Well...... Very arcady!! If you want a good forklift simulator, then spend your money on Forklift Simulator 2019. That is 10x better than this. This game is still fun though if you just want it to be simple! If you have driven or work with forklifts, then take the other game.

the only thing that is bugging me after playing this game is the controls wont stay in place with the wheel, it does work after a while of fiddling with them for a bit

please fix it and i will review it again :)

Really good game. It has wheel support. I suggest you use the PXN steering wheel to get real feel for a forklift experience. This is the only good forklift stimulator out in the market, if any one wants a real stimulator than this is the game to get. There are no bugs and the steering and functioning forklift of tilting, raising forks and moving around doing sharp turns is similar to that of a real forklift. There are no real complaints. It helped me train to use a forklift.
I do hope the creators of the game in the future could add a standing forklift stimulator and a cherry picker stimulator because they operate differently from a sit down forklift like adding a dead man brake system and allow the user to strap themselves on a cherry picker forklift to be lifted to put items onto a pallet. Maybe make it a deluxe version and charge more but its not needed.
I would say this is the exact game that I was looking for which is a stimulator. The creators of the game are heading in the right direction and have created the perfect forklift stimulator game. They just need to add more levels like adding different warehouses to it for it to be complete game that is marketable on different systems. But for me the few times I played it with a steering wheel with pedals was enough for me to learn how to operate a forklift.
One little bug that the game did have was that if you looked backwards and tried to steer the forklift would steer in the opposite way of the wheel but it wasn't a big issue as long as you didn't look back but backed up looking forward.

Very good game. Fun, simple, and difficult at times. I had a blast using my Xbox 360 wired controller with keybindings that are setup much easier for me. That being the rising the forks and tilt. I had to switch those. Other than it is a great game. Controls are nice and physics could be better such as boxes spilling everywhere. Too bad the game is short with the amount of missions it gives you. It would be cool if it had a co-op option. That would be fun trying to not ram your friend or have AI if the levels were designed to be much bigger.

didestne4224

very good game I would recommend it, the only downfall is limited missions for now and it is not supported by a wheel (maybe later). all driving games should have wheel support, that could make the difference between a good game and a great game.

At first glance this looked promising but for one who allready has this licence IRL and have been playing fs22 this is not at all close to reality. Finding out controls are weird, strange and not completely customizable either on mouse and keyboard or xbox one controller, I did not bother trying the g29. The truck in this game is alot harder to control than IRL because its slow, uncontrollable and controls are not effective or right at all. I had a simple and perfect control scheme in my mind when I bought this but I was not able to change the controls to something drivable. My guess is that the devs who made this have never tried a forklift IRL or something close to it. I really had some hopes up even for a single player game but this is a refund for me. If you want to forklift go buy farming sim 22 instead.

“Best Forklift Operator” is a simulator that honestly lives up to it’s name. I bought this game after chatting with a friend and it’s been fun to play.

The controls were easy to learn / use, Gameplay can be challenging but at the same time if you pay attention to what you’re doing, you can remove some of the challenge by moving scene pallets around. The graphics are pretty realistic while slightly stylized. Music is calming and nice to listen to.

If you want to experience what it’s like to drive a forklift, then this game just might be for you too.

It's a really relaxing, but still a little challenging game. Perfect for both short fun during listening to podcasts or something, but also for longer sessions. Plus the price of the game is more than good for what it offers - recommended!

Had a blast playing. You are doing simple stuff in-game and there is no real feeling of rush. But it's a ummm. Idk how to explain it. "Satisfying" is the word, perhaps. And you actually feel like you accomplish something. Wish I have a VR headgear but I'm broke AF. Does anyone need a kidney? I got two. A bit used but still functional.

Perfect game to play when you don't know what to play. And that is a complement. We all have 9837456734 games in our libs that are only gathering dust and rotting on the great pile of shame and lack of time. But this one you can play in short burts, whenever. And that is exactly what I needed.

