A very cute and silly game where you play as a cat knocking down things as the central focus of the game. It's actually quite fun, though the difficulty scaling is quite backwards you start out as a weakling who can barely jump but after two levels of collecting every power up possible, there's almost no way you can lose subsequent games but it does give you a level of satisfaction when completing earlier levels in the main game mode. I would not recommend purchasing the game by itself however unless heavily discounted - the bundle is much more worth the money as the other game definitely has a different feel to it despite the basic premise of the game remaining the same. If you like cats, this is definitely a game you'll enjoy playing. The models of the cats are adorable and I love the photos of real cats also included as collectibles.
I was crying and it was my birthday so i bought a cat game on steam and i stopped crying and smiled :) thank you for this amazing game
I first played this game back when it was a free demo on a flash player in a web browser. It has since come such a long way and I'm very happy with the progress its made! It's a very fun and cathartic, having a very arcade-y vibe to it overall as you pounce, swat and smash your way through various houses and levels of destroyable kitty chaos. It also is very adorable, seeing human homes from the perspective of an itty bitty, belongings smashing kitty. Give it a try if you're interested! Just be warned that it likely does get boring quickly for those who aren't into exploring small-ish maps and knocking stuff off of shelves in either a (depending on your approach) chaotic or methodical manner.
Be cat, do crime.
Now I know why they like knocking things over all the time.
It's a cute game that you can pick up and play for an hour, but afterwards uninstall and never really bother going back to again. The only thing that will keep you coming back are the cute pictures of real life cats, but you can get that from /r/aww for free.
It can be suprisingly fast-paced action-packed on Objective Mode (timed), being equal parts strategy and player skill. It can also be very laid back on Literbox Mode (unlimited), where you can absolutely trash the map. Graphics are a little lacking, but there's a Remaster edition coming. Good game overall.
you knock shit on the floor to win 19/10
What you see is what you get. Procedure-generated levels change things up a little every time, but honestly it boils down to a single thing:
trash these places
Enjoy!
it's got cats, that's all you really need.
Fun but gets boring fairly easily.
If you love cats you will love this game of pure cat chaos literally you play as a cat destorying the household while everyone else is away with a lot of cat photos to discover and certain achievements unlock new cats really excited for the new version coming out but still find myself even now replaying this game whenever i get really stressed just a really fun game.
Great Game For When You're Bored!
Its repetitive but its so fun. I love absolutely ruining everything.
Cute game with fun and simple achievements!
Must. Knock. Everything. Off. Tables!
I love this. So do my kiddos.
Very cathartic, nothing quite like wanton destruction to unwind me from a long day
Yes I love being a cat. I am a cat. My name is cat. My age is cat. My favorite color is cat. Jeez, stalker..
just a fun and good all around game, love it. it's an awesome stress reliever!
pawsitively purrfect gameplay, nyot one to be missed
i love cats and this was fun that i got it and played it on here like a few years ago
It is good just very boring after a little bit if you find it on sale for like £1 then maybe buy it.
Good but gets boring very quickly.
possibly the cutest most wholesome 100 game ever!!!
This is what it's actually like to have a cat.
I am hard pressed on this recommendation. It is technically a fun game. You get to be a b*stard cat just like god intended. However the looping soundtrack and no locomotion movement is working against this game. I recommend getting it on sale for the meme. It's a fun game to pick up occasionally, especially if you have small children. However it loses it's appeal after about 30 minutes.
there's no reason not to super ultra hyper recommend this!! let me list the great things about this game because I'm too lazy to write proper paragraphs:
1. you can play as many different cats! cute cats with names and different colors and sizes
these cats are doing nothing but committing crimes ,,, when will it be enough ?!?! soon they will get tired of these petty crimes and move onto something greater and when that day comes don't say i didn't warn you..
Fun little time waster. Probably only worth it if you get it on sale though.
Definitely one of the best games I have ever played, Graphics are so good it really looks like you are a cat. A great experience.
The game is lighthearted and fun overall, I love the idea of moving around as a vengeful cat and breaking precious vases and toppling books. I like that you can use different cat models once you can unlock them. There are 2 gameplay modes, one for the laid back player and one for the player on a mission. This is a great time killer and I wanted to love this game fully, but I cannot.
