Wow, this was just terrible. It seemed like it wanted to be deep or profound in some way but it certainly didn't live up to that. Not worth your time or money.

Not really my thing, but if you like visual novels you'll probably enjoy this. I was expecting more from the narrative, hoping it'd do something new with the concept, but in the end it's all decently predictable. That's not bad per se, much of the game's runtime is spent on building the relationship between you and Lucy, which is fine, just not my cup of tea. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone outside dedicated VN players.

Absolutely one of the best visual novels i knew and played. The reason why i love this visual novel is because the story telling to us about the character who is falling in love with robot (Lucy) and of course because she is not a human like main character but a robot there will be a drama which i again enjoyed a lot.

I played through chapter 4 of the game. After finishing it I felt compelled to right this review.

First off this game and its story is amazing, for the longest time this game has been in my wishlist due to me just chalking it up as a popular indie game. The game went on sale and I had nothing else to play so I decided to try it

I have not even finished the game and I can already see how much effort has gone into it. For me this game is a 10/10

Beautiful game that tends to play with the readers emotion and gives a very insightful perspective in the topic of robots having emotions. Lucy is a great and well developed character, that has allot of supporting characters that help her development, since she is the main focus of the story. The true ending was also very satisfying and emotional, with the extras filling in most of the blanks that the main story didn't cover, that appear after you finish the main story. One thing to note is to play the extras when they appears since they might change if you continue through the story.

It's cute!

There are times when you don't wan't something super interactive and just want a story. It's the sort of thing I'll put on what i'm just trying to wind down for the night when i'm tilted or frustrated at a game.

I'm not sure what else to say. It's pretty visually, has a pretty soundtrack, and from what I've seen, it's cute! All I can think of for comparison now is Detroit Become Human, but the aesthetic of Child of Light? Maybe a little Maplestory aesthetic mixed in there.

I have never written a review in my entire life. This game however caught my attention to do so.
I have never played a visual novel in my entire life. This is my first one and I've gotta say I don't regret it.
While I only played 5 hours of this, I will never forget the experience I've gotten with this game. I will never forget the story and the characters. I've got emotional while playing it and while writing this review.
This is one of those games where I wish to delete my memories all over again to experience it again. It was great and I'm thankful for this game.
I'm maybe exaggerating here since this is my first Visual Novel I've played and every other Visual Novel could give you a similar experience. But still if you like the concept of the story and like romance itself then this is definetly for you!

I liked it. Had some interesting perspectives on things, I like the ideas of what could be in the future and their potentially unintended consequences. The ending I got, seemed a little cold but upon reflection I think that was the point. Keep things in perspective, as you age as well as remembering the changes that occur from your youth.

Based on its overwhelmingly positive reviews I must admit my expectations were a bit higher, but this was mediocre at best. I don't know if its because I'm older now and don't exactly fit into the target demographic of a high-school teen with bad social skills and mild depression, but this was not relatable at all. All the characters personalities felt flat and forced. The music was forgettable, and the plot felt like it pulled from the beginning of a bad hentia.
There are a lot of better Visual Novels for the same price and lower, this one just isn't worth it.

If you are a fan of visual novels then you'll most likely enjoy this very much. I heard about this game from a friend online and after a few months I caved in and decided to buy it. 100% worth the money and all the hours put into it. A story that can make you go from smiling to crying in an instant as well as characters and dialogue that flows so naturally and beautifully. I also have to mention how the story makes you feel a certain way and knows exactly what and why it is doing it. If you have the time to get all the achievements and go through all the bonus features I highly recommend it as the entire story start to finish is a work of absolute art. Hats off to everyone who worked on this game because you made a 10/10 masterpiece in my eyes.

I don't remember why I bought this game, what made it stand out to me, but I regret it. A generic ass story, terrifying character designs, a boring story, uncreative dialogue, slow pacing. This game has it all. I have no idea why the reviews are so positive, but I think there are many much better games that you should be spending your time with.
Overall not worth your time or money unless you enjoy generic as all hell anime.

Wow. Just wow. I can't believe it, I would of been sad if I wasn't so upset the entire time. I'm older so I wouldn't understand the ratings but I can say that I wish the MC desired his freedom and none of this would of happened. Potential character development but knowing this MC he won't develop. It felt like I was being abused but I could do nothing but watch everything get taken away from me. Repairman was a good character wish he had a name. The true ending is good but what it took to get here was so frustrating.