I would never have guessed I would be playing and enjoying a video game about driving a forklift but here we are. I've been trying different simulation games and saw this randomly in my feed and decided to give it a try. Physics are fine and seems realistic as far as I can tell. The gameplay appears trivial at the surface but gets quite tricky and requires some thinking about which cargo to carry in what order, where and when.

The game's fun but the fact you earn money gives a nice feeling of progression and it's just soooo hilarious to unlock new colors for vehicles and drive a huge, 30 ton heavy pink heavy forklift. (Even though I haven't been able to yet) And the game has an extra layer of entertainment that is not obvious from the start - which is playing it like a physical sandbox, trying to stack as much cargo in a tower, or do some other silly things.

I have had some issues though. I play with a controller and learning the controls were a bit jarring. I'm used to traditional vehicle controls. (one trigger goes forward, the other goes in reverse) Instead, clicking left thumbstick shifts you into a forward movement or reverse. Aside from that, everything felt fine. I was using an old Xbox one controller which has a very sensitive thumbstick which added more challenge which is obviously unintentional. But I had a lot of fun regardless. And I felt a lot of satisfaction when completing a goal.

TL;DR money well spent.

ChadDoggo
ChadDoggo

Incredibly addicting, but in a good way. The only complain I have is a very basic customization of the vehicles. Unlocking new colors is fine but I would prefer to be able to color each part or at least areas. And what about stickers or that fluffy dice?

Great game from great people. I wish all developers would be as communicative and I must say I love how the developer utilized the Early Access model. Come with a game, fact-check it again community, fix bugs, add content, and release. All wrapped in a matter of months not YEARS. I hate perma-EA games...

IceT
IceT

Absolute lack of NPCs breaks the immersion a bit but I understand how many design problem that could cause. Maps are nice and cozy and the open spaces are, by far, the best. Vehicles models are very detailed and loyal to their IRL origins. Works flawless in both VR and non-VR - even on my 3 years old laptop. Haven't encountered any bugs or glitches, which is an achievement for a Early Access game. Pallets with goods and cargo acts differently and you can tell and feel they are different (but, mind you, they do not break, in a visual way), same goes for vehicles. Overall a damn fine simulator game. Looking forward for future updates.

It really made me appreciate the work of all the forklift drivers around the world. Lift stuff from here, drop it there. How hard can it be, right? Well, it can : D But that's part of the fun.

I never had experience with forklifts before and I must say this game teaches you a lot. Had no idea about the axis at the back, or that you should lean the fork toward you when driving, or that there are only 3 gears or that the wheels have no dampers! Quite educational.

Previously I thought it's like a 'losers job' that anybody can do. I take back my previous thinking and I pray to Forklift Gods for forgiveness. D:

OJEZU MAJKI
OJEZU MAJKI

Solid physics, nice models, and good driving model. Even without virtual reality - it is quite immersive. What breaks the immersion a bit is how... 'clean' everything looks. Trust me when I say - warehouses are never this spotless. There's garbage everywhere, people walking and running, oil spots, tire marks, and everything. And that would be my only complaint.

Two things.

The joystick for raising the forklift cant be grabbed at neutral. If the fork is raised, the joystick will automatically start lowering it the moment you grab it, regardless of how you orient your hands, which, by the way appear as two left hands for me.

The other thing is that near every time i try to switch to Drive from Reverse i end up hitting the reverse button again. These two things alone make the game incredibly annoying to play, which is a shame, because its a worthy game when it cooperates.

Looking forward to updates and improvements.

I don't want to return this. I want to play it, but I can't get it to work. The game says that it supports motion controllers, but mine don't work at all(I'm playing on Quest 2 over Airlink)I even busted out my Xbox controller, and that works, but not in vr. Maybe Quest 2 isn't supported?

I must say this game was frustrating at first but once you get the controls down, its easy peasy lemon squeezy and a whole lotta fun. Relatively short for now but very addicting, Can't wait to see what the developer does to make this game even better. Kudos to the developer for the controller only controls, I know this game gives you the option to use your in game hands but I found and loved the controller only controls, it made the game soooo much more enjoyable and less frustrating. Keep up the good work.

