Ignoring the controversies, even with the most recent update. Fallout 76 is a decent game, it's fun and entertaining, and it feels like fallout. It may not be the best fallout game, but it's still a decent fallout game. I'd still buy it on sale though

It's ok. Thought they would of improved it a little since FO4 but nope, just geared towards online shenanigans. Could of tweaked some small things that would make it easier for lone wolfs like me, such as: clearer quest scripts and guidelines in some cases, more fusion cores for sale or in loot, more armor (of all kinds) for sale at least at faction bases, and cheaper plan prices. Never seemed to have those problems with FO4.

Purchased after the free trial period.

I held out on buying it thinking it would't be any good. but its ok. I get how many say its empty and with quests being got from terminals and bots sucks. The other really sucky thing is it that there is a hell of a lot more grind in the way of getting caps, gun mods and guns themselves etc.

I'd say its ok for $13 (AUD)

This game is filled with bugs, honestly $10 is pushing it for what this game is worth. The controls don't work half the time, neither does scoping, trying to set up a camp is a pain in the ass. I'm still going to play it, on the sole purpose of not feeling like I completely wasted my money, but I absolutely wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.

The game can become a little challenging without F1st, but it's doable. The Pitt is... subpar, in all honesty. Maybe it will get fleshed out, but I doubt it. Overall, definitely worth the $10 dollars on sale for the next two days. Wish everyone luck in the Wasteland :p.

Well, all I can say is that it's been a long time since the launch and that the game so far is enjoyable.

I'm going to be honest I like this game I really do. I played almost every Fallout game and this is something that I wanted for a while but I was playing this on a pretty shit laptop with a poor graphics card and it was running poorly as a result. However, after using a better laptop with a better graphics card the game play did improve much more. This is also the type of game you would have a lot more fun playing with friends and it would absolutely suck to play alone (and would get very boring). There are a few other small issues I have with this game but its personal stuff and shouldn't necessarily be included. One last thing is that this is NOT worth 60 dollars in my honest opinion, I'd recommend playing this and giving it a try. If it's on a discount/sale. In the end I like this game its good but you need some decent hardware to play this right and it's not worth the $60 dollar price tag.

Can not recommend paying full price for this game. I got it on sale and it's fun to play, especially for fans of the Fallout series, but I've had continual server drops (which slows down the gameplay as you have to keep restarting tasks that get interrupted) and the game finally gave up and crashed on me.

Memnoch

Bought it for £9, played for 25 minutes, then refunded. How is it possible that in two years they cannot sort out mouse aiming? The tricks I read online didn't really help, so I had no choice. A game that is primarily about shooting has to have that nailed. How can the 3D Realms powered 2.5D Cultic get this so right, and this huge game get it so wrong!?

I'm having tons of fun exploring and killing stuff, i heard about the disastrous launch in 2020 and i was very concerned to get this game, but i have experienced none of that here except for extremely unoptimized areas that make my FPS drop to 30 or so, and Bethesda is one of the "AAA" studios out there that can make feel 30 fps like 5.

THE GOOD

* Ok-ish character creating options, they sort of copied the Saints Row Body Triangle.
* Good graphics
* Nice quests
* Good exploration
* Good combat
* Great crafting mechanics

THE BAD

* Unoptimized mess, seriously Bethesda, STOP USING DX11 and go for DX or Vulkan! it's 2022 for F SAKE!
* Not very good character hairstyles
* Server timeouts that kick you out, luckily they don't happen TOO often

My score for Fallout 76 is a sure 81

Your beautiful supermodel wife (who married you specifically because of all that highly sustainable reddit mod money) tells you to come to bed but a hostile takeover of a meme sub is the only way you can cum.

"Just a minute sweetie" you say.

"Almost ready to rock your world with my enormous genitals, just need to finish up here" you assure her, hammering away at your keyboard with cheeto fingers as you ban the last remaining mod.

"Babe!" She calls "you spent all day keeping reddit safe and earning your massive moderator paycheck, it's time to take a break"

"You're right m'lady" you reply snidely "bite the base board, I'm going in dry."

The game is great.
Starting from the quests, to the art/style like soundtrack, soundeffects, cool looking items you can own/build, exploring, building.
The community/players are awesome.
However FPS drops in big cities even if CPU/GPU usage doesn't exceed 20%, inventory micromanagement, scrap storage and survival tent hidden behind monthly subscriptions hold it back.
Out of 16h, I probably spent 10h trying to make room in inventory so I can explore/loot for 15 more minutes at a time.

Fallout 76 is the greatest and the most amount of fun you can have while playing an app. Bethesda really took Fallout 4 (the greatest game ever before Fallout 76 came out) and added 72 to it. I gotta give them props on this as I can not count to 76 on my fingers. Anyway back to my Fallout: New Vegas fanfiction. Doc Mitchell said to his (hot) pet deathclaw "I actually got my medical degree back when I lived in Appalachia but I had to move away because of those darn bats pooping on my car all the time." Suddenly the lone wanderer wandered in and asked Doc Mitchell to cure him of his addiction to deathclaw r34 (for more on the subject check out my game review of e621) Doc Mitchell said with sorrowful eyes "I'm sorry sonny boy but that ain't something I can cure with a picture book. The only cure is death." The lone wanderer then wandered to megaton and blew it up. The end.

The game is fun, but it has A LOT of problems. With that said, it's much better now than it was when it released in 2018.

Firstly, it gets boring pretty quickly. Once you do all the main quests you're left with daily quests, public events, daily ops, and the recently added expeditions. They're all designed to be replayed over and over again, so they're basic and get old fast.

Secondly, the balance is whack. You only have a handful of good options, those being; commando vats with crits, heavy guns power armor, unyielding/bloodied, auto axe/chainsaw, or a mixture of them. Everything else is underwhelming.

Thirdly, their choice to ignore legacy weapons. Too often do legacy users join public events and ruin them for everyone. It's frustrating when you want to shoot enemies and earn exp.

Fourthly, Fallout 1st's price. $12.99 per month is an insane ask for what actual useful content you get. The best you get for that price is a survival camp, a scrapbox, and in the future an ammobox. Everything else doesn't justify the price. I understand that server costs for holding all that data must be insane, but $12.99 a month for what is essentially QOL is bonkers.

Fifthly, optimization. This game runs like garbage at points. It's much better than Fallout 4, but still not as good as other titles released at the time. Devil May Cry 5 released five months after Fallout 76 and performs infinitely better despite looking 16x times (the detail) better. They've tried to improve it, but it's likely an engine issue since it's as old as dinosaurs and trying to handle high poly, 2k/4k assets.

