If you have played the first one (which is a flashgame) you don't even need this recommendation now do ya'?

On a more serious note though Intrusion 2 is truly a blast: a skillbased run and gun shooter where your only limitation is your skill. What do I mean?

A ton of objects on the level can be moved, can be used as shot blockers, to smash enemies platforms on water, flung through the air, the works. your choice really. Any non soldier type enemy has some kind of weakness (either a weakpoint or lower effectiveness when losing limbs) which after learning can allow you to clear stages whitout losing any health not whitout sweating though .

All stages are quite different from eachother always introducing new enemies and weapons and the boss encouters are quite a blast. not to mention some stages allow you to drive some mechs around metal lug style!

So in short the game gets a glowing recommendation from me. If you want a quick run and gun action that starts in a second and takes up almost no space look no further!

A majority of us back then used to play flash games. Among them were Intrusion 1, Zombotron, and other amazing games which I unfortunately can't remember. It does sadden us all that flash got "killed" by Google alongside the many historic flash games that are apart of our internet history. This game like any other flash game brings us all nostalgia and more importantly the ability to play them again for one final time. Do I recommend this game? Yes I do to those with a passion for flash games.

An amazing game, very under-rated. Only downside is that it is not very long (excusable since it is relatively inexpensive).

Where do I even begin? This is such a good game, i've been playing since I was just a kid on FRIV. This was one of the best games on their site. I forgot about it for a while, after I moved on to normal downloaded videogames. I was watching a vid on old flash games, I and suddenly remembered the good old days on FRIV, which lead me to think about the old flash games on there. I then remembered Intrusion 2 and 1, and so I decided to look it up on steam. Here it was, right in front of me, all the childhood nostalgia, right here, simply ready for me to buy and play. I was pretty happy. I booted up the game, it I knew it would still be quick on my somewhat cruddy laptop because even with all the sprites and whatnot, it was still basic enough to get myself good framerate. All the knowledge and info came back to me, and I had fun blasting the enemies and just running and gunning. It's one thing I absolutely love about Intrusion, it only takes about 30 Seconds to figure out contraptions and the rest of it is blasting away. It also really shows the creativity of the maker, especially with the weapons design, boss battles, and setting. Now, HOW DO I EVEN BEGIN ON THE AWESOMENESS OF THE CHARACTER AND NPC MODELS. My personal favorite aesthetically has to be one of the first boss fights, the one thats a dropship that has arms. It nailed the futuristic/Sci-Fi look. The boss fight itself was amazing, as you had to multitask, and just blast anything that moved that wasn't you. The patterns and reaction time were easy to dodge, but if you were to get punched and then grabbed, you would pay a dear price. Now the second best thing I love about this game, is when you touch lava, your feet are on fire in the most badass way possible. The Human characters/armor looks amazing, everything looks amazing. The only downside I see is the lack of a save system, when you close the game, you have to start from the very beginning. The other downside is the lack of an Intrusion 3 and the fact the game ends. This really shows what Kong used to be, unlike the absolute shit show they are today (looking at you Surviv.io). Went on a bit of a ramble here but my words cannot describe the awesomeness of this game. (Edit:Turns out the save system works, just was too used to it not working.)

This game is an absolute blast. Granted I am heavily biased, but that hasn't stopped Apple.

Their is no explanation needed, imagine Metal Slug with a physics engine. You can't go wrong. Especially when the first boss is an iron- pumping machine, and when murdered celebrates his victory.

Number one.
Made in flash, no lag at all.

Number two.
Managed to inspire a tModLoader mod.

Number three.
Best final boss you'll ever see.

To put it simply, this is the most over the top games that I have ever played, it is brilliant. From the outset the game proves that all the way to the final boss which tops it all perfectly (seriously I could write an entire essay about it, it is that crazy/good).

Great game, but due to the carelessness of the edges and resolution, I prefer to replace the game settings with anti-aliasing from the Nvidia panel.

Intrusion 2 is one of the best side-scrolling shooter games inspired by the likes of Contra and Metal Slug with great boss battles a good variety of guns and a great soundtrack even if it is a bit short it still is a must for anyone who considers themselves a fan of the classics

An amazing single player game with a wide variety of robotic enemies and definitely unique graphics. The implementation of the destructible environment is really interesting as it is a core part of the gameplay. The campaing is decently long, well paced and really gives you a great couple of hours to mess around with.

