Highly recommend this game, despite its problems. Beautiful landscapes, natural soundscapes. The way the glider climbs trees is unlike any game I've seen. He just runs straight up! And it's (mostly) smooth! Unlike other gamers, I find gliding easy enough and fun ... tho some sections warrant stepping away and returning later! ... I am hooked on this. You've got a long-term supporter here! Huge fan! ... Did you know I had the idea for the Explore portion of this game for 20 years now? Mine was called "grand theft animal" ahaha ... I even made a poster for it. And the life-orb was blue too! ... Anyway, didn't intend to write a novel! Can't wait for updates because yeh, a few glaringly obvious bugs! Still. Can't wait to play with my kids.

I can't have enjoyable play, because I'm constantly fighting with controlers. Gliding, fighting, aiming and even eating is hard and uncomfortable. I wish I could have just a nice, relaxing time, enjoying exploration as a sugar glider but honestly I can't. I often get killed, because the controlers don't work the way they should. I stopped playing the game when it cracked. That was too much.

loved the idea but game is seriously half baked , nothing works really well to be memorable but I have only spent like 4 cash for it so I'm kinda ok for what I got and nearly 4 hours of (very) easy gameplay
The game has performance problems since day one so all together this is a not reccomended one

Played for maybe 20 minutes and then gave up. Definitely does not look worth the price at this point.

The NatGeo type narrator concept was interesting, but the game play and graphics were just not what I expected.

Character feels completely rigid with leg animations that clip well above the ground or into it. The mouse turning feels laggy and slow while changes in direction with the a+d keys rotate the character instantly. They appear to have tried for a realistic looking model, but the movement doesn't feel like an animal at all.

The overall graphics quality is far below what I expected. This was likely exacerbated by the fact that the game only offers 16:9 resolutions tries to stretch those over an ultrawide screen. This results in the image being stretched across the whole screen, but the mouse can only be moved over the top 2/3 of the screen when selecting 3840x2160 on a 3840x1600 monitor. And the menu can only be interacted with by the mouse. 2560x1440 gave me full access to the screen with the mouse, but doesn't look good on a monitor at this resolution.

The camera sits very close to the character most of the time, making it hard to follow what's happening in the environment. Feels a bit like looking through a letter box. This is made worse when flying as you're trying to see around the character for where you're going to land. Especially annoying in the narrow camera view when jumping as the character jumps many times higher than it's own height, meaning you lose sight of where you're going to land unless you immediately tilt the camera down as you jump.

The tutorial section randomly adds information to the UI without really explaining any of it. And that information seems to just fade after a while. It's really not clear what the occasionally visible, coloured bars are indicating.

Overall it feels half finished and barely tested.

So far, I have found AWAY to be very fun from my first impressions. However, quests sometimes softlock you, making you restart to the previous checkpoint. In addition, I was hoping the story would be more like a standard nature documentary, rather than somewhat dystopian.

Overall, thanks to the graphics and the fact that the gameplay is pretty fun so far, I will rate this positive. However, if the softlock bug stays, I will definitely switch my review.

EDIT 1: They released a day 1 patch, which fixes most of the bugs I have ran into so far, added more camera options, and I have not seen a softlock since.

On paper this game seems really good, but the way it was executed is mediocre at best. In my hour of playing i had performance issues even at lowest setting, also ran into a few annoying glitches. But Performance and glitches aside, the game play is clunky, animations are a bit stiff and don't really feel right. It would honestly be an okay game if it wasn't for the bad performance and glitches. As of now i feel that this game is a 5/10 and i don't recommend it. If they decide to fix the performance and most of the glitches, i can see this being a 6/10 or maybe a 7/10. But until then i cannot recommend this game.

Disclaimer: I only played for about an hour and in story mode.

TLDR Really cool concept, looks decent enough except for some lighting issues, but some ai/script/loading, audio, and movement issues just make this a bit of a mess to try and get through. I don't recommend it in its current state.

