Really happy to play on PC though with the release of the Special Editions on PS5 and Xbox Series X I'm overwhelmingly disappointed that Legendary Dark Knights wasn't officially released or we didn't get a Special Edition release as well.
The phrase "high learning curve" was made to describe this game and game series but MAN is it fun to play!
wacky pizza man do block then explode bad guys, then katana weeb man make things go slice, monkey brain like
This is a really really good game, its over the top and the combat feels great, I just wish it was longer to build up Nero more
I bought this game because of some funny ha ha video I saw on youtube, and I thought I should try it out since it was on sale for $9.00 (I have played DMC4 and DMC2 prior to playing this, both I haven't finished) and it actually ended up being the best action game I have ever played aside from metal gear rising.
The controls are very smooth, combos are easy and fun. V is not very fun to play though. other than that, very good game.
After a few minutes in the game, it made me feel out of this world. The graphics were stunning, soundtracks were so ethereal, it's something that you don't expect coming out of a videogame. The combat system is filled with a lot of combo wombos, and the story was so epic, that they even included some humor in it. This game puts a smile on my face.
Now i'm 14 hrs in the game, currently playing as Vergil.
Oh damn, i'm hella motivated!!! Because
I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING!!!
PROVOOOKING BLACK CLOUDS IN ISOLATION
I AM RECLAIMER OF MY NAAAME!
BORN IN FLAMES, I HAVE BEEN BLESSED
MY FAMILY CREST IS A DEMON OF BREATH!
FORSAKENED, I AM AWAKENED
A PHOENIX'S ASH IN DARK DIVINE
DESCENDING MISERYYYYY
DESTINY CHASING TIIIIIIMEEEEE!
Amazing sequel to the 4th. Everything we love about the originals in similar fashion to the RE franchise got expanded bigger and better. Capcom is just killing it with these long awaited sequels that add flair to a familiar and perfect formula. DMC 5 grabbed everything that was right with DMC1-4 and made things better aesthetically pleasing and the replay value is immensely strong. Forget about DmC reboot and play this instead. 10/10 both personally and professionally. One of my all time favorite games for sure. Need to a decent PC to play this if you're playing on a College or a little better than average school Laptop it won't run.
This game is like sports. Most people play it a few times and resort to just watching other people play. Others play till they die. Also, featuring Dante from Devil May Cry.
Theres a special npc in-game u gotta find guys: The Real Jacob from Devil May Cry. interesting NPC, quite a hard area to get to though
The right blend of stupid and fun. Is the best way to describe this game. Glad I finally gave this series a chance and want to play the rest of them.
I mean, how can you not recommend this one? :D Action packed game, great graphics, optimizations off the chart, and also the many many mods out there, grant endless replayability. A must have for any DMC or hack and slash enthusiast out there!
Best combat in any game ever?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Dunno if devils cry but I definitely did when trying to pull off Dante combos on a keyboard...
(please no hate I know I am bad in fighting games, still enjoyed though)
When Dante said: "it's Devil hunting time" and then made the devil cry was the hardest scene in gaming
(ok but seriously buy it, it's good :3)
when I' m bored in class, the fight scene in my head got 1000 times more dramatic and smooth now, bury the light my brothers
Wow, what can I say? I've been a super fan since Devil May Cry 1. I even wanted to die my hair white in 8th grade, but my parents refused to let me. But that's okay. At least I got to play the games.
This game is nothing short from phenomenal. I remember playing DMC 4 and thinking man Nero doesn't compare to Dante.
Well that's not a thought in my head anymore. Because Capcom as usual puts a spin like no one can. Like this company is truely unique. I don't think any of Sony's or Microsoft's top dawgs can pull these gameplay miracles like Capcom can.
Devil May Cry 5 has really, and I mean really raised the bar on what hack n slash means in a video game.
If you love Ninja Gaiden, you'll know what I mean when you play this game. There is so much freedom, especially when you get the missle arm. Dude it's a demon hunters wet dream. Do not miss out on this title. It's a 10, borderline 11.
