The game is fun. You simply have to accept that it will progressively speed up, with more and more faster Worleys with less and less warning, until you have too many types of balls to make matches when needed. The game also has a habit of sending you up to 12 consecutive red balls when you desperately need a green or blue to keep playing. If you can accept the the game will (relatively rapidly) beat you, then it can be a fun ride.
48 hours in this game and I regret nothing. Very high skill ceiling, big brain time required to master the art of Dynomite.
Normal endless is where the real party goes down, watch out for Whirly tho he goes crazy.
I really dig this prehistoric take on the old bubble shooting games, with some fun extra modes to keep it fresh. It really has that early 2000s charm. And the music is sweet. It's like... stone-age-new wave? One of PopCap's best imo.
I don't know if anyone would buy this besides people like me who are nostalgic for it, especially considering that the graphics haven't aged the greatest, but it's a cute dino themed bubble shooter with lots of different fun modes and very satisfying sound effects.
Also it works great with touch controls on Steam Deck, so it's a great casual game to pass time with.
"Welcome to Dynomite!" Boy I heard that line, I haven't felt this nostalgic when I rediscovered this ancient piece of my childhood and my god it is truly a Blast from the Past! This prehistoric bubble shooter still feels as fun and fresh like it did back on old windows computers in 2002. Carefully aim your shoots as you fire eggs away or else that poor stegosaurus & triceratops faces extinction from the angry sauropod, Mama Brontosaurus. Complete with a really catchy soundtrack, 4 additional modes to play, and tons of replay value, this living fossil will keep you entertain for eons and deserves to be added into your gaming museum.
My grandpa used to buy some PC games every once in a while back in the day and Dynomite was one of them. I loved that game, the visuals, the gameplay, the sound effects, the music. I'm so glad the game is available on Steam and I can keep on playing. For most modes I also still haven't managed to fully beat them, so I always come back to it.
I wish other games I used to play with my grandpa were on Steam as well, like Rocket Mania or the Ricochet games, playing them always reminds me of him...
I've played this game for many years, like 20k hours. :) But recently lost track of it. So now on steam, I keep it open all the time and play it while doing other things. What REALLY annoys me, is that every time I launch it on Steam, even with the "-windowed" thing, it goes full screen and I have to change it back before playing it. Is there a way to launch it not full screen? I love this game!!!

I've been wanting to play Eggsucker again for ages only to uncover that it has changed its name to Dynomite, which is why I couldn't find this piece of gem. This is my childhood magical nostalgia and I'm bustling with joy. A lot of people in the reviews said they played it at their grandpa's house when they're younger, which is precisely what happened in my case as well. I remember playing the fossil mode for countless hours getting my serotonin and dopamine spikes and couldn't get enough of it. I'm happy to treasure it in my steam library at the age of 24.
Edit: finally beat the fossil challenge and made my younger self proud.
I'd pay for this game again and again, gives me a hit of nostalgia every time. Still wack to me you cant hatch the eggs by cutting off ones above them. I still suck at the puzzle mode after about half way through. If you keep with the game you make trackable progress on the score board
Played this game a lot as a 9 year old with my father, Was able to finally find it where it was legit and wouldn't steal my info. Nostalgia is the best to feel but not to stay in but nice to dip the toes in...... GG
looks like a kid themed game... but.... OH MY GOSH !! SO ADDICTIVE AND FUN FOR ADULTS EVEN. LOVE IT!
Classic PopCap title that holds up even 16 years after its release. A few game modes to try out and unique challenges to each. Perfect game to play while on the phone with a friend that doesn't require too much brain power. The soundtrack is what really makes the game, though as the music for each stage (even death) fits perfectly and is wonderfully mastered.
Seriously. The songs will reach your soul.
My only complaint is that the eggs in stages are randomized so that it may be impossible to beat on a couple tries then suddenly the right pattern shows up on the third try and it is a breeze. Save often in fossil challenge ig.
Maybe this game was nice back in the day, but first playing it in 2018 isn't much of an experience. If you enjoy these kinds of "Frozen Bubble"-like games, you might still enjoy it.
Features a tutorial and 4 different (but very similar) game modes.
"dUH, Whirley's `comin!" out of "Time's running out!"
