Important note: The multiplayer is OFFLINE only, up to 4 players locally. When I bought the game it said "Multiplayer", but has now been fixed to say "local co-op".

Here's a first impressions video; review continues below:

This game plays like a mild-mannered cousin of Agar.io and Sparkle Evolution. You play as a small organism who you move around the screen, eating everything smaller than you and avoiding things bigger than you. You do this until you evolve, and then you do it again as an 'evolved' version of the previous creature. When you evolve, gameplay changes a bit in things like speed, acceleration, and additional abilities like a dash move.

The sound is nice and the music fits really well. The graphics are lovely- simple, but not plain. And that's what you'd want from this sort of title.

I'm torn on whether to recommend it or not, as it's only 99 cents and is obviously well made, but I'm really not sure I'll ever play it again. I'm going to say YES.

A fun, simple and pretty looking game. Definitely in the Agar.io family, this is worth checking out for just a dollar.

If you want to be lost in a world where you're struggling through a chaos and want to make your way out of it, then this game will take you to a place where you will feel both sense of accomplishment and deep void. You have to make your choice.

Definitely an interesting piece.

P.s I got bored pretty quickly though.

This game is AMAZING! But every game needs too improve. so here are some ideas.

1.) Make a back round that doest move with you. When you first start out in a evolution its really hard to tell if your moving or not.

2.) SAND BOX MODE!!!! When I first used the chill out mode, it relived me of alot of stress! But then i thought... What if there was a mode where it started out blank. and you had the option to add feesh and invormental stuff in it. also change the colors of stuff.

3.) add invormental stuff.

4.) Add a bunch of cool music to it! well i shoud say add a diferent song with a diferent mood with each evolution.

5.) Make it so you can see your mass (not points, mass) and otheres mass so you know if you are big enough to devour their soul or not.

5.) online mode, of course!

6.) A way to earn money and spend it on health. But you can't use that health in shark mode!

7.) If you don't like #6, then i have a solution, bubbles with hearts in the middle. but thats a little bland dont you think? I think there should be somthing else in there, the bubble.

A very fun game, well worth the $.99!
The stylized fish/feesh give it a unique look, and combined with the music, the game can be pretty relaxing!
While each level starts out tough as you struggle to catch the smaller feesh, once you fall into the rhythm, it becomes a lot easier; the final moments before you evolve each time has those tinier feesh practically swimming towards your mouth.
Which can probably work as a metaphor, or something.

Think of it as Agario but with fish, the controls are not that great but its worth the 63p or even better with a reedemed coupon.

Good if youre bored.

Thus far I'm going to have to say that this is a fine game with a premise I've always enjoyed: Eat stuff smaller than you to get bigger, don't get eaten by stuff bigger than you.

However, the controls are absolute crap and there seems to be no options regarding music/sound, which is a bit loud. I'm writing this after a fairly short amount of time with the game, and it's still a new release, so changes are entirely possible, and changes to this review would certainly follow suit.

And hey, it's only a dollar. Giving this a tentative recommend and hoping for a patch or two.

Edit: The developer has promised to add volume controls in an update.

I hate indie games. And I hate it when people write words wrong on purpose. And if there is one thing in this world that I can't STAND then it's sharks.

But the game reminds me of the first level from Spore, so why not?

Well, it only took me playing the game for a hour and a half straight to get a score of over 1 million and be on top of the leaderboards. Was it worth it? Probablly not. Was it fun? Fairly. Will I do it again? Yup, as soon as I see someone has beat my score. The game is quite entertaining for only $1 so I don't really see the point in not buying it especially if you like the first stage of Spore or like Agar.io. It's not the most revolutionary game out there but it is a fun little time killer. The one downside I have seen? The multiplayer kinda sucks. It starts and someone gets a little bigger than the other player/players and wrecks face then it is over. It only lasts about 1 to 2 min. If that got changed than I would 100% recommend this game for $1. Pick up the game if you want something to do for a little while or to play every now and then. I don't think it will hold you for to long though. If you are looking for a game to play all day this probablly isn't it. I rate it 8/10

I'll save you some time, go play agar.io instead.

The moment you open the game you will run for the mute button. The title screen music is horrible. The in-game music however is fairly relaxing.

I've given the game a couple tries with friends, and it bugs out every chance it gets. These are not small problems either, they are game stopping. Every game we played we had to restart because the controls would not respond properly, or at all. Player 4 gets booted from the game as soon as it starts. The start menu has no way of exiting, as the exit button doesn't work. Really, it is just not a well made game, save your money.

EDIT: I thought I should add that most of these problems occured during multiplayer. Arcade mode seems to have less problems. This game is however severly lacking without multiplayer.

I stumbled across this game 0300 on a wensday when I got a coupon drop from collecting badges and BAM. FEESH!
I'm not saying this game was meant for me but I have been using the word "feesh" since life started and the fact there is a freakin "CHILLOUT" mode is the best! So yes, this game was meant for me.