The controls and camera need serious work. There are settings to tune the field of vision and change the camera speed, however that did not stop me from getting motion sickness for a second time in a row while playing this game at different times of the day. I started to get mildly disoriented and annoyed since the camera zips by too fast and is not stabilized. In the settings if you out the camera speed at the lowest, it will not turn at all (so the game can not be played in that condition). What makes matters even worse is that you have to keep turning the camera at specific angles in order to knock off the objects. Given that there are time constraints in the "objective mode" its very easy to suffer from motion sickness given that the camera needs to be moved constantly for every swipe, run, and jump that you make. I feel very nauseous as I type this review.
While the game can keep its original camera controls, it could also have another camera mode. The new camera mode needs to stay at a stable angle and only automatically change once an object is nearby. This can help prevent the motion sickness. Unfortunately this will be the last day that I play this game on my PC.
The game is really fun honestly, I like it a lot and that's why I wanted to play it more, and complete it.
But it's.. apparently really buggy when it comes to that.
Unlocking new cats is tied to achievements, but after getting every avaliable achievement I have not unlocked every cat due to glitches or whatnot.
And the final achievement is to unlock every cat, which is.. very annoying.
Really enjoyed the game up until this happening though.
EDIT: Changed the review from negative to positive cause, I just made a new file and got 100% once again, which was still fun.
So even if occasional bugs with achievements annoying, its such a nice game~
Love this game! I cant wait for the remastered version.
I can be a cat?
Heck yeah! DESTROY EVERYTHING
:)
haha u get to be a funny cat doin funny cat things like a funny cat does!!
This is so fun! It's silly, it's ridiculous. It can honestly get very zen.
Mindless fun, plus cats. It's got everything for everyone.
Fun little comfort game when you just need to catch a break. Best enjoyed with a cat on your lap.
The game is exactly as advertised: run round, destroy stuff, esentially ascend to godhood, then take a nap. Two game modes, sandbox and objective based level system. Runs smoothly, nothing breaks, haven't managed to get stuck (yet).
It is surprisingly fun considering that you technically keep doing the same things over and over. But random events and important objectives in the game give it enough purpose so it doesn't really feel repetitive (maybe after binging it a few hours on end) because you start looking for these objectives. Love the cat pictures everywhere, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I looked them all up after collecting them.
My only critique: It gets difficult to reach certain places after collecting too man jump upgrades - as in you just fly completely past the shelf because you jump too high. That can get a tiny bit irritating at times, but one can manage regardless.
Anyway, I understand my cats way better now, at least why they like to yeet things off the shelves. Certainly my go-to right now when I just want a little bit of fun while preparing for exams without committing myself to some story rich or generally time consuming game. The cat pictures are wholesome!
You play a cat. You knock stuff off of shelves and break stuff. it's hilarious and I accidentally played it for over an hour. Cute, probably doesn't have massive replay value though.
It's a cute fun little game about being a cat and knocking things over, It's a great stress reliever and very relaxing and satisfying, I recommend
So many funny things in this game, but my favourite things are pawsome. Like when u pause the menu it says "pawse" and other cute little puns. Legit best game for cat lovers 10/10!
Who the heck leaves a cat inside a supermarket or museum?
The charactercontroller isn't as smooth as it could be - the movement along surfaces is just a *little* bit choppy.
Otherwise the whole game is a smooth and satisfying experience. A nice way to stress out!
cat game makes brain say dopamine
Cute destruction! If you enjoyed games like Donut County or Katamari Damacy you’ll likely enjoy this game!
Catlateral Damage is a wonderful game, where you get to pretty to be a little kitty cat, wreaking havoc upon your owner's home, and other fun locations. It's just a wonderful sandbox type game, great for unwinding and relaxing as you wreak just a bit of mayhem, knocking to the floor books, papers, photos, and whatever else is laying around in the house. Controls are super simple, and overall it is just...great fun. I would highly recommend watching Griffin and Justin Mcelroy's review of the game, it is what inspired me to pick it up, and it's also hilarious. I would highly recommend reenacting their antics by playing this game with your friends on voice chat :D
Played this game when it was a cute little in-browser time-killer
When it came out in full, I was hesitant to buy it.