Pretty cool game. The physics take some getting used to but the overall gameplay is enjoyable. The game is deceptively harder than it looks (at least to me) but it is fun to play, very!

L O V E I T ! it's got a bad-as* soundtrack that can kinda feel repetitive, and you can tell the engine for it's a few years old from how some of the player models can mildly glitch at times. I still love this game though, and always will. Highly recommend, definitely worth the price. If you don't feel like spending the money without trying it, there's free 'demo' versions online.

This game is a side-scroller shooter, a simple but fun game. The levels are about 10 in total, and the length of the level is short, you'll most likely finish a level in about 30 minutes. Controls are decent enough to enjoy the game, the only thing bugging me is when you're riding a wolf (yes you can ride a wolf, really cool, right), don't get me wrong, riding a wolf is cool as hell, but the movements could need a little bit of an improvement. Enemies and bosses are amazing.

All in all, it's a decent game that can be played very cheaply and very briefly, with a gametime of 6 to 10 hours or so.

Eternal Echo

Every now and again, I come back to this game because nothing else has grabbed me in terms of gorgeous set pieces, incredible bosses, and fun gameplay. The first phase of the final boss is one of my most favoured in any game, while the others are really damn good as well.

My only criticisms are as follows:
1) The second phase of the final boss sucks, both for how easily you die and start all over and for how generic it is for being some big lad that you fight from the top of a building that the boss, by all rights, should be able to just swat you off of.
2) The later levels get a bit monotonous and the guns lack variety.

This game. What Should i say???????? This Game is just simply astonishing amazing i can't describe more. This was my childhood this was my everything. The Story is so so simple it all starts from intrusion 1 a russian super soldier sent landing on another planet to destroy the X Corporation i really do not know a lot but i love the technology of the enemies and the main guy it's just like doom but better for me. Both Intrusion 1 and 2 are amazing everything is amazing about these games and i also completed recently Intrusion 2 Hard no death and Intrusion 1 as well. I hope there will be more to this game franchise because i love it and most of the people too. I hope Intrusion 3 comes out because yeah Intrusion 2 ending was not explaining a lot after you defeat M.A.C.E and yeah i hope in intrusion 3 we destroy the enemy or do something more but do not change to much.Anyways Thank You for creating this game and wish you all Wonderful Christmas.

Probably one of the most fun 2D shooters out there, like seriously, theres absolutely no reason to NOT play it, pretty cheap too, its just all around a great game, the aesthetics are otherwordly, the futuristic technology mega military corporation mystery vibe is just plain awesome, the visuals on this are done masterfully, aleksey abramenko was such a genius when designing this game, you really should grab it when the ocassion pops up

I played the demo of this in 2012 and loved it to bits as a child. I bought it soon after and finished it in one go, it was simply too fun. I forgot about it for years but today i bought it again and was brought right back to my childhood. This is without a doubt one of the best 2d shooters ever made. Also the final boss is too good. Hard af unfortunately. I have no clue how an 8 year old me beat this game

This game is insanely fun at first, but the boss fights just drag for too long. Definitely would continue playing if the boss fights weren't so ridiculous.

I already finished the first intrusion and i must tell you: it isn't just the physhics system that makes intrusion stand out from the other sidescroller shooters, its the absolute randomness that happens in the game, I hope they release a intrusion 3

KitKat

Intrusion 2 is a side scrolling shooter similar to Contra or Metal Slug. Sure, the visuals are a little dated, and the physics are a little buggy, but it's a great game. You can beat it in perhaps 4 hours, maybe 6 hours and a few strands of hair ripped out if you're stuck on a particularly tough boss (there's a lot of those.)

This game is old school in a good way. You collect new weapons as you progress, solve some very basic puzzles, and fight lots and lots of cool enemies. The enemies you face will range from basic infantry to an array of mechanized enemies such as mech suits, flying robot squid, and some double bastard tough boss fights. Dying a few times in a row against a boss (or even some of the stronger standard enemies who are tough enough to qualify as mini-bosses in their own right) can be frustrating, but the badass soundtrack gets you in the mood, and you'll find yourself learning, adapting and overcoming the challenges laid out before you. Overall, I'd highly recommend this game if you want a cheap throwback to the old days of arcade and flash shooters, this game does them justice.