------

I added this to my wishlist way back when because the concept looked so cool and unique, playing in a normal sized world from the perspective of a sugar glider, a small mammal, so I was excited to see a Steam email saying this was finally available! Unfortunately, there are a few funky things going on that made it difficult for me to really get into the game.

1) Lighting is a little wonky. Anytime there's light that flashes or changes as with lightning or something obstructing the sun, the lighting change is exaggerated and slow, like someone is flipping a light switch on and off.
I don't have an issue with how the game looks

2)If you move too fast it is possible to trigger the Attenborough-like narrator to start voicing multiple lines at once.

3) Movement of the player-glider feels sluggish as if it has some minor but still noticeable built-in lag. This also extends to the actions the player-animal can do, like jump, glide, eat, and fight. Combat is especially clunky as the animation has a fair amount of leadup time before the actual damage portion kicks in, and the soft lock-on that is available doesn't track very well. There's also a fair amount of cooldown time afterword and at the same time at least one input for an attack can be queued up while one attack is already in place, which just exacerbates everything. This was frustrating in a part of the game where the player-glider must kill a handful of relatively quick-moving spiders.

4) There seem to be some combination of script-loading, spawn, and ai movement problems. From the very start of the game where the player-glider must follow its mother glider, the mother would often get stuck at a checkpoint waiting for the player to catch up, but then not proceed once the player caught up or even moved ahead a little. Moving ahead a *lot* would eventually teleport the mother to the next appropriate checkpoint where she would typically start working as intended again.

After the spiders mentioned above in point 1 are encountered, both the mother and player-glider move through a checkpoint that is also a loading zone to continue the story. You find out that the mother needs an item before you continue, and the map pops up with a couple markers, one indicating your current location as the Main Quest, and another as Optional and allowing you to travel to the optional location. Unfortunately, I just exited the map because I figured the thing I needed was in the Main Quest area. This is not the case. The thing you need is in the so-called Optional area. I lost the ability to move to this area after closing the map and there was no further indication of how I could otherwise proceed. I tried restarting and reloading the game, and found my player-glider alone in a completely different section of the map that wasn't even close to where we were or anywhere we had been. Mother was nowhere to be found, and I still also couldn't access the Optional area. I reloaded again and was back at the spider battle, but the script that should have displayed that I should defend the mother did not display and the battle was essentially never-ending, we never reached the point where I could choose to go to the Optional-but-actually-required area no matter how many spiders I killed. I restarted the game again and found a new auto-save that was just before the battle started, and this got things going again. I finally made it to the not-so-Optional area, got the item for the mother, and we moved on.

Everything was mostly OK, except that in a new area I followed the mother to her death in the water because that's where she jumped, only to find out that the player-glider cannot jump out of the water, and using an ability that the player-glider gets to find the path the mother took, found that the mother did just that. Luckily the checkpoint was nearby and the mother didn't jump into the water again, and we got a little further without any big problems before I realized I just wasn't having fun.

Really cool concept, looks decent enough except for the lighting issues, but the ai/script/loading, audio, and movement issues just make this a bit of a mess to try and get through. Don't recommend it in its current state.

waited 18 months for this amazing looking game will give honest review once downloaded and played for several hours not a few minutes like some reviewers. bugs occur in all games and the devs can be contacted to update these, give them a chance dont just jump on a negative run away train, every one starts some where and this is definatly a new and topical subject. I have now played for several hours and as i said would then give a honest review. 50%through game now ,graphics, playing on 1920 1080 hd ultra high fps good no problem ,docomentry fps drops and slightly juttery. controls, i play on controller and not cluncky like some reviews, can not say about keypad and mouse have not tried them.bugs there are a few not game breaking and the devs are working on them. value, am really enjoying this game good price I bought on release day looking forward to finishing story mode, exploration mode bonus . if you enjoy nature and animals this is a no brainer, dont think about it buy it you wont regret it believe me I didnt

save-game system is horrible, if you fail even just one bit then oh golly.. start over from the top.. NOT JUST THE TOP, YOU START 2 HOURS OF COLLECTING AND GAMEPLAY OVER!!!

also this game has more bugs than my couch.. like ffs did they have no play-testers? like bruh i dont think you should be able to eat a large mushroom infinite times and be able to jump into the sky if you jam yourself in a corner and spam the attack button.

