Literally the worst 'PC' game I've ever played. Zero optimization or controls were ported to PC. Zero ability to change keybinds or even see what the actual keyboard keys are relative to all the ingame HUD indicating controls.

Do not buy this.

Vladimar
Vladimar

No keyboard controls, only controller keybinds. No options to switch.

Friends sat in the lobby to join a multiplayer match for 30 mins while i was downloading, only one lobby open zero players. games wont start even if there's one car on each team.

Absolutely don't recommend buying this game on launch.

I don't normally review games but man lol this shit is garbage as hell! Please do NOT buy this, rent this or even borrow this!

I also ONLY purchased this (WHICH IS OVERPRICED LIKE SEVERELY) for my youtube channel at AdiGames where you can watch how shit this game is in 4K (ITS SHIT BUT CRISPY CLEAR SHIT)

I wanna say even if you got this game as a free gift I would still refund it.

I play PC with a controller on most games and still its really bad, the driving mechanics are horrible, the car jerks to one side extremely fast and hard and like you have no control, you crash most of the time and end up having to do a UTURN to go back.

i will say some of the stuff is cool like fighting a tank, driving down a cliff to avoid falling rocks and chasing a train, just a few stunts like in the movies but on a much much lower shittier version.

ill give them the credit for some of the cutscenes and the models which look pretty good, especially Dom (Vin Diesel) but other than that the game is poorly made, if you are in the city you will find that most of the time if not ALL OF THE DAMN TIME the AI cars drive into your lane or swerve right into you while you drive, the AI doesnt even seem to exist since i watched some of them and they cause more accidents than they are programmed for. Overall i would definitely tell you to avoid this game, I only purchased this to make a playthrough on my channel. Thats it, you can go there and watch this bad game in glorious 4K Max Settings.

Would not recommend unless you want to play with controller. does not have native keyboard keybinds in settings so you have to guess what buttons to push when playing. the graphics arent too bad but still not great. and the mechanics are clunky at best. 2/5.

Terrible game. They only focused on the Graphics and the cars. The voice acting in some parts sound like they didnt want to be there. Gameplay was garbage. When you run into a traffic car, it will look like it got hit by a train. There are no Keyboard configurations at all and only shows controller controls. Trust me when I say its hard to find keyboard controls. I.E. Handbrake is the Left Shift button and Nitro is Spacebar. You cannot manually customise the graphical settings at all you only get to choose from Very low, Low, Medium Low, Medium, High and Very High. Now for someone who is running an intel i5-9400f, 16gb ram, rx 570 8g on very low and still getting shit frames is quite upsetting when it specifically says: Minimum graphics gtx 660. Kinda funny how my card is roughly equivalent to a GTX 990 - 1050 (somewhere around there im not quite sure dont quote me on it). Honestly dont waste your money on this game but if you do want this game wait till its at least on sale or you get it free.

FnF Crossroad is a pretty ok game, if you can get over the graphical errors ,4 hour story modes and odd driving physics. If your a Fast and Furious fan the game is just littered with little throwbacks to past movies cars like the Yanko Camaro and past characters and locations being thrown or told about in the players face in both the story and Multiplayer mode. the gameplay is super hectic as the game will throw packs of Jaguar F-types and land rover type goon vehicle at you as your chase down your target with the whole city all have the same idea to go on a quick drive with the roads in such disarray that the easy and safer route is to be airborne the whole time then weaving through the ai traffic ,the ai have a habit of getting a quick burst of speed when hit, and ridiculous amounts of rubber banding during the only two races in the game but at the end of of it all you should get it on sale or when the price drops.

I have played a Single Player Story for 6 hours & for the most part i enjoyed it , It was A OK , nothing more , nothing less . However i also wished that i didn't play a Campaign First , due to a Empty Multiplayer Online Lobby's with an instant Error Message , you are disconnected from the servers , the reason i say this , cause if i had checked the Online First , i would have Refunded this garbage quicker then you could drink your Cold Water .

I blame both NAMCO & STEAM for allowing this Garbage to even exist on Steam Platform , i even felt like creating a petition against NAMCO & STEAM for misleading customer on thinking that Online Multiplayer Works ???? it does not & this is true for all platforms including PS4 & XBOX .

Vin Diesel should be ashamed of him self , & if he says he cares about his FANS , then he should refund all of us Money :)

4/10 game, only buy if you're a fast and furious fan when its on sale because $60 is a bit too ambitious.

