Incredible ball physics, it's a pleasure to play online, rivals are searched quickly! Loved it and played the most hours of all VR games.

Best table tennis sim I have ever played and possibly my favorite VR game period. I feel like real life skill really translates here and it has made this game very enjoyable for me. Thriving community, always someone to play against.

Lucafg - Video Games & Art
Lucafg - Video…

I used to play table tennis years ago. I was not a pro, but a professional player gave me some lessons and I won some local tournaments. I had a semi-professional racket with very good rubbers. Strong forehand and top spin were my specialities. I had my first virtual tennis table experience in 2018 on PSVR1, the game was Racket Fury. Obviously I was not expecting the real thing, but the AI-driven arcade mode was extremely enjoyable. I had just to mimic the real movements I was used to and everything was working like IRL. On the contrary, in simulation mode I could not feel the same control, the same racket responsivity, the same rubbers friction as IRL.

Today I tried Eleven Table Tennis on my beefy PC + HP Reverb G2. I was skeptic because of limited tracking volume of G2. When I tried First Person Tennis last year, the tracking was a problem. Nevertheless I actually have quite no issues with table tennis, maybe because movements are less wide in table tennis. I played Eleven TT for more than 1 hour; I tried both the single player and multiplayer mode. I checked every option. Well, I could not enjoy the experience. It's worse than simulation mode in Racket Fury. I cannot absolutely feel control, responsivity, friction as IRL. Very very disappointing. To have some fun you have to change your play mode, you have to change your movements, your poses, your strenght, your sensitivity, etc. Summing up, you have to unlearn the real lfe ping pong and learn the wrong and gimmick style of ETT! No arcade mode in Eleven Tennis! Just some weak and poor AI assistance during training session with artificial opponents; but when you play against real people in multiplayer mode, you have no assistance. Just an unnerving and disappointing experience! You feel like a baby player despite IRL you're a good player!

So, I decided to buy and try also Racket Fury on my G2. Ah! Wonderful! Now I can enjoy again virtual ping pong. AI adapts to my real life style, it's not me to adapt to the game as in ETT!! However there is a price to pay: Racket Fury servers are completely empty! You can just play against AI driven opponents. The pro is that AI driven opponents are very smart, with very good AI and animations. You can have a lot of fun, more than with real people in Eleven TT. However there are other cons. I invite you to read my Racket Fury review for further details. Let me just say that Eleven has better graphics and is more optimized, more smooth.

In short, in the end I decided to refund Eleven TT. Actually I prefer to play Racket Fury despite the cons.

I tried several VR games and was on the verge of giving up the platform. This game, Eleven Table Tennis totally changed gaming for me. I have been an avid League of legends player for over 7 years and have never wavered in my conviction that it will always be the game i play in my limited free time. For 7 years i would try over games but return to League. Eleven is now the only game I find myself craving; it's not a game it's a full experience. Trust me, it's worth the purchase.

Eleven is a very fun and addictive VR game, definitely a must have. Its basically real Ping Pong and it has a very nice community, you might come across a few toxic players but they are just mad because you are better than them.

johnyutah

its ping pong. before i bought the game i thought it would just be a game that imitated it. However, because your controller is so similar to a ping pong bat and the physics are spot on, it is as close to playing real ping pong as I can imagine, which is to say I cant think of anyway this game could be better at what it does.

This game is fairly impressive and the collisions are pretty nice with the limited amount of speed you get to play with.
But goddamn is every rule someone came up with in here. I get that it follows tourney rules and i respect that but, come on I just want to play a casual game and I get penalized that my serve bounced above that 3mm serve area. That, the fact that you habitually fire downward and the ball goes to the aether and now you lost another point and your opponent is serving. I'd love to be able to perform low speed serves that i can irl but the game feels like it needs me to play a certain way.

Aside from that, the only real backdraw is you have to slow down a lot to do what youre used to doing. Muscle memory doesnt need much adjustment and it's pretty easy to get in the flow. I just wish i could play it in a less restrictive manner, but there's only an option to play it *more* restrictively. Yes this is a somewhat ignorant review but a game has never made me furious with a fault sound and losing points to something that feels like its just being petty.

I have only 3h on steam but this is probably my most played VR game, because I wrote to one of the devs on discord and he gave me a code for the quest version for free, real G, best customer service ever. The quest version is the only way to play it if that's the headset you use, can't recommend you buy the game here because of the tinny tracking issues which ruin the experience, but definitely get it on Oculus store.

I never played table tennis irl, so i cant compare but this is super addicting, easy to pick up but right away you can tell it would take years to master. Seeing myself improve, start to bounce corners, curve the shots, trick serve, ect. feels great but honestly I still play casually and enjoy it immensely. Price might seem steep for what it is but trust me, you will be coming back to this a lot, it's well worth it at full price, let alone on any kind of discount.

