Great Idea, Not so great execution,
1. the pc player should not have limited ammo while the vr player has infinite ammo
2. the pc player has upgrades that should be active by default such as aiming and having shorter reloads when ammo is still in the gun
3. the pc player has access to multiple pistols that are almost the exact same a submachinegun and thats it for ground mode
4. the pc player's sniper mode gives them access to a small portion of the map to shoot at with limited ammo, so in survival mode the best strategy is to wait 2 minutes and then start killing a tiny fraction of the horde that comes after the vr player.
5. nevermind thanks for fixing this :)
6 why would you make an vss the dedicated sniper rifle for the vr player.
7. the armored zombies have stupid amounts of health that can eat entire AK mags to the face which is frustrating when there can be up to 6 in the bunker map
8.the blue crates are nearly worthless because you get a whole 1 (out of 100) by default more health for each kit and 100$
9. you might need to play scavenge maps multiple times because 10 yellow supply crates might not always spawn
10. you move very slowly and there is no running option so trying to search or play large maps takes ages
overall I still think this game is a great idea, the world needs more vr and pc player games but this one still needs work.
and you and your friend will fight over who gets to play vr not because its cool, but because they dont want to play on the pc but overall...
if its on sale it could be fun for an hour or two
This game is so awesome! it is truly amazing how someone can play on vr whilst a buddy plays pc and you work together to get through the levels and complete goals. I wish more vr games would do a coop like this game does.
Fun VR zombie shooter!
Considering it's age, it is a good title to play solo or coop.
The shooting mechanics which were no doubt phenomenal years ago are no longer cutting edge - players still have to reload manually, pulling a magazine out of their rig, inserting it into the firearm and then rack the slide, but the weapons are weightless and recoil is only noticeable when sending lead full auto.
While you can hold your AK one handed and use it like a pistol, you can also grip it with your second hand and force yourself to use it properly and maintain immersion - which is a significant upgrade compared to most similar games, especially that are this old.
Everything else is fantastic.
3 modes to play;
Survival - more typical zombie wave shooter. Player is rooted to the spot and must hold out as long as possible. When you are at your limits you can call in an evac chopper which takes 30 seconds to arrive. If you die, you lose all your earned rewards.
Defence - you are in overwatch for a location such as a survivor safehouse or crashed helicopter and must defend the target for a pre-determined amount of time.
And lastly there is the movement mode where the player travels across a map and completes objectives.
All three work well, are fun and offer various rewards to contribute towards unlocking new weapons, attachments, skins and other goodies.
I've only played solo, but the fact you can play 2 player local coop with just one copy is awesome, big kudos to the dev for that!
Throw in the fact that the developer today released a big content patch out of nowhere, 5 years after release, for free, and I cannot help but throw up a positive review.
I've got nothing bad to say about the Containment Initiative, other than it is fairly priced and worth the buy!
And right now it's on sale for a couple of dollars, an absolute bargain.
The game is got a lot of potential that's enough for the positive review so that the developer continue working on the game.
This is the best VR game I've played, and it was only $2.49. Its great the way it is, but the dev seems to be still working on it. After reading the reviews, I wasn't expecting much on the UI, but there are things like options for lowering the holster height, small room mode, etc. They've really nailed the QOL things. Gameplay is a hoot too.
A nice VR game, made especially better with the dual-play (one person can play on host PC, while the other can play on VR headset).
Dual-play also supports Steam Cloud Play, so you don't even have to have someone at the PC!
The gunplay is nice, but everything has no weight so you can freehand an AR while slicing away with an axe.
I kinda wish there was more with coop play though. My partner can only use a variety of pistols on the ground, or a rifle for sniper support - both with limited ammo.
really fun game breaks sometimes the local pc and vr co-op is a cool feature could use some more content and updates but well worth the buy if u like zombie vr shooters
Pretty cool one man project game, it was one of my first VR games I ever played. The game is still getting content so is deserves a thumb up.
Good fun and great value, my wife and I are enjoying playing it local co-op.