Story mode is about 4 hours long and in order to unlock all the bonus content (behind the scenes stuff + facts and trivia about the series) you have to level up in online ops. Only problem with that is you can't play online without a full lobby of 9 players which there is probably a better chance of a snowball appearing in hell.

If you are a guy who is playing a 3d game for the first time then this is worth it but if it is not your first 3d game dont buy it..

The story is okay it's not that good but I can understand f&f is no more a street racing focused anymore, The gameplay is not that overwhelming but got used to the handling as I progressed through the game, the graphics is okay and the multiplayer... oh no no no no , I don't get a fricking lobby to play with and that was the thing I was really intrigued about and the price of this game is really a headache

buy the game on sale if you're really interested but overall the game's really disappointing and the multiplayer is already dead

This game is the worst driving game i have played the story is not great game play and enjoyment is very low
This game is not worth £49.99 maybe £15-£20.

This game is short, terrible, and no where near $60. If it wasn't for the steam refund policy I would've never bought it in the first place.

I still cannot believe anyone in their right mind let this game release to public.

I paid a full $60 for this game and DID NOT receive a free copy. At time of review I'm currently sitting at 19.1 hours played. Easily, the most hours played of this game on Steam. By literally anyone. Even the devs.

Let's start with the solo campaign. THREE straight hours of explosions, fast cars, arm crossing, and FAMILY. How could I forget the family. One of the best, if not the literal best, story-lines I've experienced in a game this year.

Now, onto the multiplayer. Let me tell you, it makes me so extremely sad to see that no one is still around to play it. My first match of the Battle Royale mode was incredible. Seat of your pants action from launching your car out of a plane to re-uniting our FAMILY for an incredibly delicious chicken dinner with Coronas.

I give it 10 spoon engines out of 10. FAMILY.

Charging $79.99 for this pile of s&%t is absolutely criminal, once you beat the awful 5 hour story mode (100%) you’ll be pleased to find out no one plays the multiplayer (Shocking) so after 5 hours you’ll have completed the experience. Also You’ll play most of the story as two lame characters introduced for this crappy game and rarely get any time as the franchise regulars. 1/10

its an alright base of a game, theres no car sounds even with everything else all turned off, no fullscreen, no customization of any kind, glad i only paid 4 bucks for this on a special off of kinguin

This game is actually worse than you think it is.

But on the plus side, if you think you have to experience it (you don't), it can be finished in less than four hours.

MiltonAngelSoto

This game is poorly optimized, visual bugs that can show seizure inducing images while driving. Driving in the cave can cause motion sickness that i never felt before in cars or other games. You see vehicles getting thrown up into the air from far away. I get mid 50's fps with an rtx 2080 super, i9-10900k cpu and 64gb ram pc on ultrawide monitor. The graphics arent great, you see the lines around vehicles to the point it looks like a paper cutout pasted to world. No multiplayer because no one is on to play with. Cant finish achievements. I recommend not paying more than $5 at most. Do NOT buy the season pass, just standard game because no online players to play with. Game can be beaten in 4-5 hours.

So let me begin this review by saying, I am a hardcore F&F fan. I did not feel the need to spend $70 on a game with so many bad reviews. After a long wait, it was on sale and I bought it. The 2 hour return frame canceled itself because the download took way to long, Wasn't able to connect to enough peers. (Hint 1). Secondly, The controller aspect is damn near impossible to control, Settings are limited. (Hint 2). The audio is all choppy and doesn't go with the mouth movement at times. (Hint 3).
Lastly, Multiplayer sucks. I sat in a lobby for 30 minutes with no other players. (Hint 4). Now, for a $70 game , you would think it would be way better than it really is. Don't let the videos fool you folks, this was a waste of time and money.

I didnt expect a game this new could be so horrible.
Yes i did read the reviews but still didnt think it could be so bad.
Game has 2 hours worth of content which 50% of it is unskippable cutscenes.
I was exited to try the multiplayer since all the dlc is just for multiplayer but after 10min in que there was still 1/9 players in the lobby so dlc is all useless.
I guess the whole budjet of the game went to the actors vin diesel etc to say few lines in the game and appear in cutscenes.
The graphics are pretty much same as need for speeds from 2005 and the handling oh boy there is no speedometer the cars just slide on the roads and nitros just blur the whole world and launch your car.
Only good side that i found in this game is that its so horrible and badly made i cant stop laughing at it while playing.
So yeah its worth like 10€ at max since its a nice piece to the collection because the licenses will propably expire soon.
Someone looking for actual gameplay this game is just a huge NO!
For collectors maybe picking it up from sale just for the sake of it.