An MMO Fallout can work, this game is proof of that. I believe that if they took another stab at it on a better engine, we could have something great. They've made mistakes and they've learned from them. They know what does and does not work. They have the ability to make an online Fallout game that can stand on it's own two feet from the start. It's just a matter of when.

game flow is pretty good, some inquisitive questing as well as team play, minor screen freezes at times but not during critical play. Interesting storyline.

Do not buy fallout 76 for anything more than $10.
Despite the years since release, you will still encounter bugs with inventory menus, base building, item management, and entity models. You will encounter these bugs every play session.
They reskinned skyrim, threw in mobile game mechanics to try and get the audience on an endorphin drip of repeatable nothing quests, and then put daily caps on every earnable currency. While better with friends, if you're going to play with a dedicated group you'll probably want to have one person pay to host a private world so you can crank the difficulty up.

It plays Okay, it looks good, and it's buggier than that guy in Men In Black.

Edit: Seriously though, the favorites system continuously infuriates me by auto-favoriting gear and stacking favorites, for example having a quest item favorited (required for say, camera quests) and log out, the game will stack your camera on your favorites wheel on top of another item, in my case RadAway, blocking access to both until you go into menus, unfavorite and refavorite. Every time you log in.

this game is till ass still after 4 years! I NEED TO KEEP ON CLOSING AND REOPING THE GAME JUST SO IT CAN FUNCTION PROPERLY FOR 5 MINETIS IF LUCKY. THE ONLY GLITCHES THAT FIXED OVER THE 4 YEARS ARE DUPLICATION GLITCHES BUT THAT'S ALL. ALL THE TIME WHEN I PLAY THIS I CANT EVEN SEE MY MOUSE CURSOR, PIT BOY, MENTION ICON, MY WEAPENS, SKILL CARDS AND THIS IS JUST A FEW TO METION. OFTEN TIMES I NEED TO DO SOMETHING WITH MY PC OR UNSTALL IT THAN RESTALL IT AGEN JUST TO GET IT TO LUNCH PROPERLY. its a great game, one I really enjoy but this game runs like a mobile game trying to run on a nokia phone with 24 viruses in it. if you wont to play the game DONT BUY IT IN FULL PRICE! it is not worth the money.

Did you like exploring in fallout? well not now. hope you enjoy having to go back to where you died to hostiles who can perfectly though a grenade right on you. for you to then die on the way there. oh and because you died the previuse loot you left is gone and makes your new one disappear as well. so you die twice have to walk half way across the map to recover nothing. supper fun.

Buy it on sale.
Was it fun to play? Sure.
Is it something I return to daily? No.

It's not a game that drew me in as much as previous Fallouts (1,2,NV, and yes, 3 & 4). This felt like some one had a good idea for a single player or co-player fallout and got ordered to make it something more, while failing to make it more. The visuals are excellent. The quests are middlin'. The handling of the character is good enough for general play. I've seen the hardcore players have a grand time trashing enemies. There are definitely worse options for fighting insomnia.

You have to pay in order to have unlimited crafting storage, but its not unlimited storage for everything. It seems every online game finds a way to CREATE problems for players that they then create ANSWERS for...if you have the money. In fallout 4 I could organize my items with different chests and even have an overall storage for each encampment! Bethesda has to resort to shameful business practices in order to gain revenue. They did the same thing in ESO. All they had to do was copy their original games and put them online.... thats all. It does have some fun features, but it's frustrating when I know the community could build a better game if they had the rights.

Lots of fun since they added NPCs in Wastelanders. Enjoying the stories. Enjoying solo play. Even found a group of friends to team with on a regular basis. Fallout 1st is definitely worth it for the extra storage and the custom worlds where you can set everything to easy and blast away like a true legend in Appalachia.

I definitely recommend trying it for any Fallout fan. Don't listen to the haters - see for yourself.

Dont buy this game the Audio doesnt work for PC. Go read about it on reddit. 75% of people play this game with out audio and the ones that get it to work have to reinstall windows. this game is insanly buggy to the point its unplayable. i only paid $9.99 but i have no interest in playing a game that doesnt have audio. its kinda sad and pathetic that they let this go on. this is my first fallout game and it will be my last. like i said dont buy it.. unless your def.

The one question on anyone's mind is is this game worth of holding the Fallout name, in my opinion yes I havnt found it being P2W though the game does like to throw the cash shop at you upon every login with all of its fantastically over-priced Cosmetic items however the game does allow you to grind for 'ATOMs'(the games Premium Currency) to buy them if you so choose... The game play is quite good In my opinion it certainly makes me feel like I'm playing fallout A game I've been playing since the beginning with all of its Lore and factions. I opted to not play on Public Servers for personal reasons there for i bought fallout first and the game practically throws free items at you upon doing so but friends tell me its the usual Experience between fair players and unfair players, I'm also told the community as a whole is good.
I like the Ability to build your base anywhere except in the borders of Towns or marked areas though you will be paying for Building items or grinding missions to get them.
This being said however There are bugs many, many bugs what have i experienced?
*NPC's Walking backwards to get to where they need to be like sitting down or manning their shop.
*NPC's and other player's loosing their AI completely and just gliding around the world at different speeds in a T-pose.
*The Game Crashing when i try to Enter Power Armour lagging me in the void between selecting to enter and wearing the frame.
*Sometimes selecting workbenches will make it so you cannot select any other item right before the game Kicks you from the server or you have to logout/force crash the game.
*Excessive Lag and Render Issues even on private servers.
*Despite having fast internet and good connection there are times the game disconnects 'due to connection issues'.
*NPC's Teleporting..
These are just a few i can name off the top of my head
Do you Like Fallout? its a decent game to play however there are issues, Certainly Give it A go I enjoy it, 144 hours in and i have barely covered the surface.

