Invader TD is a side-scrolling tower defense, much like Kingdom, but without the player controlling a protagonist that can freely move around the playing field. You're responsible for managing your resources in order to build and upgrade towers, as well as cast a small handful of special abilities at crucial moments during gameplay.
The game took me by surprise in the best of ways: upon first glance, I assumed I had the core gameplay loop pretty well figured out after a couple attempts. After refining my strategy, I truly thought I had the game pegged... and then a mechanic changes in a way I didn't expect (and don't want to ruin here for potential players).
It's just good ol' fun: well-balanced, well-presented, and will keep you engrossed, even if the overall runtime is fairly short. The graphics are pleasant, with some nice parallax scrolling, the UI is clean and simple, and the music is surprisingly catchy and well-composed. I do wish the game supported resolutions higher than 1080p, but with the graphical assets such as they are, it's not really a necessity.
I won't belabor the point: if you're into tower defense, you should pick this up. It's a quick play, but it's cheap and will keep you invested throughout its brief runtime. For the low price, you really can't go wrong.

Nice Tower Defense. Challenge and fun.
Great strategy game! A lot of possibilities! Recommended!
Nice pixel art, was a fun game.
I liked it a lot, it's not that simple, it's very challenging and the soundtrack brings a good tension.
There's one level. I beat it on normal in an hour. If there was more to it I wouldn't have refunded it.
Cant complain for the price but whys the alien gotta have tig ol bitties?
Extremely simplistic game with less than 2 hours of playtime available. Very few towers with only 3 very finite upgrade paths for each (Damage, Range, Speed). The game hinges its entire difficulty on the splits paths concept. Unfortunately, it doesn't do that well creating no tension or difficulty from the attention splitting.
Save your money.
The difficulty level is nice, the easy one is ok, and the hard one is challenging. The visuals are great and it looks well done, apparently it took a while to be released.
A great TD game, it has several elements to make decisions and create your own strategy, it takes several hours of play to conquer everything.