The game is great, and not incredibly buggy. the only annoying glitch is the overlapping narrator one, but thats still quite rare. The visuals are great, and controls aren't that bad

Really clunky controls, bad camera and some bugs, visually not too bad. If u want to be flying squirrel, then it is something new. Story isnt too bad too. I love games with new ideas. Yes i loved death stranding too. Something new, all most anyone, can make some kind of shooter this day.

i have to say i really like this game. there are a bunch of negative reviews so far which is fair, everyone can have their opinion. i have to say i really disagree with most of what the negative reviews are saying. i ran the game on both very high graphics and the highest option which is called documentary and i was getting 60+ fps the whole time. not great but def not bad at all.
the game is fairly simple but still really great. you are playing a sugar glider looking for its family in a "mock documentary" living out its journey. you have to eat bugs, mushrooms etc. and you have to avoid dangerous animals like a fox, wolf, big spider etc. all while climbing, jumping and gliding across the map. thats pretty much it so far. but its really really interesting. the world looks great, the sugar glider is super cute and fun to play as. the narrator has a good narrator voice and is interesting to listen to throughout the game.
i think the bad reviews so far are people who were expecting a full survival game as a sugar glider and its not really that. you have food, health and stamina but its more about exploration and the narration. so if that sounds interesting and if the trailer looks good with all of this in mind i think you will really like this game.
hopefully they expand on it. i would love to see more from the game as far as mechanics, or a full survival mode and creating new creatures that you can play as. i know thats all a lot to ask but the game has real potential to keep going with what they have so far.

To start off, I want to say that I've been waiting for this game for literally years and being kept up to date with updates via the newsletter along the way.... I'm incredibly disappointed with what was delivered so far. I'm about half an hour in and these are my observations. If you don't want to read the full thing, here is the top line:

EDIT: I've deleted some parts of my review that were bugs quickly addressed by the developers via a patch but some of my gripes still stand.

PROS:
- You're a sugar glider. Fun?
- Graphics are OK

CONS:
- Camera controls leave a lot to be desired (if you keep motion blur on prepare for nausea).
- Character controls sometimes feel like trial and error esp with attacks.
- Movement of glider feels robotic at times
- Very low FOV with no options to change (dev added option to change camera zoom but shockingly only to increase it from the originally already too close view????)
- Confusing to navigate map (you move the map around with.... WASD... also it doesn't tell you that anywhere... what?)

TAKEAWAYS
- Wait for updates and fixes
- Should have been early access and probably should be transitioned to early access
- Not worth the price right now
- Buggy

IN SUMMARY: This game feels like it should have been released as early access way before now and been iterated on with feedback from the community. Seems like they developed this in a vacuum, expecting some grand welcome but there's a lot wrong here, some of which stems from bad design decisions. I really wanted to like it, but as it is right now, I can't.

Sorry dev team, I know this is a passion project but you got some stuff to fix.

The game is awesome! Graphics and story are great. Few bugs that I reported and will let the devs fix, but nothing game-breaking during my story experience. I recommend it!

I played through the whole story mode, and lemme tell ya it was something. It started off fairly decent, I liked the first few minutes of the game. Then you get to this part with a horde of "black widow spiders" that attack your little squirrel family and you have to fend them off and escort your mom as she just keeps strolling leisurely towards your next destination. This part was a little irritating but you could look past it. Then the bird shows up. A vulture takes your mother and sister and you spend the rest of the game chasing after it.

There's a part where you have to avoid a spider that can catch you no matter how far away from it you are in that section, a poorly executed stealth section where you have to daintily tap W to move forward so as not to alert a bunch of sleeping rats, several janky stealth segments with wolves, and multiple lame quicktime events shoehorned in. A lot of the time I was confused as to where I was supposed to go or what I was actually supposed to be doing in a particular section. I also encountered some very severe lag which only got worse as the game continued.

