are so beautiful that they fit into the vibe nicely.

Story (3/10)

The story is quite basic with some characters and dialogues. But in this game, story doesn't really matter at all.

Gameplay (7/10)

The gameplay is interesting and pretty fun to play. The rules are identical to its predecessor, but with some enhancements such as more criteria to pass a level, more items in the shop, some resources to gather, etc. Very easy to pick up even for solitaire beginners. You draw one card each time from a deck of cards and match those which are either bigger or smaller number of the drawn card, until all cards are gone. Unlike its predecessor where in the late game it will be a bit more grindy to earn money, this second generation does not require you to grind at all. There will be plenty of money to buy items from the merchant in the late game. So it's quite easy to complete the entire game as long as you have enough patience.

Sound/Music (9/10)

I enjoyed listening to the background music so much. Very lively and this is a great improvement over the first generation.

Overall rating: (7/10)

Avalon Legends Solitaire 2 is quite fun to play and relaxing. There are great improvements in terms of the graphics and background music over the first generation, while the gameplay remains pretty much the same with a bit more items to shop and a few more criteria to unlock cards on the board and pass levels. These graphics and music enhancements together give the game a real soul.

A nice relaxing game with good graphics and sound effects, ideal for taking a break from killing and survival games. Maybe a little pricey even at the discounted price but I think still worth it.

It's a nice relaxing casual game :)
Might be a bit on the expensive side, but if you like casual games with upgrades and some casual grinding, this is great! :)

Fun game, a bit more challenging for the perfectionist than some of the other solitaire games around here.

A nice relaxing click one card higher-or-lower game with some details to keep you interested:
- Effects on cards - ice cards to clear to unlock snowed in cards, hammer card to get to break stone blocked cards, vine cards that need to be clicked on twice.
- Upgrades to purchase such as make sure first card can be played, extra undo, etc. etc.
- Buildings to purchase to make some production (to help build more buildings)
Quite a nice variety of different card layouts in each level to keep a feeling of variety. It's the sort of thing to drop in for 30 minutes each evening to relax at the end of the day.

Avalon Legends is the BEST Solitaire game on Steam Ever. With 300 levels you won't be whining about how short it is. The game isn't easy either. This is a challenging solitaire game, the way a true solitaire game should be. The plot is that you try to get perfections while playing to help build your city which will help you get powerups which you will need especially at the higher levels. Very entertaining with light hearted music and good graphics. Avalon Legends is well worth any price. 10/10. I had no issues with the games, no lagging, etc.. Just hours of good fun.

Loved the game and hope for more like it. The solitaire was entertaining and I am very fickle about types of solitaire games. I reccomend it to people who like solitaire with a interesting gameplay.

So if you like a very nice time waster then this is it. 33 horus and I am still less than half way done. I'm pretty sure I can miss an entire year of my childrens childhood before I completly finish this game.

First-rate solitaire game. Enough challenges to keep it interesting without moving it beyond being a casual game.

A fun little solitaire game that passes the time for a few hours, and with a nice little story progression as the game goes on. The card designs are beautiful, some of the best I've seen in a solitaire game

It's a solitaire game with a twist -- you have three different resources (gold, food and building mats) you spend on upgrading your castle (buildings which either provide resources or unlock further "tech") and magic (which affects the card play or increases buildings' output). What else to wish for?..

... Well, the game being half as long. Because it has 300 levels, and you max out exactly about level 150. After that, you have nothing to do with your resources at all, except brute force grind through the remaining 150 (!) levels by buying wildcards or jokers when you can't perfect finish right away.

Don't worry, you will have more than enough income to not even bother trading food/bricks for gold while doing that.

That is, if you are obsessive enough to do the chore.

If you like solitaire, you will certainly get your money's worth here. Part of the time you are rebuilding King Arthur’s castle and compound by collecting resources to protect it from a goblin attack. You gather food, gold and material resources. Once you finish Merlin's tower, you can buy power-ups with your resources (some with one-time use and others that you can continue to use). However, you can repurchase a maximum of 5 wild cards and 2 jokers, each hand. You can also go back and replay hands, especially if you want to complete the game with all perfect (3 star) achievement. Lots of achievements you can complete. Very enjoyable and nice graphics.

Once you get the castle and compound built, there doesn't seem much interaction with the characters and not much to do except to get through hands or go back and try to get perfect hands. Then again, you can pile up money to finish buying all the power-ups and wild cards.

The only problem I had was getting a random exception error, especially after playing several hands. This crashes the game. The other bug I noticed, which does not affect the game, is the background is skewed or doesn't show up at all (the background appears solid white or black.)

Quite possibly the only solitaire game you'll ever need, with a bit of a story, a tiny bit of resource management and town building, power-ups you can either buy or ignore, decent graphics, and (important to me sometimes,) a game that's still fun to play with the sound turned off. 10/10

A good game that actually has a nice soundtrack and let's you replay hands to get perfect scores. Much better than their first game that had no replays.

Love it! It's a lot better than the first one. Adds more elements to the game to make it more enjoyable. The cards are actually dropping for this one, unlike the other.

Oh, and the guy who lives next to the sawmill looks a bit like Littler Finger from Game of Thrones lol.

This is a fun, relaxing game. The solitaire is interesting enough, and the plot... well, it is cool. Much of the gameplay appears to me to be a solitaire-version of the Cradle games (where-in you play levels to acquire resources and the like to build/rebuild a city/castle...

Anyway, I would suggest acquiring the game through a bundle and/or on discount.