First of all, I reviewed this as a no, but that's just for the reasons I list below. There ARE some people that will like this, but not me, because:

Pros:
- It has good unique species what other this kind of games don't have
- It's relaxing, controller supported

Cons:
- Music is kinda bad
- No goal, see the reason #3
- IT'S WAY TOO EASY! Alright I know, it's chillout game but, I got bored after first time I played it, since I got all achivements (2 of them are bugged, didn't get them), Arcade never gets harder a.k.a. after third time trying it was just infinite repeating. None of the achievements were hard, thought so when reading the descriptions "No-one is ever gonna get this O.O" and I actually got it at first try. Also, only 9 achievements. This feels way too Early Access
- I got excited when it read "Multiplayer" after playing too-easy singelplayer. Turned out it was LAN only.

For children this would be good game. I'm not a child anymore, it's a no.

People seem to rave about the value of this game considering its $0.99. I've played free games that are very minimalist but still fun. At best this is a work in progress.

PRO
- well done on making a game in such a short period of time.

CONS
- little replay value
- small playable area
- chill out mode is pointless
- arcade mode progression is not rewarding (you 'evlolve' and have to start again. if you die you start all the way back fromt the start again).

Overall no price is right for this game.

Cant get past the second evolution. I've tried countless times now, the sharks are far too punishing to make the game fun. I understand having a predator that can eat you and follows you around but dont have 50 of them on 1 level unless its the shark attack mode. Theres no place for that shit in arcade or multiplayer. You get to the dashing feesh and the screen is so small that you dash right into a shark and theres NOTHING you can do. Its no longer a game about avoiding larger feesh and trying to eat, its a game about if you are lucky enough not to run into one of the 10+ sharks that are forever hunting you. DONT GET THIS GAME IN ITS CURRENT STATE!

To the Developer: If you dont plan to reduce the shark number to 2 max at any given point in arcade or multiplayer, then at the very least add an indicator that shows where the sharks are on the edge of the screen. Like a small icon pointing toward them so you dont blindly dash to your death. Both would be great and I would gladly give it another try after that.

When I gave this game to my friend, he found it oddly relaxing. And I did too! This game is perfect for relaxing and calming down after being stressed out. Plus, you don't really have to worry about inappropriate names in Agar.io, slither.io or Wings.io!

This game is cheap but the deal is good!

Trading cards are broken. So if you are planning on buying it on sale just to make a profit on the cards or have stock for trading, don't get it just yet. I have played for over 2 hours and have evolved many times after the 2 hour mark. I'm not sure what warrants a trading card on this game. However, if you are buying it to get a refreshing new kinda game, then I would suggest it. Although it is somewhat similar to maybe Agar.io, it brings new stuff to the table including evolving, having to be more cautious around certain feesh, and a few other aspects. There is one problem with it however. On shark Attack mode and Arcade. There are far too many sharks and they can spawn right in front of you while you are going too fast to stop, which is a finisher at lower sizes. But as the developer may still be making changes to it these may be ironed out to make a spectacular game. I give it 8/10.

I've watched youtube commentators talk about whatever while playing Agar.io in the background. While never having played Agar.io, I understood it was mindless and a time killer. Seeing this game, I felt this looks like Agar.io with more going on and more of a "game" element about it rather than just floating about the screen.
That being said, I found that Feesh was worse than Agar.io in that you have sharks and other specific enemies actually hunting you out and being faster than you.
In Agar.io, you usually feel it is justified that you have to start all over, as you were either getting to close to enemies much bigger than you, or getting to greedy and moving into dangerous territory. In Feesh, most times are not justified, as it just turns out the Shark that has been honing in on you the whole game actually caught up finally.
The only good thing I found about this game is it makes you appreciate Agar.io as actually being a finely balanced, although mindless game. You do actually take risks in Agar.io, putting you in danger to get that extra morsel of food, giving it a psychological likeness to many casino games, where balancing risk and reward is the actual skill involved in the game.
In summary, if you like this kind of stuff, buy Agar.io rather than this.

The basic premise of the game is simple. The tiny feesh has to eat smaller feesh to grow in size, whilst avoiding being eaten by bigger feesh. Some have special skills, such as producing child feesh. Some are more aggressive than the rest, such as the sharks that will track down the player feesh.

Arcade mode is the main one I played. After reaching a certain size, the feesh evolves into a different type. My main criticism here is that this doesn't unlock the new type permanently. I'm never going to be good enough to play through all the different creatures in one game, so it'd be nice if I could start with a later creature. That way, I'd have a chance to eventually play all the available types.

I liked the way the other feesh are doing the same thing as the player feesh. Sometimes one of those feesh will end up growing very large, as they successfully manage to eat loads of tiny feesh. It creates the feel of a working ecosystem, where the player is no more important than any of the other feesh. Eaten feesh respawn elsewhere, so there will always be other feesh around to continue the game.

The art style is fairly minimalistic with a whimsical flair. I'd note there are some flashes of light at times, though it's more of a gradual increase in light rather than a strobe effect.

This is the sort of game for playing a round in odd moments. It doesn't have a whole lot of depth, but what it does have is nicely done. It's cute and I enjoyed the feel of the art and the funny descriptions of the feesh.