An outstanding and touching visual novel for anyone willing to drive into. Lucy -The Eternity She wished for is a visual novel game that involves heartwarming and dramatic story,

The game has 2 endings with a TRUE and ALTERNATE ending, once one is done, they change the whole loading screen and EXTRA CATALOG on the main menu. The game is 5-10 hrs long with 8 hrs on average on a normal speed like mine. pretty short ngl

TO KEEP THINGS SHORT, the game manages to surprise me even though I thought I was confident how it was gonna end. I recommend this game to anyone, even starting visual novel reader. Definitely a good read for me

Don't get me wrong it had its moments, but was really a chore to get through. I enjoyed some of the sub-themes compared to the boring and dragged out dialogue about robots and society. I get the idea of giving the time period politics to world build, but it was kinda over done.
I didn't enjoy the characters mainly because of pointless dialogues and the just plain frustration I felt from them. All that said it does have those moments I'd say are worth it, but the rest is just uuuuuugh.

Princess Tiffany
Princess Tiffany

It's a good story, very casual and slice of life. I wouldn't say it's worth $10 though - look for 5 or less.

My only real complaint is that it's short - just a few hrs - and the UI is slow. Many transition screens and loading screens take a while to display and won't allow you to click through. This is true for Skip mode as well, which is irritating.

Lavellen
Lavellen

It's NOT one of those clichê dating sim VN (and by clichê dating sim, I mean most of the romance based VN, including ones like Summer Pocket and Fruit of Grisaia)

For a dating sim, it only has one route, for a romance VR, the word love is never mentioned even once, action speaks louder than words and feeling is conveyed without even having to say it. It's one of my favorite tear gas VN.

TheDelirious1

Where to start? I suppose by saying: take your time. This story is easily one of the best I've ever seen in my life. I've never felt such emotion from a VN as I did this one, and that's saying more about this story than others. So yeah, take your time with this, let it all sink in and really let yourself enjoy what the story is about. Highly recommend this VN, easily a 10/10 in all aspects. Go buy this and play through it, I assure you that you will never regret it!

HooMEye
HooMEye

While the concept of the story isn't original, it was a decent exploration of the concept. Nice artwork, as well. It's unfortunate that the main human characters are so unappealing for 99% of the story, and while the story is about their personal growth, we then don't get to spend much time with them after they've achieved any growth. It's also a bit illogical what happens to Lucy. Kinda felt like they were forcing a sad situation on us just to pull on the heart strings, which didn't work because it really didn't make sense. Perhaps the author just took the definition of burning bridges too literally. 6.5/10

The game was certainly worth the price tag. I get distracted easily and I finished it in two days time. Granted it's a short visual novel. The choices don't really matter in the game besides one. The others are for additional dialogue and cgs. Likely to be a game that will make you cry

Bought for 4 euros, 1 hour of gameplay. Asked for refund.

Due to the positive reviews I thought this would be an indept story about interactions between AI and humans and an emotional story. The writing is so superficial though, that it irritates me immensely and gives an icky feeling about power abuse. Totally okay when that's used to make the player reflect on their own views, but the game doesn't seems to do any of that. The story seems to be written by people with very little understanding of respectful interaction and since that's all the story involves around and there's not much more to do gameplay wise, it's really annoying to go through this story.
Some reviewers say that to really appreciate this story you have to play trough to the end. The characters are so flat, though, that it feels like reading an internet post from a 13-year old boy thinking that he has found great wisdom because the thought has arisen in him that maybe girls are people too. The ending might be good, but I can't bring myself to read a couple of hours worth of crap.
It makes me sad to see that many people like this game and don't mind the shallowness of the tought processes and interactions of the characters in the game. I truly hope that this isn't a reflection of their views and interactions of daily life, because the humans in this story seem more like robots to me than to actual humans. Which is ironic.

Madam Moist
Madam Moist

This is a short, but precious little gem if you like visual novels. The story is really nothing unique or groundbreaking and I felt like the sad situation was forced in for the sake of sadness (while also felt pretty overkill), but even so, the writing was overall really solid. For how little time we spend with Lucy, I quickly started to care for her as a player and even the main character kinda grew on me even if he's not anything special. I loved both the art and music, they really give it a unique look and atmosphere. The side characters unfortunately are unremarkable, but that shouldn't be a big issue, considering the main focus here is Lucy and the main character.

