Do you wanna work out without going to the gym? If the answer is yes then get it. You'll love it with mods. So you can play any song you'd like!
Love this game! Decent way to get up and get some movement going. Interactive music, what a novel concept!
Fun game on it's own, but the only content they almost ever push out is paid dlc that's mapped worse than community maps, which are completely free.
I've only played for 8 hours but I can confidently say this is one of the best and most fun games I've ever played. I highly recommend this game, it's fun, challenging, and gives you a really good workout with your arms.
The game is pretty addictive. You can just try to go for the high score or dance along the rythm going completely crazy, even sweating off some pounds if you keep at it daily. That's not just saying it, it happened to me and it feels good. However, be careful and do not exaggerate. You will quickly get sore muscles if you do it too long. Don't forget to drink water every now and then :)
Fun beat game in VR! Not fun for my weakling arms. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't work out at all, as a fun way to gain arm strength!
This game is good but devs absolutely hate their fans, breaking mods on purpose update by update. The updates aren't even doing anything with the game, its just another music album you can spend money on. I'm not saying don't buy this game but please keep this in mind.

A lot of fun but can get a little annoying when it comes to tracking and it missing the odd one when you should have had it. Great game overall and well worth the money. The graphics will depend on the spec of the equipment (PC (if running through SteamVR) as well as the VR headset) but if you have a high end build, the graphics will look beautiful.
if you want to spend spend 40 minutes trying fix broken mods after every update then sure its great
not but seriously this game is reaaaally fun! 5/5
Rescently started using pcvr and this is one of the first ever vr games i got and i loved it, fr one of the best rhythm vr games ever also my arms hurt alot
Really fun game that combines great music with working out!
I can recommend getting this game on a sale and also installing some mods the community made (for FREE!) for the best experience possible.
Sabers go woosh! Its addictive, yet a good addicition to have. I have lost weight because of playing this game, but it never felt like a workout and I've only had fun (altho I must admit.. those Expert+ levels do get me to get a lil angry from time to time 😅).
I mean it's Beat Saber, what's more to say. It is 'the' VR game to get first. Fun for newbies and experts of the game. The DLC music packs keep the game fresh with new content on top the still regular developer updates to the game. The mod support and custom songs add even more. Such a great community!
Mods make the game fun. Play with headphones too. Wear some weighted clothing for an awesome cardio workout.
Beat Saber is a VR classic that is great for everyone with all ages and experience. With that being said, I believe Beat Saber is only full worth it if you mod your game to allow for custom songs, especially if you don't enjoy the edm style music that almost all of the base game consists of.
without mods i likely wouldn't play as the songs are not to my liking, but with them? Hot diggity damn, this made getting a VR headset worth it.
I'm an oldschool Guitar Hero and Rock Band player. When I started playing Beat Saber, I never looked back.
This is one of the simplest games to start playing, where it is easy for any player of any age, and a skill cap which is practically unachievable for humans.
Pure fun!
This is the only VR game which everyone honestly must own!
Love the updates and new music added constantly! Would really like to see some metal options though... *hint *hint *wink *wink 😉 (Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Upon A Burning Body, System Of A Down, Underoath, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Killswitch Engage, Dope (particularly-"Die MF Die"). Oh and a fun EDM one would be like the song, "Kneel Before Me" by Slander, Crankdat, Asking Alexandria
In no other game can you find yourself wildly flailing your arms to the beat of Ryan Ninja Family Kids Song (Official Video)
It's ok for a week or so as it is, but with mods and custom songs it is possibly the best VR game out there.
It's very fun and I have around 400 hours in it I have been owning the game for around three years but my Vr Headset broke and I recently just got a new one around 5 motnhs ago.
I think this is one of the best workouts money can buy. I love music and dance and while this isn't exactly dance it's close enough. I mean rhythm games that are not just push a button, but ones like this and Dance Dance Revolution are just ways to help people move in tight spaces. Thank you to the team for crafting such a fun game. Thank you for working to get new songs and thank you for let us add in some on our own. This is just a blast.
buy if you like being casually conflicted.
fairly entertaining to play because you get to flail your arms around.
also fairly scary to play because your controllers can break any moment.
Modding community is the best part about this game.
Beat saber is a really fun game, but it truly limits you in selection. Mods alleviate this, and honestly there's almost no song that you can't find. If you can't find it, you can always make it yourself with the mod folks providing the tools to do so OR you can request/commission said song.
Worth full price in my opinion.
You are legally required to own this game if you have VR uwu
Excellent with friends, especially when they make you play heavy metal songs that will make your wrists hurt in no time at all (no winky face here).
lots of fun if modded i wish they would find a better way to upload song packs without breaking mods and stuff like that but for a new vr user this is a no brainer
This was the game I bought a VR headset for. And even if this was the only game that I could play with that headset I would still be happy with the purchase. The base game and dlcs are great, but what really elevates it to one of my favorite games of all time is the incredible modding scene. If you like music, dancing, or games that get you in a flow state, this game is for you.