This is very fun to play. And it is almost exactly like it is in real life. I go on the «table tennis sport» and i feel like this game can be my training. Its not overpay. I have now learned a new serve that i use irl. Physics are great, you can curve the ball exactly like in real life. You can play against a AI so you dont need friends to play this game. Its ranked so you can meet and play with other people online.

Couldn't find the single player game to start with - You have to click on the Icon, not the text menu options - who knew ;)

Anyway, not a bad game - somehow doesn't seem as fun/real as the Wii game was... getting the angle right for smashes seems tough.

This is a great rendition of the actual game! I love to play the real thing, but haven't for some time due to lack of opponents. Eleven Table Tennis fills that gap. I'm having trouble slamming like in the real game, but am catching on.

I'm a member of a table tennis club, so I play (somewhat) competitively. This is surprisingly realistic. Not all of the shots I use in real life work (backhand top cut is no go), but enough do. Be nice if the backspin serve was a bit more accurate. It even has a feature to simulate a custom bat, but it has limits. I turned everything all the way up, and it's still not as responsive as my Joola.
I'd give it a 4/5 for realism but it's much closer than a $20 game deserves to be.

Also, online play is fantastic.

Unbelievable. The most 1:1 I've ever felt in any game in VR ever. The singleplayer is truly genuinely unmatched this feels like the real thing. The spin, the inflection of the ball, the slicing, everything matches up to feel nearly identical to how it should in real life.

As an intermediate ping pong player, this team deserves an insane amount of praise. I am beyond thrilled.

The only critique is the multiplayer, though that's just the nature of the beast. With anything more than 60 ping to your partner unfortunately the quality just isn't there to have the same level of a match you get out of singleplayer.

That being said it's still fun to play with your buddies, but at a competitive level I'd only recommend if your P2P ping with your friends is below 60.

Venetaz

Even though Steamcharts state that this game has like 30 Players, I get multiplayer invites from different people every time, no matter if i'm playing in the morning before work, or at midnight.
Get it, it's great! Also not to demanding hardware wise.

PATRICK KINDA SUS
PATRICK KINDA SUS

Scarily realistic. The devs say tracking is bad on AirLink but works fine for me.

One bad note is the AI doesn't really act human, very robotic. will just stand there the second you hit the ball when it knows you have hit the ball out of play, so you don't get the excitement of guessing "Did I make that?". The AI just doesn't move to the ball so you know... so that sucks, fix it.

Vic
Vic

Surprisingly satisfying to play. The feedback is just perfect.

However, I've noticed that the AI doesn't feel like anything close to human. As soon as you hit the ball the AI knows if it's going in or not, and just stands there if it detects you are going to miss, which takes away some of the excitement.
Also, the "Send challenge" button in the multiplayer lobby doesn't work really well.

I hope they add a workshop in the future so people can create minigames and environments.

RGB RAM STICK

the game is so much fun even against bots and it has good enough graphics for a vr game but it dose drop frames some time with a quest 2 but other than that it is good but it is hard to learn at first but other than that it is a good game and i love it and it would be fun with friends i recommend this game to everyone

Great fun, highly recommended!

It's a bit confusing to begin with, you'll probably need to edit table setting and then use the 'grab' control to bring the table close enough to you before you can begin, but once you're underway it's a blast.

It seems to be very realistic although I haven't played a huge amount of table tennis IRL. Just getting the hang of putting spin on the ball, which I always sucked at IRL, I suspect you can get to be pretty good at this over time.

Looking forward to playing a hooman once I've had a bit more practice, but I'm finding even practice along to be great fun, my cat thinks I've gone insane!

This is without doubt my favorite VR game until now. There are so many people playing this that I never have to wait long when looking for an opponent in multiplayer online mode. The realism of the physics in this game give you the feeling you are actually playing real life table tennis. I only have 16 hours in so far but I've found 99,9% of all people in this community to be really friendly and with great sportsmanship. Either I'm very lucky or it's something about this game that attracts non toxic players (I really hope for the latter). Some tips for new players that I wish I had known in my first hours of playing:

- By default there's an option enabled that let's you reset the table position by just pressing a button on top of your controller somewhere. In the heat of the game I pressed it by accident a lot and then I'd physically hit my wall with my arm as the whole room layout was changed mid game. Disable this first unless you have a good reason not too.

- When reaching for those very short close to the net balls DON'T LEAN ON THE VIRTUAL TABLE. It will not be there to support you in real life and I head dove into the wall twice before having muscle memorized not to touch the table anymore. Fortunately my headset broke my fall and didn't get damaged.

