Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game. Without the technical issues, it would be easy to recommend, and a solid 8/10 or 9/10.
But the technical issues make it impossible to enjoy the last third of the game. The audio elements started to loop and, what's worse, to loop individually.
E.g. A character begins a phrase, the first word starts to loop, but the sound effects also start to loop, *over the looping word*, etc. Every new sound starts to loop over the existing cacophony! Exiting and restarting the game solves the issue only for a few seconds.
If you can tolerate this (you can disable sound in the options menu) then it's a very hood HOG.

Good game, you can tell it had a lot of love and effort go into it. And the ambience is absolutely amazing. I feel like the difficulty is very well balanced too, with a hint or skip option if you're really lost.

But it's not very replayable, so beware, 6 or so hours is about as much as you're gonna get out of it. It's got some weird audio bugs in it as well, and the game gets very laggy, which completely ruins immersion. Relaunching or even reinstalling doesn't seem to help.

Still, solid 7/10.

Bought this game during the Steam Summer Sale and I'm so glad I picked up this title.

Review has no spoilers!

First let me start by saying, I love hidden object games! I have played a lot of them, so the good, the bad and the ugly. This title I would place in the good category (don't get me wrong I even buy the ugly and bad ones, but I just wait until they are very cheap before I buy them)

Story: The story is well thought out and you really want to understand what has happened here and it keeps you on your toes.
Sound/atmosphere: This is were this title really shines, the atmosphereis so creepy and the sound effects actually really scared me one time (yes it has some jumpscares in it)
Graphics: Nice and crisp, just like you expect from a new hidden object game
Extra's: After you complete the main story there is a bonus story and this is actually a very good bonus story!
Play time: Around 5 to 6 hours casual mode, a bit longer on hard mode.

I love the Big Fish hidden object/puzzle games. I give a big thumbs up for the story line/puzzles/ and the like but I have never had such a horrible time with glitches and latency. I had to turn the sound off due to music/effects loops. I did however play it and beat it even though my husband said i was crazy to play when it was driving me crazy. I just don't like to give up. Please fix this game. I did ask for a refund.

I like a good old HoG when I don't feel like playing more involved games, and this is a good one. Like most of them it's quite cheesy, but the story is fine and it has a nice spooky ambience. Puzzles have a nice difficulty scaling, a good mix of simple ones with simple solutions and brain-scratchers.
If you're a fan of hidden object games, it's pretty much like every other HoG out there. A fun and quite short game. Worth noting that I didn't bother to go collectible-hunting on this occasion, but there's a few of them for those who like to look out for them.

I would recommend this game. It has a few flaws (for example: some of the collectibles are not in the game at all).