This game is very fun and a great way to get some exercise, but what the hell is this music they keep adding?! Billie Eilish, BTS, and now LIZZO? Who are they marketing this music to? 16 year old white girls? Seriously, the music they keep adding is absolute garbage. Give us some real music. Metallica, Demon Hunter, Aerosmith, Daft Punk, ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE GARBAGE THEY KEEP TRYING TO SELL.
Overall I give this game a 7/10. Sure the newer music packs are garbage but the free music packs ain't bad. After all there are some mods that allow you to download and play custom mapped levels and jam to some better music.
only good free song is i wanna be a machine by the living tombstone. Dont buy if you dont wanna spend more money on dlcs. You can mod- but i wont. also crab rave is free too- good workout so if you dont wanna get ur headset sweaty, then once again- dont buy it.
It's Beat Saber... what else is there to say? If anything, I just recommend using Mod Assistant and BeastSaber to get the best custom songs.
With mods this game is like 15/10 but without it's like 7/10. Without mods it's a very good game that is the embodiment of easy to learn but hard to master but there are only like 3 packs with decent mapping and without dlc it's kind of lacking in content. But the modded experience of Beat Saber is simply incredible, the community is awesome and playing ranked is really addicting. Overall this game is a must have if you have a vr headset and even more so if you have access to modding.
I think Beat Saber is the best game for VR, beautiful, fun and well structured, I highly recommend the purchase if you are a lover of rhythm games too.
its fun to hit blocks with swords to music
Its fun on OCULUS because you get to add songs and have avatars other than the Vr one
This is a great game for everyone! just a reminder that you need a (rift s) (oculus quest 2) (steam vr) or a (oculus quest 1)
Great and fun songs to play, but gets a bit repetitive at times. Downloading mods enhances the experience of this game, so overall, I'd say this game is great, never the less.
A great introduction to VR since who doesn't want to dual wield lightsabers and jam to music? I'm impressed by those who can dance along while slicing the boxes.
It's fun, it's challenging, and there are lots of good songs to play (even if you don't buy any of the DLC ones).
This game is amazing if you mod it if you have the game on quest and you are thinking of getting it on pc it is 100% worth buying again if you are going to mod
Lost 5kg already in one month, meanwhile I can visibly see muscle build up on my arms. Definitely worth every bucks.
mod it or dont buy it. this game is meh without mods
the base song choices are great, plenty of choices with a lot of variety in both music and difficulty.
the dlc choices are great too, my 2 favourites and the only 2 i have so far is the green day pack and lincoln park pack, both great artist with some of their best works within the pack.
although not publicly stated, custom songs/maps are available through beat saver, bringing even more options to what you can slice to while playing
Modern Guitar Hero. Highly addictive. I thought I bought this for myself, but I have to fight my wife and kids for who gets to play next.
I LOVE MUSIC AND THIS GAME HAS THE PERFECT BALANCE OF A WORKOUT AND YOUR FAVE MUSIC
I mean it's okay I guess
(ok fr tho this game is the only thing I do in vr now it's amazing)
I run every other VR game without any problems but the Steam version of this game runs better on a standalone quest 2 than a 3080. Seems legit.
I have had this game twice now the first time i refunded it because i didnt think i had what it took to enjoy it, but after giving it some time its one of my favorite past time and broadens your music taste a little bit makes you work up a sweat and try to reach that next lvl.
Since I play this game my movement speed increased by a lot. I now am able to rotate my arms so fast that i can fly like a helicopter. 10/10 would recommend!
Love this game it reminds me of the old games of simon says and bop it, but with light sabers lol the bad thing about it is the DLC as an old Person I know almost nothing about the artists so its not something i would buy , but i can imagine people that are more current on music might also enjoy the DLC also if you are out of shape or have a low ceiling area might cause issues lol
sad to see another company fall to meta
I kind of wish more songs were included, and that it could integrate with Spotify, so i could play my favourate songs.
There are mods for playing custom songs, which helps.
It's a great workout and it was my whole reason for buying VR :)
It's so addictive and fun that I got RSI... make sure your medical insurance covers physical therapy ;)
Pure sweat pouring down my face
Good rhythm game with a huge modding community.
If you get this, save your money on the DLC and mod the game to get custom songs for free and that a lot more fun to play.
this game will make you sweat like a pig, 10/10 would recommend
One of the best games ive played, definitivly worth buying.
This game made me sweat more than going for a jog does.
Fun game, great exercise. definitely recommend adding custom songs.
I love music and this game has it 10/10
I haven't been successful at motivating myself to exercise until I started playing Beat Saber. Beat Saber makes exercise fun, especially if you love music. There is a active community of people that create maps to different songs that you can download online. I currently have over 1,000 Beat Saber maps/songs to choose from.
Great game.
Beautiful graphics.
Very high skill ceiling and low skill floor.