- If you enjoy playing with somebody add them as a friend during not at the end of the game. Once one of you leaves your game you cannot send them a friend request anymore (as far as I know anyway).

-If somebody you play against has a consistent lag, you can compensate for it in the game menu. Remember this only works if the ping is consistent. If your opponent's ping is all over the place try only playing with people who have a good ping shown by the 'wifi bars' next to their name. 4-5 green bars should be your goal always.

First off if you plan on never ever playing against people in this game then great i would recommend it.

However this games focus is on multiplayer and my multiplayer experience was dreadful. I played against around 6 people 1 didn't talk the rest were a holes, I'm new to the game which i explained to them but just got swore at when i chose not to do ranked or got swore at for missing the ball etc.

The game is fun but the community of people playing online ruins the game for any new players so for that i can't recommend it.

The core game play is excellent. Feels very real and immersive. Environments look pretty nice. A good bit of exercise too. I can't recommend this game enough.

What I would like to see for this game to become a perfect masterpiece:
1) more mini games
2) more environments
3) presets for the the ball machine. I want to improve my skills, but I find that I spend more time fiddling with the settings for the ball machine than I do using it. Some list of presets for targeting specific skills would be great.

this game is so stupidly simple, yet extraordinarily fun. it's one you look at like "meh another VR eXpErIeNcE" but when you actually play it, you get hooked to the pureness of the mechanics. im very casual at IRL ping pong and to me it feels spot on, with the added bonus of never needing to pick up the damn ball that bounces across your room

fun to just play with a friend and bullshit and chat while you play since its not super serious (unless you want it to be and play online with randos)

Eleven is easily the best experience when it comes to table tennis in VR. It's surprisingly close to real life, although there are some limitations on what you can and can't do of course, but the physics are really, really good!

The AI is absolutely brutal and if you're a new player you will probably struggle a lot, but I think it feels great to finally become good enough to beat a difficulty level... and then you get destroyed on the next tier for several hours until something just clicks and you start progressing again. It's not easy but it's very satisfying when you can start winning consistently.

The multiplayer is great, I love playing with with my wife! We haven't experienced any latency issues or bugs at all, it's a great time whether you play solo against AI or with people online.

Indys
Indys

Really good physics. The AI free hit is perfect for training your smash, backhand and forehand techniques. I played this game for 6 hours and tried my skills in real table tennis and I was substancially better even in real world challenge :-). One advice though is to reject any game invitation with a ping 100 ms+ because then the match play is unbearable. Me and my friends use this on 100-250Mb/s public internet connections (sweden) and we feel absolutely no disturbing lag. We use this game as almost the real deal. Using the internal communication system we can talk and 'hang out' during the game as well.

Played on Oculus Rift S:

It is wonderfully ironic that with all of the crazy-ass things that are possible to be achieved in VR that one of my favorite go-to games is something as simple as Ping-Pong. The physics are spot-on and I will continue to play this on and off with my friends for a while. Eleven is truly something special and it shows off the best aspects of what VR multiplayer is capable of.

Awesome developer and very good table tennis game. I had controller lag problem with Quest 2 and contacted the developer. They said they have a price matching policy so they can give me the game on oculus store for the steam price! (Oculus store is very expensive in my country.) So if you have a Quest 2 just contact with them and get the quest store version, it works perfectly.

Disclaimer: I played this on the Oculus Quest 2 over AirLink, which I understand in the game description is advised against due to input lag.

However, input lag was not my problem. In fact, I felt like it played great in that aspect. Very responsive, and the feel of the physics in the game are pretty good when you think about all the physics that are a part of table tennis and the nuances of trying to replicate that in VR.

Nonetheless, it just doesn't compete with the real thing. Anyone who plays table tennis at a slightly higher than casual capacity will immediately encounter limitations of what you can do. I'm not a professional player by any means, but I have played competitively with friends and some large groups. Enough so that I own my own blade and high grade balls to play with when I see the opportunity.

I have an unorthodox way of holding the blade (and I've seen many players who all have their own unique grip), and while I was able to customize the position of the virtual paddle pretty accurately to my default stance, trying to switch between fronthand and backhand is basically impossible for me. The small adjustments to posture and grip are just almost impossible to replicate. I also can't perform a rather simple (but fast) serve that I'm known for in my friends circle because I think the tracking can't quite pick up the small hand gestures for it.

Ultimately, if I wanted to play this very casually where I gently hit the ball back and forth with a friend to kill some time, this would be great. But I'm a competitive player and I felt nothing but restricted when trying to play this game. I can definitely see it being fun for many casual players, but if you want to get serious, just gather some friends and go find a table somewhere to play.