I wasn't sure about getting this since i've never really been a fan of this kind of game (dmc, bayonetta, etc.), but after seeing "that" Vergil combo video i just had to get it.
It was very, very, very worth it.
2 pretty major complaints though:
First , besides Vergil as DLC, none of the features of the consoles special edition made their way to the PC version, and i really don't get why, it's baffling.
Second, it bothers me that you can play through the whole game solely as Vergil, but you can't do the same as Nero/Dante/V, it just diminishes the amount of playtime you can get with each character.

This hack n slash game is a great one although the control a bit weird and camera is a bit weird sometimes,
its a good game but it only has 9 missions so its mainly a you have to replay the game on hard difficultys
I'd never played a DMC game so I was on the fence. Game looks amazing and is stupid amounts of fun. Combat is smooth and each character plays completely different.
Mad props to Capcom for this gem and I hope they continue the franchise.
BURY THE LIGHT DEEP WITHIIIIIIINNNNNN! CAST ASIDE, THERE'S NO COMING HOME! WE'RE BURNING CHAOS IN THE WIND! DRIFTING IN THE OCEAN ALLLLLLLLL AAALLLLLOOOOOOOOONNNNNEEEEE!!!!!!
A franchise-faithful sequel with probably the best newest addition to the¨roster of playable characters (V). His ranged play style is a breath of fresh air and his dialogue is less cheesy than Dante or Nero's (but six games in, it shouldn't be a surprise that Dante and Nero's dialogue isn't shakespearean!).
i'm only 2 hours in and game is amazing, characters are cool, story is cool, everything is cool
haven't met or played as this vergil guy yet but i imagine he will also be very cool
I was recommended this game by a friend, I had never touched this franchise before but I am so glad I got it.
The story, the soundtrack, the combat, everything about this game is absolutely beautiful. I am hooked onto the series now and I have honestly very little complaints to make about this masterpiece of a game.
the game is good enough fun, and it looks amazing. I didn't however like spending blood orbs to increase my moves for THREE different characters four including Virgil. I only wanted to play as Dante, and you don't do that very much. over all I do recommend the game, but not if you only wanna play as Dante. If they make a 6th game, hopefully you only use one character for the majority of it...
i dont usually play single player games. decided to give this franchise a shot and shit, ill definetly be getting other games
This is by far the most fun game ever, everyone knows, I don't need to spell it out, I love how many people can enjoy this game, people who just want to blow off steam can play on medium or easy difficulty and just mow through the campaign, and people who want a challenge play on the hardest difficulty. It's hard to put this into words but I do believe this is the perfect game, nothing right now tops DMC 5. I do hope other games try to be this polished and feel this good. BTW Vergil is the coolest villain ever, AND YOU CAN PLAY AS HIM. 10/10
Really good game, 10/10 but holy shit give Vergil a fucking plot line.
It's 3 fuckin' games in a row.
At least this time we didn't have to retread half the goddamn game as a different character and refight all the bosses 3 times... HNNNNNN-
The gameplay's as slick as it's ever been, even more than before with the addition of an even stronger DT and Vergil getting some cool tricks(HEH) from the godawful reboot.
Just feels like a missed opportunity every time Vergil's been playable and all he does is go through the levels. We could've watched some alternate version of the plot for him specifically but given the quality of the cutscenes in his DLC EHHH.
It's really lazy. At least he's fun.
I have much more MOTIVATION after playing this fine specimen of a DMC game, Vergil kicked my ass a couple times but so he does in every DMC game he appears in. outstanding 10/10 will play again (already am)
People often talk about Vergil/V/Nero/Dante. But for me:
"BBQ TIME!"
- Rest in peace, little chicken.
this game has it all, but the best parts are the combat and soundtrack. The skill floor for this game is rock bottom and easy to pick up, while the skill ceiling makes most difficult fighting game characters look like jokes.
Part of me does not understand how I put almost 100 hours already in this game. This game is a love letter to DMC fans and Vergil is power.
Game is too good.
do not play literally anyone other than vergil.
