A wonderful and relaxing puzzle experience wrapped in an excellent aesthetic. It's not a long game, but it's a great experience. I picked it up randomly and played it in a night, and I had a lovely time.

As far as I can tell (on admittedly scanty evidence), this is a fake open-world game that's actually linear. I went to the mines, solved the puzzle, and the cutscene after leaving didn't trigger because...? I don't know, because I didn't solve the puzzle in the way they expected? Some hidden prereq? Not a fan of "read the developers' minds" as a puzzle, which is seemingly the requirement here.

Pan-Pan was a short and sweet game, with simple, but lovely, graphics. The game only took me just over 2 hours to complete, and I did so all in one sitting, which is good for this game in my opinion, as it seems the system for saving is fully manual without any autosaving.

Our character crashes in their flying balloon ship and now has to find the parts to repair it, which was so kindly indicated by three random hooded creatures with big mustaches. Majority of the game consists of memory and pressure based puzzles that are quite simple once you understand what you are supposed to do, but the game fails to guide you in any direction, so it will take you awhile to figure out. You can rotate the camera which is very important because clues could be on the walls, I myself didn't notice that I could rotate the camera until I was stuck.

I'm rating this game as recommended, as for the most part it is a beautifully crafted, delightful game. To mark it as not recommended would be like kicking a puppy. But be wary of getting to figure out everything by yourself, as there is no hints in the game, and if in doubt, definitely wait for a sale.

It's a marvelous puzzle game. It certainly doesn't spoon feed you. You have to be observant. You don't know what all connects at first, all you can do is wander and experiment with things.

Pan-Pan is beautiful. The style is similar to Journey with simple shapes and bright colors. I've really enjoyed playing it even though I am stuck on one eye puzzle that doesn't seem to want to be solved....

It's a solid fun game for only $12.99. I highly recommend getting it.

At the instant when I saw an image of this game, i knew i wanted to get my hand on it.
Pan-pan is beautiful while being spectacularly simple visually, the amount of detail is quite low and everything seems so perfectly placed. The same goes the the orinal sound track that has some catchy tunes for the some moments but it's mostly ambiant music, add to that a neat sound design for the noise. It's a game that looks, sounds, and feels like Monument Valley.

This is a good inspiration, that smartphone game was overall a good experience... but they copied THE bad parts of it too. While I'm delighted that the studio designed it without a single line of text to tell you where to go, it's not that hard once you figure out basic stuff. And you can be stuck because some trigger need to be activated and you have no clue about them, hopefully there are only a few in the game but it still is a frustation point.
Unlike Machinarium, an Amanita Design's game that narrates you a complete story without a single word, Pan-Pan is a simple pretext scenario with only two events : the space ship crashes on an unknown planet and ("spoiler alert") you go look for the parts in order to fly away...
Finally, the game is freaking short. Two hour at most, I'm not kidding. You can genuinely buy the game full price, finish it, sell its card, and get a refund on Steam if you're that kind of jerk.

I would still recommend it, but with extreme caution on the kind of player seeking advice. If all the things you read don't frighten you, you should give it a go. Otherwise, pass your way.

I'm a little undecided about this one. For the most part, I enjoyed it greatly; the graphics, atmosphere and other-worldliness of it all has massive appeal.
However;

- Some of the puzzle bits I found very obscure. Near the beginning of the game I spent over an hour wandering aimlessly about unable to make any progress. Simply because I missed/misinterpreted the significance of two tiny things. In case you are also stuck, it's the fireflies in the mine, and the hexagon on the floor there.
- Even when I'd solved some of the puzzles I didn't really understand why. I mainly brute-forced the gems in the mine, for example; I've still no idea at all why the solution is correct.
- It's not readily apparent how to drop items. (Hint; click on the item itself, not the ground.)
- The controls are generally excellent; with great path-finding. However, the number of times I accidently went up and down the tower defies belief.
- As others have said, it's short. Even with the aimless wandering and ladder-climbing it only took me 3.5 hours. At the current price-point that does seem lacking in content.

I'm leaving it as recommended, as for the most part it is a beautifully crafted, delightful game. To mark it as not recommended would be like kicking a puppy. But be wary of the above points, and if in doubt wait for a sale.