I am ever so glad I got to play this game again, after all this time. I would remember hopping on my old laptop to play the first few levels over and over again, since I didn't have the means to purchase the game, unlike now.

I believe this game is great, it really was a blast to play, but I can't say there have not been any issues, for example, the wolf riding part was extremely clunky, and overall this game felt a little too short in contrast to the predecessor, I however don't mind, as this game was made by just ONE person.

I really enjoyed the addition to music, heck, I still listen to a few tracks when bored. I hope that the developer is doing great, and I wonder if they're maybe working on something new.

Virok the Red
Virok the Red

This is probably the best flash game out there; every replay is enjoyable and the unpredictable nature of the physics will never leave you bored during the same encounter. The level design is well-thought out, and the roster of enemies really fits the theme of the surroundings. The soundtracks are a bit short, but great.

All in all, the few bugs, unrefined mechanics, chaotic debris and awkward movement can be easily overlooked by the obvious effort put into this product.
For those of you who haven't played the first game, I sincerely recommend you do. It may be aged, but the charm and inspiration is what led to this amazing sequel.

This game is my childhood, I remember playing Intrusion 1 in a flash website back then and I just love the rag-doll physics of the game and the bosses and enemies that I had to face; when I had a chance to play Intrusion 2 it was cool but back then it was on demo so I didn't know how to get the full version of it until I found out that it was on Steam and I was happy that I can finally replay my childhood; big respect to the dude who made this game, I also heard that it's only one guy that was making this game; so I really respect your dedication and time that you built into this game and I hope that there can be a sequel to this childhood masterpiece that you've made; the soundtrack is also a banger.

Chelen

Sequal of the iconic action game of flash player era gives you what you need for action, a gun and a character. And not to mention the 10 minute long final boss.

The controls can get horrible from time to time and the musics may get too repetitive and boring. It's an average game, no need to expect too much.