I was having a really bad day today so I decided, "Hey, why don't I milk a brahmin on fallout 76?"
Little did I know that the game was broken as hell and the game wouldn't let me milk it so I start

Sadly, just another broken mess by Bethesda. It's a bugged out mess, glitchy, repetitive, boring, poorly thought out mess for yet another money grab ... and omg the micro-transactions ... they are trying to cram them down your throat at every turn to take gouge more money out of your pockets (just like they crammed a busted Skyrim AE down our throats for $$$). I was talked into buying because it was on sale, still not worth it. The only reason I play it is because I'm retired (I don't watch TV) and I can't afford any more game since I did, and my go-to Skyrim SE/AE is so broken that when you try to mod it, it's unplayable because of the constant crashes (that's a whole other pathetic situation). If you decide to try it ... get it dirt cheap through a third party if you can. Last thing, reporting toxic players is a joke! Todd Howard is basically a con-artist with no conscience.

jeeebo
jeeebo

So far I think this game does a good job at continuing the Fallout story line. If you like just scavenging and running around alone, you can totally still do that. I have tried playing with friends and I unexpectedly liked that too. The micro-transactions suck and the lack of modding isn't cool, but it doesn't get in the way of playing the game, it's mostly cosmetic.

Buy it on G2A or in discount, these 10€ I bought this game was really used, otherwise, paying 40€ for this game is a lot while I can subscribe yet for another 15€.... I think Bethesda does only want money grab game... For 10€-20€ you will get good game, in this year with cool graphic, but in my opinion this game is overpriced..

Fallout 76 Forces you to be a goody two shoes.

In a game heavily focused around combat, this is fucking LAME. When I booted up the game, and walked past the lazy tutorial information dump section, I met a dope looking guy, robbing a shopkeeper for gold, talked to him, and befriended the robber, and he said "hey kid, I like you, after you help me finish holding up the joint, ill introduce you to the gang" etc etc. then the shop owner fucking shot him in the back, instakilling him, and said some shit like "thank god, you showed up, you saved me, I love you! Now go do a shitty fetch mission for me" then became a typical Bethesda unkillable NPC.

Refund button got slammed hard. Can't stand an open world that forces you to play exactly the way they want. Why even bother making it open world??

BigBobEnerG
BigBobEnerG

The game is in a much better state and has much more content than it had on release. Been having a blast, and I've been playing solo about half the time, if not more. A bit different than previous fallouts, the leveling and perk system changed somewhat, the crafting and building is a bit weird at first but easy to get the hang of it, there are hunger and thirst bars to keep tabs on, it's a survival game first, fallout game second. Over all it's very fun to play and get lost in. If you're a fan of the series, I would get this, probably wait for a sale but if you got the cash for full price then fuck it lol.

Recent update killed my mods. I play on an ultrawide so mods are necessary to make this game even close to decent to play. Now mods don't seem to work anymore. This game only allows 1080p without being able to turn off motion blur. But I play 1440P ultrawide. Stupid bethesda. Also the graphics are insanely down scaled from what you would expect from a game today. Where is the HD pack?

ive played this game quite a bit my first character was with the raider faction but got softlocked so I quit and then I recently heard that the pitt my second favorite location in fallouts universe is dlc so I booted up and made a character then I saw that the enclave was now here and I thought that was so badass but then realized that like the other factions they arent really like the enclave just sorta generic npc telling you to go here do that and blah blah (ps why isnt the responders just the followers I dont know if there is a legit lore reason or not but it would have been awesome) and after getting relatively far I get to the pitt and it sucks it has the same sorta feel but none of the locations are brought back and its just sorta boring there isnt really any lore or worldbuilding its just go here and murder and having Keith Szarabajka voice Dr blackburn is cool but It feels like just sorta boring and blackburn is a boring character dissappointing overall but honestly
still pretty fun it retains the gameplay of 4 and lack of good rpg elements like fallout 4 but i still have fun to be honest get it if you wanna you might have fun but its kinda of a spit in the face of fallouts lore imo

I can't wait to play this game when its out of Beta!

It needs to Final Fantasy XIV 1.0, No Man's Sky, and Cyberpunk itself - start delivering on what you promised or lose it all. Things are broken, take one quick search on the you tubes. It's real. All of it. I even tricked friends into buying it for like $7.

I regret nothing, just like the folks who knowingly allow the game to go on in this state of functioning disfunctions. It's a rough ride but a modern fallout game and I do like it when it works. But like looking both ways before crossing the street, only to be struck by a submarine, I expected too many variables to work as intended.
This game feels like a paid beta test.

Borrowed_Time
Borrowed_Time

I gave it a go, but in the end I wasn't impressed. Appalachia's newness wears off after a few hours when it becomes more apparently... lifeless and dull?
The 'story' as it is fails to capture just about any interest. (Overseer? I barely know her!)
Encounters in the world mostly just feel like minimal effort was put into them.
Locations of interest are sparse and just as unsatisfying.
Despite the emptiness of the world, somehow you still bump into random settlers "rebuilding" (i.e. hammering at a wall) almost everywhere and talking about how it's such hard work, repeating the same like 3 lines.
You can claim a special workshop area... as long as you're online. Repeating the effort of placing traps and defenses from waves of random enemies, not to mention generators and resource extractors... every time you log in? Why bother?
Everyone knows that the modding community is what make Bethesda games great on PC, and they can't even allow your custom paid-for server access to enable mods?

The cash grab of Bethesda is just shameful these days. All kinds of stuff locked behind points that you can purchase.

The ONLY reason to get it, in my opinion, is if you have friends who all want to do it together. And even then... there are better options probably.

At first i was hesitant about buying this game because of the state it was in when it came out, but since i decided to buy it I realized how fun it is, whether its the fallout 4 combat or the exploration, its just so fun, It has its ups and downs, with some minor or game-breaking bugs or unbalanced things. If you wan't a fallout game with a good story I'd recommend Fallout New Vegas, or one of the first 2 top down fallout games. If you want a good exploration/fps game Fallout 76 is a good choice.

TL;DR good game i recommend

tbh its good these days. i have personally really enjoyed it, i like exploring the massive map and seeing the sights. sometimes looting can feel very tedious and the crafting and mod system is annoying but it feels like a bit of an accomplishment when i can get past it. i really like the VATS and combat in this game, its challenging but not rage inducing, though sometimes when i die its something that i cant do anything about.

It's changed a lot since the original release. There are actauly NPC's in the game the now! With all the building you can do and the adventuring the game is a good time especially for a Fallout fan.

7/10. The equivalent of reaching for a bag of chips because your too lazy to cook anything.

Some bugs remain, generally the giant ones have been quashed since launch. One Crash to Desktop in 23 hours with sub-standard PC.

Balance is a bit wonky at times. Decent community. Gameflow somewhat improved since launch, but still hinges on religious scavving to get things done in a timely manner.

Story has somewhat improved? Quality is certainly higher with actual voiced AI with semi-branching conversation options. At least it's not ' Go here, listen to robot tell you to do something with no input on your part, go there ', anymore. At least, again, for the most part. Older Robot NPCs are still active, and are still at points crucial to go through for the story.

