Very fun to make a whole Colony with farms and Streets, the more science you do the more modern your Colony will look.
this game is really fun it might be hard at first but you can do multiplayer so you can play dont be like me dont be a lonly boy like me download, make a world and have fun
I got this game two years ago, since then, i have invested over 200 hours into the game. with that number rapidly increasing.
Originally, i spent around 100 hours playing, completed the game and ran out of things to do. However, now with the rapid updates and new Beta in testing, i have gotten back into the game about a month ago. already putting another 100 hours into it since then. I am fortunate enough to have been accepted to trial the new beta, and what is in store for the public is game changing.
I wholly recommend this game to others. You won't regret it
The game is Shite, its constantly not being updated and the dev is trash do not waste your money like i did thinking this was going to go any where, his latest idea to have closed beta testers was hilarious and a Hugh waste of time, thanks for nothing, i bought it when the idiot was hyping this BS .9 update that never happened........ RUN From This
Mining rock makes my ears hurt. Awful, awful sound effects.
Edit:
Figured out a temporary solution. Had to go into Colony Survival\gamedata\audio and replace the 5 stoneDeletex.ogg files with blank ones. Ears saved.. for now.
That said, the sound design here really could use a rework.
100% one of my favorite games, obviously very similar to MC as its a block game. but it is so much more, you get to create a living village, or city. and go through the struggle of keeping them alive by strategic building and guard placement. its basically like a 3D tower defence game where you build everything!
i have played this game awhile now and i love it but its just a little anoying how many things there is to do now but before the MAJOR update it was great. i recomend you get only if you know what to expect because its very different since draegast, icy and other youtubers have played.
Probably one of the most complex games I've ever played in my life. Although it's a little difficult to learn at first the game is very addictive and I can't stop playing. I do think a proper tutorial would keep players playing the game instead of just getting confused when they first launch the game. Other than that I hope they keep improving the game, I would also like to state how amazing the graphics are. It runs great and looks great
this game so awsome but need more jobs and updates and better animations and either use unity or unreal engine
If you're looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if you're looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place.
Ingredients:
1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2. 1/2 cup white sugar
3. 1/2 cup brown sugar
4. 1/4 cup water
5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
6. 1 pinch salt
7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2. Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside.
3. Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices.
4. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 (1-inch) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal.
5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie, coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
it is not working when i play it
Extremely fun game with freinds, Its kinda like minecraft but more automation and more focused on one thing while still being "sandbox". 9/10 fun if you have lots of free time.
A fun game that you could play for hours
I run a colony of imbeciles but I love every one of them
I like it. You should like it too. Dont Look Up!!!!
While some may instinctively compare this game with Minecraft because of its blocky nature, it is anything but. Colony Survival is an addicting tower-defense-style game where you protect your villagers from the zombie horde who are out to destroy your colony. Recruit villagers to help defend your banner (which is the core of your colony). Also have them help you farm, mine, craft, smelt, build, destroy... The key to the game is automation. These villagers are your lifeblood and you will get creative in how you design your colony around them. The scope and scale keep increasing as you progress through the tech tree.
My friends and I all agree this game is highly underrated and very addicting. I would definitely recommend if games like Factorio or Satisfactory are up you're ally. Perhaps if you're a fan of Minecraft redstone engineering as well.
If you like forcing 25 immigrants to dig a giant pit, fill it with blindingly white lights and plaster, fill it with more immigrants to work in a textile mill and seal it off from the outside world. Then this is your game!
I had several issues getting this game to install, had to delete and reinstall several times to get it to run, I got it running, left, came back and now when I try to load a game or start a new one the game crashes on spawn, reinstalling and integrity check did nothing. If I go online and check for solutions they all evolve around checking for specs on my computer. I have a flatout super computer, I can play 10 of these games at one time with max fps. without real support for the game all I can do is refund. There are tomany games out there
to deal with bs.