Impressive that the developer is still updating the game with new content in 2022 - that's the main reason I bought this, as usually with 2017 era VR games you're lucky if it even works at all. This one works perfectly on Valve Index (though it does show Vive wands in the tutorial).
Great Asymmetric VR game with an indie following. I hope more games can take this concept and apply it to their games. Really fun to invite a friend over and take turns playing the headset/PC. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had full controller support. I could not get my xbox controller to work with it and reverted to mouse/keyboard.
Honestly i was looking for a fun experience that i could show my non vr friends and this was perfect. The fact that i could have a friend play on pc and i had the oculus on was actually kind of mind blowing and i just want to say props to the dev for making such a fun experience. The gaming community salutes you!!!!!!!
I bought this game on sale and was pleasantly surprised. The game is basic but has a lot of fun modes and weapons to unlock and is definitely worth the discounted price. Adding a full player model would really improve it.
Has so much potential, hopefully the developers are active. As a game that is still in development I have high hopes for the future.

This is by far the best VR game. There are a lot of great games out there, but when I want to share VR with someone, they take the headset off within a minute or two. Games aren't very social so we move on to something else. Well, we end up playing this for a good while, then they want to move on to other cool VR games.
Short Review: Great quick game! With 3 modes of play, and about 3 levels per mode, it can be cleared relatively quickly, especially if you save your money to buy the more expensive weapons first.
PROS:
• Good graphics.
• Good gun mechanics.
• 7 varieties of zombies (a good amount considering the game's length).
• Good map variety (considering game length).
• Some interesting game pre-game mechanics (weapon mods and selections).
• Great stress reliever / replacer.
• Good replayability / nice for showing off your headset (unless you fear your friends breaking it out of fear).
• Active developer on Discord.
• Modular design of level selection provides ease for map addition (as long as it's still alive).
CONS:
• Few weapons.
• Missing throwable weapons.
• Few weapon mods.
• Weapon mods/selections don't save between games.
• Zombies and mutants have very basic animations and AI, they stop being scary after a few hours.
• All enemies are close-range. So (almost) all of them can be killed with the same strategy (foreshadowing~~).
• Missing some level variety, or more variables per game mode, so it gives it more replayability.
Overall: It's a great game for it's price. Don't expect a full-fledged, story-driven game. But if you're expecting an arcade-y zombie shooter with some basic objectives, you'll be very satisfied.
a fun local multiplayer vr game :D
Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before
I highly recommend this. Really enjoyed it. It is very indie though.
If you want a VR solo/VR + VR Co-op Zombie shooter you're better off with Propagation VR + Co-op DLC , which is more polished and has better guns and melee, but if you want a VR Zombie shooter where you can play with friends that don't have VR, this is the right choice, especially considering that when it's on sale it's incredibly cheap and only the VR player needs to buy it.
This is a fun, entertaining game to play in VR with a friend on a PC via remote sharing. The game's content is pretty impressive considering it seems to be a relatively small project and I had an absolute blast playing this in co-op mode. I would highly recommend it for the price.
This game, without question, has the worst VR controls than any game I've played.
99% of your deaths will be caused by the game putting your gun away while you were still holding it and not letting you take it back out. 4 years later and this hasn't been fixed. Good lord is the pocketing system awful.
Don't buy this game lol
Genuinely a good zombie shooter. Some decent progression for replayability and the PC/VR multiplayer concept is a really cool idea, unfortunately my partner hates zombie games so won't play with me, but I can appreciate the idea and still think it's really cool.
Definitely recommend this one, I picked it up really cheap, but would not be disappointed to have paid full price.
I just played 0.7 on record.... but I am having fun time playing with it... hope in future , developer can increase the online coop from 2 player to 4 player do that I can play with my friends..
This game suffers from the same horrible "realistic" (attempts) for controls as too many other games of the same nature out there. Every death in this game has been from the game 'interpreting' a movement as putting the gun away, not in the right 'zone' to grab a clip, etc.
Sadly these types of game designers cry about "their vision" for the game and then about the public's reception on it (why it has bad reviews or does not sell well). My enjoyable VR shooters have simplistic reloading (press thumb A) or 'make this motion' so I'm not stuck trying to put the grenade back and get the clip while zombies eat my sister.