One of the best Hack and Slash games I have ever played, combat is absolutely stellar and insanely fun, graphics are extremely good thanks to the RE engine, and the story is decent enough, highly recommend this one....oh and try the Vergil DLC if you want more POWER.
i remember that time when i get wrecked by vergil in human mode
I - half demon half Micheal Jackson - went out and killed a 3 headed puppy with 2 halves of a motorbike i use as swords and a magazine fed double barrel shotgun, in order to acquire a set or frozen lighting numchucks which also turn into a slightly burnt bamboo pole. I then used the power of the "he he" to stab myself and bully the ugly half of my brother for eating an apple, only for an old crumbly man to come steal the kill while my cripple nephew watches.
so far so good first D.M.C. game and very impressed with the game play I obviously recommend this game anyone
Such a wonderful game, it has everything you need and it's really story rich. Would love to see the developers making the new DMC sooner so i can enjoy seeing more of the enjoyable and wholesome character Nero who showed in DMC 5 that he is worthy and has more power in him and potential than ever before and letting the people who play the game understand him not only as another character, but as a new main character soon maybe :? Would recommend to watch the story because the game is very interesting story like. Having an opinion is good and it'll be good to see your in the comments :D
I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING
i am the storm that is approaching
Not sure if you should buy this yet? I have one word for you. Vergil.
All flash and no substance.
short but somehow repetitive gameplay with a poorly paced and brain-dead story.
A nostalgia bait for older players and a thirst trap for streamers.
Don't believe the hype.
bang bang i pulled my devil trigger to hard
Slightly convoluted but still interesting story, extremely fun and mechanically solid gameplay. Even if you're not a fan of DMC I would recommend giving it a try.
Devil May Cry 5 is one of the best modern entries an older videogame series has ever seen. Nearly 20 years after the release of DMC 1 and over a decade after the release of DMC 4, DMC 5 swings for the fences and smacks it out of the park in literally every aspect.
DMC 5's story follows Nero primarily, with a splash of Dante and a new mysterious character named V, as they try to stop the demon Urizen from gaining ultimate power after he sprouts a really big demon tree in the middle of the city. In typical DMC fashion, you'll fight through hordes of enemies and a number of bosses as you gradually unlock new and exciting ways to mix up combat. Nero makes use of Devil Breakers, about a dozen unique arms that allow him to unleash dozens of new moves on the demons, including but not limited to rocket barrages, chain whips, and the ability to slow down time. V stands on the sidelines and uses his familiars (who should be familiar to long-time DMC fans) Shadow, Griffon, and Nightmare to execute insane damage with varying approaches. Dante retains his Styles from previous games, but now has more weapons, more moves, and more woo-hoo. As Dante, you'll be swapping weapons and styles every second to create the most convoluted but devastating combos the genre has ever seen.
I have had so much fun with DMC 5. Having played the first four DMC's shortly beforehand, I was amazed by how well they had translated the series into a modern hit. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is fluid but it still feels true to its name. I was stunned executing my first combos on Nero, just seeing how well they had put new life into his gameplay and character after DMC 4. I've replayed this game a bunch on multiple difficulties, tried out the Bloody Palace mode, played through a bunch of Vergil, the fun just never seems to end. The graphics are great, the gameplay is great, the bosses are great (shout-out to Voltaic Black Knight, love that fight), the soundtrack is great (the battle themes for all 4 characters are phenomenal), it's just fucking great.
If you're a fan of DMC, buy DMC 5. If you've never played a DMC game before but you like action games (especially Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance or Bayonetta), buy DMC 5 and watch the 2-minute "History of DMC" video on YouTube video before playing. Just play it, it's a great time. Also, make sure to buy Devil May Cry 5 + Vergil, you'll unlock Vergil as a playable character, and trust me it's worth it. Just make sure he's not your first playthrough.
I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING!!!!! PROVOKING!!!! BLACK CLOUDS IN ISOLATION!!!!!!!!
Another awesome DMC to the collection!
