One of the best games I played in years. Completely hooked till the end and playing a second time still offers guaranteed fun. 100% recommended.
It's feel like you just jump into the new world of Rivellon. The true definition of CRPG as it should be
One of the best rpgs of the current gen. Larian really did a good job and I cant wait for a full BG3
I killed everyone that I laid my eyes upon to level up
Best Turn-Based RPG I've ever played on PC. The Right amount of difficulty even on the normal difficulty. Nice scaling and very good story. I really like Turn-Based RPGs and I would actually replay this a lot of times because it has a lot of choices and gameplay styles. I wish I could play this with friends but I don't know how to convince them to play the game considering they prefer free-to-play games with multiplayer or multiplayer games that doesn't cost more than $10. I love this game so much and I haven't even finished one playthrough even though I have so much hours played.
so good it ruined the rpg genre for me because everything else is dirt in comparison
2 years since I have played this game. I poured out over 100 hours initially. It is still worth it. 10/10 favourite game of all time.
Amazing. DND but not taking forever
Quests are all a fucking pain in the ass, poorly written garbage that you have no reasonable way of figuring out without constantly referring to guides. I just want to finish this fucking game and it's fighting me every step of the way.
Strong combat, presentation and heroic voice acting are marred by slow movement speed, lack of inventory management, uninspired gear progression, an overwhelming quest log, hundreds (thousands?) of lootable containers that the player is incentivized to check and strange, pseudo-flowery writing that feels otherwise unremarkable. YMMV.
dope! good. give them money for a good game? yes we all think so :P
Haven't beaten the game yet but I had sex with a skeleton, so that's must play for everyone.
100/10 in my book
you can have se.x with skeleton
a lot of replay ability, great modding community tons of extra content.
Engaging story, beautiful graphics, super well written characters and lines. It's really an impressive game in every aspect. A must play especially if you have friends to join you in the journey.
Very good game indeed, especialy when played with degenerates also there is so much to do in this game. love it
I'm not a big RPG guy but I can't stop playing this game over the YEARS! Super fun. Fighting is filled with lots of fun! (One guy turns bad guy into a chicken, next guy throws him in oil, third guy lights it all on fire...satisfying...)
Lots of fun for a solo or coop playthrough although I recommend the latter! enjoy questing
They should've called this "conflagration, the game", as in all combat it's basically a firefighter / arsonist simulator, where you are either busy setting things on fire or trying to prevent yourself from being set on fire. But still if you're looking for a fun co-op game to play with your significant other, look no further. The story line and characters are muuuuch better than in the first part and the gameplay is really pretty nice. Also it looks great. Just don't make an undead pyromancer...
excellent game just needs a little bit of patience if you aren't familiar with these type of games, but definitely one of the best experience to people who know how to enjoy these type of game
Became Arena Champion after sacrificing my team mate to get all the kills 10/10
Best RPG I ever played, not even gonna say anything else, just play this shit
rich dark story, superior game especially in coop with friends.
One of the best games I have ever played, incredibly deep. Turn based combat with great environmental effects. So many options on how to play. Buy the game, play the game, hope for a third installment, this is the way
65 Hours to finish the game and we missed SOOO much! The only thing that limits what you can do in this game is your imagination.
I just finished a mission where I had to help a rat fall in love with a turtle. This was in the same level where I dispatched a crafty necromancer using a lightning spell that arced across all of his summons to kill him. Also in the same level as where I entered the 'boudoir' of a Spider Queen and struck a bargain for my life. So...yeah. 10/10.
This is literally the best rpg I've ever played
One of my top 3 Games of all time.
Very great game with a great story that deserves an successor. Redheads are hot. 😉
Well-polished and worthy of all the praise I read about it. Playing it with friends is a blast, once you figure out to set the hosting!
Sometimes the talking can go on and on but the actual game is fantastic! Played through the entire first one as well which was so much fun and loving the second. 10/10 would recommend of you enjoyed the first and turn based combat :)
Very entertaining. I would strongly recommend. Got it during the Steam sale for cheap too lol. The game has a steep learning curve but the story and lore is deep and entertaining. My only criticism is wanting more than 4 members in party at a time but it is what it is.
It started my love for virtual tabletop RPGS. For a long time I had played DnD semi-exclusively with my buddies and I always wanted a DnD video game that felt free and adventurous. Well, here you go its perfect. The characters are amazing, design amazing, customization of even the base game characters is amazing, and modding it is extremely easy. I would only recommend this game to those i deemed worthy.
Great game for people who like DnD and or RPG games in general
This is a masterpiece, it give you the freedom to play the game your way even if that means just destroying everything you see, and you can do it all in multiplayer too.
If you love RPG games you should try it out.
This is my third try at finishing the game and I'm not letting go until it's done. First playthrough I made the mistake of playing on Tactician mode thinking I'll be able to handle it. I managed to finish Act 1 but was completely drained when I entered Act 2. Gave the game a go immediately after but on Classic mode, again finished Act 1 but couldn't bring myself to continue. This time around I bit into it harder than before and having the time of my life.