They did do away somewhat with the lore issues. However, Brotherhood is still that ' Come one, come all ' faction it is in Fallout 3. No longer the heavy xenophobic, technophiliac cult that it was in FL 1, 2, & 4. More like the cuddly Washington branch.

Gunplay feels somewhat solid? Build your character right, and you should have no issues. For present run, running an Intelligence/Luck build with crafting perks and gathering perks from both respective trees. Helped me keep from going dry on ammunition, medpacks, and upgrades for weaponry. Approach it smart, and you'll be fine.

Atoms come in at a pretty healthy pace, least for my first 23 hours here. Already up to 700. White wood laminate, white wood laminate.... Still not giving you cash for funbucks, Bethesda. Neither am I doing your Fallout 1st thing. We both know that is just plain overpriced and gouging.

Positive, due to a passing grade.

just a few hours in but can tell the game has changed quite a bit since I played it early 2019. My wife and I are having a blast and this is probably one of the most wholesome communities in recent video games. Almost everyone is super nice and willing to help out new players. It makes me want to invest way more time in the game so I can get into a position to help new players.

Terrible game. Performance is bad and the first mission couldn't be completed because of a dialog loop.

It *IS* a fallout world. its just missing a story for the most part. to be honest the environmental storytelling is the best ive ever seen in the franchise. pick this up on sale and give it a shot. dont read the hate and judge for yourself.

I'd probably played for around 2-3 hours before picking the game back up within the last few days. In those 5-6 hours, I had 2 different quests bug out and become impossible to progress, despite restarting the game a couple times for each. Pretty pathetic for a 4-year-old game.

Sonic Mobian
Sonic Mobian

I would highly recommend this game towards mostly friends if you like to play Fallout togather, There is just no mods to make past games co-op and even if there was its more than 100% a chance it won't be able to play nicely with mods like how Skyrim Togather is. Me and my friend had a blast sense I introduced her to the game after my 500+ Hours on this game, I know the game had issues and I was not there I seen the issues I was just there on the side lines, When settlers dlc came I took the jump to play this game and boy am I glad I did.

I see the game for what it is I accept the game as it is, I 100% acknowledge the issues and troubles is faced but I don't let those issues bother me, That may seem like an unpopular opinion but My opinions are always unpopular to 90% of people because I never betrate a game or join the mobs. I look at games at a neutral stance and out of everything people think I choose wrong to be neutral.

Anyways back on topic, What make me prefer this game more is the ability to play with friends, I payed for Fallout 1st not for myself no, I got it so friends can play with me privately it was for my friends and not for myself. I let friends have the perk to join private adventures so they don't have to pay for it themselves. I love the way the Power Armor Durability is handled here compared to fallout 4. Way more durable lasts way moe longer than Fallout 4. Suit Power was a issue at the start but it became trival once I amass 90+ of them because I had so many I had to use some in a gun.

I think people should at least try the game the stuff it gets now the updates it had over the years was great, If i have 500+ hours it means I had my money's worth out of it. Most may not feel the same but I have though. I think it's worth it for me.

I love that the game also offers Gay Relationships between Male Characters with npcs that have them. I like that we can change are Speical points and have different builds, etc. I hope they contiune to support the game and add more QoL Improvements. There is not really much to say the hours I played are pretty much edvience enough. My time was well spent, Ispend the most time scrounging for supplies, food, caps and awhile in my power armor with almost infinite power due to the perk cards and that's what I get the most enjoyment is exploring and finding resources out there. Building my camp is another second fun I spent so much time in as well.

I would try the game and see if you like it, See for the game for what it is and don't judge it right out the gate, Be open minded and just get lost in the moment, If your not feeling it and its not getting you enjoyment then that's ok.

Game should be F2P at this point... Graphic bugs still present though minor and in-between but still sometimes very noticeable, Game is just buggy overall still, shooting and fighting are mediocre but tolerable and generic, MMO is bare bones and extremely basic A.K.A go here collect this/go here and kill this... very generic.

Overall plays more like SSX(2012) as in I mean its glorified time waster essentially....

As a fallout fan I bought it day 1 on Xbox one and now I bought it for literally $10 on pc and even though you could get it for free from gamestop or for at least a couple of cents because thats how much this game is really worth tbh.

Alot of content they have added is filler garbage just very bland and extremely short quests that pump out shitty rewards oh and yea they brought back the pitt in the worst way possible and its really bad because they hyped it up over a year and blah! blah! blah!

I give it 3.1/10 and you should only buy it if you like cheap shitty time waster type of games like I do but if you don't I'd stay away honestly because even years later though its much improved the overall reception and backlash they still get this day for its being overall a mediocre garbage experience is warrented to this day.

EDIT: Leveling is a massive chore/slog and getting power armor is a goddamn nightmare beyond belief and its just a fucking massive scav hunt/generic quest shit just to get a full set that you want and it takes for-EVER!

Tried it because a friend wanted to play, and I enjoyed the other fallout games so why not. It's a buggy unoptimized mess, even when it works. That being said the game completely broke after the first day, with no fixes seeming to work. I far exceed the games requirements, and settings don't make a difference. The game fails to log in to bethesda and just crashes. I bought it on sale for $10 and still feel ripped off.

... ... ...Okay, fine! Bethesda fixed the game. Took 'em a few years, but they did it. ...not sure how, still... I actually liked Fallout 4's style. I actually liked its building mechanics. I liked its uncapped levels. If I'm a cringe person for liking the ability to have it all, then yeah, I guess I'm cringe. ...But I'm cringe with a game that I enjoy, so who's truly losing out here?

rifle_shot

Got this on sale at a massive discount and for what little it cost this is a decent game. The first couple hours are definitely rough as things are nowhere near intuitive from menus to skills to camps. After figuring that out and getting used to survival mode being on permanently, as well as the need to manage inventory being 70% of the experience, things started to pick up.

If you can grab this on sale, and have beaten the previous fallout games and need to scratch that itch, I recommend it. Don't expect to get 1000's of hours of unique content like previous fallout games and you will be happy.

Pros:
-No glitches (yet)
-Once you get past about level 5 things pick up and you get good weapons, gear, and start to feel less useless and more like a hero
-Players (real) are super-nice and are often dumping ammo/weapons/etc for absolute dirt cheap just to share with new players.
-Nice variety of public events that everyone on the map can work together on, without you needing to actually "join up" with anyone - similar to how Destiny does it for reference.