(these same designers missed the memo when it comes to "game" IMHO)
The price of a game effects how I feel about it. I paid $2.49 for this on sale.
It's great! It starts you off with a pistol and an axe and it seems ridiculously difficult after the first level, which can be intimidating....
I stuck with it tho, repeating the first level for 15 minutes or so until I could afford a better pistol, at which point it no longer felt overly difficult. 45 minutes later I had an assault rifle and the first couple levels felt too easy.... no worries tho, there is lots of harder stuff further down the level selection list.
I ended up playing for a couple hours. In the non-locomotion "wave shooter" mode. I would have played longer but I had other stuff to do. I will definitely be back to try the other modes.
In addition to the unlockable weapons there are various attachments and upgrades (like laser sight, flashlight, AP rounds, additional health etc) that cannot be unlocked with the money used to unlock the weapons. Those require better player performance than a simple AR culling and give a reason to keep coming back for awhile.
Game runs great off of my PC, but my PC is a beast so that really doesn't say much about how it might work for others.... I had no issues at all playing this game.
At $2.49 this game is a fantastic value..... I probably would not have bought it for full price.... but if I had I would have felt like I got my moneys worth..... If you looking for some zombie killing action .... or just some solid gunplay this is a good option.
I recommend!
Its a fun zombie shoot em up type.
Very good VR game. I would pay $10 for it. I got it for $3 on sale. - Great for local-coop but I wish there was multiplayer-online. Maybe in a future title? + more content (ex. Game modes, improved tool-belt)
Far exceeds the 2.50 I payed for it. My brother and I can fight zombies together with one headset. A little janky and unpolished. But even with it's flaws 9/10
I bought this game for $2.74 CDN. It is worth the full ten.
Great game for playing VR with a friend. Genuinely frantic when things go bad.
I like game's idea, one of very few ones that let flat screener and vr player co-op, and even on the same computer! But the quality is of a low budget game from 20 years ago, shame.

just some stats for reading ;)
67 reviews over 5h
11 reviews over 10h
out of 315 are 21% and 3%
Achievement range from 0.1 to 13%, so just less than 41 reviewers bothered to stay 10 minutes in-game and complete easiest achievement on 1000 cash :)
I bet those 0.1% are fake as would take 30h+ hours to complete.
Most positive reviews are just useless, considering Game has a repetitive infinite content xD
Among bad things: not good graphics, lack of content, bad controls and few zombie models
On-line Multi-player is no guess = 0
To 'any' other game developers, not just VR, you need to hire these guys or their technical wizardry to implement this exact mode of local co-op. To you guys, you need to 'patent' that technical wizardry. This is the future of 'all' gaming, not just VR.
Pretty good game for 10 usd.
As of 5/1/2021 update 1.8 they still need to work on how your simulated chest/waist turns and the zoneing to grab mags, bolt, and weapons but the game is all there.
I would title it as a solid gun budget game for someone who is looking at trying VR for the first time. It not very expansive and it feels like a prototype of a game but its 10 usd and i paid 2.49 usd on sale. my guess is there is about 4-5 hours of content maybe a bit less if your experienced.
This game lacks polish. This game lacks content. It lacks a lot. But blowing up a zombies head in vr with a sawed off shotgun while the person on the PC covers me makes up for that lack.
Not Propagation VR good, but better than Arizona Sunshine
For the 2$ I paid, this is great co-op fun. It's stupid there aren't more local co-op vr / non vr games like this...
best game for new vr zombie players so much detail put into it and guns are cool to, just add the game would be better if it had a campaign. but everything else is amazing so fun to play with friends.
cool game :) I wish there was more to it tho :(
Semi regular updates but frequent patches I would say this is a great game on a good path to success! Fun to play with a friend and works well with remote play. I just wish index controls where improved and so was garbing and letting go of things.
spent two hour with my wife playing this great game to play !
This was super fun to play with my girlfriend! Might've been the first pc/VR co op game we've ever played together and it was a blast!