It's a short game but wonderfully designed and such a joy to play. The simple sounds, the ambient music, the exploration. I hope the developers continue to develop more games like this one! It's when I play games like these I'm happy there are indie developers out there.

Pan-Pan is a nicely-styled environmental puzzle adventure. It has a simple but endearing art style. Controls are basic, and puzzles are fairly inuitive. There is no inventory, other than some active and passive tools you acquire. Unfortunately, there is not much content, perhaps 2-6 hours of gameplay with not much incentive for replay. A pity, because I craved more puzzles and more of the world.
Pros: Charm, style
Cons: Too short for full price
Summary: Worth picking up, but wait for a discount.

Pan-Pan is a short but sweet puzzle game, with artistic visuals and music akin to those of Monument Valley. It'll only take you around 2 hours (at most) to complete it, but that’s perfect for this game. It shows you exactly what the game is about, sets you free to solve all the puzzles, and never overstays its welcome.

The moment you start a new game you are welcomed with delightful visuals, calming music, and a screen pure of any HUDs, text, or unnecessary cut scenes. Outside the menus, the game uses no words. Instead, it delivers its short story through the characters’ interactions and endearing sounds. Have I mentioned how charming the music is?

Visuals and sounds aside, the game delivers a fair number of puzzles, many of which involve moving objects around or pressing buttons. The puzzles are fairly easy, but not too easy. The game also displays some visual hints, enough to push you towards the right direction, but not too much that it annoyingly holds your hands. You’re free to walk around and solve the puzzles at your own pace and in any order. However, it’ll become obvious a bit later into the game that you need to solve some puzzles before others to open up new routs or obtain items.

The game feels good while it lasts. You won’t spend much time squeezing your brain for solutions. There isn’t any replay value. It’s nothing jaw-dropping. But that’s exactly what the game is about, sort of like drinking a nice cup of tea after a long day of work.

A very charming little puzzle game! Loved the soundtrack and the atmosphere of the game. All the characters made adorable noises. There were a lot of wandering around wondering what to do, but it was fun to explore the surrounding. Some puzzles were quite hard but I liked that. I found the controls a bit frustrating, like putting items down or waiting for the character to walk around a long way since it's not possible to jump.

It's a short game but I think it's worth it's price. I really enjoyed it!

Chii the Cat

Graphic is good, puzzles are solvable but not lame, characters are cute, and motions are excellent. The only thing that bothered me was short play time. I finished the game in 2 hours. Loved the colors used in the world, and liked music too. Just sad that it ended so fast. Maybe more story lines could have made it better.

Very charming and fun game! It felt pretty difficult in the beginning but after a little while everything in this cozy world started to make sense. Pan-Pan is a good puzzle game. It's definitely has a distinct art style. It's probably its strongest selling point.

Puzzles are okay in Pan-Pan. Not really challenging. They're quite simple to be honest.

The biggest let down though is the length of the game. It's very short. Especially for the asking price.

I would recommend to wait for a good sale for the game. I don't say it often for indie games but you'll be better off if you buy it at least at 50 discount.

Pan-Pan is an adorable game and it runs smoothly on my old laptop. It's super relaxing and the puzzles make you think. It's satisfying to solve and the characters and style are unique and beautiful.
It's overall a simple and fun game for those who like puzzle adventures and no dialogue.

I recommend this game to people who fancy relaxing puzzle games, and exploration.

Pan-Pan is a very beautiful puzzle game that uses point&click controls. While the music and sound effects are fantastic, the story is told through charming visuals instead of dialogue. There is no deep plot so you don't really need any exposition. Also, Pan-Pan has a very good animation quality compared to similar games in the genre. Once I got the ability to smack characters with a stick I had some genuine laughs. The puzzles are definitely challenging but I don't have any issues with the game in general.

Our character crashes in her flying balloon and now has to find the parts to repair it. Majority of the game consists of memory and pressure based puzzles. You can rotate the camera which is very important because clues could be on the walls. I beat the game blindly around 2 hours and got most of the achievements. For $6-12 game it is a little bit shorter than I expected. There are several pretty environments but not as much to explore as the description would suggest. Most of the puzzles were creative, sometimes utilizing very interesting solutions. As far as the logic goes I did not have many problems (maybe 2-3 strange moments).