Good luck learning to play Dante:)
fun game, but . . . it crashed 9 times out of 10. more than that, actually. it's always when i try opening the game.
u wil get 100% mor grils from paly tis gaem
Shits basically anime the video game on crack and I love it.
really fun hack and slash would recommend
unrelated fun fact: did you know that vergil is the storm that is approaching?
I only like this game because of the cool pizza guy with a red coat and with dual pistols.
Always aiming to master each character skill sets for the next instalment.
Dante’s pretty difficult to master but with enough trial and error and less reliance on auto assist (coming from a PC user) I enjoyed playing this game from start to finish.
9/10 from me

I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROAAAAAAAACHIIIIIING!!!!!
This game changed my life for the better. Due to this game I have found a loving relationship, daily motivation, a healthy sleep schedule and a workout routine that has got me shredded. I jelq twice a day to improve mental fitness and have switched my unhealthy drinking problem out with anabolic steroids and bath salts. Thank you for affecting my life in such a significant way
I've played all the other Devil May Cry games and this game has by far been my favorite. It nudges the lore in the right place. There is so much i would love to say about this game but this game is simply beautiful
I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only reason i got this was so i could blast Bury the Light while experiencing Vergil's POWER. It was worth it.
V is terrible IDC what anyone says he's just not fun to play but other than him the game is great
No way to turn off HDR. I get that this might be a petty thing, but the game looks like absolute crap on my monitor. All the colors are blown out and neon. Everything that's supposed to be any shade of grey gets crushed into black. Things in shadow are completely invisible.
Smile while playing without touching gold orb...until you fight in Dante Must Die Mode....HHAHAHA...you will know how vulnerable you are...
one of my all time fav games def recommend to people who like a long and really fun pve game
the most screenshottable game ive ever played
Devil May Cry 5: Electric Vergiloo
Gameplay
In terms of gameplay DMC5 feels very polished, smooth, and responsive. It takes the good old stylish formula from the earlier games and improves upon it, with current-gen technology. Despite me writing this review 3 years after the games release, this feels like it could've come out today, and I still would've loved it, There can be some slight issues, such as certain moves having overly complex and/or hard to pull off binds (judgement cut end to be exact), or directional issues, this still feels great to play. The high amount of weapons means a lot of versatility, so you can get extremely cool and creative with your combos. In DMC5 you get to play as 3 characters in total during your first playthrough. The first one is Nero, who I like better in this game then in DMC4, his gameplay focuses on slower, but satisfyingly connecting combos, and high powered moves(With the new devil breakers adding even more). V is the second character, he has a cool and important role in the story but his gameplay is more lackluster, he controls 3 demons, a flying lightning hawk, a shapeshifting panther, and a giant blob of destruction. It seems interesting at first but it gets boring as it doesent take much thought to construct combos and spamming is usually the best course of action. Dante is the third and final character, remaining the cocky pistol shooting, sword swinging man he was before. Dante's gameplay is a bit more complex with Devil Trigger and Sin Devil Trigger, styles, and all sorts of combos and weapon choices, however getting it right feels amazing. Also if you have good reaction time and you want to cheese most of Dante's encounters you can use Royal Guard. Bosses in this game felt rather lackluster to me if I am being completely honest but they still had enjoyment to them, to be more specific, all the Urizen encounters (besides the last one), Nidhogg, Malphas, and Artemis felt pretty unfair, or clunky but all the other bosses were pretty good. Goliath is very cinematic, Elder Geyron Knight pushes V's gameplay, Cavaliere Angelo is a cool battle of dodging and parrying, King Cerberus is a unique fight that compliments different playing styles, and Vergil is one of my favorite bosses in DMC history, pushing the envelope and really demanding thought and reason for every movement or attack.