I had to shorten a 11K characters review, I had a lot to talk about, so I limit myself to talk about bosses. I'm so sorry if I fail to convince you to buy this game, or give it a thought.
1. The grabber. This is a hovercraft with literally ARMS. It's the first boss of the game and a really nice introduction of what sort of crazy bosses this game has. So, in the beginning of the level you casually walk on a bridge until this abomination shows up, using it's hands to break the bridge making you fall on a cliff. Upon landing the ship will use it's gun in an attempt to kill you, it's quite easy to dodge until you learn it's patterns, one being constant fire where you have to walk towards the left or right and the other being more like a burst fire, easy to dodge. afterwards it will slam it's fist into the cliff, breaking it. You land on another platform having to do the same thing again. In phase three, you land once again on another platform this time made out of metal, here it does the same thing as in the phase two, and you have to destroy the other thruster. Upon doing this the ship itself will fall on the platform. But it is not done yet, during this it will drag itself towards you and while it does that not only you have to run away from it but you have to shoot the cockpits too. After a little bit there will be a dead end, which the ship will try to slam it's fist on you making pie out of you or try to grab you, crushing you. Both attacks are easy to avoid. Shoot the cockpits until the pilots eject themselves from it.
2. Maku and Dan. it's an android girl with a massive gun in her hands, what could go wrong? First phase being her jumping around and shooting a pattern of plasma? projectiles towards you, it shoots out three patterns but all you need to know it that they're always spread. After she gets bored she will use her gun to charge towards you, yes the gun has a damn jet engine equipped in the back of it making android charge at you towards the wall, afterwards it goes into the ceiling. Some rocks will fall from the ceiling which you will have to dodge obviously, before the girl herself will come down in the middle of the room. Now here comes her second phase, which is a spinning bullet hell attack, what she does is to spin the gun quite impressively at a fast rate and all you have to do during this phase is to hide behind the rocks. After this she can either go back to phase one or to the third phase, which is point the gun's barrel into the ground and shoot a laser beam in it, making flames to erupt from the ground and soon enough a literal damn lava pool appears. You have to stay on the rocks to not get burnt to a crisp while the android girl will use a grappling hook and it will attach herself towards the ceiling, during this time she will shoot GRENADES to the left and right, they're easy to dodge if you stay in the middle of the room but beware of the grenades since they're pretty bouncy. Now once the lava pool goes down she can either do all of the phases from earlier or use the fourth phase, which is encasing herself into a protective shield, point her gun upwards, and shoot a larger grenade projectile. During the shield phase you can't exactly damage her with your weapons, but what you can do is to shoot at the grenades with your guns, and try your best to change course of the grenades to hit the android girl since the grenade go through the shield. Now she will continue using all of these four phases until she will literally shoot a disco ball in the ceiling, pointing her gun at it before firing a rainbow laser beam, which upon hitting the disco ball it will go in all directions (not random directions), pretty sure she encases herself into the shield again so you'll have to hit the disco ball until it goes poof, reflecting the laser beam down at the android. Afterwards? just a little bit of more damage and she's done for.
3. M.A.C.E. This boss... man this boss for me is the GOAT of this game, literally in short why it's the best boss is the fact that it interacts with the environment! not to mention the banger of a ost! called "Titan" which can get sickening if listened too much honestly... but still a banger! so in the last level you go in a tunnel like pathway (Not the best at describing things) and when walking in peace this beast with it's arms crosses will fly up in your screen, making you think life choices until that point. The design is really cool! but as I said I can't really describe too well and if I were to do that you would be reading this review for hours, so all I can say is just a titan piece of junk! anyway... so the first thing he does is to grab the tunnel pathway and grasp in in his hands, he then looks through the window like he's searching for you before literal laser beams comes from it's eyes an an attempt to fry you like an egg, now don't ask me how the tunnel doesn't melt because I don't have an answer to that. Then when he stops having his fun with laser eyes, he will literally bite the tunnel before slamming his fingers inside the opened tunnel, shooting fireballs from the tips to burn you. When you destroy it's fingers he lets go of the tunnel once again letting you move to the right before biting the damn tunnel again, afterwards the same thing with the fingers happens! but this time he fires small rockets too, which of course you can deflect them so you won't die, and of course again with the fireballs.
Afterwards you get inside a building, upon the door closing down the god damn piece of junk will put it's thumbs inside the windows, as in grabbing the building, before RIPPING IT off the ground. He will spin the building around, shake it aggressively like it's a protein shake for him and that's pretty much it, but it's so damn cool to see how the boss literally interacts with the environment and such! I always loved these type of bosses. But anyway. you have to damage it's thumbs and upon destroying them he will YEET the building into the ground making everything shake violently. Afterwards he will punch the living soul out of the building to make an opening and he will do the same thing with the fingers, putting them inside the opening to hit you with either homing rockets or fireballs. After you damage his other set of fingers, yes he isn't using the same pair as he did in the tunnel, he will grab the building from underneath and will proceed to fly (Yes I forgot to mention how all of this is happening while he's flying thanks to his massive thrusters that is on his back and legs) towards a platform that has some sort of beacon? let's just call it a cylindrical thing and proceeds to smash the bottom of the building WIDE open before you fall on the platform.
After he shakes the building like it's a toy box or a candy bag and trying to pull the last piece out he will toss the building in the background like a broken toy before focusing on you. Now here comes his attacks, he will use his fist to make pie out of you, he will clench his fists as lasers will come from them, making you run to the left/right, jumping on the fists to avoid the lasers and so on. He will close his fists in the air as electrical beams will from between them, before slamming both of them towards you, occasionally he will shoot some fireballs from it's mouth, which has two sort of fireballs. Set one being two huge fireballs that upon impact it will form into a wave of fireballs, needing you to jump over them, and the other set is like a Touhou attack pattern where you need to walk back and forth to avoid the bullet hell. Randomly he would pick a container up, shake it to break the doors open as your good old lad Gun mech will come out and try to kill you, funny how the M.A.C.E watches you while you fight the mech, but he doesn't do it forever since he will start to attack you.
Then he will fly in the background, land on a building, shoot a laser beam from his forehead and some rockets (Can have homing or not).

Wow can't believe I didn't write a review for this before. If you ever on the fence about it, just buy it. it's physics platformer action at it's best. It shows what things like CONTRA could've been. There really should be more physics heavy games like this, Capsized, and others. Physics heavy games that are leaned into pure madness and fun are just worth it, and this one did some of the best in a nice paced adventure.

Some day you'll be sent flying really far from a death, fall into a soldier and kill them by pure chance, and laugh your ass off. Worth the asking price, and worth any sale it goes on for any age. Mechs, riding wolves, grappling hooks, and just pure good use of the scenery.

Hey KONAMI, LEARN SOMETHING from THIS!
