Nostalgic, few glitches from time to time but most of the content comes with the gold edition and there's a lot of fun to be had. You can't use any character for any playset, but you can in the toybox and toybox related quests. Wish there was local multiplayer but I still enjoy it solo.

DarkShadow
DarkShadow

Best Disney game ever, sad it was shut down, this gives you all the playsets EXCEPT FOR (Nemo & Marvel Battlegrounds) all the characters except for (Nemo, Dory, and some Marvels) as well not including (Ghost Rider Power Discs) however, you get all the STAR WARS characters and the story modes. NOTE: No Longer has Online access due to Disney shutting down the servers :(

I highly recommend this game if you've never played this game before however I find it strange that half of the characters are missing so I'll recommend getting the apollo 11 mod to make this game a little better

zeroavatar

overall it's a pretty good game as long as you don't mind a few missing characters but you could always mod them into the game so it's not really a big deal

The game may not be the same anymore without multiplayer but trust me it's still really fun. The amount of variety this game has is incredibly astounding, you'll be playing this game for straight weeks, if not, an entire month. You can play three star wars games, play an inside out platforming game, play a mario kart copycat, build your very own city with several toys, unlock so many toys, etc.

Making a toy box does take some time to get used to and it can sometimes be very annoying. For instance, I always accidentally delete an object by simply clicking on it. I end up making a mess whenever that happens. Other than that, it's really fun and time consuming. The characters are amazing. Each one has their own abilities and skill trees. Which makes them actual distinct characters, not skins. Not all of them are amazing, though. Like, the toy story characters. They don't have any combo attacks. They're pretty boring and useless IMO because all they do is bash enemies and throw pixar balls. It's not what it sounds like. For some reason, the game crashes every time I open a toy box that has too many going on. I can't tell if it's my computer's fault or the game.

If you're not that good at making your very own toy boxes, race tracks, and/or battle arenas, don't worry. This game has templates which is very helpful and generally amazing. This entire game is amazing and it has a very special place in my heart. It's sad that upcoming disney infinity games will never be made due to cancellation. This is the last, and probably, the best Disney infinity game that we have in this world. Long live Disney Infinity. 8/10.

so many memories yet so sad they don't have the marvel battlegrounds and dory update. if you played it on xbox and liked it, its worth getting on PC.

It's pretty good but I'd prefer to have Community Content on this one like the consoles. Modding it makes the game more enjoyable.

Awesome game for the kiddos.. We have a blast playing this game. They love the different areas you can go to, and we have so much fun on this game!

waste of 30$. I'm sure this game was fun when the servers were online and you could actually play creations but ever since disney shut down the servers 5 years ago, this game is a shell of it's former self. a husk if you will. didn't even bother with what content that was already there. i tried some of the nostalgia bait characters, they all played pretty much the same. you'd think with ninja theory involved, the combat would be better than what it currently is.

I didn't even try the apollo mod which adds 30+ characters too this version, I just didn't care. there is NO POINT too play these games. you can't play the content from the past 2 "versions" so you have too waste more money too even play those despite they could've EASILY ported them too this version so it'd have more single player content.

disney shut this game down prematurely even though this game WAS making money when it was alive. such is the life of the soulless mouse.

don't buy. there IS a community for this game and they might be able too make their own servers or something but I wouldn't hold my breath. shame because the mechanics are there and the platforming is solid. just move on and don't waste your money like I did.

underrated sandbox game just because it's mostly aimed at kids

if you take the time and compassion you can build a lot of shit in this game, it has more possibility than minecraft but it's a lost cause since there's no split screen or online functionality on the PC port. the true disney infinity experience is sadly lost to time and I don't think it's coming back. what a shame

This game can be tons of fun with the ability to create your own world with whatever you want in it with buildings, cars, animals to ride, planes, towns people, enemies and much much more. These span across the Disney/Pixar universe, the Marvel universe and the Star Wars universe. However most of the stuff like buildings, towns people, weapons and cars and more are locked and have to be purchased in the Toy Store but it isnt hard to get the sparks to buy them.

As it is the Gold Edition, this means the games comes with every character that was put into Disney Infinity without the need for the board and characters. This includes all the Disney/Pixar characters like Mickey Mouse, Buzz and Woody, The Incredibles, Inside out characters, Lightning McQueen, and much more. As for the Marvel characters, there is the Avengers, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Spiderman, Villians like Venom, Ultron and Green Goblin and more characters. Finally there are Star Wars characters such as Finn, Rey and Kylo Ren from the Force Awakens, Luke, Han, Leia and Darth Vader from the original trilogy and finally the charcters from the shows like The Clone wars and Star Wars Rebels.

Finally the game comes with a few stories to play through including a story from the clone wars, the original trilogy and the story from the Force Awakens. There are also more origanal Disney Infinity Stories to play. Each character can also be leveled up and can unlock new moves in their skill tree's. Also certain characters have alternate costumes such as spiderman's symbiote suit.