Only for fans. Not really a racing game. More like action movie game. It is mostly just driving through scripted events, doing QTE's, and side swiping vehicles. Some weird mission objectives at times so you don't always know where to go. Good thing there are checkpoints so you can jump right back into the action. Felt good to play it after watching F9.

point & click
point & click

Chase scene with action sequence. Dramatic exit from car.

It's a new story with 3 returning characters and a handful of new ones each with personalities. I'm glad they didn't use the entire cast, it would have felt overcrowded, but here everyone plays nice with each other and nobody eats your ear off.

Sometimes you're trying to reach a checkpoint before time expires, or escaping a hot pursuit and outrunning an obstacle like a rockslide or cave-in. No free-roam, just drive straight and avoid collisions. You'll use boost, a harpoon, a rocket launcher, a hacking device, or just bash cars left and right. The bosses are like taking down a caravan. Restarting does not put you back far away. There are zero pedestrians and don't worry about all the other cars on the road, they bounce right out of the way.

"I'm not chasing him. He's running from me."

I suppose it gets a lot of flack for the price and brevity, and there was one crash I had and sometimes the lips don't sync. Otherwise, everyone does their real voice and you're always in the action. Meet'cha back at base.

I actually, um, "obtained" a copy of this game through questionably legal means and played it. Upon completion I realized something...

You don't steal from family.

No but really! Did you know this game was co-developed by Vin Diesel's own personal video game studio? Did you even know Vin Diesel founded a game studio? That's wild isn't it?

One quick thing to get out of the way before writing this review: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BUY THE DELUXE EDITION/SEASON PASS. THEY'RE ALL MULTIPLAYER-ONLY CONTENT AND THE MULTIPLAYER IS DEAD.

I know what you're probably thinking. Why the heck is this reject writing an actual serious review of Fast & Furious Crossroads and, more importantly, why are they fucking recommending it? I'll preface this by saying I *ONLY* recommend this game when it's on sale for under 20 freedom bucks. At it's regular retail price ($39.99) nearly 2 years later you're getting a 4 hour single player campaign with a dead multiplayer... not that it ever had a robust multiplayer to begin with. It was dead on arrival. By that I mean there was was an all-time peak of 21 players. Yes, seriously. Twenty-one. It's a shame because looking at the menus and customization there really is a lot of depth there and it seems like they were really banking on the multiplayer to actually carry this game along. This review will be about what is available in the package; the single player.

Fast & Furious Crossroads is borderline incompetent. Its design, physics, gameplay, controls, and basically everything when it comes to the interactivity between the player and the world are so archaic and buggy you'd think it was made by some fresh grad kids who were handed the license and told to churn something out ASAP to capitalize off Fast 9's upcoming release. You'd be surprised to learn that, no actually, this was mainly developed by a studio who has had not one, not two, not three, not even four, but FIVE RACING GAMES under their belt in the last 11 years before F&F's release. Major ones too. We're talking about franchises like Project CARS and Need for Speed: Shift here!

So, why do I recommend it? Because, despite it being broken beyond belief, Fast & Furious Crossroads is one of the most entertaining experiences I've ever had. This game is busted to the point of being absolutely hilarious. This is something that's best experienced with your friends either watching you play or taking turns playing. It's the equivalent of video game junk food. The story is nonsensical. The graphics are absolutely horrendous, the gameplay and narrative are ridiculous and sometimes difficult to follow but you'll be laughing your asses off the whole way. It was entertaining enough for me that I actually felt bad about stealing Vin Diesel's game so I gave him $16.

It's worth mentioning that there does seem to be a bit of passion in this game's development and will probably satisfy Fast & Furious fans. I can't exactly confirm it but there's various nods to the older films in the franchise in the dialogue, there are collectibles that give you facts and trivia about the movies as well, and the game features three of the original cast in where all three characters are actually played by their movie actors. It's a shame that you're forced to mostly spend time with two new characters for this game's story that just truly and honestly suck but, overall, this is a good time and you definitely should get the boys over, pop a couple of cold ones, and get hammered while playing this ridiculous piece of shit.

it's fun arcade game not bad at all i know it's not forza or Gran Turismo but it's worth it to play and there is 2 problems with the game 1- cutscenes quality is ps2 and the price is not worth it the gameplay quality is great
the story is good too here is pros and cons list

pros
1- story mode . story mode gameplay like Driver: San Francisco
2- voice actors
3- music & soundtracks
4- trading cards
5-online pvp 3 teams idea is good like twisted metal mixed with need for speed

cons
1- cutscenes
2- hard to drift
3- the map is okay but it should help drifting
4- price so high at least normal 9.99$ maximum price and for deluxe edition 50$ will be better