Bough the game out of curiosity. It is surprisingly addictive. I mean, sure this ain't no Witcher 3 or Elden Ring but... you just keep playing. You pick up the cargo, you drop it elsewhere. Look around. Think what's the fastest route. And boom - you check out your real clock and over an hour blitzed past you. I know it might sound weird but it's incredibly relaxing and satisfying.
Damn. Now I wish I have a real forklift in my yard.

Dev thought 1080p as max resolution in a 2022 game was good enough, uhh?
No 21:9 support.

Fix above and I'll flip review to recommended.

update: the devs have been awesome in trying to help sort out the issue. The newest upadte seems to have worked. I have run throu the whole tutorial and mission one without crashing so changing my review. The steering is a little sticky using my quest 2 but that could just be a tracking issue. overall its a great fun game so far.

playing in vr on quest 2. played demo without any issues and loved it but now i have paid for game all it does is crash. i cant even get past the first pallet in tutorial without it freezing then crashing back to steam. when it loads it has started without my hands.

As a game (in VR), this would be a lot more fun if I could steer with the left stick, forward with right trigger, reverse with left trigger (no shifting), and control the lift with the right stick. As it is now, it's far too cumbersome to be fun.

Never really understood the appeal of forklifts, but thanks to this, I have opened my third eye and reached enlightenment. I don't ever review games but after an hour of pure bliss in VR, it would be a crime to not say anything. Genuinely the only VR simulator I've actually enjoyed.

REJRO

I bought it and i like it. I am waiting for more stuff added. For now i would like to see more stering options, like left and right on forks. Meybe some missions where you dont need to put pallets in assign place, but only in a big marked area. On loading trailer its a little tricky when you take random palette and its marking you the spot for it on back of the trailer and next one you choose should be behind the first one.

Waiting for future updates :D

Initial play session recorded here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giVDQ8TO7Ic

As of the time of writing I've done the tutorial, had a muck about in the free-roam mode, and then done the first mission in career mode. I am so sold on this! It's got everything I love about a good VR sim. Everything feels scaled right, it's got a fully-interactive "cockpit", everything can be done "hands on" with your controllers.

Some games take a while to grow on me, some are instant love. This is instant love.

That said, it's not perfect: placement of the in-world joysticks mean it's all too easy to grab the wrong one when you're not looking, and they could sort of do with some sort of dead-zone so they don't start doing their thing when you first grab them, but this could also be me just needing to develop some skill and muscle memory.

One thing's for sure: when things do go wrong it's hilarious.

If fun sims with full VR interaction is your thing, this is a big recommend.

Tried quite a few Forklift simulators and this one is by far the best, in fact its the only one that's not terrible. The graphics, sounds and physics are all good. I've finished the first set of 6 missions, there's another set i've still to try and another set after that which is labeled as future. The variety of tasks to great, there is only so much you can do with a fork lift and you have to unload trucks, load trucks, clean the warehouse by stacking pallets on the shelf's, no mission is the exact same as the one before. there is also a career mode where you earn money by completing missions, and bonus money for completing them in a set time and with few bumps, with that money you can get a new forklift. I'm sure the game will only take a few hours to complete but the dev does appear to be listening to the community with new ideas and im sure there will be plenty added in the future. highly recommend 9/10

I like the idea and enjoyed what I experienced so I don't want to give a negative review, but unfortunately no 1440p or 4k support at the moment, I tried 1080p which was giving me a headache because of the screen stretch, I tried in windowed and the game looked nice, I've requested a refund, but I will be keeping an eye on the development and will purchase again when more support is added, I recommend you try it if you have a 1080p monitor though.

Before this game I was a struggling alcoholic, unable to support my kids and with a wife who was only my wife because she couldn't afford to divorce me.

After this game, I have become a sigma, I work eleven shifts a day as a forklift operator thanks to the training I got from this game.

UPDATE: I have morphed into Walter White from the popular show 'Breaking Bad' and I am now the owner of a forklift operating mafia, we make crystal blue forklifts and I have one of my old students, called Jesse Liftman working for me as a senior forklift operator.