Overall outstanding, if you plan on playing quite a bit you should definitely get mods.
i can now defend myself against my father using sabers
I ain't got enough room to play without modifiers, don't wanna break anything, but otherwise its a big recommended from me ;)
Edit: Grammar
wish there are more custom maps, not enough
great fun and a pretty good cardio work out
My father passed away on May 16th, 2021, due to the negligence of another driver, and two days later, my cat of 20 years was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Needless to say my mental state in the following weeks, months, and likely years to come - was and remains, at times, questionable.
Without giving away too many spoilers, the character is given two sabers.
This game was a lifesaver when that character was me.
Once in a while something pops out that's perfect in every way. Beat Saber is one of these things.
Generally the first game i introduce people to when i introduce them to VR. Stupidly simple controls that anyone can get the hang of, and an absolutely stunning amount of mods to boot. Best rhythm game ive ever played.
This game is great for practice for that Right Hand motion constant repeat and helps me with lasting a little longer!!
This Game Is Amazing And Fun And Stuff.
I will never get bored with this game 💙
I have almost reached my goal of speed running carpal tunnel achievements:
- ACC Champ, check.
- Top 600 worldwide, check.
- Had my left wrist in a cast for a week and a half, check.
- Able to get through 1 minute of Ov Sacrament, check.
- Turned my wrist joints to jelly doing wrist rolls, check.
- Arm wrestle champ amongst my friend group, check.
- Excruciating pain in my extremities, only a little atm, uncheck.
- Can't go more than a few hours without thinking about playing, check.
irrational hatred of oblique cuboids
Tried the demo on the Occulus.
Bought it on PC due to being able to expand things.
Easy to lose track of time and enjoy!
It's a very fun game, burns some calories, what's not to like?
Best game to ever get for VR!! This game is great for people who wanna get into VR and for people who wanna just have fun and take a break from all the first person shooting games. Playing some songs like "Angel Voices" by Virtual Self gave me the feeling when I saw Porter Robinson play live at Red Rocks. Even "Test Me" by Dion Timmer & Slushii does give me that feeling when I saw Dion Timmer Play live at 1st Bank Center. Honestly this game feels like a rave game with all the lasers and flashing lights going around but it's so much more fun with movement and the beat of songs. It doesn't have to be all the up beat crazy EDM songs it can be any song of any genre of your choosing! With that being said you can get mods with this game but however this game does not have the steam workshop. So you do have to download a mod assist tool which many people don't feel comfortable doing because many are wary about what goes on there computer. I wish this game does have the Steam Workshop support so there's no middle man to get custom songs in the game. Some people say that this game can help you burn calories and I do find that to be true but its not that much and is just a couple. Yes the game makes you do a lot of movement but its movement that I don't find to be all that tense mainly because I do more intense movement at my job at UPS and the gym. So I wouldn't really call it a workout game because it really isn't and is really a rhythm game than anything. However besides all that, this game is a must have when ever it goes on sale or you have the money to for it, it's fun for everyone! 10/10 would recommend again!!!
The best VR game available at the moment. It is tons of fun, great graphics and very responsive.
This is just perfect for getting a daily workout in! Great Job!
POGGERS GAME BETTER THAN AMOG US AND FORNTITE AND PUBAGI AND APECS LEDGINDS
it's good
Zuck please stop updating the game so I can stop updating my mods
Mod makers/maintainers, you're the real ones

Oh and suffice to say, the #1 must-grab for anyone with a VR setup.
Very good game if you have an avarge pc like me it would work fine but sometimes sabers could lag (i have a ryzen 3 2200g 144hz moniter and 1080ti)
Nearly at 4 Hours already within having the game less than 24 hours. ill give you an update when its at an insane amount.
I can't feel my Arms.
Good Game.
The stock vanilla game is already great considering the constant updates, combined with the community getting bigger and bigger, it will make Beat Saber more fun. NO w the modding community is probable the best community I have ever seen. They get an already amazing game, and makes it 1000000x better.
Amazingly great way to exercise while having fun. You can also show off your skills to friends, family, and even yourself by practicing just a small bit each day or week. There are great songs that are fun to jam or dance to, and it's well-known.
Who would have knew this is like therapy. Just imagine red as your ex and blue as your "friend" and it immediately starts to feel amazing.
Interesting, love the haptic feedback. Consistently updating. Easy to use mods and seemingly endless song list.
One of my favorite VR games.
These games are awesome because of the way they use the mechanisms of Virtual Reality and the controllers.
It is not like other games that are not really made for VR, where you have to use your controller stick to move.
The fact that in beat saber you are just standing cutting blocks with a lightsaber makes it good enough to make it so cool.
As a rhythm game veteran, Beat Saber hit me on the first glance. The performance and boot time of the game is great and makes for perfect pick-and-play action. The gameplay is responsive and satisfying. Instant access to leaderboards makes replayability virtually infinite. 5/5 will be playing for the years to come!
The first game to make me fall in love with vr.