This game is definitely much better than the previous one, however, it is not without flaws. It has nice graphs and the gameplay is nice and relaxing, the solitaire system appears to be reasonable - not too easy, not too hard. However, the game suffers from two really annoying problems:

- It is artificially long - you basically achieve everything halfway through the game and then just pointlessly keep on clicking just to finish it
- It is HORRIBLY bugged - the game crashes this way or the other more or less every few levels and has serious background display issues (there are no errors with the game rules themselves though)

This is a game for which a "don't know" button should exist, but taking into account the progress that the game authors have made from the previous game in this series, I think it deserves a recommend.

A good game to pass the time while listening to an audiobook. Has a lot of stages and a extra element to build out the castle, but really this doesn't add much to the game play,

this game doesn't provide anything you won't find in other solitaire games, but the whole package is so well-put-together that it became one of my favorites of the genre. nicely drawn backgrounds and cards, pleasant music, 300 levels, a bunch of powerups and buildings to spend resources on, npcs showing up occasionbally between levels to have a little conversation, no technical issues to speak of, nothing to complain about really, though it'd be nice if the outro only played once, not every time after completing or even quitting the final level.

sure, you might be all decked out (no pun intended) by the halfway point or so with a ton of money to buy as many wildcards and jokers as you want because there's nothing else to spend gold on, but obviously you don't have to, so the second half or final third of the game can still provide a challenge (mostly because of rng, as is typical).

I didn't have major issues with the first game, typical solitaire offering, but this is an improvement in every possible way, definitely worth buying.

Avalon Legends Solitaire 2 is the best solitaire game I've played on Steam. Shadowhand might be more engaging in terms of a solitaire hybrid, but I'm a big fan of this game's tactile feel, the static way that levels are completed, and ability to work towards multiple goals simultaneously.

At its core, it's not doing anything differently than other solitaire games on Steam. Each level presents you with a interesting layout of overlapping cards, and you'll try and remove them all (or as many as possible) from the board before you run out of cards in your deck. You can only remove a card that is either one number higher or lower than your current card. Therefore, if you have a 6 on the deck, you can only remove a 5 or a 7. If you click a 7 and an 8 exists on the board, you can create a 6-7-8 string, removing a number of cards without having a flip another card over from your deck.

However, in Avalon Legends Solitaire 2, you're also building a kingdom. Completing a level provides you with food, wood, and gold. With these resources, you can construct buildings that increase your gold, food, or wood production, or even buildings that will allow you to purchase additional magic powers. There are a large array of powers to buy and buildings to build, and the player constantly has something to look forward to while playing. My favorite powers are typically those that help me create combos more quickly, that increase my maximum score multiplier, and those that automatically remove cards from the board at the beginning of each level. It is very satisfying to watch your kingdom grow as you construct walls, gates, moats, etc. From time to time as you're building, an adviser will pop up and provide a bit of cheeky dialogue, usually a criticism of what buildings you're prioritizing as you build. I found it rather amusing.

In addition, I like the fact that the goal on every level is simply to remove all cards. Perhaps other players would miss having levels with goals like achieving a certain card combo or acquiring a certain amount of gold (or another resource), but I appreciated the simplicity. I wasn't asked to use spares or wild cards to artificially lengthen my combo or acquire a certain score.

Lastly, I liked the tactile feel of the game. Some cards are inaccessible as a result of being covered in frost. Clicking these cards creates the sound of shattering ice, and I never got tired of it during my playtime - it's just a very satisfying noise. The visual design is also pleasant, of both the cards and your kingdom. If you like playing Steam solitaire games, pick this up.

A fun game to pass the time. Nice art, nice music, and I liked the upgrades that made the game feel a little progressive instead of just the same game over and over.

About the only possible change I could think of would be to play about with how the upgrades are distributed. I played casually and just bought upgrades when I could afford them. Yet, when I had bought every possible upgrade I still have maybe two thirds of the game to go. Making those two thirds feel a lot samey-er than the first.

All in all would definitely recommend for those that like casual or themed solitaire games.

Easily the best solitaire on steam. The building is better than just trying to get a score.

This is my favorite solitaire game so far. Difficulty is just right. Cool story, and the side elements add to the fun without distracting. You can save progress anywhere, and restart levels to get them all perfect. Highly recommend!

Listen, it's solitaire...

The gameplay revolves around cards stacking on top of each other, which is why it is annoying that none of the game's card styles include numbers on opposite corners. Cards occasionally stack without depth, too. There were many crashes and the winning outro bugged.

It's solitaire with solid bonus mechanics and occasionally pretty art. There are better solitaire games to treat yourself to.

It's Solitaire. If you don't like solitaire, you won't like the game. If you do, it's fun.

However, game constantly crashes and is pretty buggy. I crash every one to two games. I probably won't keep playing because of it.

Even if your progress gets wiped all of a sudden, this is still a very enjoyable solitaire game. I have played a few others and this is the most fun one out there, in terms of flavor execution. Music is enchanting, too. Hope you enjoy this as much as I have. Definitely worth a purchase if on sale or in a bundle.

Outside of the need of a proper 'exit' button, it's not bad. Looked it up and you have to hit alt+F4 to exit the game, not a fan of that. But the music cute and I like watching the medieval town evolve. I also like a solitaire game that has a store for perks. Bought it on sale, wouldn't recommend outside of sale price.

This is a pretty basic solitaire game with power ups to earn and some pretendy city-builder elements. Attractive art, pleasant medieval / new agey music, fun gameplay, only occasional glitches BUT what everyone is saying about the last third of the game is true; it's a load of grinding with no real rewards above and beyond the desire to beat the final level. If you're looking for a solitaire game to keep you busy while your family is in the same room watching TV or you just want to play during coffee breaks, I'd give it a try on sale or in a bundle.