UPDATE: I recently gave birth to half a baby and we called her David

Great and Simple Game! , Really easy too understand nice features, etc. I really would like too see bigger maps (ofc) , and maybe higher placed cargo! I worked in a warehouse with forklifts and sometimes we had cargo 12/20 meters high maybe a new challange too add? :). And is maps/levels outside a idea, with more fragile cargo( 5 pallets ontop of each other stacked ( loose). And maybe dark/weathery(outside with rain)(with a closed cabin) , maps where u need too really use the lights/wipers on the forklift for a extra challange!

First Impressions:
What I do not like:
* Timed challenges go against my forklift training and how my employer operates their warehouse. Forklift operating is about safety, and making sure products do not get damaged. Having rewards tied to speed does not make a whole lot of sense in my opinion because it pushes the player to take risks. For a game it is OK but for a simulator, I disagree with the decision.
* Storing requirements for the pallets are inconsistent and lack clarity. I find myself placing a pallet into a truck or shelf normally but the game wants me to store it facing another way. I would not mind that requirement if the game did a clearer job telling me how a pallet needs to be placed. Instead of white outlines, there could be a red indicator letting me know the pallet is facing the wrong way while it is on my forklift.

What I do like:
* Key binding options.
* Good tutorial. I understood how to play the game within minutes.
* Fun game play. I wanted a forklift game and this delivers.

I look forward to seeing the future updates, especially the arcade mode. Community maps and missions would be a fun feature. If the things I do not like about the game are fixed / mitigated, then that would be great.

**I already left a review for this game, but I'll update it since it was updated recently**

Developers, I have 4 criticisms:

- whenever I grab the left lever to move the forks, the default starting position for the hand moves them down, as opposed to being neutral
- a huge pain in the neck was not being able to drop pallets off in either orientation, I had to waste time turning them around
-̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶t̶i̶m̶e̶s̶ ̶I̶ ̶h̶a̶d̶ ̶t̶r̶o̶u̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶f̶i̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶p̶a̶l̶l̶e̶t̶s̶/̶d̶r̶o̶p̶o̶f̶f̶s̶ ̶-̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶n̶i̶c̶e̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶w̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶m̶o̶r̶e̶ ̶v̶i̶s̶i̶b̶l̶e̶,̶ ̶s̶a̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶o̶r̶a̶n̶g̶e̶ ̶h̶o̶l̶o̶g̶r̶a̶m̶/̶a̶r̶r̶o̶w̶s̶ ̶i̶n̶s̶t̶e̶a̶d̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶w̶h̶i̶t̶e̶
- the game isn't long enough :>
- the controls for forward/backwards aren't laid out very well - the buttons look pretty stupid and I found myself accidentally putting the forklift in reverse last night as I was moving my hand from the drive button to the fork controls

I earned a counterbalance certificate a while ago and this was a great way for me to remind myself as well as polish off my skills. Thanks for making this, I had fun.

I LOVE THIS GAME, I would like to see more different type of pallets. The second forklift that is available to buy has a really sensitive speed, whenever your change into reverse and press the gas it moves like a tesla! I would also like to see a camera that doesnt have restrictions, where I can zoom in and out and rotate the camera to where I need it. Awesome game! This one caught my eye right away, and I usually don't write reviews but I just felt this one deserved some words. For the record, I'm someone who very much enjoys the monotonous simulation tasks within this genre of titles. Coming from ETS/ATS, Train Simulator and Farming Simulator(much better pallet physics found here).

Now on to the game. So far I'm really enjoying the experience that is offered here. Early access or not, this is just good. There is a huge margin for expansion, and don't get me wrong it is needed.

From a real world view on equipment, and obviously forklifts - there is a lot missing here. Everything is pretty basic in terms of functionality. Up, down, mast tilt and your standard forward and reverse, left and right. I know there has been plenty of talk about adding shift functions in the near future and they are already anticipating the release of a new machine on the road map so that's a positive. I have no doubts whatsoever that if this continues, we will see a lot more things implemented within the limitations of what this game can do.