Visually the game has a lot of attention to detail. The use of very colourful environments made it a joy to explore. Music was relaxing and some of the sound effects were just adorable. As a whole, the presentation was good even when it comes to basic functions. The ending needed to be more substantial though.

Final Thoughts 8/10

Pan-Pan is not the easiest puzzle game and it won't hold your hand entire time. I did get frustrated on few occasions. The hardest part is figuring out the first few steps but then it gets reasonably straightforward. Although it is a little short for the price. It has a good quality overall so if you like cute adventures I would definitely recommend it.

This is not a game. This is an insult.

I did things. Calling it 'puzzle solving' is giving games with puzzles a bad rep. You pick up the square thing and put it in the square hole. Repeatedly. I kept putting random things into random receptacles and stuff happened, yay. Note how there are no guides for the game? You won't need one - just keep doing obvious things.

And just when you think "Now I understand the puzzle mechanics! The tutorial is over and I can start for real!" - You get "The End" I beat the game in under 2 hours. I don't mind short games, but those were incredibly boring hours, so in this case I do mind.

The horrible isometric/no perspective camera with couterintitive controls doesn't even matter at this point.

Even the weeping soundtrack is an extended middle finger to the buyer: The whole game has 215 MB on your Disk. More than half of that is a single mp3 with a running time of 50 minutes. One file.

I don’t play point-and-click puzzle games very often, but when I do, there must be something pulling me in, something asking me to devote my “too-trivially spent” yet “only-thing-that-matters” time in its essence, and then there was Pan-Pan. The minute I saw the trailer and witnessed the main character joyfully running to and fro in a beautiful yet minimalist art style I knew right away; I don’t know what this game is about, I don’t care what type it is, I don’t care about any of it as long as I get to experience an hour or two with the heroine extraordinaire that is Pan-Pan. I don’t quite know how to explain it. There was joy and warm fussy feelings, then there was purchase. Usually I’m a much conservative gamer when it comes to my purchasing power and after meticulous research and pricing optimization I conclude (sometimes months in advance) if the game is worth purchasing at all. Alas, I pulled the trigger.
This game is more art than video game. It’s not groundbreaking or stupefying in any one single endeavor, but what it is, is beautiful … and sometimes it is harder to create something with soul than an empty, repetitive experience (cough*fifa, cod*cough). Regardless, if you know anything about Might and Delight then you know what they publish, and if you like their games then be safe in knowing that the artsy, minimalist, outside-of-the-box thinking is still strong here, a trademark that I hope never disappears from their work. Thank you MaD! (Fitting abbreviation might I add jeje).

Pan-Pan is a very sweet, nicely made, short puzzle game in a mini open world. You must find your way around the island and solve puzzles as you progress, you need to collect and place the missing blocks and batteries in there right places, these will help get your space ship back up and running, so you can leave the island you crashed on. Game has no narration, so can be a bit confusing to start, but with some thought I managed to get through the game, and it really was not difficult. The clues to solve the puzzles are very close by. I really enjoyed my time with this game, sadly its very short.

I thinks the RRP is just to much to ask for such a short game, wait for a decent sale OR buy it now at the 80% off, before sale ends. Its a nice little game, and plays very well with just the mouse only. :)

A nice adventure puzzle game. The area to explore may be a little small, but it is enjoyable and ripe for a speed-run. Most of the puzzles are great and fun to solve, while (at least) 1 will probably leave you scratching your head, furrowing your eyebrows, and needing a break. The sounds throughout really add to the atmosphere and are entertaining to hear.

A gentle puzzle/exploration game about a stranded traveller fixing her ship and making friends.
Visually reminiscent of Monument Valley, with Nordic/Moomin-esque style touches and characters (e.g. it looks lovely).
The game was clearly designed for play on a tablet, but is well adapted to PC.

I completed the game in one sitting with a playtime of around 2½ hours, I only got stuck a couple of times and managed to get myself unstuck with a little experiementation. Guides are not necessary if you're patient.

An additional playthrough was required to get an achievement I missed the first time around. Once you know what you're doing it only takes about half an hour to play it through again.