A simple fun game that is easy to get 100% achievements on. Good for something to grind for the night, but I haven't gone back to it since. However I did only play singleplayer, I don't know what multiplayer is like. So I would say 'yes' to recommend because it is a well put together fun game, but it is only a few hours of gameplay which is definitely no problem for the price.

You will not get passed the second stage unless you are very lucky and if you do, you will be disappointed. The second stage is the only one where you have a special ability, every other evo is the same as the first with a different picture (there is one other where you can hold the button down and it kinda sucks things toward you a bit, it doesn't count), you don't even get to play as any of the more interesting creatures that you see.
The sharks Bee-Line right for you as soon as they spawn anywhere on the "Map", even on your face, insta-gibbing you and they don't stop spawning, ever.
Eventually you evo into a shark and the sharks still go after you.
Then...... when you have eaten everything as a shark (since you have cheated with god mode) and you evo again, what glorious thing will the ultimate creature evolve into?..... the starting creature.... and you loop from the start over again.... F you game.

Feesh is a unique arcade-style game with minimalist visuals and a chill, ambient soundtrack. The game was made by Tj Hughes, an up-and-coming indie dev & musician from St Louis, as his first commercially released project. Tj began work on Feesh at age 16, which explains the tounge-and-cheek-natured writing on the game's store page and in the in-game instructions.
The objective of the main game (Arcade mode) is to eat other fish smaller than you so you can evolve to a new form and move on the the next stage. Stages get progressivley more difficult and each one introduces a new gimmick that you can use to your advantage.
You have to eat fish smaller than you, otherwise you'll get eaten yourself and lose a life. There are many different kinds of fish, some have unique ways to hamper your progress, others give you perks like shrinking larger fish that are nearby.
It's a very difficult game, seeing as you have no idea if a larger fish or shark is nearby, meaning you have to react quickly. It adds an element of survival, and with the floaty controls it feels somewhat like Sinistar (Google it), which I happen to like.
The game also has a Chill Out mode where you can sit back and watch the AI-controlled fish glide around and eat each other. There's also Shark Attack mode, a brutally difficult gamemode where you're being hunted down by a huge swarm of sharks.
Overall, Feesh is a nice little game, and a promising start for a young, self-taught developer.
I should note that Tj Hughes is currently working on an experimental art-game called Nour, which just so happened to surpass its $25k Kickstarter goal the other day. Having backed Nour I'm really excited to see how much Tj's skills have improved since he made Feesh, once the game comes out early next year.

A chill game where you are a feesh that eats littler feesh and avoids bigger feesh. It's like mitos.is only more chill. There's even a chill out mode where you can just watch feesh eat each other and see who gets the biggest. Definitley worth 99 cents. If you want it and are apprehensive about spending 99 cents, wait for a sale. This is in my relax category for when I just need to unwind.

Feesh is an enjoyable offline multiplayer game that’s very minimalistic and yet colorful in its design. Each “evolution” lasts about 3 min and you keep evolving your creature until you run out of lives and the game ends.

For only $0.99, it’s a pretty good game you can play with other household members, or just play a short game or two by yourself.

[OvO]wl
[OvO]wl

It's not a bad game, the main issue seems to be that after a game over the mouse stops working, and it's a bit of a pain to exit the game and enter back into it.

Aside from this, the point of the game is to judge things you can eat, as you eat them you get bigger, if they are bigger than you, then you lose a life.

Smelvin
Smelvin

Pretty good incremental growth game, but the ability progression for each level feels a little out of order imo. I couldn't get past the "crustacean" level 4, so i'm not sure what comes after that. Also, after a certain size, enemies stop posing any sort of challenge and the game becomes akin to a late-game Katamari level. i'd say its worth the 99 cents if you're looking for something pretty chill.

。・𝓑𝓲𝓷𝓷𝔂・゚
。・𝓑𝓲𝓷𝓷𝔂・゚

This is a fun and creative little game, and I was very impressed when I learned it was made in only two days!

You play as a microscopic creature in a petri dish that must consume smaller creatures to grow and eventually evolve into a different type once you beat the level, all while avoiding larger creatures. If you make contact with a larger one, you lose a life, while if you touch a smaller one, your creature grows bigger. Each species has different characteristics that can help or hinder your feesh, such as red ones that make you grow smaller, pulsating ones that pull you towards them, ones with tentacles that temporarily halt your movement, etc. that you'll need to familiarize yourself with if you hope to clear the later levels.

I really love the simplistic-but-unique design of this game. The music and atmosphere are relaxing, and the gameplay was challenging enough to keep me coming back until I unlocked all the achievements, but also not impossible for a casual player like me. Well worth the ninety-nine cents!

This game is pretty fun. It's easy to just pick it up and play every once in a while to try to beat your high score. It is also a challenge, as it is a eat or be eaten kind of game. Overall, it's a fun game.

No_cOmpLy

Actually the game is fun. The only problem is when you are small and just starting out, some other creatures zoom around so fast that you will get eaten before you ever even notice them. Making it almost impossible to progress. Good luck getting past the 3rd or 4th round consistently. I think the developer needs to make movement slower so you have time to react, or allow the player to zoom out so we can see what is coming at us!