Story
The story of DMC5 is complex and jumbled, however it is still really engaging and interesting. The basic set up is that a mysterious man named V shows up to Devil May Cry and asks Dante to help him take down the looming threat that is the mysterious Demon King Urizen. He takes along Lady, Trish, and Nero, who's Devil Bringer was torn off by a mysterious man earlier, and goes to face Urizen, However he is too powerful and they are defeated, having to find a way to regain strength and defeat this ever so powerful demon, uncovering the truth along the way. The story concludes pretty good on sort of a cliffhanger/teaser for a possible sequel, and every loose end is tied with most paths in the story intertwined with one another. I think the game would be quite a bit worse without the story, however it is still possible to really enjoy it without focusing too much on the story.
DLC
DMC5 does not offer a very large selection of DLC to play through however if you've completed the game you can replay it as Vergil by purchasing his playable character DLC, which is incredibly fun and stylish, and it even replaces Vergil with Dante as the final boss of the game. There are also some costume packs and whatnot but I feel like you can accomplish similiar results with Mods, however the "Super" costume pack is in my opinion a great choice if you feel like replaying the game, something i've done multiple times now
Conclusion
Devil May Cry 5 is without a doubt one of the best in the series, with the second highest critic ratings before the original. It is fun, beautiful, and is without a doubt worth full price.
Garry's Mod 5 is a game about a single family of Nirvana backup singers and their detachable appendages.
fucking amazing combat n shit. lady is hot btw
This gane will have you feeling like a badass
V bad, nero loud but fun, dante hard, vergil op
This game is gonna stole my life, I can feel it.
Very fun hack-n-slash game that's the epitome of "easy to pick up, hard (impossible) to master". With difficulties ranging from "never played a difficult game before" to "please kill me more". The main point of enjoyment from the game has to be the combat and combo system; if you enjoy the game you can spend literal 100's-1000's of hours getting good at the combat and feeling like a badass while doing so.
Nero swordplay and gun acrobatics make brain go brrrrrrrrr
It's exactly the DMC game you've been waiting for
Cant have sex with Vergil

might be the greatest story game i have played with great gameplay and a good story
I AM MOTIVATED ENOUGH TO 1V1 THE WHOLE UNIVERSE
I CAN'T CONTROL ALL THIS RAGE THAT'S INSIDE ME
Devil May Cry 5 is the game about Vergil hiring Vergil's brother and Vergil's son in order to work with Vergil to kill Vergil so that Vergil can fuse with Vergil to become Vergil.
Like the story, kind of sad that Vergil didnt get his own addition when playing as him
It's been said over and over for the past 3 years, but I'll say it now 'cause I actually have good taste, and the extra clout from having a top-rated review pleases me. This is one of the most well-made video games of the 21st century, and probably of all time, too.
Graphics & Performance
The pictures and videos do not lie -- that graphics quality is the real deal. It runs smoother than you can imagine, too. So much so that if I was a billionaire, I'd manipulate the entire video game industry into setting this level of optimization as the new standard for all video games that come after it. So if you have a mid-tier and/or 10+ year-old PC, you'll probably be able to run it on medium-high settings no problem.
Plot
The story isn't inspiring or revolutionary. But that is irrelevant -- the game is so fire that it doesn't need a good plot. From the start, it's a typical hero-must-defeat-the-evil-villain story. However, there is a great spin at the climax of it.
Difficulty
As far as difficulty goes, it scales nicely. It's one of those games that's easy to learn, but hard to master. The difficulty settings gradually separate men from boys, and the overall process of learning the game is: get thrown around, learn how to not get thrown around, style on those B-words. If memorizing and performing combos isn't something you're good at, the game has an auto-attack option which allows the game to performs combos foryou so that you only need to spam the attack button to do something cool.
Gameplay
There's three main playable characters. Four if you buy the Vergil DLC. Hack-and-slash is typically mashing a single button to do combos, and admittedly this one isn't that different from the norm, but it 100% has a wide array of moves and a crazy amount of room for inventing your own stylish combos. If you have the creativity and motivation for it. Each character has his own style and quirks and moves, the vast majority of which are completely unique to them. The movements and attacks are extremely receptive and smooth, too, so it's easy to cancel out of one move to dodge or transition into a never-ending aerial combo. If you don't like how one of the characters works, tough sheesh. You need to beat the chapters exclusive to them to beat the game and unlock the higher difficulties. But after that, you can stick to whichever character you prefer.