Purchased for -80% of retail price in a steam sale and for that price I was very satisfied with the game length and quality.

This game is simply wonderful. Granted, I'm a sucker for the art style and overall atmosphere/mood. Some of the "puzzles" are pretty hard to figure out, though. There was one part in particular that I had to use a walkthrough for, otherwise I would have literally been wondering around for hours making zero progress. Other than that, my experience was positive overall! If you're a fan of the Monument Valley games, then I really think you'll enjoy this little gem.

Pan-Pan was published but, I found out too late, not developed by Might and Delight. It’s another game that thinks that using words is blase and I have to say of all the indie subgenres trending right now the whole ‘refuse to tell you what’s going on because they for some reason think that’s inferior’ is quickly becoming my least favorite. Pan-Pan really suffers for it, too. It claims it’s an open-world, but it’s actually not — you have to complete each area in a very particular order, but it doesn’t goddamn tell you, so you’ll often end up wasting huge amounts of time trying to complete uncompletable puzzles. There’s also no map, so it gets super obnoxious trying to figure out where you have and haven’t been and how to get where you need to go. You basically have to accidentally stumble into doing things the right way which is not how you game design. It’s almost unplayable without a guide, and it’s not doing anything that makes it worth trudging through with a guide.

On top of all that, loose controls makes some of the puzzles that require walking out patterns a nightmare, and there’s a lot of story/gameplay dissonance (I can’t push down the crumbling door by ramming it, but I can… with a stick?).

DISCLAIMER: This is a full review, and NOT a first impressions review

Pan-Pan is a game developed by Spelkraft and published by Might and Delight

The game offers some nice graphics, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same

Pan-Pan overall, however, is a fun game to play, and it does get boring if being played for a long time, but is an really good adventure game to play in short bursts!

A nice calm and relaxing puzzle game to play, one that I will probably play again at some point in the future.

The gameplay is very basic which is nice because you can have tea and biscuits whilst playing as you only need the mouse. All the environments in the game are artistically crafted and look superb. Lovely music creates the tranquil atmosphere when you're exploring.

Although the puzzles seem very obscure and bizarre, they were easier to understand after lots of thinking outside the box. I think the game inspires you to use your imagination and I like that.

I would definitely recommend trying this game.

Intro

Considering the fine art of this game I decided to purchase without reading the reviews or checking the gameplay. The art style of this game reminds me of Monument Valley (available on Android and iOS). Playing games like Monument Valley, Limbo, Inside etc did set the bar high for me already.

Coming back to this game, I'll just quickly categorize the things as Pros and Cons, easy to read and will add more details in words (without any spoilers).

Pros

Overall, I loved the graphics and the music is soothing to the ears.

    • Graphics, very nice
    • Music, very pleasant, but also some parts of it seems be copied from Monument Valley (like when you reach to a checkpoint)

I think that is pretty much it to the above.

Cons

This is going to be a long list. To be honest, I expected a lot out of this game, to be fun and tricky but it lacks a lot of things.

    • No tutorial, absolutely no idea on what needs to be done.
    • Being a puzzle game, it opens a lot of areas of the map instead of sequentially loading, thus, making it more confusing. Now I know that some of these puzzles are independent, but still it makes no sense to me.
    • Somethings are way more complex than you can even imagine it as a solution.
    • Some puzzles literally makes no sense to me. A couple of them I noticed were annoying because the shapes don't even match to the objects (seemed more like a bug to me)

Overall, the experience I was looking for was a pleasant one but instead it annoyed me. I had to refer to walk through guides back to back just to complete this game. Now I may be dumb enough to understand the logic of this game but it was hell of a confusing one for me.

Violent Grove
Violent Grove

Pan-Pan is a wonderful game if you want to challenge your problem solving skills. When you solve your first puzzle in this game it gives you a feeling of pride. The puzzles in this game can be challenging at times, but with enough perseverance anything is possible. My only complaints are with the sound and the puzzles. The sound sometimes becomes crackly, and the puzzles can be a bit cheap on how you are supposed to solve them. For the most part I enjoyed my experience; there were a few annoyances, but the good outweighs the bad.