(10/10 I miss you PopCap Games)
One of the best games in my childhood. Please note that this is game is quite old, you might encounter some problems about the screen resolution. Besides that, the game runs fine.
very good 10/10 would be addicted again
Very bizarre reskin of BubbleBobble, but still very capable. Graphics are pretty ugly and things are kinda mushed together badly, but the gameplay is still fine.
fun game to play ,,,but to make it more of a challenge on you play the hard level...ha ha okay
It's quite a tough arcade game, it starts of slow with the easiest, and the more advanced levels there are more eggs at the start and it drops alot faster. 2 games in 1, the other game is to level up with different scenarios using bricks etc. That is pretty tough going too. Not for the frustrated types. It will drive you crazy
Super fun arcade game; it's a classic. Whether you're into strategy or just killing time it's great.
I've played this game since before Steam, still play it.
My favorite game from childhood, fun play that never gets old.
One day, the family dragged me away from the computer to see a Pantomime. The whole while watching i couldn't stop thinking about this game. As soon as it was over i immediately ran back home and continued playing. The family had no idea where i went, i disappeared so quickly so that i could continue playing my dinosaur game
Un clásico para jugar en solitario.
This game changed my life for the better
This game is childhood and it makes me feel happy and nostalgic
A blast from the past! I'm glad I'm able to play this game from my childhood still.
Yet another Puzzle Bobble clone. The high scores are ridiculously high for the average gamer. These type of games have a steep learning curve. You have to be quick and accurate if you want a chance at the top of the leaderboards. It's my opinion, you might disagree, you might not. If you're gonna play this game, better have sharp reflex skills.
I like how colorfull it is. It's also very cute but challenging. don't let the cute mislead this dinosour is touogh.
Fun, dynamic, fast paced, simple.
A good game that can kill a little time. It can be picked up quickly and played yet progresses to be challenging even to those who have played it a lot.
Classic.
It's an old game I used to have on a much older computer, still very fun to play, although the graphics and resolution hasn't aged very well, it is still definitely worth playing it, especially when it goes on sale!
I loved this game when it came out, and I still love it today.
This is one of the games of my childhood, i love it no matter what, its max fun for my inner child. I especially loved the fossil mode
I love this game with all options and ways. Cute little game for a fast rest from work.
One of the many great PopCap games that is a no brainer. The game is simple to understand, and replability is at a max on this one as well.
If you've ever played Puzzle Bobble or Snood or one of any of the other clones of this basic concept, you know exactly what you're getting. It's got some unique PopCap style twists on the basic idea, but it's fundamentally the same game. It comes with a few different game modes to change up the gameplay, too. Its base price is a mere 5 bucks and it frequently goes on sale for pocket change. If you're into puzzle games, grab this one.
I played the demo all the time as a kid. This game will get you addicted. A ton of fun. Would recommend to anyone.
Classic game that is still fun even after all these years
Oldie but a goodie. Good mix of different types of gaming - satisfying, addictive, and it's aged very very well indeed! The choice to have pressured, timed and non-timed play is particularly nice and makes this an accessible game which works well for switch users and players who can't make fast movements with a mouse pointer.
I find this to be a rather mindless but fun game to play. I played it for years having originally purchased through another company that eventually stopped supporting it or accepting the password key for the game so I was pleased to see that it was picked up by steam.
I was very happy when I found this game on Steam. I played it all the time as a kid on Windows XP. Looking back, it's a fun waste of time. This is meant to be arcade style so there's no story or anything. It's just a match 3 type of game that you can play on Fossil Challenge (where you have to collect fossils), Endless Puzzle, Stomped Puzzle (where you have a limited amount of turns), and a Time Trial. It has fun music and sound effects as well as addicting gameplay for me.
Steam has a hard time allowing these older games to work. I have it downloaded on 2 different PCs and both give me the same issue of "working when it wants to." please work on fixing this with POP CAP as it does the same with other games i have purchased thru Steam as well.
Great game for mindless entertainment but also has other modes that offer more of a challenge. I have convinced myself that this is great for my hand eye coordination and has maybe even expanded my consciousness. Not so sure about the second part but stand on the first.
Old school fun! Like Puzzle Bobble.