Game is a bit janky, but the dev is probably the best part of the game. He listens and still updates the game, for fun.
Great game to play when you have a friend over. I play on the HP Reverb G2 and had no issues.
I want to start out this review by saying that I think the developer did a fantastic job, and that I would love to give this a positive review, but there are some major flaws that made it so I can't.
First of all, everything has a sort of haze / blurriness to it. I feel like this was intentional for the atmosphere, but it made me and my Uncle extremely sick to the point we almost threw up. And note, he hasn't gotten sick on any other VR game we've played. (I on the other hand have that's why I mentioned him lol) If you're thinking maybe my hardware isn't strong enough to run it, I have a 120 W 3080 that runs every other VR game just fine.
Second, the difficulty is just weird. Playing on normal it feels to easy, but switching to challenge mode became insanely difficult. I wish there was an in-between option.
But I would like to end this by saying that idea of co-op without both being in VR is a spectacular idea and I feel like it was executed pretty darn well. And for this being a solo developer creating this I have to applaud him for what he has managed to create. I'm learning Game Design so i know for a fact that a lot of effort went into this and so it pains me to give it a negative review. But when it makes us extremely motion-sick to play it's hard to recommend. I give the developer's effort a rating of 10/10 but the game I have to give a 4/10.
Great starting point for a VR Newbie. Static and motion levels. Not too challenging or scary.
Great zombie wave type shooter. Cool Dev that is still working and updating the game. Pick it up. Has pancake support for your buddy to watch your back in vr at the same time. Worth the asking price. Keep up the great work.
GAMES awesome for some fun with a friend , someone can play on your pc as fps, while someone plays in vr. Dev pushes updates, games definitely been improved and has amazing potential. Buy it for sure.
got it on sale and was definitely a bargain. being able to play this with asymmetric co-op totally made it worth while for me. the gun play is solid and responsive, their models are well done. for the price there is plenty of content to make it worthwhile I only wish there was more of everything. I would gladly pay for an expansion DLC after seeing the quality put into the base game.
Actually a decent vr zombie shooter arcade game
This game is fun if your with a friend, otherwise its quite boring.
The local multiplayer works very well, but the game could use more content.
pick it up on sale if you have someone to play with.
I love this game, I've only just discovered it in July 2021 but already logged many hours playing mostly in Local Co-op with my daughter (but it is also standalone fun too). It's great that player 2 can join from the same PC as a PC gamer seeing Player 1 in VR. It works flawlessly running Airlink and playing wirelessly on my Oculus Quest 2 (it also works with Virtual Desktop and my Oculus Quest 1 too), we can see each other and work together taking out the Zombie horde :). Great fun, highly recommended, definitely will be looking out for more "family" games like this in the future!
Pretty good, recommend to pick it up on sale
The best asymmetrical vr game out there, a bit bare bones when you get down to it but still great fun and that's all that really matters in the end.
The game is pretty simplistic but the asymmetric Co-op is what keeps it fresh in fun especially if you swap and take turns trying each type. 8/10
holy shit this game is so good and its worth basicly nothing. i bought it for like 2 dollars and its amazing. 9/10 becouse i always hit my balls when i pick up the magazine
It's a decent game for VR, also the price is only 9,99€ not bad.
I do recommend having a friend to play with.
The local co-op aspect of this game is very cool and is something I hope to see in other VR games.
This is honestly one of the better VR games ive played recently. Its been on my wishlist for awhile, i finally pulled the trigger and had a real blast playing with my daughter. Its always a pain trying to walk someone through controls when either they are in VR or you are but this game was super intuitive.
The idea of being able to play co-op together while on the same computer with someone else is brilliant. AAA experience, more devs should be doing this. The graphics look great at night with flashlights and laser attachments, good progression with unlocking maps, guns, attachments and health upgrades.
Best of all, this game supports the Katwalk c VR treadmill so i can run around in the game! Not a lot of games have support for that device! At only $10 this game is an absolute steal.