After playing the game for around 300+ hours at this point (also was one of the early players back then).
The game has taken a huge change on each major release, making it fun to start over with a new world.
I do too some extent agree with the negative reviews that, the game is a bit repetitive and might lack a bit of late game content. However, with each new realease i easily sink over 50-100hours in the game.
Its a game where you have to expand and defend, find your way to build a base ? are you building "Erabor", A farm town, or a fortress?, its all up too your, its fun to chase new hights, but at some point, I would like to go out and challange / fight other colonies. hope that gets added at some point
Also easy and fun to play with friends on multiplayers, where you can go different directions and trade with eachother if you need something. I think its well worth its money if you like games where you deal with Management, Building, Survival.
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
this game is great if you like challenges and survival and building. there is not much violence and should be fine for 8 and over. the game gets more violent as it goes. this game is challenging and great to play for hours on end. i have played about 150 hours total and am still no finished. this will entertainer anybody who is intelligent enough to play it. i'd give it 4.3 stars.
$19.99 is a little high in my opinion, but otherwise, pretty fun! I would request more effectiveness from the Night Guards and, when it rolls over to daytime, all zombies are killed unless that option is specified (It gets very annoying very fast to have to set up Daytime Guards because there are still zombies spilling in from the Nighttime. Destroys my colony pretty damn quick). But otherwise, I quite enjoy it. File size is pretty small too, and has multiplayer! 8/10, in my opinion!
brillant and addictive
just like ya mum
One of the best games i have ever played
it's fun...I had no idea I played for over 100 hours,
Do not turn on day monsters Worst mistake I've ever made
i never knew I've played 100+ hours until today.
the game has nice graphics. very addicting. has both multiplayer and single player. i found this game through youtube
jesse i break up with skyler and go to jane you go get skyler if you want
Tried to make my colony live entirely off of stone bricks. They all starved, and the few that didn't were eaten by reanimated corpses.
10/10, playing again tomorrow.
i will explain this game in 4 words
realistic minecraft with villagers
very fun and hard at the same time
if you like minecraft and you love making colonies. this game is perfect for you
bread.
Game will never be finished, we've had 200 friday blogs since the last update lmao. Save your money just install any minecraft mod which does this concept better
Its super fun and u get to build a entire empire !
I really like this game and the potential it has but I would suggest one thing, a better tutorial. The tutorial in the game is mostly reading but doesn't really tell you what to do, it puts you into a situation and expects you to know what you are doing. The tutorial tells you what to do but not how to do them, but maybe I just can't read. Other than that the game's amazing and I would totally recommend this to my friends.
pretty comfy, developers seem dedicated, decent progression, with a big update that improves everything on the horizon.
am a 39 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single farther to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game for Christmas in 2019 from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.
really good game although i wish it had a freeplay mode to it where you have infinite food and resources similar to minecrafts creative mode that would be a lot of fun!
I COULD NOT RECOMEND IT ENOUGH GET IT NOW
its really fun to play multiplayer
its great except everyone needs to pay 38 dollars to have colons dead sge
Good for calming game play if you set it to no monsters, and you can set it any time
I haven't checked the newest update yet, but I don't find interest in this game. It's kind of like if minecraft turned into a colonization game, or maybe Civ.
$20 USD is too much. Wait for discount at least 25%, if not more. This game is slow, doesn't reward the difference in twenty people shooting enemies or closing your wall off at night. There's no good way to build an overhang, and even then why bother with walls or a roof other than for the sake of building.
I do feel bad about the cat.
Edit: Do keep in mind this game is very active by the devolopers, any of this could be fixed, and when it does I have a good feeling about this game. This game just needs reason to put effort into anything.
DONT SWITCH YOUR RIGHT CLICK TO ESCAPE ITS AN ENDLESS CYCLE !!!
this game has a lot of creativity!
it combines minecraft and colony management in one game!
Picks up pace later in the game, but slow at first. Still really fun
I usually don't write reviews but I was so pleasantly surprised by this game I just had to.
