Broken Hearts Island is a visually stunning fantasy visual novel that follows Christopher, an aspiring oceanographer, on a quest to solve a mysterious family curse. The game features a compelling storyline with bright and colorful artwork, enchanting characters, and an atmospheric soundtrack. However, it includes an optional "Nudity mode." This first episode promises a unique adventure on a magical island, with more to come in the series. If you enjoy visual novels and fantasy tales, this game is worth exploring.

I didn't realize what I got myself into when I pressed "New Game"... so much gore. Then I saw the developers other games and it all made sense.

I also made an Achievement Guide for the achievement hunters out there.

Welp, it has the Visual Novel tag, but I guess I was hoping for more actual gameplay. There's absolutely nothing so far except 2-3 dialog choices, and I get the impression they only affect the next few frames. The images don't change very frequently, so it's mostly just reading. The achievement for "playing" the prologue is titled BORING and well, it gives you backstory, but it's sure not exciting.

Edit: I sloughed through the rest of this, and it doesn't even have a proper ending, just say MORE COMING SOON and shows a #2, so are you expected to pay (albeit cheap) again for the next one? This is bullshit.

For its price, this is a not bad game, and maybe even a very good (depending on your preferences). Personally, for me, content that mixes sex and extreme violence isn't something that i can consume with pleasure and desire. But some people might like this.🫥
However, a very big disadvantage, for me, is the drawing, namely the brightness of the images. (Even not the low artist’s skill level. Seriously. You can always have time to sharpen your skills.) What is happening on the screen is so replete with colors that my eyes and head unironically ached. Therefore, if you suddenly decide to complete the game, then i can advise you to either turn down the brightness of the screen or the developers to turn down the brightness in the game itself. Because it’s simply physically difficult to watch what’s happening.😵‍💫
On the plus side: THERE IS A PLOT AND LORE HERE! Not very much yet. But i hope in the next chapters they will add more interesting information that doesn't break the logic and events of the game.