A really nice wave shooter with coop capabilities (1 PC 1 VR)
Although the game by itself now is pretty good, i find there are several odd design decisions and QoL upgrades that could be implemented:
* The VR body is really clunky when turning, this makes gripping for the weapon and ammo quite weird. This means you almost always have to look at what you're grabbing instead of doing it seamlessly
* The existence of a melee sidearm since useless to me? Or maybe i havent progressed far enough to warrant using it. Either ways, paired with the above problem, grabbing the melee weapon is probably harder than just reloading your weapon.
* The purchase of weapons dont really make sense. Once you buy the weapon of a tier above the one you have, you basically never go back down to those weapons. It might be better to make every weapon unique in its own way instead (Pistols have faster reloads/cannot jam, AR's have higher damage, Shotguns have CC capabilities etc)
* Paired with the above problem, i could just play the first level, which spawns normal zombies, and basically grinded for about half an hour and then just skip all the weapons to buy the strongest available. So i basically went from pistol to AR and now im done with that progression.
* The weapon crates (Which are basically like perk level points) to redeem attachments is alright, but again, paired with jumping straight to the final weapon theres no real need to grind for this either.
* The medical crates on the other hand seem downright useless to me... theres literally only 1 use for it and thats to add 1 max hp to your current 100hp. I dont really feel this will do anything since if you're at the point of being whacked by zombies that extra hp probably wont save you from being overwhelmed anyway.
Sure it's not perfect but its still definitely worth it to pick it up and play as a basic wave shooter zombie mode (With coop, which i have not tried)
On another note, if you're interested in wave shooters...
...with RPG/deckbuilding elements, check out VAR:Exterminate

...with a more arcade type horror focus, check out Propagation VR

On sale for $2, this game is awesome. Might even be worth the full $10. There seem to be some minor problems with your gear belt when you rotate, it takes about a second to catch up with your movements but doesn't affect gameplay. Haven't tried coop yet.
Containment Initiative is not a terrible VR game and definitely a game that you could just pick up and grind for the guns and camos and to actually beat the game. It can be decently fun when playing alone and sometimes with a friend on PC. the graphics aren't bad for a VR game yet that is pretty acceptable for what looks to be a low budget game. Although the game is decently fun and has some good qualities, Containment Initiative is unpolished, although some missions can be scary with tough enemies and also being in the dark, I find that it still misses a lot of the scarier parts and could truly become scarier due to the game being in an apocalyptic setting. Another thing is you don't have limited ammo like the PC user does so that takes away a level of the fear from the game. Finally Containment Initiative is although an unpolished game, It differs from other VR zombie shooters and is a very fun Local Multiplayer PC/VR game.
A great value VR shooter in Resident Evil style.
This Game Is Fun as Hell:
This game has good weapons, good NPC's, good maps, good objectives, the only thing that I'm not a huge fan of is the handling of the Assault rifle, its kinda janky, but thats about it!
This game has provided one of the most unique experiences I've ever been able to play inside of "couch co-op", now this isn't exactly that, however the ability for one to play on VR alongside the other on desktop is definitely something that brings those nostalgic moments back. Decent Zombie A.I, an armory that provides different guns for every player, a sniper/ground support option, and the single-player VR capability make this game an amazing experience like no other.
Absolutely amazing, my go to game when with a mate. Can't wait to see how this game progresses in the future
I really enjoy CI - the pace is unrelenting and it will push and try you- you need to take the time to tweak your visual settings for the optimal immersion - oh and have enough room to move! I just about put my hand through the bookcase in my study! Lol my fault I was really getting into the moment !!
Pretty Decent for a low budget VR game. Not sure how the co-op on desktop is gonna work on low end PCs but its worth a shot.
for the price its a good deal especialy on sale
pros
good texures
low size
game maps
the ability to play multyplayer online and local coop local coop is for the second player on the keyboard and mouse
cons
no recoil (yes i mean no recoil on the guns)
small varaety of gamemodes
over all i would say its a 7/10
it has a potential since its still being updated i can see it getting better and better for the price i would say its worth it
may edit later for more info
very good game, with the awesome 2 player mode, one on the vr and one on the computer ,is so fun
update from time to time
very good
Cool Game, I really hope it's still developed.