Very cute and at times very frustrating! It's a game that really made me think which I really liked and it was very immersive, which was helped by the fact that there are no written or spoken words - although it would have been nice to have a "hint" option or an instruction or two as there were some puzzles that I simply could not have figured out on my own. In the end I'm glad I did look up some hints because it helped me to keep enjoying the game, rather than getting too frustrated and giving up.

It took me a little while to really get into, but I'm really glad I've played Pan-Pan. It is only about a three hour game, so I'm glad I got it at a hefty discount as I think the asking price is very steep for what it is. I would recommend it, but I'd also suggest waiting for a sale.

It's short and sweet, with cute (if simple) graphics and a decent little soundtrack, and most importantly (to me) for a puzzle game, it is largely solvable without a walkthrough, i.e. after a little headscratching and maybe even leaving the game alone for a day or so, you'll probably figure out how to get past some conundrum that was blocking you.

You play a strange little alien who crash lands on a strange world and must attempt to navigate the environment and solve puzzles to rebuild your ship.

There is very little else to say about the game. It is very enjoyable, the puzzles are largely logical and can be figured out with a bit of thought, and it is pleasing to the eyes and ears.

I can definitely recommend this game.

Both frustration and awe in a short little package. Overall I really liked the game but the game often doesn't give you enough feedback about the effect of your actions, making it hard to even figure out what you're supposed to do. I do like that you have to figure things out but less trial & error would have been nice. But I kinda forgive all that since it is short, beautiful and sounds lovely.

Linkblade
Linkblade

When I purchased this game it seemed to me as an open world puzzle game where there are several independant puzzles. But in fact you can't solve any puzzle on itself. The whole world needs to be done in an exact order, otherwise you have no chance of solving anything. And there is no way to know which order you have to do it, it's just pure try and error. Maliciously the devs decided to put several puzzles in front of your nose which can't be solved and placing the puzzle you need to do first further down the road. Try and error combined with a relative large world in regards of the character's movement speed leads to frustrating long searching for the next right puzzle in the sequence without getting anywhere.
I very much like that this game doesn't hold hands / doesn't explain and lets you find out for yourself / explore. Also I like its art style, cute characters and that it's short (30 minutes if you know where to go). But disrespecting the players time by making a long corridor game disguised as an open world makes me not suggest this. I highly suggest to watch a walkthrough video to just get directions for the next right puzzle in the sequence and then solve it by yourself. This way you can be sure, that the puzzle is solvable. It's way too annoying to waste time and thought on something impossible.

If you longed for an open world puzzle game with several independant puzzles try A Monster's Expedition by Draknek.

Giving a thumbs up, even after being horribly frustrated by my lack of intuition for this game. Lots to love - the graphics, characters, humour and yes, even a few of the puzzles - but getting anywhere at the start took forever. There is a way more that doesn't need to be done than there is to BE done, and I'll leave it at that. All in all, I enjoyed the game and was disappointed when it was done. Not a large game, only a handful of real puzzles, but that still took me almost 7 hrs to solve. Recommended, but be prepared to do some head banging on walls while playing and some really DOH moments.

Very cute graphics, adorable character design, as well as lovely sound effects and beautiful music. Biggest drawback is lack of any sort of tutorial/control introduction. The game has no text and relies on visual cues. While the puzzles are fun once you realize that's what they are, its a bit jarring for a game to not let you know, well, anything. After looking up the first few puzzles the rest were fun to solve on my own and made me feel pretty accomplished.

You're solving stuff in an open world to find the parts you need to get your spaceship back (it literally crashed through the 4th wall at the beginning); a very fun thing is that a) there are creatures in this world who take part in the puzzles, and b) the world changes as you affect it. The sad thing is that it's short, about 2 hours if you don't idle, but very satisfying to play and solve. The puzzles don't increase in difficulty; you solve one and that's it, each puzzle is unique. You'll mainly need observation and some lateral thinking.

Most puzzles are very logical, and the game gives you clues on how to solve them. If it seems impossible, it probably is right now; look somewhere else first! Something may come up that helps you!