Very good game, just finished the tutorial after about 32h, killed nearly every NPC on Fort Joy and sadly lost my cat to fire. 11/10 would kill every NPC again
Great story and great customisation.
Masterpiece in every single way. By far the best CRPG I've ever played. I could go on writing a heap of extra stuff but there really is no need to, if you like RPGs it's a absolute no brainer.
*Special Mention* If you can get a party of 4 dedicated to play through and RP the main story I'd love to see the results of the semi-competitive main plot come to fruition (no spoilers).
One of the greatest RPG's of our time, nuff said.
Bro this game has me addicted, when i'm at work all can think about is this game
All in all a great game. Last rpg i played was BG2 when that was fresh, and i was quite certain i would never experience the same thrill in a game. Well, D2 original sin managed to give prove me otherwise.
Yeah, addicting AF game. Warning! Don't start unless you can afford the time it takes. The story will pull you in and if you gotta work then you will lose sleep. Trust me.
amazing, especially with friends, good story set peices where choices really can shape your adventure, one of the best games on steam
its mad lit. old but mad lit. The abilities and spells, the usage of terrain to change the battlefield (ex, changing rain puddles into electrified puddles to give chance to stunning the enemy or casting fireball to an oily area to cause a massive explosion that trails the oil from beginning to end).
Its just litt tho...
Great game with well thought out story and mechanics
great game, but it fails to introduce or discuss even the most basic mechanics. quests are onfusing and unclear. you require a guide for almost everything. unique interactions like healing undead or what of the EIGHTY DIFFERENT EFFECTS combines with fire are not explained. great game, shitty teaching
I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the boldest people playing this game. I am a single further to my Son, who is 41 now. My sonar got this game for Christmas from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and she started playing. By the end of the week he had over 9000 hours on this game. This was horrible for men, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always rout with his friends or just, watching YouTube. So i decided top make an Steamy accountant and get this gamed to seem if I could maybe play alongside him. loaded intone then gamed, made my character ampersand world band restarted playing button I waste stuck bong whatever you've nowhere supposed top down. I basked my reason afor whelp land ghee ghosted area gamed forza men topiary join. loved mitt was bit twas then best time chad spent without my Songs since my housewife chad candied. This game has never sincere brought shame and my songs closer again understand now well actually spend time together outside their housed together was swell. This gamer reminded men that there's funny tool bee chad win everything, sand pit hasn't brought bother men land my Songs many happy memories.
nothing beats the smell of napalm in the morning
good game, you can have a lot of funs with friends by playing the game seriously and strategical or be goofy
Wowza, what a game. complex combat, endless discoveries through story and random findings with uses of unique skills and dialog. I finished my play through in about 63 hours and after playing through I know i could start from the beginning and have a new and exciting experience where I could make many different choices that would impact how I play through the game. If you're bored with the standard game then you can download a million mods and unique adventures other players have created to spice it up.
Overall this game is amazing and IS my favorite game I've ever played and you should make the leap and stick through the seemingly hard barrier to entry based on the game knowledge or lack there of, and play all the way through and experience this magical game that will go down as a life long game highlight.
Best rpg experience so far! The details of this game are blowing my mind 10/10
It took me 30 hours of playtime to learn it's time to restart and spec this team properly.
awesome quality and a so deep narrative game
so many objects, gear, quests... woaw
An exceptional RPG. The tactical battles and freedom with character building and ability options are phenomenal.
D&D without the long ass waiting for everything
What can I say but its the closes thing to playing a DnD campaign on the pc.
omg good its good graphics, has the dnd style love , and o yea its good if u want easy mode be a conjurer otherwise super awesome
awsome game, what else to say... just the louncher is a pain... seriously go mine data somewhere else!!!
One of the best RPG games I've ever played. Worth every minute and every dollar spent. 10 cheeses out of 10.
Одна из лучших РПГ игр в которые я играл. Топ за свои деньги и время. 10 торговцев сыров из 10.
One of the best games I've ever played! Great story, game play. Every decision you make impacts the story. So many great little details in the game. Combat system is insanely fun. Overall it is just brilliant. I haven't been so enthralled with a game in so long. I feel bad I waited so long to play it. I cannot wait for a sequel and look forward to the full release of Baldur's Gate 3. After beating Classic I'm starting on Tactician mode, wish me luck!
one of, if not THE best turn based game ever made
Great game except for the leveling system. It's the same problem as AC: Odyssey: there is no side content because if you don'do do the optional quests, then you won't level up enough to go through the main quests. Unlike AC: Odyssey, though, this Divinity 2 is way less streamlined and most game systems are thrown at you without prior explanation. In this respect, it reminds me of Dark Souls. Yet, whereas I pulled through the rough aspects of Dark Souls games thanks to the amazing combat system - which rewards skill and understanding of the combat system - in Divinity 2 it's just impossible to win a higher level boss by skill - it's all down to doing the side quests and leveling up - unless we talk of metagaming strategies (i.e. teleport an enemy away of his minions or use the gateway system to get yourself out of a jail. Basically, teleporting is the most crucial skill in this game XD). I loved the combat system, I loved the story and characters, I just get bored having to do every side quest and listen to every grandma story to progress through the game.
