Works great on steam deck! I remember buying on switch and really liking it there, am happy to report it is equally fun on deck. It is a diablo like with upgradeable equipment, and there is an extra mode which appears to be a pure roguelike but I haven't investigated that much yet.
Like many others have already said, there's way more content than I expected. It's simple but really good. Wide range of gear with different stats so you can build your character how you want, and plenty of different dungeons. Gets grindy if you're going for total completion, but it's nice to have a game that lasts given its price.
This game is super fun, definitely worth the money. I highly suggest playing this game I'm addicted. :)
2 hours in and I have to say it's one of the more addictive arcade-style games with excellent game play. My one complaint is that I want more RPG content and depth, but that isn't really what the game is aiming for; Quite possibly an apex of it's style.
This game is actually pretty fun, for kind of a classic Rouge like dungeon crawler game.
The game isn't explained super in depth, but if you've played RPGs before you can play around with things like intelligence, agility, defense, etc. and take a good guess at what they do for your character. Other things, like "Huge" stats really don't mean much to me at the moment, but I don't care.
Originally I got this because of the advertised local co-op, but had a hard time finding how to get that to work or set it up. It's not in the game manual or anything I could find through Google. I eventually reached out to the support team for the developers, and they wrote back to me about going into the bar after the tutorial, setting up another character and adding them in that way. They got me sorted out within 30 minutes.
The gameplay itself is great though, and outside of not much documentation or help I don't have any complaints. It also seems like the support team is pretty available for technical issues if you have them.
A basic pixel dungeon game with a little bit of RPG mixed into it. Simple fighting and navigating system, seems to be a port from a mobile game. A good mix of varied monster. Nice little game under 5.00 if you like minimal game play.
My girlfriend and I are playing through this coop. So far it's a pretty fun romp in an old-school style.
The loot is neat, levels are straightforward and boss fights feel way more complicated than expected... in a good way!
For the price? Totally recommend it.
Not sure how it feels solo, but it's a blast in coop.
There is a lot more game here than I expected. Pretty good Gauntlet style game.
This game is really good, It is a simple but great dungeon crawler game where you fight enemies, get better weapons, unlock new areas and upgrade your character. You have a lot of weapon variety and awesome skills to unlock and I really love that part of the game.
Something I would like to see improved would be enemy AI, some enemies, for example the ghosts in the swamp see through the walls and objects which is quite annoying, and they seem to wander out of the bounds/walls where you cannot hit them, which is quite disengaging during the gameplay.
The music and graphics are very very very good, I love the pixel art and the music is very immersive and really gives the adventure feel. The music is a bit short which makes it repeat too often but that isn't too big of a problem.
As for final thoughts, this game is amazing and definitely worth the money spent. There is room for improvements on the combat side. I Would recommend this game to most adventure seeking players.