Environments
Oh, and the scenery is breathtaking if you actually look around to see it. It's easy to get lost in the hack-and-slash gameplay and not realize you're at the top of the world or in the dark yet luminous depths of Hell itself.
Bro, I wrote an actual review. I came into this 5 minutes ago planning to be funny and get likes and I've FAILED.
since theres dynamic music dependant from current combo style rip to all journalist who didnt get to hear 'I AM THE STORM WHO IS APROACHING'
One hell of a way to come back!
very good game ! i 100% recommend anyone to buy this masterpiece .
Man these are some cool titles and characters
Dante the Legendary Devil Hunter
Vergil The Alpha and Omega
V The Mysterious One
Nero The Deadweight
Awesome hack and slash game! if you love those types of games, you wont be disappointed! Took about 10 hours to complete and I enjoyed every second of it. So much fun!!!
good representation of the average day in chicago
A game with good graphics and fluid combat when mastered. It begs to be replayed so you can perform more cinematic looking battles and get that "S" rank. The price is definitely right.
Pros:
- Great graphics
- "Style system" that encourages varied combos and experimentation rather than button mashing
- Lots of cool looking bosses
- The combat is really fluid and fun once you get the hang of it
- Well voice acted and a couple of the cutscenes were amusing
Cons:
- If you're new to the series get ready for your muscle memory to hate you, they expect you to learn mountains of controls and never stop introducing more literally until after the credits roll
- I wasn't the biggest fan of getting forced into using different characters on certain missions, especially when you just felt like you were getting the hang of someone new.
- I thought using golden orbs (instant-respawn) should give a higher penalty than restarting at checkpoints multiple times, especially since the game gives you tons of gold orbs. 0.8x penalty for gold orbs and 0.9x for checkpoint respawns would've been great.
- Nico was a very annoying character and some of the interactions with characters in general were clearly geared toward a teenage audience (getting too old for this shit I guess)
- Wasn't the biggest fan of how the direction controls when doing moves changes depending on where your character/the enemy is relative to the camera. Suddenly back+forward+punch turns into forward+back+punch on the stick if you swap positions with the enemy for example.
Most of the cons were more minor annoyances than game breakers for me. Overall, a pretty easy recommend considering it goes on sale for like $10.
Cool gameplay, nice story. This game is good if u kinda like fast paced action
I need more POWER.
For real though, this is easily in my top 10 games of all time. This was an impulse buy that I wasn't really sure where it would take me, but holy fuck it paid off tremendously. This game's combat is near flawless, and the story is impeccable. The characters are ALL heartwarming and well-constructed, and they stand out near each other in the process. Overall, DMC 5 is a game that I would recommend to everyone who is frustrated and/or angry and just wants to erupt by absolutely obliterating everything in their path. I also recommend this game to anyone who likes stylish, buff(?) hot men with demonic powers and swords that can slice gods with trivial ease. And guns. There's always room for guns.
cannot sex the teleporting van :(
banger music, banger storyline (even though this is my first DMC game), and banger characters
good game... I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING
Get VERGIL as a playable character. I promise you won't regret it
When Bury The Light kicks in
My D*ck is erected fully
i AM THE STORM THAS IS CUMMING
good game but controls are wonky if you dont manually go and change some controls and control options.
i like this gama make me nostalgic
very good game should play and also coop is fun.
Honestly don't know why i took so long to purchase this game. The soundtrack, the graphics, the game play. Everything is phenomenal.
Just 2 hours in and I feel motivated already
Excellent return to one of the best hack and slash franchise .