I see great potential if this game will be still developed, or if dev is making different games like that one with PC-VR Local Coop.
About gameplay
me and my dad enjoyed cooperating, he played on VR only once and said that VR is too difficult for him and rathers safe sniper spot.
For me it was awesome gameplay, tho I wish there were more maps, and maybe a different way to play online coop PC-VR without having to use remote play since it's killing my router because weak internet connection.
Imagine those 2012 f2p iPhone zombie games but in VR
i wish this felt more polished to play and had more content
Hard but exciting, wish it were co-op. But still the excellent use of guns, the pretty spot on aim combat is great too. :)
Picked it up on sale for just under $3, Pretty great game for that price. Even more fun if you have someone with you to play locally as the PC player.
When I saw this game, and the description and trailers I immediately thought "Man this looks pretty cool! And it's really affordable!" I got this game on sale for $2.49 and while it was fun at first, it left way too much to be desired for me to play it any longer or stick with it for any reason.
Don't get me wrong. The idea for a fun game is there. But even with maps that have locomotion enabled, it still feels incredibly on the rails. Much like arcade games with those plastic point and shoot pistols that you pay like .25 cents to play, you have infinite ammo, limited health and can really only do so much through the entire mission.
This game is genuinely fun for a short amount of time. I'll list below currently the ups and downs I Personally Feel the game has.
Pros included in the game:
• Fun reload mechanics
• Easy to Grasp gun play
• Good music
• Co-op support
• Reasonably Priced
Cons included in the game:
• Guns are not as accurate as you. They have random spread instead of recoil
• Poorly named guns in the store such as "SMG-11" or "Silenced Sniper Rifle"
• No real reason for "progression" other than to customize your guns or buy new ones
• Levels just feel uninspired or uninteresting. Maybe there are bigger better ones but the hour I played was very drab
• Most levels you sit in small invisible boxes or area to defend.
To me, this game feels like it belongs under the "early access" section for steam games. As it's very small, and in my opinion currently in need of a lot more work. Not a bad game, just not for me for the reasons above. Genuinely hope to see this game improve, but right now I cannot recommend it.
I do not like this game (2021-11-13) 2.2/10
I think this game is OKAY (2021-12-16) 5.2/10
I think this game is getting BETTER! (2022-01-01)
New Review
It seems the developer is actually trying to update this game!
it shows alot, especially me as an oculus user.
the stick drift and holsters are fixed.
still waiting for that better crossplay support..
still want those options thought.
OLD
OLD, OUTDATED.
This game is OKAY, as i have replayed this game, it is entertaining for a little amount of time, it is slightly fun, but more fun with friends. The game would be better with alot more polishing, better options, more care put in by the devs. This is something you'd find on itch.io as a quest apk, but its a cool game to say the most, im sad they removed the standalone support though. It'd be cool if they brought it back as either local or P2P
still want these. (NOT OLD.)
LIST: things I DESIRE
- Graphic Options (Low, Medium, High, Ultra, LOD scale and such)
- Control Options (Smooth Turn, head locomotion, teleport)
- Improved infected hitboxes
- Improved weapons. (more options for local/standalone player
- RECOIL RECOIL RECOIL.
- Bring back the standalone crossplay support
TL;DR Get this. Only if its on sale though.
So after playing for about an hour together with a friend using Remote Play, I returned it. The game itself is fun if you play with a friend or family member but it lacks content if I would play 20 minutes more I'd be done with the game content. If you don't mind only playing it every few weeks with a friend or something go for it but if you are looking for a more long term game that keeps you invested for hours this is not the game for you!
Very good non stibky gameeeeeeeeeeeeee
reloads w handgun fail because gun won't accept new clip... so i'm not going any farther than first level.
Right... I Give this a soft Thumbs up.
Good parts: It's Coop On a single computer. My Wife an I had a lot of fun with this one.
Zombies Do react to getting hit, which is nice, because you can see when you land a shot.
Bad Parts: Controls need to be fixed.
The VR controls and the Desktop Controls are WAY too different, or we are not getting it. both are bad for a game like this.
