Short, a bit broken. In the beginning the screen is black, had to open the Dashboard to see where the book was and walk to it little by little. Picking stuff up doesn't work too well so i had to flail my hand around until i felt a vibration, indicating I can pick something up. It's pretty straight-forward from there, the experience lasted 9 minutes maybe less if you can get past the black screen faster. Don't recommend this even for the low price, decided to try it considering the developers other works.
Wasn\'t sure what to expect going in, but for less than the price of a cup of coffee, I gave it a shot. Short but intense experience, can\'t really say much without spoiling it. Visually, the models and textures could use improvement; not sure if it\'s intentional, but a lot of visuals don\'t mesh well together and immersion suffers slightly as a result. Also, the book you start the experience with is just awful, literally MS Paint textures with 4th wall breaking...
Aside from these minor issues, the experience itself is great if your stomach can handle it.
Uh...
Not sure what just happened, but based on my research (Google), I'm 90% sure I was just inducted into The Illuminati.
Maybe not the best experience for the VR noobs, or those with weak guts, due to some perspective shifts, and artificial motion.
While extremely short, this does explore some very interesting perspectives. Can't honestly say whether or not it's worth the buck, but I do love weird things. This fits the bill. And for less than the price of those beaks and feet that the fast food industry calls "chicken nuggets". So, take that as you will.
7/10
Would consider giving my soul to The Dark Lord again.
Short little experience along the same lines as The Cubicle.. worth the buck imho:)
Most scary I read on other reviews, so I said need !
What a joke, just flashy psychedelic very short clip...
ok ok respect to the job done by the guy but lol
This is a 10 minute game where you enjoy a good book and then realize the bread you ate had gone bad.
Its ok for the price with the limited options out there right now. Extremely poor performance concidering what it contains.
Wow this was an amazing experience!
for 1.19 nzd it is well worth its money
I love these weird types of experiences it makes me feel very uneasy.
give it a shot at $1.19 if you own a htc vive :D!
If you're a tightwad who expects hours of enjoyment for a dollar, then don't get this. But if you like paying developers for their time and creativity this is worth it. Some really enjoyable reality-bending scenes in here and I want to see more like this on the Vive. I hope that the developer allows for a "free-play" version to spend more time in specific scenes. It will be great to show off to friends who can handle the motion. Definitely the textures could use improvements but overall gets the point across.
A nice little horror experience. Very intense.
At first I thought I was about to experience a horror animation, and while it had elements of it, I felt the very real buildup of an unknown force, and instead of getting the usual "build-up/payoff" structure of a horror animation, it would just twist and turn you to different events. However, it was quite a nice feeling. Genuine anxiety, with a payoff that's not really scary, but a feeling of relief more so. I think this would hinder a standard animation or game out-of-vr, but in this case it helped it. Plus there are some really nice visuals.
short but really enjoyed it, has some stomach turning bits but funny to watch friends on it. i would recommend this as so cheap and the items isn't buggy or glitchy when picking up. give it a go
A short, creepy and creative little experience for the Vive.
Great "WTF is this" Experience.... They need to rename this game Acid Trip. This is what I imagine one might be like.
Look, I've played a lot of VR games on Steam. This is terrible. The 'horror' part is really just where they took all the 'Best VR Practices for not inducing nasua' and then did them all.
The entire experience is 6 minutes, total. I know it's only a dollar, but honestly there's free games inifinitely better than this. I'm surprised the author has the audacity to charge for what is essentially a very poor demo.
Totally cool experience, at certain scenes I had to sit down or else I would probably fall lol.
It's very short but worth it.
Nice experience, comes in at little under 10 minutes and is really intriguing. Costs much less than a rollercoaster ride and provides more entertainment, I'll probably go back a few times since I really liked the atmosphere. Might lead to paranoia if experienced under the influence of drugs, I assume (not that I'd know).
Worth a $1.
I look forward to making other people sample this.
One time is probably enough for me.
i liked it, but its really short
its cheap, but i dont feel like it should cost any money at all tbh
there are more interesting VR experiences out there that are free...
I've spent 99 cents on upgrading an order of gross french fries to a larger order of gross french fries. The 99 cents I spent on this demo did not fill me with regret and shame like those fries did.
It's really a fantastic experience. My only complaint is that it's not long enough, but those 7 minutes are pretty awesome. It's a great demo for people who already have a little experience in VR. I wouldn't recommend it as an introduction to VR though, because the motion may be too much for beginners or those who are prone to nausea.
And seriously, for the price, you get a cool 7 minute demo to try out and show other people. In my mind, it is a must purchase for Vive owners
Short, weird, disorienting, and amazingly fun. It isn't a long experience but I have been back to it a few times, and probably will again when looking for a fun mind sending experience. Recommended if you are into trying new experiences, and don't mind zero gameplay.
Meh....if you have tried all the exciting stuff and you want more but are in that phase where you don't know what else to get I guess this is worth a try. It is only 0.99c and it is definitely good for 1 or 2 play throughs, kinda trippy kinda weird experience type thing. I recommend it mostly because I want anyone and everyone developing content for VR to know that their efforts are appreciated! Toss the guy a buck and give it a go!
Have to say that this is interesting, even among other "experience" VR games. Definitely helps that it only costs as much as a gas station coffee because it'll really only last you as long as a gas station coffee would.
Also important to note: this game focuses on messing up perspectives, which I thought meant that there'd be weird puzzles or cool setpieces with mirrors or something. It ACTUALLY means that you'll probably spend at least two minutes hands-and-knees on the floor because you're so dizzy and disoriented you forgot how to walk. I wasn't straight-up motion sick persay, but I was at least 20% sure I was going to die.
Basically the video game equivalent of a morning gas station coffee, which is not the diss it sounds like. Come on, I know you all like gas station coffees or else the line to the cash register wouldn't be so ungodly long on weekdays.
It's a short experience (~5 minutes), but it still gives a silly yet creepy vibe. There are some unique perspective changes throughout the experience that show off VR in a really neat way (though it might make you dizzy/nauseous). It felt like a nightmare with its dream-like oddities. It's well made, and for only $1, I think it's worth it, especially if you want to show friends.
Very short and non-interactive. Can't go wrong for 99 cents though. The ending creeped me the heck out.
This is exactly six minutes long and virtually uninteractive. Not even a walking simulator. Save your dollar.
Honestly one of the better experiences for the Vive so far. Kinda cheesy, kinda short.. but still good. But DO NOT watch any preview, etc.. I went in blind just seeing some guys recommendation and a 20 second clip.. so I had no idea what to expect. Needless to say.. it was awesome.
Very short, corny. At no point did I feel creeped out like the intention seemed to be, it was too over the top and nonsensical. Feels like a bunch of random effects and assets thrown at the player. Just as I was thinking it was starting to go somewhere interesting, the credits popped up.
Hate to bash on some experimental VR stuff, but it really doesn't feel like something that should be charged for.
Good way to mess with your inner ear. Short experience - great demo fodder for the adventurous.
A journey to a wonderful place.
Very short, not very creepy, but another tech demo. For $.99, it was worth the effort on the developer.
A very trippy experience. The developer did a good job of using visual and audio cues to make you feel like the events transpiring were actually happening. Kind of short, and no replayability, but if you're looking for VR experiences, I recommend.
"absolutely no jumpscares" they said
I nearly shit myself when balls started falling from the window-jumpscare
I nearly cried when the house roof got torn by the KKK-jumpscare
a game that was amazing and full of jumpscares for a whole 7.4 min!!