I am a big Fast and Furious fan and when I heard about this game being garbage, I wanted to see if it was just unpopular. But no, it really is garbage. The controls aren't terrible, but the lack of a minimap with road guides makes it bad. Having to use audio cues from the characters speaking and the visual cues in front of the car, on top of moody lighting, makes traversing the map a pain. The story and gameplay balance, at least the in the beginning, it very uninteresting. The game opens with Dom and Letty chasing down a tank, but even that's a chore. The speeds are all really inconsistent between you and the CPU's so having to grind your car up against the tank for a repeated amount of time to destroy took way more effort and time than it should have. All of that annoyance to get a really braindead and unnatural exposition cutscene. Then the rest of the story I played followed up on the lead Dom and Letty found by switching to a really obnoxious and unlikable new main character, Vienna. The only credit I give to this MC is she has a legit root in the franchise for this spin-off to grab hold of, but that is very little credit at this point. Then pretty much, there is a really boring lead up to a street race that's really annoying because of the lack of map and moody lighting ruining the controls and gameplay, then the race ends and Letty comes back for a minute to give a hint to Vienna, then Vienna and the other girl whose name I forgot because the story is so boring go to a police impound to check the hint out. It was at that point I was getting fed up with being a glorified auto-taxi between cutscenes.

I think if the story was adapted into an animated spin-off, it would be better. But having it as a game feels like a TV show with intermissions where you drive the characters to wherever yourself, with little racing action involved. Maybe if this game was like Grand Theft Auto and more of an open-world exploration game, that would work well.

Overall, the game is boring, underwhelming, frustrating, and annoying. You're better off watching the movies, playing Grand Theft Auto V, or both.

3.7/10 - Boring story that doesn't keep you attached paired with poor driving experience with little action gameplay. Graphics aren't the best but not the worst. I wouldn't have known who Letty was supposed to be without Michelle Rodriguez voicing her.

This is truly as bad as the others say it is.

The story plot and the cars handling are just awful, I think Slightly Mad Studios are walking the same path as Rockstar, and that's very bad

This game is beautiful. It is a masterpiece that will (probably not) be remembered for years to come. Let me explain why:

Graphics:

This game took me on a nostalgia trip with the late PS2/early PS3 graphics. The explosions and particle effects in particular especially take me back to that era, thank you game.

Controls & Physics:

The physics are beautiful in how inconsistent and abusable they are. I even encountered a NOPD officer that got his pickup to clip into the ground! Vehicle physics are pretty uncanny as well. Other than all that however, it's pretty much just cookie cutter controls.

Story:

This may have been the greatest poorly executed story that I've ever seen. From the lack of exposition via cutscenes to the over reliance on set pieces, this game's ridiculous final mission (no spoilers, sorry) is the most incredible ending I've ever seen.

Multiplayer:

That exists? Could've fooled me. It's not like I'd ever be able to partake in it with only 3 people playing the game over the past hour (at the time of review) though.

Gameplay:

I hope you can deal with inconsistent car physics for the entire game, because that's the gameplay loop: 'drive, fulfill mission objective while driving, put up with a cutscene, miss important exposition, repeat.'

F A M I L Y :

This game might just be the greatest family game of all time. It's all about family, the game is short and sweet, allowing you to get back to spending time with your family, there's multiplayer so the entire family can get involved, this is the perfect game for you and your family.

In closing:

All joking aside, this is a bad game. I'd argue this is, to some degree, shovelware for the eighth generation. I would not recommend this game, but not only is the game being pulled from listings today, but you also never leave family behind.

This game may be killed today, but the family within will always live on.

My final rating is: F a m i l y/10

Miles

I actually liked it, and will probably replay at some point. It's too bad the player-base was not big enough for the multiplayer to ever really have a chance.

AntAir
AntAir

The game is heinous, it's like a bad early 2000s movie-adaptation game. It looks and plays like a dated Xbox 360 exclusive. The story is corny and ludicrous, and not in the way the movies are, which at least *try* to explain what's going on. The new characters are so awful. I beat the game in a single 4 hour sitting, the only reason it says 6 hours is because I stopped to take a nap. Anyway, I fucking loved the whole experience. Truly a bad game gem. Never play this; it is ultimately a good thing it will be lost to time. But I can't say it didn't mean anything to me.