The VR has the standard holster and belt of ammo, reloading etc, but not done very well.
The holsterd gun really needs a redo. I had a hell of a time trying to holster my gun, grab my gun, reload my gun. All of these are SUPER important in a wave shooter. Reloading should be super smooth. I got better with the Easy Reload. This is just taking the gun (after dumping the mag) and just smacking your chest with the gun. easy enough.
The holster needs work. Grabbing my gun, I had to be in the exact position. This should have (needs to have) a much larger collision area so you don't need your hand on the exat location to grab the thing. I spent a lot of time trying to grab my gun while zombies killed me.
Reloading for the VR player (with the easy reload) is fast. The DeskTop is slow as hell.
DeskTop can not grab an item and shoot. VR Player Can grab with left hand and shoot with the right.
Desktop player can see how much ammo their gun has left. VR player can not.
The levels should have a min and max number of crates to scavange, if it's random. We got into some levels and three are like 20 creates, and then reload the level to find 4.
Oh, and one thing that was getting me sick as the desktop player, was watching the VR player choose their weapons, and the level.
uggg. If there is a way to just have a black screen with "Waiting for other player" would be better, or best would be if both players can choose at the same time.
Have not tried the Melee weapons yet.
Fun game, takes a while to get used to the frustrating controls. looking forward to when they fix the holster thing.
Simple and fun, replayability is high. Appreciate the game to have locomotion mode as many VR shooter are just stationary standing only. Hope to have smooth turning option too, those with VR legs will definitely appreciate that option. If the locomotion can updated to something like Boneworks then it will be even better. The katana was fun. Just try it, it's good and fun.
I bought this game the last time it was on sale, and it is worth the money if you want a fun six hours or so. and that's even without having unlocked all the achievements. 10/10.
CI is pretty good, though even if buggy in some places really bumps the coolness factor up by adding local co-op.
I was confused how the local co-op worked, but I'll explain. The computer player plays on the same computer as the VR player, basically removing the VR spectating screen and instead having player 2.
Seems promising, but there are free VR games that offer better asymmetrical gameplay than this. Definitely not worth full price...fun for like 10 minutes then not so great.
I love this game. definitely suggest you check it out
Can be played multiple times and the asymmetrical local coop works great.
Very fun for 10$, I hope it gets the polish and support it needs to be a more complete game, but a blast for a few hours in its current state. The assymetrical VR coop is worth the 10$ for sure.
It's a really basic game that has its flaws but still really good fun. First game I've seen that does co-op the way it does and definitely kept me hooked for awhile.
Honestly, some updates and simple changes could make the game a lot better and last a lot longer. Like either giving both players limited ammo or both having unlimited ammo, not just the vr player having unlimited ammo. If you don't wanna change that then at least increase the ammo drop rates as it just gets plain boring when the support guy cant do anything except watch you mow down zombies. More guns and upgrades would be nice as well and would give you more to do with the money. Speaking of money, you get it way too easy with not enough to do with it. Even just having an unlimited survival mode like in Modern Warfare 3 and spending the money you get for upgrades and ammo while in the wave would be so much fun.
Overall, it's worth the price and if you wanna kill a couple of hours with a friend then go for it. Just dont expect any multiplayer lobbies with randoms.
I got this game while in search for an asynchronous vr game. I found this game to be rather odd, on one hand it looks like at least a small it of passion was afforded to this game. But on the other the grating gun fire sound sound will indeed give any player a headache. Vr or otherwise. And to add onto it for most missions your feet are nailed to the ground, and if you have a small play space good luck reaching any of the buttons. Good katana tho.