The freight you will handle does have a good variety to it with various sizes and weights to lift and manipulate. I like that there is construction orientated pallets, along with food and refrigerated packaged goods and some random others thrown in the mix. This makes for a diverse loading experience and that is my high point here.

The game features a basic career/mission mode. You will pick up pallets, load/unload trucks and organise your warehouse. However, unfortunately there is very little freedom and you basically have to put everything where the game tells you. Don't get me wrong, its fun and satisfying. It really isn't very realistic though, and pallet placement feels very random. You would likely not be loading a truck in the way portrayed within these missions. Often times I felt I would have done things much differently. There is also the time aspect of these missions that feels very out of place. It's not a limit, just a bonus for completing tasks under a certain amount of time. Thankfully it can be completely ignored without much loss.

Please don't let that turn you away. You're freely able to do what you want within these missions. You will only need to move 6 pallets or so for your mission. But you should find many more in the workspace that you spawn into and you can pick up and place these pallets where ever and however you like, so long as it does not conflict with your missions pallets. I've spent about 45 minutes of my 2 hours played so far placing things where the game asked and the other 1.25 hours loading trucks myself with my freight of choice.

This is where the game really stood out for me. Stacking pallets, picking orders, loading the trucks freely, its really enjoyable to just do your own thing, a chill and relaxing experience. I found this to be most satisfying. I really hope the devs take this direction with future updates. I can of course appreciate the arcade nature of the current career mode. Its fun and well done, just not really my thing.

I think if I had to ask for anything, it would be a better labelling system for freight. Right now it is just a basic UI outline around the pallets you need to lift, and where they need to be placed. Some kind of colour code or work order menu or something to help you keep track of what goes where would be super sweet. Even better if you can create one yourself but I'm probably dreaming there. Secondly, a normal free play mode with random trucks to load/unload coming in and out without a time limit or anything.

Anyways, yeah its definitely worth it. So happy I found this title. Really hoping to see this keep expanding. Even if it didn't, I would still be playing it how it is. Good job devs, good solid early access title. Good performance, no game breaking bugs I've noticed yet and overall a great experience. Thanks for creating this!!

Great game.

I love how they add steering wheel support. Graphics and Gameplay is great! I just hope they will add more content to the Game! Good luck and I'm sure you have a very great future ahead.

This is a ton of fun using VR with a Thrustmaster T300 steering wheel, buttons were already set up I chose vr controls then set them down and wheel was working with pedals. I hope they get the thrustmaster Stick Shift to work so we can assign controls to that as well like raise and lower. I hope they add standing fork lifts as well.

So as someone who has operated actual forklifts it feels pretty good. Steering feels like it did and handles correctly when a pallet is added. i played in vr and only have a few minor complaints. The joysticks are a bit finnicky to grab and i found myself grabbing tilt a lot when i wanted to lift instead. The lack of a side shift is kinda bothersome cause you now have to be super precise when approaching a pallet. I also personally would rather levers for the lift controls rather than the joysticks provided so maybe add a feature to switch between preferred options since i never had a lift with joysticks. Also on oculus the left hand Y and X buttons dont do anything so maybe add to switch directions on those since thats where the gear switch is anyway rather than on the right. overall though pretty good 4/5

very fun but just not a lot of content

My only gripe is the physics and hit boxes of the pallets seem to be a little weird, but other than that. Forklift Certified Approved.

As another reviewer stated, the idea of a timer goes completely against every safety guideline that all forklift operators must follow. That is how you make mistakes, that is how people get hurt/killed, and that is not the kind of person any employer would want driving a 5-ton or more death machine. I work at a Home Depot, and we have heard of at least 3 accidents involving safety violations with forklifts, ALL of which ended someone's life. This should have never been a mechanic in a SIMULATOR.

The controls actually make sense, contrary to what others say. You don't hold the brakes in to go backwards, so why would you in a sim? You have to actually switch gears in real life, so it makes sense to stop, switch gear, then move. I would just like a more controllable camera that isn't fixed to my backrest height.