Amazing game, highly recommend.
Man, this game does not hold your hand at all and it feels like you're free to do anything. Within the first 2 hours I had lead poisonous frogs to a camp and made the inhabitants fight them off while I slept soundly in their beds, fought a guard who killed my black cat for no reason and got thrown in jail all because I took a merchants life because she wouldn't sell a book to me. 10/10 would do again!
If you're a fan of expansive character growth in your turn-based story RPGs then this is the game for you. I've never been much of a D&D style game fan, but Divinity: Original Sin II just had such a strong personality that it drew me in. Beautifully voice acted and interesting story progression keeps you hooked for longer than you'd think it would, and the possibilities for out-of-the-box thinkers are enormous here. I've bought the game twice (PC and PS4) and I've never regretted it. Most of my play time was done on the PS4 port, which is a great version to play, but the PC version is undoubtedly superior. Larian deserve support for giving us a $60 (when I bought it) game that feels like it's worth $100 in an industry that constantly likes to do the opposite.
One of the best RPGs of all time. I am not even especially big RPG fan, but if you have any interest, give this one a try. It deserves place among best games of all time list.
It has lot of freedom, and items don't just disappear because you don't have them. If you give someone a ring, you can complete a mission with/for them, and then pickpocket them to get the ring pack, or just kill them. You can in fact kill everyone in this game if you want. Reason why evil villains murder everyone? XP! But don't worry, this game is not over reliant on XP and grind.
And how you can use that XP is awesome. Just because you picked ranger does not mean you need to be archer and specialise in archery. If you want, you can become mighty sorcerer, even if you would still prefer to use a bow as well. There are some limits in the game, some skills can only be developed so much, but game does not force you to do anything.
Voice actors do their job, narrator is especially pleasant and i really feel they are welcome part of the game. For me voice acting adds so much, just reading text often makes me skip them even if it would be well written.
I've never been interested in traditional tabletop stuff like DnD, Pathfinder, Shadowrun and whatever else.
But this? Fantastical DnD-themed RPG game.
Good for solo, even better with co-op. Various races with their own attributes. Various classes to pick from too, although you can mix-and-match to go about killing the enemies in turn-based combat. Companions & dialogue are enjoyable, the adventure feels a lot different with them in a good way. Did I also mention you can talk to a fat fire slug princess with the necessary skill?
All in all, it does really feel like you're finding your place in the world, even if you spend a fuck ton of hours in wretched Fort Joy at first. Divinity is a good damn fucking RPG. Can't wait to play Baldur's Gate 3 whenever that's fully released :)
i normally don't even enjoy turn-based rpgs and bought this for "well maybe i can enjoy like 2-3 hours of fun" and it turned out one of the most enjoyable games i have ever played.
BUT i gotta be honest there are couple flaws.
1) Taunt does not work with shackles of pain (which makes the linked guy hurt when they damage you), they just ignore you real hard and go after your teammate.
2- FUCKING PEEPER PIECE OF SHIT USELESS TRASHCAN FUCKING CHICKEN.
first thing is not really an issue bcoz it would be really op otherwise. but PEEPER? OH MY FUCKING GOD ONE OF THE MOST DUMBEST CHARACTER I HAVE EVER SEEN.
other than peeper 10/10
A truly excellent game.
Satisfying strategy heavy combat with interesting characters and a captivating choice based story. The music is great, the writing is INCREDIBLE, now one of my favourite RPG's.
I went into this game having played some of the first one, which i hadn't really enjoyed so i was pretty sceptical. Immediately after an hour of playing i was having a blast, quite literally because if you have a pyromancer you are going to get used to seeing the colour orange.
Might take a moment to learn how to play, and you might find yourself trying to squeeze the exp out of every living thing just for equal footing in a hard boss fight ( I spent about 40 minutes stun locking a troll many levels higher than me on a bridge until it died a horrible electrical death).
A very enjoyable game.
Games been a blast to play with friends! Wish that if they joined after starting solo they didn't have to play as NPC's. Love the combat!
Fantastic game with a solid story and gameplay that rewards learning and creativity. Absolutely worth every penny.
I've never left the first act. Just keep making new characters. 10/10
Amazing, by far the greatest RPG I've played in terms of build variety with different skills, classes, weapons, armour etc, new skills change combat drastically, instead of the usual formula of a wee bit more damage or more health
Finally overcame a steep learning curve, dealt with god awful autosave system that put me back literal hours before key boss fights that I already beat after several attempts, and when I went to load my game today the save file is gone and I haven't found a way to retrieve it.
I guess if you're already in love with the franchise fine, but this game is put together pretty awful. If you're not already a big Baldur's Gate/CRPG fan, skip the frustration.
My first kiss was stolen by Radeka The Witch
great RPG, Kinda overwhelming, but good
