Wonderful and stunning visuals! You can sense so much work from the developers, respect! The story is so sad though, it reminded me of the Ghibli studio creations. I absolutely love this game, definitely one of my favorites on Steam
glamour effects but my iris xe is dying, still a fking good game tho
A great game but man the amount of times I yelled at the furry little fuck for dashing in the wrong direction. Joystick aiming is damn wonky on some parts. Had almost a 20 year break with platformers and I feel like I could have chosen a little bit easier game to get back into.
Amazing game, charming art, beautiful story
my finger is about to break, and i'm still drinking water at the silver tree
played this just to get the profile backgrounds after reaching 100% on my defintive addition save file
no real reason to play with the definitive addition existing, but the game is still good
ok but not as good as its sequel
:zote:
Slow at the start, but gets perfectly smooth about an hour and a half in. Great game all around! 9/10
This game is beautiful, and that alone would be enough for me to recommend it. It's also fun to play, the controls are intuitive, and it really draws you in to the world and the story.
relaxing game with some challenge
THE MOST FRUSTRATING GAME LEVEL AND ACHIEVEMENT DESIGN I EXPERIENCE THIS YEAR
THIS REVIEW ONLY MEANT FOR BASE GAME NOT DE
1.Ginso tree, Forlorn Ruin ,Mount horu - 3 places - some hidden areas.
You say - ok i will come back later ....Good luck....Those maps are locked forever.
If you miss one single health point...that means you miss total 4 to 5 achievements
Answer from developer - "Play Definitive Edition. There is a backtrack support. You will be able to destroy the boulder with a new ability or you can teleport between spirit wells."
that means if someone has base game then he has to repurchase the game again just for two ducking orb he missed for some ducking obstacles.
That goes against all logic and it's dumb game design.
It's a MetroidVania game, at least it calls itself that, if I miss an item on my first run through an area I should be able to go back and get it.
The game requires 100% for an achievement and these games always have something as reward for it. I should not have to restart the game or buy a new copy just because I missed an item.
2.Also no difficulty settings...the default difficulty too hard and not for casual players...they may feel this frustratingly hard
3.Manual save and auto save combined means your manual save slot get automatically updated...another dumb logic
4.No restarts checkpoint or restart from last save option.
5.No in game Custom save slot system. you have to exit game, go to menu , copy current save paste to another slot.
Duck This Game
frustrating game:steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm:
The games beautiful to look at , it has just the right amount of challenges and thrills, the build is pretty stable , found no bugs. The ginso tree escape was a bit frustrating, It would have been better if the developers added a savepoint
amazing Puzzle Platformer
but story and art
WOW
A beautiful and magical environment with pretty good controls and gameplay
Beautiful art direction, and platforming is tight
got a mid life crisis, brain committed suicide, keyboard was murdered and rage issues got stronger. Very cool game
Lovely and beautiful game with fluid gameplay. Takes like 7-10 hours to finish and collect everything, but there's couple of places that are inaccessible after you have finished them (eg. forlorn ruins). In definite edition you can backtrack and go back to inaccessible places, so I suggest playing that one instead if you are planning on 100%, just in case.
story? cute and interesting. mechanics? oh lord it took me a bit to get used to them but once you do its fun af (I'm also bad at games so...)
This is the first the I felt that excited to completing game. I especially like the escape part, which is super hard for me but it worth the time.
Really, really good. Good music, great visuals, fun gameplay, cute protagonist
its as good as people say it to be
It's a great game, but PLEASE play the definitive edition if you don't care about the badges. Some areas in this version become inaccessible after you leave them, there's no fast travel, so you have to walk across the entire map, if you missed something and you can't load into your save file after beating the game.
Beautiful level design.. addicting, fluid gameplay.. challenging yet fair. This is one of my favorite platformers. The upgrade system is also very rewarding. You will fall in love with this game.
A true masterpiece. Charming animation, very engaging control system. The best of all is definitely the though-provoking story.
It's a super immersive game, I love the animations/graphics, the voices and sounds are awesome and the music is always fitting for the situation you're in. It's very puzzle orientated but that doesn't take away from the adventure part of it at all.
A gorgeously crafted, immensely peaceful work that delivers emotional blows. I wouldn't say the style and gameplay is for everyone, but the game is undeniably great.
Really fun, imaginative, beautiful, and engaging. Little tip, tho: leave soul links every time you get past a difficult area or collect something. I lost a lot of progress not knowing that.