It's quite similar to another visual novel, Atri, some of the same thought provoking issues appear here as well and I really appreciated it.

The true ending is another big highlight, it's rewarding and it easily brought me to tears.

If you can catch this game on a sale, it's a steal, but even without a sale, it's worth a buy in my opinion, I really enjoyed this short, wholesome and emotional ride.

This game is so boring, I can't even force myself to finish it and several days have passed. After finishing PixelFade's VN collection, this felt like an absolute downgrade. Maybe I wouldn't be so disappointed right now if I had played this game first. Who knows. Anyway, the choices are awful and there isn't much that we can choose too - personally, felt like our choices doesn't matter.

I've been out of the visual novel scene for quite some time, but I picked this one up due to the overwhelming positive reviews and the fact that it was on a 60% sale (so only costing $4).

There's a mixture of good and bad things about this particular visual novel. The two bad things I can say about this visual novel mostly tie in together; the relative short length of the story does the game a bit of a disservice, primarily because the characters can definitely seem like they're very rushed in getting these specific moments out there to change the main character's perspectives. For reference, I have gotten every ending with my 4.3 hours and am only missing one or two achievements from not selecting specific choices throughout the game, and for a story that has as many plot points as it does within it, that's really not very much time to run through them all. If you do decide to buy and play this game, be aware that the characters do feel rather flat and unrealistic at times, and it's a fairly short experience.

However, there are several good things that overshadow it. While the characters are rough around the edges, they are specifically designed to have their particular perspectives be realistic for the setting that the game is taking place in. There were no strong immersion-breaking events that didn't make sense within the setting as well, which is a significant plus. The focus is very direct and gives you no unnecessary information. While this may seem paradoxical to what I complained about in the previous paragraph, I do still think that exploring Lucy's and You's relationship more would have aided the story and made the payoff even bigger.

But finally, the single biggest point I will say as the biggest upside to this game is the ending. Without spoiling anything, seeing the two endings is easily enough to make the entire experience worth it, even if the above points seem not worth trying or off-putting at first glance.

This game is best played in a single sitting, so you are able to see the entire relationship between Lucy and You grow and reach its peak all in the same sitting.

Just keep tissues handy.

... I feel bad for never giving this one a positive review till now.
I have played a few random free VNs, and some demos of some others, but this is the first VN I actually bought and finished completely. It isn't as long as some of the bigger VNs, but I quite liked it for that. A beautiful gem of a game.

I still haven't played enough VNs to make conclusive statements on that matter as to if it is one of the absolute best, but would I recommend this for its price? Hell yes. The time I had with Lucy was enjoyable enough to replay it, the story was well written, the themes of loneliness and a machine being so human-like, it is essentially human, All of it is pretty well done. The different characters shown all have differing opinions on things, and we do get to see growth and change, not just for the protagonist and Lucy herself, but even a certain someone else.

The different endings all feel entirely plausible with the setting of the story, and overall, one I would recommend to just about anyone. Even those inexperienced with VNs can probably really enjoy this 5-6 hour story.

Truly an amazing VN. I would be lying if I said I didn't shed a slight tear. The story is captivating from the start, and the characters are built to make you feel love, hate, sadness, frustration, my god did I feel frustration throughout the story and rage towards a specific plot point that would really spoil the story if said. But with the ending, the ceiling was leaking for me and...I'm satisfied. I don't think I could've asked for a better ending. I loved this VN and it's a personal top favorite of the VN genre for me now. Amazing work from the developers.

Side Notes:
I had slight confusion on the ending as I didn't fully grasp it and had to look up an old reddit post to confirm my thoughts. Needless to say, it's heavy in spoilers. The game didn't do a poor job at explanations, it was my lack of awareness to detail and plot points, and maybe slight density to not put the pieces together. In short, pay attention to detail and when you unlock the bonus content, it should clear many things up as well.
Only other downside to the game is there is not an auto play, so click click clickty click.

KowalskiYukio
KowalskiYukio

You get 6 hours of playtime for one of two endings (getting the other ending shouldn't take that much more time because you basically just need to change one choice) and getting the all achievements is quite fun. The story is quite well written. It's a story about boy hates androids but then gets closer to (and falls in love with?) an android. Definitely not the only story to have this kind of story line but this game does it in quite a charming way.