There's a lot of climbing in this game, which gets irritating because of how difficult it is to navigate between tree branches. The game tries to autopilot you onto whatever branch you're closest to as you're climbing up or down a trunk, and once you get to the tip of a branch you almost always end up upside down for whatever reason. This makes it difficult to set up glides. The camera tends to get messy whenever you're climbing or when you're in a tight space, which is often in this game.

Throughout the game you encounter some snakes, which you fight by repeatedly dodging their strikes and attacking them in a predictable pattern. The final boss fight with the vulture follows the same format. These barely feel like fights and are ridiculously easy, despite being treated as major events.

To put it plainly, the game is buggy, laggy, and a lot of it is made up of boring or broken gimmick sections. I have no idea why this took so long to come out because it seems very unfinished.

I really wanted to like this game but its unplayably buggy.

The graphics are ugly, but I can forgive this for a small studio. The gameplay is janky, the combat is primitive and awkward. It reminds me of how broken Biomutant was at launch.

Ive hit 3 game breaking bugs in the first hour so I sent it for a refund.

Its a shame because it would have been a great game with a bit more polish. Check out "Lost Ember" or "Unfinished Swan" if you want a similar game that isn't totally broken.

I didn't really enjoy this game at all. I was very excited at first to finally be able to play it but the mechanics are very rigid and the game is full of glitches. After one hour of playing I got to a point where I simply couldn't complete the task. It's not worth it's money like it is right now, but I really hope for updates since it has some potential.

The documentary-style narration is a really cool idea to tell the story in a new and interesting way and indirectly guide the player to their next goal. Exploring the world as a sugar glider does have its challenges, but is ultimately a fun way to find your way through the world from a new perspective after you get used to the controls.

Such a wasted opportunity for a great game. Hollow and empty after about 3 hrs. The exploration mode could have been legend. The dev team has limited vision, very disappointing. The first dev team to recognize the mass desire for a good animal survival game, will be filthy rich! The genre remains wide open!

I definitely enjoyed the game. It's not nearly as buggy as I thought it would be based off of reviews. It's true the graphics aren't exactly next gen but they're still nice enough and I enjoyed the entire story mode. Animations aren't exactly clean but not too awful either.

I was very excited for the game and when I saw the reviews weren't all happy, I got a bit scared.
I read trough a bunch and decided to still give it a try. I'm not someone who cares too much about the visuals or controls.

There is of course bugs that really bothers me, but I am still loving it.

The Graphics isn't as bad as the people make it. I don't focus too much on it, if anything it is quite nice.
The controls don't bother me, it works fine. Maybe every once in a while it does feel a bit odd but not bothersome.

It does depend if you want a top of the tops graphics, best controls with no failure and no bugs at all.
Then I wouldn't recommend it.

If you don't mind as much, give it a try.
I'm having a grand ol time.

Camera would get annoying at times, The mother sugar glider would get stuck randomly on the mission with the foxes, and tons of other annoyances. I bought this game expecting a survival game, but it really felt more like a poorly made puzzle / platformer game. I much preferred the game's gliding prototype.

i have followed sage and the team since the start of this project -who doesnt want to be a sugar glider right?and i must say i personaly am not disapointed, its a slightly flawed but amazing and beautiful glide on the wild side.
yes there are some issues but these are teething problems as common in games with many small but dedicated teams, these bugs are not game killers-plus its continuously being updated.

ii think the price was fine i expected it to cost a lot more so it was a nice surprise to see the price pop upon release on tuesday.
remember it is rightfuly giving the team wages for the sleepless nights and endless programing and designing regardless of whether we as the gamers like it or not,and i dont know about you but id rather pay for an awesome indie game that has bugs and a dedicated dev team than a AAA game that is rushed out and supoedly finished and never patched.

with AWAY, i recommend using a control pad rather than keyboard/mouse combo as it can be fidgety and awkward in movement with the keyboard-especialy if you have poor fine motor skills-i used a wired third party xbox one pad and for me its controls are near perfect.

the textures and animals themselves are stunning,as is the calming narrators voice, theres lots of imersion with the surroundings and weather your sugar glider is in,so its a A+ from me.