Cons:
-Inventory space force-limited to sell Fallout 1st
-Extremely shallow and boring story
-Levels 0-5 are a slog where you have useless gear and can't fight anything without getting destroyed
-Gunplay still clunky like all fallout games
-Graphics worse than Fallout 4
-Endgame is apparently nothing but fighting inventory limits, even with Fallout 1st

I'm going to try not to be biased with this review but i have a very special and intimate connection with this game and it helped me through a very rough patch in my life. Ok having said that if you want a single player Fallout experience this isn't the game for you, I'll start with that. Barring that, this is exactly the Fallout experience I wanted. I got this game at release and much like my life at the time it was empty and needed a bunch of work and polish, but through a lot of support and work it has come full circle and is now full of life with many things to do. This game works well with RWT (even though it isn't aloud but who really cares and if you do I don't) and I love games with a trade system that doesn't limit you on what you can trade. You can't trade Atomic Shop items but that's understandable. It is possible to feel like a god in this game if you build yourself correctly and there are many ways to do that. I personally have been waiting on a game like this since I started playing online games. It might not be the best and there may be a few bugs here and there but much like everything else, nothing is perfect. It is definitely a 10/10 for me and honestly if you are debating it just do it and put some time in it, you wont be sorry.

Despite all the initial hubbub, I tried this game eventually. And I really liked it. It can be a little confusing, but at the same time, as someone who really fell in love with Fallout for what it originally was (something I can get absorbed in, alone) I have often wished for this experience with friends. Granted, an MMO was a weird angle to go, but it is fun with friends - and if you're a solo player, it's great alone, too. The map is big enough that you won't often run into people and when you occasionally do, they seem like a solid bunch (at least in my experience.)

The way the game handles perks can be confusing at times. But overall, it's a good time. If you like Fallout for what it is, give this one a try if you're thinking about it. Totally playable without the subscription service, still good fallout. Lots of cool environments to explore, experiences to have with friends, and plenty of that good ol' Bethesda Jank.

There is nothing bad or good about it. Pseudo Fallout. Pseudo MMO.
It doesn't have a good selling point, midgame or endgame. You will reach max cap on everything and nothing to buy.
I think the best part of them all is the friendly community throwing gifts at you like scooby snacks at gunpoint.

Solsagann
Solsagann

Very positive.
Vastly improved since launch, now a fully fleshed-out Fallout game filled with quests, factions, a gigantic, lively map and an everlasting incentive to come back in the form of daily and weekly challenges. Events are fun, community is friendly and welcoming, especially to newcomers. The dreaded "Atomic Shop" revolves around a currency easily obtainable through casual play, though the Falloust 1st sub does remain an option if you want (but don't actually need) a bonus.
Your build can be whatever you want and it's super satisfying to min-max it (though grindy, but what endgame isn't?) without the pressure to follow a restrictive meta as there are always enough players during events for it not to make a difference.
80 hours in and endless fun, zero toxic interaction, yet still very far from done with the quests and the content, with more to come as the devs keep (and abide to) their update calendar.
Get it on sale, it's fun with and without friends, it's Fallout.

I've had this game since its release. I took a break and came back after it had left the Bethesda launcher.

I attempted to transfer it to steam only to get an error. Tried going to support the 1st time and they basically ignored me entirely. Tried a second time and again, nothing. You can't get a person to respond at all and they make the support process damn near impossible to navigate. I ended up having to buy the game twice to play with friends...

In my first account I had:
- 250 hours
- roughly $50 of purchased shop items
- Had subscribed to fallout one for over a year ($120+)

Now, its all gone.

I've been a fallout fan for years and feel let down...Letting down fans is not a good business model, Bethesda. This will be the last game I buy from you.

Played this game the night it was released on the Xbox. The game had many issues, that made the game unbearable. After some time passed, and many fixes later, I picked the game back up on the Xbox. I had loads of fun, but alot of work still needed to be done. Bethesda then released the Wastelanders DLC and it was fund. Late 2020, I took a break from xbox. I started gaming on steam/pc this year and decided to purchase the game on PC and the game has really improved, since day one and since wastelanders.

i have always liked fallout, and this is basically fallout 4... with friends, and a few extra nuts and bolts added on.
base building is fun and meaningful, owning a personal store and prettying it up is good, players actually care about how good things look, instead of just seeing cubes everywhere.
the trading in this game is alive and fruitful
where you put your base matters
how fallout deals with base building is quite frankly genius, you can build where you want and not worry about people camping all of the resources

the servers are active and public teams are good
of the many MMO's i have played, the toxidity on this is really low, im often on the receiving end of generosity.
be warned however, communication is emotes and voice only, i strongly suggest going to Nexus and installing the Text Chat Mod, i never regretted it

as for combat, weapons, available options like all games there is a meta dps build, but unlike many games, that isnt the only option, in this game i dont feel trapped to the meta and this game is very welcoming for other game styles, i dont feel a huge tip in combat balance. even support builds are fulfilling for me hear

i do have some gripes however

Storage is a pain, im a heavy crafter and your camp storage is woefully limited. even with the subscriber bonus letting me store infinite ingredients i am always fighting my lack of storage. understand however, i am at the extreme end of hoarding, you probably wont have a problem.

this game is very good at temping you with desirable items, if your hold on your wallet is weak, this game can drain you dry, i will also say, nothing in this game is blocked behind a pay wall, you can grind anything.

pve settings wont protect you from traps, some players will make some awsome looking shops to draw you in then have traps kill you to steal your scrap.

Bethesda is ban hammer heavy, and its all automated, people have been banned for some truly stupid stuff. its what stopped me buying it for some time, it seems to have stableized for now.

I thought this game was coop? I started the game at the exact same time with three friends. We all created our characters and ran through the tutorial. As soon as we exited the vault we entered the same server and set up a group. We walked down the mountain together and entered the first building as a team. It even had options to enter together or enter solo. We chose to enter together. We all sat and listened to a ten minute conversation as the leader chose the options. The other three players weren't able to talk to the NPC. After it was finished we all left the building and only the group leaders quest progressed. Why did you let us all go in the building together as a group if it wasn't gonna advance all of our quests at the same time? So the other three of us had to go back in solo and listen to the NPC talk all over again. That's when I instantly knew this game wasn't going to be good. Then it made us all scatter four different directions to set up our camps because they were too close together. Then we ran to a tower together and only one person at a time could use the terminal. It was about as much fun as standing in line for an ATM. I would define this game as "Single Player Online" because it was painful to be in a party. Maybe it would of been better if we had all started on different days, weeks, or months, and then grouped up. Definitely not the type of game you actually attempt to play together.