For a start, I have followed this game for years humming and hawing about actually purchasing it but boy am I glad I did! I currently have a good 20hrs in and have barely scratched the surface because every time I learn something new I start over for better planning (or my colonists all got killed while I was AFK) but even with that it is a super fun game.
The game itself is very similar to early minecraft with the textures and activities and definitely just as fun. There are some UI things that could be addressed such as labeling things when you hover over them (might be a feature I did not see so sorry if it is) the resource management as well as colonists management is spot on and super fun in my opinion, and it allows for people who like to micromanage everything, as well as people who do not want to manage much at all.
This game, while still in developement, feels like a full game. I highly recommend.
colon survival
minecraft but you make the vilage
My Colony did infact NOT survive >:(
its fun
you should play it whoever you are
17 more hours edit
workshop is cool
so many wonderful hours spent playing this game over the years.
The only thing missing is blueprint support. But I think I saw some mods.
Really Really fun game
I can just recommend it
Yes there no animations for either the Enemies or the Colonists but thats fine
but little Minecraft / Colony Sim with the ability to turn off enemies for a couple of days to build a huge Fortress and then let wave after wave die at your MIGHTY WALLS !!!
MUAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHH
GLORY TO MANKIND
so yea
i give it a 9/10
Cool game Cool game, had lot of fun
this is one of those games that you just cant put down. Its not complicated , its easy to play and its fun!. I have several colonies over several servers and enjoy the game both solo and multiplayer. I even have my own friends only server where me and 4 others have built pretty much a complete world where all the colonies work together.
The monster attacks can be turned on and off, but when they are on its kinda like a tower defence game and can be really fun. This game is worth the money and its easily amongst my top ten games... i just keep coming back and no doubt will for many years to come
Fun game wish more stuff was added though
i like how it is simple but no to simple
I bought it a long time ago after seeing a youtube video. Finally decided to actually play it and its pretty fun.
after getting food working its really fun
easy traps to fall into that mean you have to restart your save, basic, clunky and unexplained mechanics, bad ai, boring and clunky progression.
This is the style of game I have been looking for, for a long time. Colony Survival is the best survival game I have ever played. I admit the beginning can be a bit slow when you are trying to figure out what to do, but once you figure out what to do it is a very fun game. I definitely would recommend, worth the $20.
Verry fun game for the money dammm
The game is amazing! quality is pretty good the survival part of the game is what makes me play it and you can build almost anything (with the blocks right now)
its a fun sandbox minecraft style game with strategy and automation. Its fun to build, but also get your colonists to build and dig for you. Its a ton of fun creating while trying to keep your colonists safe and happy.
Great game if you like tower defence, base building and rts games.
Although the variety of blocks you can get is a little limited, the graphics and npc mechanics make up for it substantially, nights can get challenging if you have improper defences and it can feel ego inflating when defeating a massive mob of zombies right outside your small castle.
8/10 Would command an army of farmers again.
It's a fun game but would be more fun with friends. If it included furniture and more blocks to build with, that'd be awesome. We need more variations of zombies as well.
I Love it, i truly Love it, as often as i can 143.3 hrs within the last two weeks /5,105.0 hrs so far on record and (4,819.2 hrs at original review time), I've played it since 2018, it's well worth the price
This is definitely a game for a specific type of person. Probably the same person who would've been way too into ant farms if they had been born a couple decades prior. Regardless, I am one of those types of people.
Gameplay-wise, it is exactly what one could expect, there aren't any surprises there. And, again, made for a very niche audience. That's fine though. If I had to describe it, its somewhere in a mix of Rimworld, Minecraft (not just because of the design), and Civilization. Its very micromanage-y, down to the point where I spent a solid thirty minutes why a colonist wasn't taking what I had assumed was the optimal path and kept taking the stairs to another layer and then walking over. I never figured it out but you get the point. It is very easy to get lost and immersed in playing the role of these little guy's sole arbiter and basically parent. Except the daytime guards. I hate them specifically and no, I don't know why.