3 hours in (vague minor spoilers, names of structures)

This game has one very unfortunate problem, movement. It needs to be polished more. whether its transitioning from one surface to another or trying to face your food it will either feel too clunky or far too sensitive. I've fallen off things like going from a windmill to a cable because there is the smallest bump of metal that should easily be stepped over but the joey just magically slips off sideways.

These problems don't happen 100% of the time but often enough to sour the game. Walking down trees is frustrating because it'll keep flipping you around. Going to the ends of branches is frustrating because sometimes it wont let you go back if you realize its not where you want to jump off from. You cant stand sideways on branches that are semi on the smaller side to jump from. You can always take the first bite of food easy but there are major problems eating food after its on the ground if its not completely flat. Sometimes while jumping up you'll get caught on things that you shouldn't. The aim assist for jumping doesn't pop up in small areas like while you're in bunker 2 so getting out involves you throwing yourself at the ceiling and hoping you land on the small narrow platforms to get out. I can ignore things like the joey's feet staying flat on branches but there is only so many times you can fall off a tree branch for no reason before you get annoyed.

Were I not patient and used to early access games i would've asked for a refund at the end of the first hour. Its very unfortunate because the world is beautiful and the story is interesting. The narrator adds to the game. It would be a great game if the movement wasn't so frustrating. I could only recommend if you're patient, and are used to unpolished games

I've been looking forward to this game for a long time and I really enjoyed it! I spent about 4 hours working through the story. Very simple gameplay and mechanics, but still challenging enough for me to get stuck on a few parts for a little while. I love the documentary style narration and the graphics were lovely. Looking forward to more games like this :).

Unfortunately I cannot recommend Away for one very personal reason, severe arachnophobia. I was (mostly) fine with the spiders that were roughly your own size, but the big, big ones.... freaking had a near heart attack escaping from the first. No way in hell am I facing the second in a stealth sequence. Sorry.

More practically, the game was beautiful to look at, though it had some problems with ultra-widescreen support. I found the controls both annoying and straightforward (playing on K&M), mainly for the more precise navigation components. There was also one particularly long glide section that became extremely frustrating as you would stop gliding for no apparent reason falling into the river, and have to start again.

I also felt a strong hand guiding the path with little real choice on how to proceed. I understand that some of that is absolutely necessary, but I still would have appreciated more choice, or perhaps more obvious choice, in how to get from A to B.

One story note for the Devs: getting the anti-venom butterfly's seems offset from the rest of the journey. For one, the narrator talks about reaching the trees when you're surrounded by them, for the other you move from the butterfly's light woods to the very next part of the journey starting at the bottom of a ravine. It felt jarring.

The concept of the game is nice, but it needs work, a lot of bugs that made the game barely playable. I completed the story mode in 4 hours.

This game looked fun because you played as an animal, but the fact is you end up dying more than surviving. It has no questmarks, it has no map markers, you end up getting lost as you dont know where to go next unless you use instincts which eat up alot of energy or whatever it is. I ended up have to see a guide as to where to go or what to do. Alot of the jumping is super hard like the log, as you dont get tutorial guides for alot of things and the things you need tutorial for the game does not provide for you. The game was not fun i ended up getting frustrated majority of my playthrough. I know its a new game but it needs alot of changes and alot of stuff added in because as of now, the navigation and the combat and the parkour is confusing. They give you the environment to use but dont tell you how youre to use it. And the fact is you dont even get help with combat either. For majority of the start of the game you travel with your NPC mom and she doesnt even help fight off enemies, she just sits their allowing herself get attacked and leaving only you to fight of the enemies. By far until drastic improvements are made, this game gets 0/10 and not my recommendation.