I HAVE NO REGRETS IN BUYING THIS-
I love this game to death, have since I bought it, I've literally gotten EVERY achievement in the game now, and play it any time I just need to relax and do something simple.
I'm not quite done with it yet either... I still have about 66 more photos to collect, and some objects left to discover... the bonus soda still scares me every time-
I have no doubts I will 100% this game about being a cat knocking things over.
You're a cat, you break everything. It's perfect 。◕ ‿ ◕。
Fun time-waster, and one of the only games I've managed to 100%. Worth the money, good clean fun.
This game is for people who wants a Cat but cannot have one due to certain reasons like Allergies.
You can cat. Do cat things. Meow. Sleep in box. Unlock fart cat. Can fart. Best game ever.
10/10
Meow!
This is my 'I had a bad day, and I need something brainless to do' game. 10000/10 would recommend
pros:
-so so satisfying
-nice to play while listening to a podcast
cons:
-kind of repetitive, could use more level variety
-I get slightly motion sick after a while
-I now instinctively knock everything off of my shelves and it takes forever to clean up
This feels like it would fit amazingly on an arcade machine
why does this game have a vr mode
Cat Simulator Pro, is cheaper than Flight Sim, and worth every bit of savings. I got to destroy a home and give zero cares. I have become cat. 10/10 buy it meow
Be cat, knock down everything. Buy now.
If you like cats and destroying things, this is the game for you.
Recommended for players who has LOTS OF TIME.
I can fathom how this has positive reviews. The clumsy controls makes it feel like you’re a 300 lb cat nailed to the floor, who can teleport but has cardboard paws. There is no “knocking stuff to the floor” your weak little cartoon limbs can barely interact with anything. This is a poorly made, ugly, incredibly tedious game. I’m upset with myself for spending $2 on it and even more upset with Steam for not granting my refund. This game shouldn’t even be listed on Steam.
Dont talk to strangers, ever since i was young ive been talking bangers
Really wanted to love it, but it gave me horrible motion sickness :( I also felt like the controls were a little clunky.
A fun game with a nice style to mess around in.
Soooo many chances to paw everything in sight & cause madness throughout different places ❀
LOVE LOVE LOVE this game. Fun little secrets and events, power ups and different cats to play as. aces
knock shit over, fun game, 7/10 buy when its on sale
Before I fully give my review I bought this game back in 2015 when seananners was popular and i was really into watching him. When he played this game, I was like thats cool ima buy it.
I like 100% games for fun and completion because of the challenge but this game I want to say its frustrating. It's not hard and I completed all the achievements in under 10 hours.
I do think what the developers did was really cute, they had/have a lot of cats/dogs. 260 to be exact.
The idea is there, the game play is ok, no story, no immersive enviroment. Simply and easy.
I recommend the game to anyone who wants to enjoy a simple cute game. Achievement hunting will be a pain in the butt. The last hour it was me just repeating the same things, same little cut scene in the beginning and the same objective each time.
Cons: Too much overwheleming color. The music and gameplay gets very repetitive. You don't keep any of the abilities you pick up; originally I thought those powers stay with you, like agility and it was based off of the cat you choose, but no that wasnt the case. Instead it refreshes after completing like 8 objective modes, takes you to the title and then all that hard work of filling up those stats were for nothing.
Pros: cute, simple to understand. Different cat options, Anyone can play.
For anyone struggling with the mouse achievement. Go into Litterbox mode, select the house option and put in this seed: 1957262312 (all credit goes to StiffTripple_X). Once you kill the mouse go back into the box and repeat until it's achieved. For anyone struggling with the photo hoarder (achieve 200 photos), I went into litterbox, museum. Repeated that til that was achieved.
Will I ever play this game again. probably not, not gonna even bother with it's remastered version because it looks exactly the same just a bit cleaner. VR, not gonna bother. 2022 the game doesnt glitch at all or barely.
Super cute game. You play as a cat, knock stuff to the floor and break things.
You play as a little kitty cat that knocks every single thing in it's sight over. There is literally nothing not to love about this game.
As for more serious comments, I think this is a game that might not be for everyone. I personally adore it, especially it's blocky, cell-shaded, 90s-esque 3D graphics. This game has tons of charm that makes even it's less forgiving parts hard to really get mad at. At least for me.