Interesting game!

Интересная игра советую!
One and done. Interesting concept, but in the end, not much to do. Good experience for vivers who can't afford games yet.
I really enjoyed playing this game. I had my sister play it and she had to take of the headset because she got so freaked out.

I am still not desensitized to VR horror. For a while, I could never get through the first section of the game because the idea of being alone in a small cabin with big windows in the woods at night was creepy enough. (Especially after watching the movie Hush...) But once I forced my way through that opening part of this minigame (or mostly non-interactive VR short), it really lost its horror edge and became just a bunch of weird colors and shapes and unnecessary changes in perspective. A pointless gimmick and waste of time.
A game like any other VR game, enjoy the immersive world of nintendo 64 graphics and vague nonsense as you wander around. lol it's a buck so that's what anyone should expect for a buck.
First off, hail Stan. I'm pretty sure he likes this title. It is a short, but very sweet creep-you-out experience with pentagrams and eyeballs. I loved the environment, both inside the house and out. It could have used a little bit of a delay before triggering the next sequence, so you might want to savor and soak in the house before it transforms and everything goes haywire. This is an excellent way to spend a space buck
This VR experience tripped me out in unique ways. A+
An interesting experience, and for 50 cents on sale, worht the cost.
No jump scares, but does a good jon of weirding you out.
A dollar to be sent on a bad drug trip for six minutes.
Directionless is a weird, trippy/nightmarish little VR gem. Very unsettling atmosphere, no jump scares, takes about 5 minutes. Definitely worth $0.99. Some of the movement could cause simulator sickness (one brief section in particular)
For 99 cents, this wild ride is well worth the price of admission. It's not really a horror game. It's trippy. Very trippy. It's an experiment that works very well and needs to be explored further. I would like an experience like this to last much longer.
Short and very weird – I’ve played through it twice and I’m still not quite sure what’s going on. The graphics are amateurish, which reduces some the scare factor significantly, but do not underestimate the disorientation – the whole world changes scale, spins, and moves around you. Not for those easily effected by VR motion sickness! There’s not really anything interactive to do here, and not much replayability, so I’m right on the fence on this one. Based on its low price, I’ll give it Thumbs: UP!
I'll never get those 6 minutes of my life back.
maybe just for test or VR gadget. O . N . L . Y . this is not a game.
0/10
dark screen and creepy music, game in the window looks gross
Would get directionless again/10
But really though this is an audiovisual masterpeice that really makes you feel directionless and dont get me started on the story which implies that vertigo is just a game within the directionless world which also implies that blueshift is also just a game in the directionless universe. In terms of gameplay it may at first seem shallow but look closer and you will find that directionless is actually a deeply strategic speedrunning game. For example if you going the pillow around you will be lifted from the house instead of going grocery shopping which saves you 5 minutes. It was that my fellow reveiwers only played the game once and missed out on all its depth and simply derided it as "an experience" where all you do is stand in place and watch things happen for ten minutes.