Veryfun bubble shooter game with lots of different levels and 3 styles of game play.
my wife left me because of this game
The nostalgia of this game is real, it was a treat to play this again for the first time since I was like 8. Popcap classics are always a fun time!
I bought this game just to review it. It was good. Played it again 10 years later. It is still good.
10/10
Used to play this game all the time when I was younger, so what a pleasure it was to find here on Steam. A fun little throwback with an addictive nature. Who doesn't love getting combo after combo until you reach "Dynomite!"
you can play relaxed or timed various puzzles. it can be relaxing or exciting. very fun.
I played this game a long time ago when I was a teenager still a fun game to this day all they need is to include Atomica, mummy maze and the one that had pirates in it
This is a fast moving game. I love it. It keeps me mentally sharp and is a lot of fun. I would recommend it to anyone to play.
one of the original bubble shooters and still the best
A classic time killer from back in the day. I only recently learned that this game was developed by John Raptis, the creator of my all-time favorite casual game Chuzzle 2 (which only beats out Chuzzle Deluxe because I love the new game play modes and having my own pet Chuzzles in a Chuzzarium!). I love this game and still get excited about the combo progression!
I was 36 when I bought this from the Popcap Games store. I'm 50 now. Welcome to Dynomite!
I buy just for nostalgic moment (':
Great way to kill your awkward amount of time. No downside for a classic like this.
Loved playing this game as a kid and it's just as good as I remember!
Aiming system is garbage. Randomness renders any sort of strategic play impossible. Game also has a bug where eggs change color after being fired. Needs a frame-off rebuild to actually be playable.
i LOVE dynomite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there is indeed a dynomite in this game
easy to play and entertaining to pass my time coz I'm retired
retro game, when you bored with new game and remember clasic game
Awesome game with great music!
I think Dynomite Deluxe is a fun challenging puzzle. I like the art style a lot and I think it's a really fun game,
I love games from the 2000's because It's fun to remember how games like this used to be, but to be honest
I am a huge pop cap fan and I bought like (a lot of their games heheh)
anyways if you get money I would totally recommend getting this classic
I like to shoot down the eggs, sometimes I play to pass time or stress relief.
Whirley gives me fight or flight
Great old school PopCap Games time waster to clear your head. Cute without being obnoxious and satisfying sounds when you succeed incrementally within the game. Even though it's an old game it definitely withstands the test of time.
If you've ever played Snood or Bust-A-Move, Dynomite is the same basic gameplay of shooting orbs at similarly colored orbs to get them to pop. I used to play this a lot on RealOne Arcade back in the day, which was sort of like Steam-Before-Steam except it was made by the hacks behind one of the worst video players ever instead of an actual games company like Valve who only became hacks after buying DOTA 2 and not making anything for a decade. In my two-decades or so of enjoying this genre, Dynomite is still my favorite spin on this type of game because of just how satisfying it is.
The eggs don't really pop so much as they explode, hence the title, and it just feels good. The sounds effects too are just perfection. Everything from the noise the eggs make when they ricochet off the walls, to the explosions and even the cute little voice clips is super satisfying. If you manage to string together combos the game calls that out and each successive one feels just as good as say, going on a killing streak in Unreal Tournament and hearing that "DOUBLE KILL". Dynomite also has one of my favorite modes to grace the genre which is fossil mode. Basically there's a huge fossil stuck in the eggs, and you have to pop the eggs around it and get it out. It feels incredibly good when you finally free it and each chunk of fossil fills in your fossil collection which has a similar satisfaction to putting together a jigsaw puzzle. The music is also excellent and there are several tunes I could still remember even after years of not playing this. Everything about this game is geared to feel good and it succeeds, making for a very pleasant puzzle game that holds up years later.
I played this game as a child on my grandmother's old PC, it's just the same now as it was then. Nostalgia ahoy!
I saw grayfruit play this game once and thought it looked fun.
It's super goddamn hard but it's fun
While this game is indeed fun, the colour RNG for this launcher-type Match-3 is much more unforgiving compared to more recent titles in its sub-genre. Furthermore, unlike the main campaign mode of PopCap's other puzzle titles such as Bejeweled 2, there is no auto-save whenever you beat a stage in Fossil Mode; meaning you have to remember to save every time you collect a fossil piece or you will lose all of your progress if you game over.
