The controls are sensationally optimized, this game is an example of how to make a perfect platformer! Great feedback on movement, very well done jump, super smooth wall movements. I loved the game as a whole! The atmosphere, the levels, the gameplay itself, this is really an amazing game.

It's an alright platformer, fairly short and cheap. It's kinda interesting how the second half has the reverse levels of the first half but the level design barely really makes this interesting? There aren't a whole lot of obstacles that are approached differently by doing them backward.Ultimately what pushed me to a negative review is the screen transitions. They're 3 seconds long which doesn't seem long but it gets annoying. Side transitions stay in the annoying territory but when the level wants you to go upwards it just becomes frustrating. It's really annoying to try to time a wall jump when you have to know exactly when the transition ends. since Froggie falls pretty fast it's really common to wall jump, transition, miss the next wall jump because you are barely on the next screen, transition again and repeat until you get lucky.Maybe others would enjoy it when I couldn't, it's a dollar so what do you really have to lose?

Not TOO hard and yet not too easy. It stumped me and frustrated me a few times to where I had to take a break, but i still beat the game in just over an hour. Super simple with a nice art style.
Also makes for an easy 100% game!

Similar to but harder than Cattie. In this one we can kill enemies jumping on their heads. Nice gameplay, annoying screen transitions and music. I still recommend it if you like precision platformers, but not in a hardcore way.

Literally a duplicate game of "Cattie" to the degree of every levels design, including levels 51-100 which are the same as the first 50. The only difference is the title saying FROGGIE instead of CATTIE and the character sprite is now a FROG vs a CAT. I don't understand why a game would be released like this. This is the type of thing DLC is for. Buy a Frog skin or Cat skin or whatever and most importantly, a game needs new content and new levels.

Such a simple platformer.
Not too easy, but not hard either.
Simply walk, jump and avoid enemies and spikes.
No double jump, no dash ability.
It doesn't even have colour.
Just simple platforming.
And honestly, that's pretty fun!

Although Froggie is cheap it is also very short, so I recommend to wait for a sale: just 42 minutes from start to finish. Most levels are very short, only in the last levels you get some more interesting level design with switches to hit and some back tracking.
Replayability could be improved if the game would for instance keep track of your fastest times, and number of deaths in a single run.

So, this is certainly a hard and fun game. It more than lives up to its reputation as a platformer retro.

You will likely get frustrated while playing through the game, but that's what you signed up for, it's a pretty good game.

It's so good I started crying... I know this may sound strange but when I was playing Froggie I began having flashbacks of when I was a 14 y/o boy playing Frogger with Alex who was my frog back then. Unfortunately, Alex is not here anymore to make me company while playing Froggie, but this game made me deeply revive those moments, thanks so much.

The second game in Verigu's series of platformer games (the first being 10 Seconds to Win!), Froggie is an improvement.
This game took me 45 minutes to fully complete all the content, so the AUD $1.00 price tag is justified, but I wouldn't pay any more.

It also doubled the time that it took me to finish the previous instalment, so the value for money is better. Like I said in my first review, this is a very simplified platformer, so don't go expecting the level of quality and depth provided by games such as Celeste, Super Meat Boy, N++, etc.

An honestly simple precision platformer. Such a great game to speedrun, which I've been doing (check out the speedrun page!). I really do enjoy this game, the enemies are placed well to increase the difficulty of the levels without just throwing a bunch more obstacles. It feels like the dev really wanted to stick to the 'simple' aesthetic the game has. Really charming! Would pay 1.99 for this game. 9.99 if it had an extensive library of levels!
