A really nice looking game that is a real pleasure to play and is sure to put a grin on any wave shooter fans face.
If you liked the first dick wylde then you will with out a doubt love part 2, multi player mode is simply perfect and pure fun i highly recomend this game.

Very polished and great fun.
Love that you're on a raft moving through the levels.
Plenty of levels, good variety of enemies and guns.
A simple game but done very well.

Yes it's just an on-rails wave shooter, but crucially it feels like a "proper, full game" they deliberately set out to make in this style (and nailed it), rather than a quickly thrown together short demo that is being padded out to resemble a full game like most wave shooters.

If you love old arcade games like the house of the dead 2 your gonna love this game, you don't need to move around just aim and shoot it fun with friends, i love the weapons but i feel like the game needs more guns.. i don't know.
This is my review i just started world 2 in the game with my friend.
i love it.

If you like basic and silly on-rails shooters, you will like this game. The concept has been done many times in VR, and better than DW2. Still, it delivers some decent shoot 'em up fun.

This is a light, fun shooter that even the younger kids in my household could pick up and have fun with quickly. Enjoyable for the whole family.

Seems like they could have just added onto the first one, but this is still a fun rail shooter none the less.

Dick Wilde 2 is a proud successor of Dick Wilde the first.
An amazing looking game with great humor and a fair bits of crazy weapons to shoot many critters.

Sadly, it is with a heavy heart that I cannot recommend this game, as much like the first of the series, the difficulty is insanely high.
There are many worlds to explore.... but you won't ever make it past the third level of World 1. Get ready to grind over and over level 1 and 2 until you get better, or give up.

What can I say about Wilde Dicks: 2? It's a game about dicks blazing, guns, animals that need control, being animal control, realizing animal control means going dicks blazing, and realizing dicks blazing is shooting your guns forever. You'll realize the game has now been saying its name via gameplay to you, only for you to realize the asshole who sits on his ass all day doing nothing is Dick Wilde, and you'll be confused.

Embark on a journey in a raft that contains your entire prized belongings before the flood took your ancestral trailer home. I'm going to be real honest here, I have no idea what the actual story is so I'm just winging it. After god decided they had enough of our shit and everyone named Noah is an asshole, god said "fuck you guys, the animals are packing heat!" and gave them the sacred knowledge hidden deep within the minds of both Smith and Wesson. You and your friend play as either Jim Bob or his mother/sister/cousin/grandmother depending on whether you are hosting the game, joining the game, or playing by yourself. God took pity on Jim Bob and Boblene and granted them four holy revolvers and the knowledge of infinite ammo, declaring that if they clear the gauntlet he had laid out he would crown them king and queen of killing animals. There's a first game, I'm guessing this animal business didn't start in the second, so likely this game ends with a cliffhanger because I highly doubt "The End" is the last option. I hope Wilde Dick and them Dick Boys in their confederate-flag-roofed raft come back again in Dicke Wild 3: The Dickpocalypse.

Outside of not knowing what the story is, the game is fun. I enjoy rail shooters, and this one is playfully easy to sit or stand in with relative ease and lack of motion sickness. But there is one problem, and that is the never-ending maddening loop of music that never. fucking. ends.
You are going to turn off music in the game or wish the guns could kill you in real life. I'm not suggesting it, I'm telling you that you're going to do it because if you don't you're going to realize it's a mistake. Get spotify, pandora, itunes, zune, whatever the fuck you use--prime that bitch at 20% volume and relax. If you followed my advice, you will forever think that cute song playing at the shop is neat, and not the equivalent of a song quieting down as your GPS announces some bullshit like railroad crossings ahead. If you didn't follow my advice and followed it after suffering, you can't shoot the radio. I unload about three rounds into Ol' Dicky boy's head each time we leave just because.

Despite my vulgar review this game is mighty kid-friendly. I'm sure your kids will laugh and rejoice as they finally have the complete virtual sensation of hunting and killing animals who are shooting at you because they're on their property. But in all honesty you should buy this game. From what I've been told it's a great game to add to your library to help you get into VR and standing while playing VR, so get it as one of your starters since it has co-op for your friend to join you. If you have motion sickness this may be a good intro VR title for you in general, along with other similar games centered around using a stationary position, or teleporting.

I've been playing this game entirely in co-op, and I'm really enjoying my experience.
I don't want to say I'm a seasoned or pro VR player, but I am ashamed of my supernumerary VR playtime hours. I feel like this game could offer more, but it's a solid game with great mechanics, and not a lot of bugs. A few times we've had people shoot us from behind checkpoint gates while we couldn't return fire, that's always fun.
The major bug that I really have an issue with and combat every time I play this is how performance gets progressively worse. In Co-Op, regardless of if I host or join, my performance slowly crawls down to 24fps after starting at 90. This isn't too bad, but REQUIRES I exit and re-enter a game or the game to remove/clear it.

I feel like the weapon progression system is fun, but the first few gun upgrades aren't really worth it until you get the SMG. I hope I get a better shotgun eventually, because the last one I unlocked was a better revolver replacement than shotgun replacement. The guns are quirky, you'll learn their neat mechanics over time, but get handy with that first revolver. It's surprisingly more effective than 90% of the first 6 guns.

Overall I recommend Dick Tracy 2 at full price, and this discount price is absolutely sexy. Worth it for a fun time with friends if you're just in the mood for shooting and not a lot of scooting...just turn off the fucking in-game music for the love of god.

More of a "meh" than a strong endorsement.

I got this because I wanted to crossplay this between my PSVR and Index-- and it's good for that, works fine. It's a pretty straightforward rail-shooter with not much explaining needing to be done.

Beyond those positives, it's pretty bland. You can't shut off the (very repetitive) music, the enemies seem to single out one player over the other, and the easiest difficulty is actually still pretty hard.

But still... it's the ONLY cross-play rail shooter out, so there's not much else you can prescribe to people looking for one.

Great fun!

The Dick Wilde games are the absolute cream of the crop when it comes to wave shooters.

Easy to get started and a lot of fun to play. Great for VR beginners and those just looking for something casual and simple to play.

I was looking forward to beat Dick Wilde 2 in coop with my wife. And actually it's exactly what we were looking for, as my wife prefers games with "simple game mechanics".

Unfortunately, the coop mode is a completely broken, asynchronous mess. It seems like both clients spawn their own enemies, which the game somehow tries to synchronize. The result is that both players see different enemies while they somehow "die multiple times", giving you cash each time.
The latter also breaks the loot/cash mechanics, as you're constantly getting 2-3 times as much money as intended.

Absolutely no recommendation if you're looking to play coop.

Seems like a perfect game for VR. Rail-style arcade shooter and it looks great in VR. Problem is the game is way too hard! Even playing on Easy this game is ridiculously difficult after the first two stages. Makes the quarter suckers at arcades seem generous.