Criticisms for the game are a bit sparse, as I have mentioned at least a couple times now, this game is what it is trying to be. And it does a very good job at being that.
However, and this is a fairly big thing, I would not recommend this game for those with more budget PC setups. I have a setup that I feel pretty confident in, but it begins to make fairly alarming noises when I try to run any type of ambitious colony. Turns out when your CPU is trying to figure out pathing for like 400+ entities (not even mentioning the zombie pathing), it is Not Very Happy.
Its probably a good tool for judging your setup though.
Early access game that only receives blogs. It's been a year or two since they actually updated the game. They only blog about random things.
There is content for the price here, but only god knows when they will actually finish the game in between their hundreds of blogs. Games like these are why I do not buy early access anymore. Devs these days seem to develop a game slowly over a decade and never give a real answer on when the game will be complete. Tired of buying a game to Alpha/Beta test for them. They never give a "definitive" answer when asked for a completion date/time/idea.
I had not played this game in years, came back to check it out, nothing had changed. I decided to look for new updates and all I see are... blogs...
This is a very good game. Dont get mad if your laggy, bc its high(ish) quality and you cnan turn the graphics down.
GOOD GAME 100 MORE HOURS TO GO
very good very nice, very good very nice
I made a colony and finally made it to 100 colonists, then the higher level zombies spawned and destroyed my hours of hard work,
10/10,would get punished for using constructors again.
vary good best with more people
This game is great, kind of like minecraft but you get minions to do all the things for you while you progress
Thirst and Starvation Simulator 2022
one of my favourite games. but there are a few things i would like to see added to the game.
zombies dont know the entire world as soon as they spawn, they can see have to see light from torches (or when its day time they can see everything perfect) and they can hear where their next target is (digging, bows, slingshots and other few things will make a small amount of noise, and zombies can hear it if they are nearby, but gunshots will alert every zombie in a large radius making them hear and see better.) if a zombie hears something, it will travel to a 90 degree radius of where the sound came from, and 45 if they are alert. also, the sight feature for the zombie makes it so that it can also go the wrong direction in a maze.
i also think there should be a fort banner, which is a banner but not as expensive as making new colony (but still pretty expensive) and only covers a small area which doesnt count as a new colony but part of a chosen colony (i havent made it very far in the game but from what i know i think it was possible to make new colonies in one world) and it will be useful for making forts to help distract and kill some zombies helping to protect colonies.
also ik how making games is difficult so you can take your time
ready your big brain for this game
Awesome game. I love it. A minor bug I've noticed is that the game won't let me place a Miner with the command tool, the thing is always a red arrow. However, the game is amazing and I recommend it to anyone who ever wished they could control a village in Minecraft, or really just to anyone who plays Minecraft. (Minecraft is one of four video games I played before I got this game.) So, great job devs, high-five!
UPDATE: The problem with that bug was that miners can only be placed on dark gray stone and ores. That's not a bug, it's intentional. Forget what I said about there being a bug. I do wish you were able to see yourself in the third person, so maybe add that, devs?
Realy fun game very simalar to minecraft
Pretty fun, tedious and takes some getting used to, but fun. Long way to go, but im a fan of the direction its headed and the game is without a doubt fun as is.
This game is very fun with friends
Its better to play with friends but still a very good game
it is very mideveol and i recomed playing with a friend.
Its a fun game for players who like minecraft and colony making games. It is a bit of a slow grind, but it is totally worth buying.