Only wish servers didnt get shut down so i could still play multiplayer :(

Your experience may vary, but this game did not work for me. It basically refused to let me into the window, minimizing itself every time I tried to get into the game. I was able to get in once, only to find out there is no windowed mode. Apparently there is a mod to fix this, but it did not work for me. Keep that in mind when buying this game.

For what it's worth, when the game works, it works just fine.

super great game i bought the bundle for 7.50 dollar all the games are good 1.0 is all about the original disney character, 2.0 is all about marvel spider man avengers and guardian of the galaxy 3.0 is about star wars and inside out thank you disney for the cheap price glad i didnt spend a fortune on the console version of toy to life characters

I am so shocked at this game for what they made honestly.

First, I am glad that I finally played open world star wars game which I wanted since I was a kid.

Second, game mechanics are way too good than I expected. (It even has logic gates, connecting grid, creating systems etc)

And third, since this is a sandbox game (you can build, play on a scenerio like star wars, or even create your own scenerio) you can do whatever, I mean literally whatever you like. It's like ModNation Racers but contains disney.

In summary, if you like marvel - disney - star wars and open world - sandbox games, I suggest you to buy this game on sale. I know it looks like very childish on the outside but the gameplay itself is very satisfying.

The port isn't great and the online doesn't work but otherwise a fun game to mess around in, would recommend if you don't already own it on console and don't want to spend your life savings on figures.

All characters unlocked without buying thousands of plastic figures: Very good.

Both my kids love to play this game: Good.

No local or online multiplayer so they can't play together: Bad.

No way of downloading new custom levels anymore so I have to spend time making levels for them: Very bad.

Someone please make a way to share levels unofficially. It is a shame as it would suit the steam workshop perfectly.
It is overall a good game, it just has these few issues holding the PC version back from becoming the best version.

What all versions should have been from the start for this game series. All of the content, right out of the box. Maybe if they started off like this, and kept it like this, the series would still be getting funds from the Disney higher ups. This gold edition truly shows the full potential of Disney Infinity that not many saw within the console versions.

It's really an awesome open-world/sandbox game especially if you're a fan of the featured franchise. You can do lots of things in-game than just build, explore, and fight. Despite observing that this game has difficulty being at the top or become relevant, I rate this game a 9/10.

I remember when I was between 10 and 12 and would play this game all the time. It was great then, and it's a nice little time waster now. However, don't buy this expecting to get the full game. This edition stopped receiving updates right around the time Marvel Battlegrounds came out, meaning that a decent chunk of characters, playsets, and other content is missing. Along with a handful of glitches, one of which is a bit personal for me (Flynn's arcade unable to be unlocked), I am still going to recommend this game. It's a lot cheaper and convenient than tracking down and purchasing the console version. And even with some modding, you can get the missing characters. Overall, it's the same game I loved, just missing some of my favorite elements.

The most ambitious crossover of our time! (Not really) A game! That allows you to assemble your minds greatest fan fiction whilst under the influence of a power hungry Mouse.
Having the power to make the fantasies that lie within the deepest roots of your imagination.
Do you create Gotham city? Featuring Vader as the Darth Knight.
Or New York? Featuring Elastagirl as Spider-Gwen.

Truly the hardest questions...

Final thoughts:
Gameplay = Pretty damn good
Graphics = YOU ARE A TOY!!!!!!!
Music = Classical
Dialogue = Fantastic!
Playsets = Awesome!
Toy Box = Promising, but still slightly limited
Online Play with friends? = (0_0) Non existant.

This game was always deserving of the same amount of hype the lego skywalker saga received and then some. It's ironic how you can build your own worlds and scenarios in DI but not in the majority of lego games. Unlike the LSS, the similar-sized hub worlds have more substance and are far more populated not only with citizens, droids and jedi but recurring groups of enemies to prevent the experience from becoming stale. It's a crime that DI has basically been forgotten as it is the massive and stylized Star Wars, Marvel and Disney game fans have always wanted. Buzz Lightyear vs Darth Vader? You got it. Luke Skywalker vs Zurg? Yessir.

I absolutely love Disney Infinity! I played all the games on the PS3 for hundreds of hours and had most of the figures. This is a seriously addicting game if you're a fan of Disney and it's owned IPs. Each game is pretty similar. The only differences are the playsets and the toybox. 3.0 is really the only one you need if you're just a casual Disney Infinity fan. It offers a bunch of modes and the toybox is the best in 3.0. The most imprtant thing to mention is that it doesn't have every single character. It has all of the 1.0 and 2.0 characters but it's missing some of the last ones they made for 3.0. Baloo, Alice, The Mad Hatter, Dory, and, Nemo are some of the exclusions. It's also missing the Finding Dory playset that came with Nemo and Dory. Not having every character means that you won't be able to get the Ultimate unlock for 3.0, The Keyblade. Overall the value here is still outstanding and buying all of the figures and playsets individually would cost thousands! As long as you don't mind the missing character's, Disney Infinity is an easy recommendation and provides hours upon hours of content!