TL;DR: The game still has ridiculous bugs and some extremely tedious quests, but the new additions and changes made me actually enjoy my time overall. Grab it at a discount.

I'll start by saying I bought the Power Armor Edition way back in 2018, and absolutely despised this game. Completely unfinished, nearly broken, and boring as could be. I think I stopped playing at around level 10. Coming back in 2022 (and getting it at a discount) allowed me to experience all the new additions and I can say that quite frankly, I'm having fun.

The addition of actual NPCs, not just robots and stupidly long Holotapes, adds much needed life into the game world. It also now has a dialogue system that is literally better than Fallout 4's. Not a high bar to cross but still great to see. While the Holotape fetch quests and tedious World Events are still here along with some bugs (God Rays still do clip through the ground, performance can be awful), it feels a lot more engaging and stable than it did at launch.

I also have to give special mention to the Map and Orchestral Score. I'd say about 75% of my playtime thus far has just been walking around and exploring. The game world is enormous and varied with regions that stand out from one another in a ton of ways from visuals, to enemies, to weather. It can look really stunning at times, even if it's a nearly 20 year old engine chugging along. The music by Inon Zur also stands out as probably the most beautiful OST in any Fallout game. I think I turned on the Pip-Boy Radio like, once? That's usually all I listen to in Fallout games, but man the orchestral stuff is too good.

All in all, I've done a 180 on this game and am having a lot of fun exploring the wastes. However, it's not worth $40, so grab it at a discount. PVP is also still garbo.

Its alright. It is a lot more fun playing with other people as it is multiplayer heavy but doing that every time you play it is kinda of a pain. There is a lot of new stuff in that fallout 4 didnt have but nothing interesting to me. It can be fun but you have to look for it. I will say this game is usually on sale and its worth the price for sure. Also the game doesnt explain each and every thing so expect to look guides like i did. Im level 16. I dont feel stronger than my level 1 guy. Not being able to make my guns better is rough. I do perfer Fallot 4 art style. The game looks very state of the art and looks very realistic. You will need a fancy system to run this. There is new content soon so i expect a player explosion and the multiplayer is fun. But dammit this game is not interesting in the slightest. Im starting to see why npcs werent in the game when it came out. Theyre very basic to below standard.

Only play this game if you have friends to play it with. The quality of this game is truly terrible, it goes beyond "rough around the edges". The game itself feels like a watered down Bethesda Fallout, the lore is laughable, the gameplay consists of 'go to place and kill thing' or 'go to place and read thing'. Considering how good ESO is it's a real shame this game is absolutely nothing like that and even after a few years it's still a broken, buggy, laggy mess. Only play this game if you're going to mess around with friends cause any other kind of experience is not worth it

Is Fallout 76 a good game? Yeah, there are some fun moments to be had. Is it a good Fallout game? Not really.

Fallout 76 is one of those games that was just doomed from its first announcement that it would be an online Fallout experience. From a broken launch with a barren wasteland, no NPCs, bugs galore (even for a Bethesda game), and Todd rays coming out of every ground surface imaginable. Let's not forget the duffel bag controversy, breaking their pay-to-win promise (refrigerators anyone? Pay for repair kits?!), the hilarious Nuka Cola Rum incident, and then the stupidly expensive Atom shop and the ridiculously priced Fallout Worlds so you can have a private server and unlimited stash storage. It felt like an uphill struggle for anyone but the true die-hard Fallout fans to enjoy this one.

So, why a mixed review? Well, the game has made some massive improvements since launch. Wastelanders was a real breath of fresh air and gave me hope for Fallout 76, but yet, the game keeps falling short. NPCs are in the game but pretty lifeless and forgetful overall (I honestly can't name a single character). There's no karma system, no real choices that matter in any meaningful way. Quest design leans heavily into the same problems of Fallout 4: go here, kill everyone, pick up key item, return to quest giver. The real problem here is that combat without VATs in a Fallout game is not good and this over-reliance on a weaker aspect of the game really shows how below standard the combat experience is. VATs shouldn't be in the game as they designed themselves into a corner since VATs couldn't freeze time in this MMORPG like in previous Fallout games. Instead, the percentage chances bounce around wildly as your character flails their arms around like a loon while trying to track the enemy. Comical? Yes. Useful? Hardly.

Speaking of enemies, the Scorched are pretty boring and so overused. It felt like every quest ended up fighting Scorched. Scorchbeasts are just reskinned dragons from Skyrim (for some reason?) and feel like a baffling choice for a Fallout game (melee builds are plain screwed I guess?).

The card system for levelling up is actually kinda interesting to mix up the levelling mechanics but would prefer they went back to older systems.

Scrap, repair, and survival mechanics . . . *sigh* All too often, I was left wandering around looking for items to keep repairing my best gear, only to be pushed towards the Atom Shop to 'pay' my way into fixing my gear. Just plain no. Oh, and paying caps to travel for some reason and how odd the whole forced in PvP aspect is? Honestly, in my 30 hours I only met maybe 3 players who just waved, gave me a thumbs up, and then ran off without trying to trade or join a team. Although, there was one true legend who was standing outside the vault and dropped 20 stimpacks. I don't remember your user name, but you are a true hero whoever you were! Sadly, this was pretty much my only interaction with anyone in the game. I imagine pretty much everyone playing this treats it like a single player experience.

After almost 30 hours, I had some moments of fun but not enough to want to keep playing. New Vegas still remains the best Fallout experience by far even to this day. Here's hoping for the next Fallout they learn from the mistakes of Fallout 76 and 4 and keep the series moving in a more RPG-focused direction and either overhaul their combat mechanics, or rely less on it and give us more options like older games to tackle quests. -- Review score: 5/10

This game has come a long way since the beta. I used to play on ps4 a lot till right after they added human NPCs and got bored of it. Coming back to the game over a year later its much more fun with lots more content and little to no toxic pvpers(that I have encountered) My only complaint about this game is the fact that its pay for advantage. All the content from the Fallout 1st subscription should already be included in the game apart from the monthly free atoms. A private experience, custom worlds, and a box to store specifically scrap should all be apart of the base game with no subscription. Especially since scrap is the main thing you need to store and your stash has a limited space compared to the scrap box being infinite. The subscription should only give extra rewards and monthly atoms and exclusive challenges. While I disagree with a subscription for any game, that is the compromise I wish for.

