Really stupid unbalanced anyoing game. There is one Enemy he an beam to your units, go through walls and make aoe dmg and crit. 1 hit every body is dead, and i loose the game all the way only because this stupid enemy.
And no update since a half year.
In short
Super promising, really addicting at the moment
For less than €8, definitely recommend
Some flaws gameplay wise and QoL wise too, but it is currently on sales for less than €8 so yeah, worth to try it out
The good
+ Tons of units
+ Tons of cards, relics etc
+ Challenging but quite fair (in most time)
+ Art style is pretty nice
The bad
- Lack of proper unit controls (i.e. no option to select X units)
- Some bugs? (check Discussion topic "Feedback for the future")
I expand more on stuff that could be improved/ are bugged out in Discussion topic "Feedback for the future"
Will update this review on full release
Tentative thumbs up. I'm having quite a bit of fun, but there is one fundamental underlying issue and I'm not sure there is a solution - it's impossible to tell how many units (or, often, even what kinds of units) you have on either side of the castle. Am I low on soldiers on the right or left? Do I need ranged units on one side more than the other? Who knows... your army is just a big mess of jumbled up pixels on either side of the castle with no way to tell how many of specific units you have or even what units there are when it starts to get messy. I'm not sure what the fix for this is, but it's a really big problem.
Despite how much i like this game, it is not balanced or actually enjoyable past the first inital *fun* ten minutes of the game. As you push further into more unbalanced enemies you will soon find your well built up tanks getting melted in under 3 seconds with no real explanation.
I am made it well into 3-5, but have been stuck on that level for nearly 8 hours of game play.
No real responses, feed back, wiki, or explanation on anything.
Save your $$ for when this game is on sale if you want to suffer through this.
Game looks good, but it is nowhere close to similar games like Ratropolis. CC contains game braking bugs, like no option to repair walls, lacks difficulty options, combos between cards are rather weak, etc. Obviously, it is early access, thus there is potential to change and fix above issues. I will check it once released from early access, but for now I do not feel like playing it is worth the effort.
it's a fun game but if you fail a level you have to keep playing it until you win from rng or give up, wish there was a way to get stronger in previous levels so we can face the harder ones with more skils and cards
You can see how it outgrew Ratropolis right now in Early Access because of many new aspects added and replaced.
Nice, sounds are decent, music keeps you going, graphics are nice and simple. Once you get used to the cards and combinations really good game. I'd recommend it for any card gamer :)