I bought this game while it was on sale for 2.49 and I would have been even more embarrassed if i spent the full 10 dollars. this game has no substance to it, no story, the slowest movement speed ever for walking, barebones interaction with the guns, and worse of all is that it's boring. if i had the option to play this and watch paint dry I'd pick the paint. If I had to pick between playing this game and watching every single episode of keeping up with the kardashians and the new hulu original about the kardashians or play this game I'd rather watch the kardashians, at least with that I can just stare at Kim's ass and try my hardest to tune out whatever weird ass bullshit they're trying to say.
very fun shooter with unique co-op capabilities. probably my favorite VR game. it's always fun to play w friends and see how much they freak out when zombies sneak up behind them, and the assortment of modes and maps is entertaining. it offers a lot of challenge and variety and i hope to see even more updates in the future =^}
This game controls a little poorly. the only reason I bring this up is because the trailer makes it look much more smooth than it really is. To the point that it makes me think it was practiced in advance just to make it look smoother. that being said, the game play is solid, there's a progression system to unlock and upgrade guns. It feels like it was finished but the whole game is essentially a level select screen that lets you pick between level and game modes.
It feels weird seeing this as not in early access when so much of it feels unfinished? I don't want to hate on it because everything works as intended as far as I can tell. The Co op companion has limited ammo and a different selection of guns that are usually worse than the VR character's guns. That shouldn't be an issue but the lopsided nature of things really makes the VR person the baby sitter of the Co op guy who's trying to conserve ammo and who can't fight as well or as quickly.
Still points for being possibly the only local asymmetrical Co op VR game on steam at the moment. Plus giving the player the option to call in a evac at any time but only after 60 seconds is a odd but effective way of increasing tension. And honestly the big zombie scares me a little, the rest of them don't but the big red glowing one does. whoever designed it deserves a award.
honestly a real hidden gem for anyone who likes to play vr but just cant find a game at a low price that is still very fun to play. Best thing for me was the fact that you can have two people playing at once so i could finally play with someone rather than us awkwardly waiting for the other person to die so we can try.
very fun, its a very nice and interesting idea, something ive always looked for, local coop with vr. now, the game is awesome, and with a team or just better funding, this game can be polished and made even better! anyway its dank, and hope if you read this, you buy it and play it with someone you know. for me, i let my scaredy cat brother play vr and i turn off flash lights 🤣anyway its fun
For a bare-bones VR zombie shooter it is pretty good. The weapons handling is decent. Though there could be some adjustments made to how gripping works. Specifically for Index controllers, you have to clench the grip real hard. Personally for me that is a little problematic, most of the time I am worried about crushing the controller. If there could be an update made in the near future to make the controls more grip sensitive for index would be wonderful. Maybe add hand models for the controllers as well.
Overall you get what you pay for with the price. The game contains 3 survival maps, 2 defense maps, and 4 scavenge maps. The Scavenge maps are very small, each with objectives. Defense maps are stationary long distance, with challenge objectives. And survival is self explanatory. Each map will have a unique set of zombies to deal with, sometimes it will be intermixed. Depending on whether or not you enable challenge mode, some of the more dangerous variety will be encountered periodically on any map when challenge mode is enabled.
I really look forward to seeing this game get more fleshed out. Hopefully maps will get expanded, either in more variety or an enhancement of existing maps. That is all up to how tenacious or how high the achievement bar the Team or Sole Creator has set for themselves. It is tough work to get everything right. But if you give it your all you will never fail yourself. It is just like Interstellar Marines (Regular Flat-Screen FPS), a game that started early access development back in 2013 and is currently in development limbo. Though it is not because of any greed or moral incompetence, but lack of funding. Completely off-topic, but there is promise for Containment Initiative. For a good reference for development ideas, my best suggestion would be to take a look at Propagation VR. It is the closest in comparison, though its more horror focused. There are definitely some things that can give inspiration in there.
I recommend this game specifically because it has potential, and is currently fun as is. And if more revenue is more of an incentive to get the ball rolling, and get a bigger dev-team setup, then give all the support you can muster.
The pistols are a ton of fun to use. I really enjoyed the accuracy of the sights and the mechanics of the game
Fun game, to the point, can get intense at some places if you're like me. Unique local coop mode for VR/PC gameplay with a friend.
Decently fun VR game to play with friends as you show off your headset. Bonus if you can score it onsale.
really nothing else to say, im dumbfounded at this quality game making, microsoft, please take note!!!
constantly on sale, worth it at sale price. fun to do vr and have a friend on the pc and swap out.