Story 3/10 (If you came looking for a good story... Sadly this won't do at all)
Music 10/10 (It's a Fallout game... Music's awesome, period)
Combat 8/10 (Actually a lot better than i expected, BUT... it feels WAY too easy)
Content 7/10 (With the new content they have been adding, it IS enjoyable)
Community 8/10 (Ignoring possible ******** trying to nuke your base out or rob you with absurd prices... There's some nice ppl out there that will help you out!)
Final Score 7/10 (If you came for nostalgia, not bad... If you came for a Fallout game, try the single player ones... If you wanted to play something LIKE fallout but with friends this is actually decent)

Considering you don't have to pay for the new content they have been adding, and the subscription is a PLUS and not a MUST... I would say go for it when it's on discount.

IF you have friends willing to buy this with you and none of you have played it before, then i totally recommend it.

Sadly there is still no real endgame but i hope that changes.

This game was a pile of garbage from the start. The BF2042 of the Fallout universe. They've continued to work on it month after month, year after year, and have turned it into something respectable. The world feels more alive, more characters are voiced now, and you can actually acquire resources. Previously, it seemed impossible to get even basic things like ammo just so you could explore. Also, there's been a shift in the player base temperament. Previously when I had played when the game first came out I would have high level players come by, kill me, and walk off. From what I've seen these days, everyone is eager to help each other and show new players the ropes.

The game is far from perfect and there are still bugs and issues with the game being online. It's still a drastic improvement from where it was, though. If you've been on the fence or had a similar poor experience like me, then I think you should consider giving it another try. I think you'll find it a worthwhile experience now.

SInce all the updates i finally decided to get it and give it a go and i've had fun so far, but the inventory limit on your stash box should be unlimited. Once you get to a certain level it's more of a battle with your storage then anything and your limited to how much you can actually sell at the trader in the train stations and the legendary machine. On sale the games worth atleast trying out.

Scrapbox isn't free which means your entire storage gets maxed out within 20 hrs of play. I payed SIXTY dollars for this game when it came out, only for them to ask for TWELVE FUCKING DOLLARS A MONTH for a subscription. TWELVE FUCKING DOLLARS... That's more than a god damn Netlifx subscription. I can't even store my shit and I can't believe they got away with this Microtransaction bullshit.
But for real, not that mad just disappointed.

we explored for a solid 5 hours, and the first quest we decide to do, was a damn crapfest. we dressed up in waitress uniforms and fumbled around complaining about the map and laughing ourselves half to death for a good 15 minutes, afterwards my lungs are broken and my throat is hoarse from laughing.

it took one, singular quest... to absolutely break us.

Fallout 76 is weird, A fallout game not for fallout fans. (It was in fact my introduction to the series) Dont run into the game expecting an endgame or competitive scene, this is a game to chill out with friends. Go shoot some irradiated monsters, do some quests, build a camp sky high, or try and collect every power armor the game has to offer.

The community is the best part of this game, if your under level 50 you are likely to be showered in gifts by veteran players, it is more than likely someone is willing to help you if you ask, or even if you don't. Just make sure to return the favor to newer players once you reach that level (its tradition).

While 76 does not have the most shining gameplay of the fallout series, it is still fun, especially if you jump into the game blind, the joy of discovering a new location, finding a new plan, or a cool weapon cannot be explained. I find fun in building my camp and shelter and trying to make them look as homelike as possible.
Even if you are jumping into the game looking for MAXIMUM enemy annihilation, look into a build, I am personally enjoying a shotgun build that allows me to shred most enemies into oblivion. So aimless or aimed you can have a good time. My personal recommendation is to jump into the game blind, explore what it has to offer in that department, then restart and do it with a build in mind, will likely up your enjoyment and playtime by a decent amount.

More Tips:
Buy the game on sale so you can share it with some friends(the game is 100% better with them)
Bugs and glitches can be fun, use them while they last.
Check the atomic shop daily as free items are given out every day.
Dont seek items from high level players, it is better to just run into them.
This is a game you can easily drop and pickup anytime, no FOMO here ( minus the seasons, but they basically give the same thing out every time (power armor skins), so your not missing much if you skip one)

Haven't played this game much, but it seems pretty similar to fallout 4. The leveling system using cards is a bit weird otherwise it seems great. I guess they either fixed the things that got the bad reviews or the problems are all around end game.

If you can get pasted the Atom Shop, the terrible release, and typical scummy Bethesda pre-orders that we all view with disgust. This game is actually pretty fun. The exploration in this game is similar to that of Skyrim, the gun mechanics are better than Fallout 4, Vats and Pip-Boy menu (obviously) doesn't pause the game which makes fighting more tense. Some battles actually require tactics, stealth, and thought. This game isn't easy to find stuff like Fallout 4. You get nothing, and have to slowly build up your arsenal of aid, ammo, armor, etc.

If you like exploring like in Skyrim, enjoying shooting like in Fallout 4, and enjoy playing online zombie like games... 100% worth on a Steam Sale and not at full price (I'm cheap).

I already have purchased Fallout 76 on the first years and it was bad, really BAD.
I gave it a second try these summer sale of 2022 and after about 10 hours of gameplay I would say that is not worth the full price neither the discounted price.

The map feels so empty. it is a post-apocaliptic ambient, and it does feel this way, nonetheless. there is no interation at all with the environment, NPCs are just to there to say their lines, traders. companions basically everyone. there is no such thing as a main mission, find the x? every fallout has been about finding X person but this time has been way too made. it's a MEO, Massively empty online, 24 players, everyone is doing their stuff, none interacts with each other. people join and leave your group only for the sake of extra experience that you receive if you are in group.

it is not worth the time, money comes and goes but time doesn't. stick with any previous Fallout game

This game was a meme when it first launched due to the terrible state it was in, but at this point in time, its basically a new fallout experience with MMO features sprinkled in.

Game isn't perfect, but I've definitely enjoyed it so far. If you enjoy fallout, I'm sure you'd enjoy 76.

Creatively bankrupt, boring, and filled to the brim with sweet nothings. Why would you ever play this and not FO4, FO3, or FNV? If you are the type to say "But it got updated!" then you are the same type of person to pre-order a game that has a sketchy development history and a poor performing writing staff and an uncaring optimization team, and then defend the game solely because you paid $60 for it.