This is a very nice sim, and I've wanted one of these for fork drivers for a few years now, but with that huuuuuge safety issue and this being a simulation, I cannot in good faith recommend this title.

I was a forklift operator for 2 years and this game is about as close as you can come to driving a forklift.

Impressive forklift sim; a truly uplifting experience. Controls how you would expect. KB + M works great. I must say my thirst for moving pallets is palatable. More variety in locations (only 2 so far), forklifts (only 2 so far) and cargo (a handful, where are the barrels?!? Also I want to make a mess if i mess up!) is all this early access title needs. Well worth your $20

You play BFO to be a forklift operator. I play BFO to not get fired as a forklift operator by breaking every known OSHA violation. We are not the same.

I know this is an Early Access game but it claims to have full controller support but can not handle my Logitech Saitek Heavy Equipment bundle and when I tried to change the controls back to default it lost the control settings for controls completely so that I can not change it to what I want. Other than that it is a cool game with complete physics simulation I drive this forklift at my work so I know how it works in reality but there is no gear switch (but a pedal to go in reverse) to change it to reversing on my forklift but it may be a different model.
If they can fix the control settings this game might be the best forklift simulator i have tried

For a game early access, it's pretty solid. A simple goal with simple controls. However there are some things that kinda ruined the experience however:

- The game does indeed recognize the steering wheel as in the last update, but it doesn't allow me to map my buttons.
- Challenges such as time put a lot of stress in a game that seemed to be meant for relaxing and also goes for security measures when it comes to use a forklift.

Suggestions:

- Work on the game's UI too look a bit more appealing.
- Actively work on improving the steering wheel recognition.
- Steam Workshop addition.

As a future feller that wants to be Forklift certifier, this game gives an insight of what the job could be, it has the potential but still needs some polishing. I give it a thumbs up because I had fun with this game nevertheless.

nope, not for me.
the throttle is nice and you have lot's of control but the joysticks are way too quick.
also, for some reason I have a hard time grabbing the left joystick, because it grabs the right one instead (same goes for 'drive' and 'reverse').
then the joystick, instead of being centered, it goes all the way forward when I grab it.
also having to grab the steering wheel the whole time, kind of hurts my finger.

so, when the most important things you do in this game, already annoy me, I won't continue playing.
sorry :-/

Been driving forklifts for a few years now, gotta say this feels very accurate to operating a forklift in real life. Like others have said the time mechanic isn't very realistic however it's just a bonus to go for and not necessary to complete the career mode. Loads behave how I would expect them to, and the controls feel very solid, only thing I'd like to see added is a shift control for when I'm putting something on a rack as it is now I have to turn to line everything up how the game wants it loaded which would be very nerve racking IRL. For early access this is a solid sim.

not a forklift operator, but i found this game surprisingly entertaining after rage quitting at a variety of FPS games, so if that's a common occurrence for you, highly recommended.

I was originally sceptical about buying this game, especially when I heard about the time trials. But later, having to race against the clock doesn't count in mission failure. Love the sandbox mode, just play around with the forklift is also fairly fun for me. Of the forklift games for VR on the market, this easily takes #1.

Tried to play it on Valve Index but had a lot of issues with the controllers. Was very difficult to actually grab the fork joysticks and when you did it would frequently start moving the forks before you wanted. On more than one occasion my hand would be over the lift joystick and when I squeezed, the controller would select the tilt joystick instead. Tried to change some of the inputs to see if I could overcome some of these issues but it doesn't appear to allow much, if any, customizing controller inputs.

If all that gets sorted out, I'd be willing to try it in VR again.

Not a great simulator. Ive been operating machinery for 10+ years and the physics are not good, makes this game frustrating

I do like this game, it is simple and i feel allot more content needs to be added but that aside its very relaxing to play in VR and if you have a steering wheel setup its even more fun, this is worth the money for sure and it seems every time i open steam theres an update for the game making things better and new content so thats really good