This game taught me the fundamentals of starting a colony, so with this knowledge I will create a new country
- Bought the game a while ago cause it looked fun
- never played it and wasted the money
- Came back to get my moneys worth
- Finished all achievements
- Had a blast
- Would recommend
This is a good game that I’ve enjoyed for over 40hrs and I will continue to play it
It is very fun, and for the price it is definetly worth it
My game is legitamatly haunted by a czechoslovakian berry farmer he even made my friends game crash
it is a very creative game with lots of features and a great way to kill some time with friends
Really fucking good game but barley and wheat farmers need there farming and planting speed increased as you need somewhere around 4-5 wheat farmers per 2 berry farmers and 2 grind stone workers and two bakers which is just enough to slowly increase your food and you would need 5 barley farmers per chicken coup as they consume Barley very very fast but other than that it is a good game and you should get plus the updates are pretty good
fun game needs some strat but still fun
Its perfect for people that like tower defense games and RTS but in first person
great hopefully more updates to come
Love trying to make the largest most efficient colony while also trying to make it look good. Focus on building if you get bored during the grind phases. This game is best for those that like minecraft but always wanted more NPC's to work for you. The developers are constantly updating the game and adding more content, so the depth of the game is always increasing.
I received an idp.generic warning message from my Avast antivirus. I deleted it and re-downloaded it from Steam and received the same exact message. Sounds like this game might be infected with something.
I love to chaninge to stay on top of the zombies.
i played this a while ago and a small part of me wants to try the game again but it just...feels very lacking, I hope to see the game gain some more depth as I truly want to like it.
Build a city and defend it from zombies, one of the most fun games ive played even with how simple the idea is.
Play it or you will experience less happiness, and eventually heart failure.
Be the king of your own colony, build it up and have your subjects mine, dig, farm, and build for you as you cultivate your colony to make it grow bigger n bigger and more advance as time goes by. survival mechanics is with your colony, they need food to live, and at night, day, or both based of your choosing you can fight zombies, or decide not to as you survive against the hordes of the dead forgotten colony's that fell long before yours. the only major thing with this game, is being more of an idle game, your kinda just waiting around doing nothing as your people stock stuff up as you wait for each day to pass to give you colony points and your people to get you resources you need to build stuff for progress your colony, but its a chill relaxing game if you play with no zombies and decide to simply build for fun and to relax. pretty good game otherwise.
In my opinion colony survival is a great game which brings together minecraft building, simcity themes (managing colonists, jobs, beds etc) and of course the monster defense genre. However this game should not be 39 dollars. That is a huge amount of money for a game which doesn't look like a 15 dollar game and has at most 35-40 hours of gameplay before your just making stuff or you make a new colony. I understand from the dev blogs that they are still trying to figure out ways to make things to do after you finish your focus tree.
In my opinion I think the devs should just add more to the focus tree and get into the gunpowder age more and even get into machinary.
Checklist of all the things for them to make the game better (In my opinion)
- make everything take longer
- ai should focus on making better things (example I got into the crossbows and all my blacksmiths were priortising arows and not bolts which costed 20 of my colonists when they got through)
- jesus christ make the berry farmers make more berrys (I have half my colony making berrys and I still cant get enough for jam sandwhichs I HAD around 12 WHEAT FARMERS AND IT WAS ENOUGH)
great game of minecraft simulator type thing
Good game, but if you're looking for good visuals and adequate price, then you better look for something else
That's why I can't really recommend this game, I wouldn't recommend it to my friend, and so I won't to everyone else
Game crashes after walking around for about 30 seconds. Every time.
This game was really fun to play, you get out of it what you put in.
You can be really creative with your base building and methods to kill zombies at the entrance. Additionally you can get creative with how you make use of your space for farming. Practical problems arise in the game throughout that you have to solve and fix such as creating more food, redistributing work according to need and the amount of guards needed. Then when you start to expand to other bases, you then have to figure out trading between bases.
On top of that, the development team are always fun, developing the game and keeping the players updated on news. Again, you make it your own game, do with it what you want and get creative.
IT GOOD! ((thats all you need to know rn))
interesting concept, good game!
YES GET IT NOW ITS GREAT PLAY IT PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
its just minecraft with slaves