The game is adorable. However there are some underlying problems. The controls are kind of wonky, which after you get used to do become easier to manage. It is also very buggy in some places. During several of the boss fights I'd either get thrown to the ground and die instantly, or somehow end up underneath the map. In another section of the game where you have to run away from a predator the only instruction is to hold down shift which resulted in doing nothing but letting your little sugar glider get killed by said predator.
While I personally enjoyed the game, I will admit it was frustrating during the buggy parts of it, it is definitely not a game for everyone. Only get this game if you don't mind figuring out some of the wonky control mechanics and dealing with quite a few bugs that need to be worked out.

O.o

+ Idea of the game
+ Story telling

- Controls feel wrong (I played with a xbox controller)
- Aiming / Looking around could be better, sometimes aiming was hard or even impossible
- Fighting needs improvements (like more than simple dodge and one type of attack)
- Graphics could be better (tbh I expected more)

Sadly the game was not what I expected. Probably expected something more like Minecraft/Valheim with animals.

Played a little over 3 hours on the weekend. I'll keep checking back later in the week as it looks like the devs are patching it which is awesome - but so far I really love the idea of feeling like I'm in an Animal Documentary. I have been following this game for a while now. If you are looking for games that have a unique concept and you like animal games like me, I highly recommend this game!
Pros
+ Graphics and story
+ unique mechanics - Jump, run, fly (nice to do in a game)
+ (Spolier alert!) possessing other animals is really cool!
+ New concept
+Visually it looks amazing
+ Narrative voice A+++ gives the full documentary experience!!!!
Cons
- Few bugs (early bugs that I expect the devs to patch)
- The resolution isn’t always great, occasionally a little blurry

The concept is wonderful and the game is beautiful, obviously a lot of love have gone into it.
As far as creature movement, flying mechanism and control are concerned...that needs the same love the rest of the game got.

I don't regret buying this game, because if feels like a preview, rather than a finished product.
The developers seem to be hard at work to fix all this. I believe they will, which is why I have not requested a refund, but will give them some more time to make the whole game a wonderful experience.

I was very excited when I first saw the trailer of this game. But I have never played a story as short as this one. I played exactly 5.2 hours. The Survival Series isn't the game play but the journey itself. Especially the nature documentary format which explains the progression of game as we play through. I love how they depicted a post apocalyptic nature , which shows that life will always find a way. Don't approach this game with the mentality of other games from the same genre. This game is unique in its on ways.
Apart from the bugs here and there , I find it a very good game to spend your time for a relaxing mood.

This game sucks and makes me mad.

I HATED the alligator part, and no matter how far i get, I always get spawned in the beginning of the vines, sometimes, the swinging branches don't load in, and the last part is: sometimes the controls don't decide to work.

THIS GAME IS EPIC. I love nature shows, animals, and nature games. This game is all of them combined.

This game was super intense, and the storyline was amazing. The sugar gliders were super cute, which made one of the end scenes even more heartbreaking than it already was (not spoiling the end, but bring tissues because you'll need them.) The end also made me feel happy and sad at the same time. The game is very high quality, but will kill your graphics card if you don't have one that's good enough to run it, be warned! Overall I rate it 4 stars, 1 star taken away because of the death of 2 adorable sugar gliders.

It's a lovely concept, but ends up being very frustrating to play due to janky controls and camera. Also the ecology doesn't really make sense.

Love this game. It's so cute and I like the intro very much. Hard to get the last Lizard but I'll get it one day : D

It doesn't feel like this game is finished. Great concept. Controls are clunky. Graphics are very mediocre. Wish the world was a lot more open. So far it seems very linear and limited in what you are allowed to do.

Not sure why this game didn't get good reviews... Great graphics and very little bugs. Tops of trees can get a little buggy when on the smaller branches but overall very fun game and story.

I was expecting an open world adventure, similar to Ancestors, turns out it's just a single path follow-the-bad-guy-to-save-your-family game. Definitely a disappointment.

So, I played for about 2 hours and what I can say is...
I was a nice premise, being a little sugar glider learning to survive. They clearly had a lot of ideas they wanted to implement.
Unfortunately within that time I discovered that hunting bugs almost always resulted in launching them across the screen, never to be seen again.
The gliders look like they have mange due to the fur effect.
I caught a lizard, glitched through the floor and fell to my death.
If you're looking for a laugh this may be it due to the bizarre glitching you can get.