There will NEVER be another good fallout game, I have finally come to accept this fact.

when it first came out it was easily a 1 star with the bugs the glitches no npcs no stimpacks no ammo no caps etc etc, i played it a year ago most of the bugs and glitches were gone but still id be level 50 with no caps no ammo no stimpacks, played it on gamepass for the last week or so, basically no bugs or glitches, a lot of the cheats people could do have been patched. Im level 79 now and ive got 100+ stimpacks, 1000s of caps, and 7000 rounds for my gatling gun and im genuinely having fun on it. looking forward to how they keep adding things and improving the game. 4/5 stars.

I personally love this game, but there a crap ton of glitches and bugs with it. For Example, Randomly Non-Legendary Enemies specifically harder ones such as Deathclaws and Assaultrons will randomly regain their entire Hp Bars. Also another one arguably more annoying is when you are shooting a ranged weapon and the bullets don't hit the target. It's like if the bullets disappeared as soon as they left the barrel. There's also not a large scope of enemy types in the game in Model terms. Scorches enemies don't look different 70% percent of the time but there is a boatload of prefixes that are attached to the enemies. There is a large variety of weapons and legendary Pre-Fixes. There are a lot of things about the Robot enemies that don't make sense such as when an Assaultron uses their laser attack and it hits all around them in a 360 radius neglecting the fact that the laser appears to only be firing infront of them, and a lot of Protectrons front sides have reduced damage even though their model shows what would make sense to be their weakpoint, instead their backs are their weakpoints. I don't know if it is just me but it seems like Melee builds are the most viable early game until late game where heavy weapons and legendaries are basically required most times. Nonetheless I like the game, but if you are new or not a big fan and looking to get into the franchise do not buy this game. If you are a long term fan of the Fallout Franchise and will to give up your money and roll the dice on either you'll like it then go ahead.

Decent game besides the bethesda jank and poor writing, the only thing I can really complain about is their predatory monetisation is, having to use atoms to get repair kits is kinda scummy imo, but you should be able to get enough atoms to buy repair kits by just playing (at least in my experience

Hard to really pinpoint what it is about the game I dislike so much. Nothing really seems cohesive in structure. You're just kind of thrown into the world without any defining story and you try to sink or swim. Not alot of information about the things you come across or how you should go about wether they are important or not.

The constant amount of lagging is incredibly frustrating. Everyone basically just plays solo which is awesome and grouping up is only really ever done to get a bonus to your stats but they make you pay 13 bucks a month if you want a truly solo experience. Going to have to give this one a thumbs down i'm afraid.

I played the B.E.T.A. back in 2018, and after the B.E.T.A. I played this game a whole month with my friends, friends who never played Fallout before, but even though I got them on the most buggiest & broken Fallout ever, we made memories worth reliving. That group of friends is no longer around but the memories & vibes still are when I play this solo. This game falls in place with all the other legends in my heart, and I recommend for anyone out there to give this game a try with their besties.

The game is completely broken. It crashes when I start it. It crashes while playing. It crashes when I try to exit the game. The game black screens my computer and wont stop running with alt f4 and will not allow task manager on the screen, forcing a hard restart/shutdown. The game runs poorly. The game is riddled with bugs and glitches.

I've amassed around 750 hours on Xbox, and this was mostly before, and also after Wastelanders came out.

Fallout 76 has come a long way with additions, updates, content, patches, changes, and all for the better.

It's been roughly a year since I last played and genuinely, I'm really enjoying coming back to rediscover the breadth of content it provides if you're the type to actually enjoy a game in its entirety; exploring nooks and crannies, uncovering lore, experiencing the different events--interacting with the polarizing, albeit relatively friendly and personable community.

If you love Fallout, and can understand the innate differences between this one and its siblings, you'll definitely enjoy this one, it's obviously multiplayer, yet you can still treat it as a single-player adventure--with others in it.

It stands out on its own, not as a Fallout game, but a multiplayer game--exceptionally unique in the way it pulls everything off.

I didn't really play this game at launch.

But I did play when they started "Fixing" the game, but on other side this game is- Pretty dang rad! The multiplayer is just the best idea for a Fallout game, and I will say yea there is bugs and P2W stuff I can move past that, and I will say I spend money on this game but hey that's my money. But again looking pass all the bugs and all the issues this game is pretty good.

I've been playing Fallout 76 for, oh, a few days. As a long time Fallout player I thought I'd give it a try. I guess I'm just unlucky as crap. I built a base a couple days ago... but wasn't sure I wanted to buy the greenhouse pack so I left a bunch of spots for glass walls, etc. Today, I bought some atomic rubbish currency specifically to get the greenhouse, log in, and oh, by the way, the greenhouse pack is no longer available. It's just GONE.

I think if you really like the single player games you're going to be disappointed here. Everything is gated behind level walls, pay walls, etc. and the pricing is ludicrous. And it appears if you miss the window to buys something for whatever reason you're out of luck.

Don't believe the other reviews saying this is "finally a good game." This is basically just fallout 4 with better graphics, microtransactions, and you can't use mods to fix the bad stuff. The new perk system is kinda neat I guess. And I still ran into a lot of bugs, two of which were so bad I have to force close the game with task manager.

Fallout 76 is definitely not as good as other fallout titles such as New Vegas or 4, but by no means is this a bad game. I Didn't play it on release and a lot of my friends said it was quite bad however I tried it and I it wasn't as bad as reviews suggest. If you have friends who have the game or if it's on sale I do recommend trying this one out, it has the largest map of any fallout game and its graphics are pretty good.

I like this game because it's a free roaming RPG with grouped events that change. The one thing I would have changed Is the starting quest line should have had a guide to take you to see every survey tower. Showing you around with a little back drop of whats going on in each location. And it should have two different sever modes, PVP RPG, and non PVP RPG severs. This way you would not have to rent a sever just to learn how to play without the fear of another player is going to kill you. Other than that it's a good game.

WORST FALLOUT GAME EVER!!!!!!!!! First, you buy the game and DLC that isn't really DLC. Both of which are not worth the money. Second, you have to sign in to your Bethesda account to even play the game. Then you play online with lots of other players. Also, don't forget to set the settings so that other players can't attack you or die alot and start over alot. Also, to get the really good stuff, you are FORCED to buy the ingame currency to purchase packs. Also, to get Legendary equipment, you have to do Events, most of which are way above your lvl and you will not complete for months unless you grind it out. Next, random events pop up along with random enemies with way higher lvl's than you will be starting out, so expect to die alot. That being said, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE OR PLAY ANOTHER FALLOUT GAME and I love the series. Sad to see Bethesda being so money hungry that they produce a horrible game, hoping that you wont notice, meanwhile being money grubbing thieves. Also, you are forced to play online with others, there is no getting around this.