Nero: brutalizes his enemies
Dante: stylizes his enemies
Vergil: slashes his enemies
V: random bullsh!t go
Imagine doing a whole saga of deep lore just to sponsor Pizza
Can't wait for the bandcamp release.
good game but V makes me want to kill myself
this game is amazing it has a bit of a slow start when your learning to play, you dont even need to play the other games to enjoy this one. though it really helps to understand some call backs and small lines of speech.
the levels with V are the slowest since you dont attack directly you let your pets do it. but the game really starts picking up when you get the dante levels thats when the party starts gettin crazy. i can definatly say i enjoy the game so far its also fairly easy on human difficulty which is to be expected as that is the easiest difficulty, hevan or hell mode is hard as hell.
Dmc 5, in my opinion is the BEST dmc game oat. This game is sooooooo fckin A M A Z I N G, the OSTs are 10/10, Devil trigger and bury the light made me literally freak out theyre soooooo goooood, the gameplay is easily 10/10, super fun!!! The story is great and the HYPE IS REAL. u have to play this amazing game it`s just so good, the only thing I dont like about this game is V cuz his gameplay is not too fun, although u dont get to play him too much so yeah its okay. Really great game.
First Devil May cry game, so sometimes it felt like I missed an episode, but I loved it.
FORSAKENED, I AM AWAKENED
10/10, CAPCOM DMC 6 WHEN???????
One of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had in a game.
Super fun and gives a challenge love the game
Definitely the best DMC and one of the best games that came out in the late 2010s
There are some really interesting mechanics in this game and the developers explored new ways to do combat with V -- who fights by sending out his familiars to fight for him and he just performs the finisher. I think that Dante is quite complicated in his moveset but if you take the time to learn how to use his move set to it's full capacity you can feel like a god.
Its really enjoyable to learn the full extent of the combat system, especially since it throws 3 different characters at you.
I like how the story jumps back and forth between different events of the story and shows the multiple perspectives. I think the online feature of seeing others fight is kind of under-utilized because you usually don't even know where to look since you're busy with your own fight.
And of course,
I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPPOAACCHHIIIIINNNGGGGG!!!
i am the storm that is approaching
PROVOKING
black clouds and isolation
i am reclaimer of my nameeeee
born in flames
i have been blessed
my family crest is the demon of death
Love the Resident Evil 4 dialogue in the DMC games, I had problems at first with the combat being kind of complicating but then I got used to it and loved whooping ass. Dante was ofc the best playable character, Nero I did not like because his move set is boring and I never quite used the devil breakers when playing his storyline. Overall a 8.5/10 game.
compared to other DmC games, this one is probably the worst. still not bad time killer and button masher. 6/10
weirdest how to climb a tree and how to cut a tree tutorial but i liked when they would go "I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING" or "YOU CAN NOT KILL MEEEE I AM OMEGA" or "ALL THESE THOUGHTS RUNNING THROUGH MY HEAD" or "SAVIOR BLOODSTAIN HELLFIRE SHADOW"
after buying the vergil and playing as him, i am not motivated
All of these thoughts runnin' through my head
Arm on fire, veins burnin' red
Frustration is gettin' bigger
Bang, bang, bang, pull my Devil Trigger
this game is really good. Graphically this game is very good. Also the jokes are good and the developer has a nice sense of humor. The gameplay and combat system are also interesting, each character has different skills and abilities
Buy it if you've played dmc1-4 since the story will touch you
Otherwise, the story is a bit weak while the gameplay is still phenomenal (although short) so only worth on discount
I want to roast the little chickee into a chicken nugget.
Not as good as DMC's Devil May Cry.
DMC 5 has the following:
-Boring play style
-Boring visuals
-Boring storyline
If you're a fan of DMC or a new comer. Get DMC instead.
It features Dante from Devil May Cry series
words cant describe how damn cool dante is.
I AM THE STORM THAT IS APROAACCHIINNGGGG
PROVOKIINGG
BLACK CLOUDS IN ISOLATION
I AM THE RECLAIMER OF MY NAAAMMMEEEE

FORSAKENED I AM AWAKEN
A PHOENIX'S ASH IN DARK DIVINE
DESCENDING MISERY

The best hack and slash game of the century and nobody, ABSOLUTELY nobody can prove otherwise.
Also playing as Vergil is mandatory.
never thought hack and slash could feel so cinematic
