The game works, but there is no way to change the resolution and there are some graphical glitches.

An extremely good game held back horribly by a terrible port, with no fix in sight. The only way I could get it running was by turning off some steam features and reinstalling it anytime I had an issue, or simply wanted to take a break. The mechs are basically action puzzles, doing them fast is a ton of fun. The game is a solid 8 or 9 but this port is one of the worst I've seen. I'm sorry Mr. Developer that your depression and such killed this games steam version, but maybe consider coming back to it someday.

A blend of contra and shadow of the colossus. Normally I don't like hard (git good) games, but I was able to beat all the bosses witha decent amount of the deaths. However, the last boss drove me insane and I almost gave up! It's a great game if this is up your alley!

Played on my Pc handheld (aokzoe a1 pro). The main title page has a big graphical glitch and some stages you'll have some very minor graphical glitches in the background. Nothing hindered not affected my gameplay. Glad I took a chance on this indie title!!

By far the most underrated, undiscovered gem in my Steam library. It is very satisfying taking down these giant machines piece-by-piece. The visual/audio feedback to damage is well done. Replay value is high because the game is short and most of the bosses move unpredictably. It's unfortunate that many people have had technical issues running it. FYI, I didn't have issues running it on a Ryzen 5/3060 Ti when I originally played it so hopefully more people can discover this game as hardware gets better with time.

An over-reliance on grinding the same frustrating boss fights over and over again.

June 4th, 2020: this is an update of my initial review from May, 26th, 2020.

After having played the game in 3 distinct sessions for a total of 14 hours-ish, I unfortunately feel like I can't recommend this game ON STEAM.

The game itself (for 95% of it) is GREAT.
Unfortunately, the game is really broken on Steam and the developer doesn't seem to be able to fix it to run a stable version that everybody can run and play....
Either the game doesn't start altogether or it starts painfully but then crashes hours into it and is a hassle to restart.
I actually managed to beat the game today but it crashed right after defeating the final boss and I couldn't even see what was coming after. And then impossible to start the game again after about 10 attempts which completely freeze my pc (and no, it's not coming from my PC)...very frustrating !

So yeah, I don't know how the game runs on Switch, PS4 and XboxOne but it doesn't work on Steam, even 2 weeks after release.

Hopefully, the game will be fixed in the future because it is a real shame that everybody can not enjoy this great game to their heart's content. This would make for an amazing speedrun, not in its current state though.

On the game itself: It's great, super tight gameplay, sweet graphics, awesome locations, the mechs are fun to fight, the soundtrack is solid but above all the game is really FUN.
Fun until the last boss which, to me, makes no sense whatsoever in relation to everything that's been going on in the game prior (in terms of gameplay).
Fighting vs the last boss, you realize how much the controller scheme doesn't work for this type of game. If I had one recommendation to the dev (other than FIXING his game !), it would be to revamp the gameplay scheme and make it into a twin-stick gameplay instead of the super cumbersome scheme that is used atm (which works great for 95% of the game and absolutely NOT for the last boss).

Game just didn't launch.
Messaging me that i need DirectX 12.1 (i have DirectX 12) and my videocard doesn't support 12.1.
But on a steam game page there are no words about DirectX12.1 requirements, only DirectX 12.
If there are no fixes in a few days i'll ask for a return.

Problem 1:
Texture issues in the last 3 fight made this game unbearable to play, especially when you need to know where to hit base on the texture.

Problem 2:
Frame rate slow downs are also apparently in a couple of fights.

Kid's happy about big bosses.

Short campaign but great replayability especially in local coop with my son. (No technical issues.)

Mechstermination Force is a pretty okay and fun Action game, so it’s time for the story. The world was at peace, but that piece was broken with the arrival of giant robotic terrifying menaces called the MegaMechs. But when all hope was lost the arrival of the Mechstermination soldiers, signified the humanity was still willing to fight.

Alright the likes, well to start I really like the cartoonish colorful art/ graphics style of the game it's very pretty to look at.

The robot boss designs are very cool looking, probably my favorite has to be the TriMechalon 2000 boss, it's just pretty cool especially at its last phase. The levels in the game were pretty nice to look at and were actually pretty interesting and how some the bosses used the area in the fight, like the Mechstructor ZC fight.

The music is very good with some good tracks to listen too; my favorite has to be the theme for GunMech Five. The action/gameplay was fun sometimes frustrating but fun. The upgrades were pretty cool and the story was simple but good, the best part was when you were at the main Hub area and you could talk to the soldiers on base they had some interesting and sweet and sometimes funny dialogue.

Alright the dislikes, well there is a bug in this game that causes the game to randomly crash/boot you off, it doesn't happen all that much it just happens randomly.

Like you could be playing the game for a good hour but then the game just crashes for some reason. Also I would have liked it if you could map the controller buttons like you could map the keyboard buttons, for some reason you can map the keyboard but not a controller.

Also some bosses can be a real pain, like the last boss was a pain in the ass to fight because you're fighting in space and you can move in three dimension, but due to the fact that it's such a big area and your character can be very small it's sometimes can be hard to see where you are going.

All right then with all that said, Mechstermination Force is a pretty okay and fun Action game, with very cool looking boss designs, very good music and a simple but good story. So if you're looking for a fun but simple action game about just fighting bosses this game is for you.