The concept of the game is awesome but at it's current state it's very buggy and frequently frustrating to play. Game physics/ animal control sensitivity and not really knowing where to go or how to get there means that you spend more time dying as your animal avatar. If they could polish this game up with would be really good.

I enjoyed this game. Played it on Nvidia GEForce Now. I am looking forward for others in this series especially if they are cute animals.

Kind of boring, not open world at all, when I played it was so easy to die and the exploration isn’t even you as the glider, it’s you as a spore from a mushroom

I wanted to like this game, I bought it day one. Sadly, this game has no idea what it is (part-walking sim, part-survival, part-platformer, part-fighting game, and part-QTE but does none of these things well). If it had focused on one of these things then maybe it would be worthwhile. Still quite buggy and it looks like they've stopped patching the game. But the worst part was the controls; I was annoyed by how little time we spent in the trees, then I wanted to return to the ground as soon as we got into them, which I did a lot because I got lost and had to drown myself just to reset and try again.

I'm sad.
I was so excited when the game trailer was published and was so happy when I bought it the day, it was released (not a move I do that often).
I really can imagine, how beautiful the story, the atmosphere and the narrative voice in the background would be. But actually I'm very disappointed...

The game has performance problems since day one and weren't fixed till today. The hitboxes aren't accurate, the movement is pretty inconsistent, there are still places I can go to that weren't meant to discover (and the only way to escape them to come back to the story is if you let yourself die). You don't get the feeling of an elegant, agile sugar glider since all the movements are rustic and you can't get attached to the feeling of being that sweet animal.

Mistakes can happen, even on that release day. But that game's on the market since almost a year and still I can't play it without being disappointed after half an hour. That is actually pretty sad...

Please fix those problems or playtest it better next time before you release a buggy product a whole community was waiting for.

Why even give us ability to move camera with the mouse if the games gonna constantly shift it and make you jump in the wrong directions? The controls are just terrible .. The narrative is good, but they need to rework the movement code, its the only thing that makes the game a poor user experience.

Okay, first of all; you are a juvenile (joey) sugar glider. Your father got taken away by a storm, so you are trying to survive with your younger sister and mother. Eventually, your mother and sister get taken away by a vulture. You try to find them and, in a fire, you find them in the nest in the middle of a burning tree (sounds fun, I know.) After that you can play the free-play mode.

The only problem is, it's a bit hard to control. At one point, it was impossible to play. It stopped me from moving. Now, I don't have the computer that they recommend, so that could be part of it.
I see a lot of hate coming from this game, but I think it's amazing! Recommended if you like animals, survival, and adventures. :DDD

Bought this game back in september 2021. It was stuttery mess of shitty graphics, terrible framerate and ugly animations along with neverending stream of bugs. "Maybe devs just need some more time" - i thought. It's been 8 months and nothing really had changed. Another great game killed by terrible execution.

Media estrella.

This game is very buggy, the game mechanics are poorly implemented and it is not polished at all. This feels more like a BETA version than a final product.

the game was amazing and all but when the wolves come in, I forgot part name but it doesn't narrate it. also, when the vulture chases you when I mash the left clicker on my mouse, the wire doesn't break. Otherwise I love the game and on a scale of 1 - 5 stars I give it 5. it you can fix this please do, Thanks!

A game with an amazing, educational yet creative, potential. But somehow, in so many ways, it just doesn't meet any expectations. The controls, even after updating, just don't feel right. The linearity of the story doesn't bother me but the dull storytelling does. It seems to pick and choose which real-life information to use and just irritates the hell out of me while I play. Very disappointing, even at sale price.

Wow don't listen to the whiners.

If you love wildlife, animal documentary and exploration games.

They even hired an orchestra for the soundtrack and audio commentary.

There is a bit of lag but the game is playable. I think it plays better on the console but 55% off is a bargain on the PC.

Beau travail!