Things I wish I had known beforehand:
* Vases don't break if you hit them. I had played an RPG before where they do, and was afraid to hit them. You can!
* You can get the fish; in fact, you need the fish.
The latter information is also hinted at in the DLC manual; other than that, the manual not very useful (but quite enjoyable), except it has a map that can come in handy if you tend to get disoriented easily.

Expect about 2 hours of discovering a small world, and learn to solve puzzles through careful observation and lateral thinking! If you're thinking now, "this might be fun", it probably is!

Solid little puzzle game that should last between 1.5-3.5 hours. Generally fair with a mix of easy and difficult problems, although some were rather obscure. A little short for full price but a great buy on sale if you want a calm and rewarding new game for something like a trip.

Incredibly charming, but very short. I bought it on sale, so I feel like I got my money's worth.

I love puzzle games that don't tell you how to play in words and you just have to figure things out from what you find in the environment. This game is one of those and it was so enjoyable. The visuals are also very cute and I really loved the sounds the creatures make. Great game!

Great game, amazing sound design.

There is a sound bug that makes the music have incessant 'clicking' noises. So much for an atmospheric game.

A very cute little puzzle game with no dialogue. I love the mood that that sets, but it does make a few things a bit confusing. Overall it was pretty easy to figure out in the end, but considering I played this at 1am, it did take a second. I love the art in this game, especially the character designs! I definitely plan to go back some time and get the 2 achievements I missed (I didn't talk to the frog, just fed him, rip). Only one of the achievements felt like a bit of a grind. The other one that could be considered a grind still only took less than a minute hah.
I feel like the price can be considered steep for the amount of gameplay I got out of it, and personally would only recommend it on sale. However, I'm sure a lot of work went into the game and think the devs should be paid accordingly :)

Very short but interesting. It's an environmental puzzle game and some of the puzzles are not obvious at all. Took me probably just over an hour to beat it. It's not for everyone but I love the art style. I think it's well worth it on sale if the art/puzzles interest you but not for full price.

If you enjoy puzzle games that are non-linear in terms of where you *can* go, but extremely linear in terms of where you *need* to go, which are also full of misleading or useless visual clues, then Pan-Pan might be for you. I'd say this game is unplayable without a walk-through, or WAY more patience for backtracking than I have.

Beautiful graphics, time-draining puzzles.
그래픽은 예쁘지만 퍼즐이 더러움.

These puzzles aren't time-consuming in a clever way. You are forced to spend a lot of time walking back and forth to get through. I wish I had just looked at the walkthroughs. Would have saved some time meaninglessly and unpleasantly spent. But I like the graphics anyway, so why not recommend this.

I want to preface this by saying that I don't recommend this game at full price, but if you can get this game on sale for cheap and it looks like your thing, go for it.

I really wish I enjoyed this game more; the visuals are adorable and the sound design is excellent. When the puzzles are good they're *really* good but quite often the puzzles are too obscure or have logic that is hard to follow. This isn't helped by the fact that the game is completely wordless so requires you to recognise which symbols aren't just decoration, and then to interpret the symbols' meaning correctly. I feel the game is made even more confusing by the fact that it begins as if it is open world and can be completed in any order, however in truth it is incredibly linear and most puzzles must be solved in a specific sequence with lots of backtracking.

That all being said, if you think you'll enjoy the game, get it while it's on sale and give it a go, the visuals are cute and some of the puzzles are good. It's just held back by some unfortunate design flaws.

Full disclosure: I have only started playing these puzzle games in the past week, so I thought this game, which doesn't have any walkthroughs or tutorials, was incredibly difficult. So, I played while looking at a guide. Nevertheless, I did enjoy playing it and pulling off the instruction. Of course, the art style and aesthetic that pulled me in did entertain my eyes all throughout the game. That part I can say I 100% love. It was adorable.
Really grateful I could play this kind of wonderfully programmed and illustrated game for such a discounted price.
I recommend this for someone who wants a game that'll make them think while also being able to appreciate the visuals

If laboratories could chemically produce the purest form of wholesome and cute, this game wouldn't quite be it, but very, very close.
I love the art style, the sound design is amazing, and game mechanics have a surprising amount of detail and depth.
The game is a bit short, but your first playthrough will have you scratching your head at a few points.

Overall really great game, I recommend it.

A short puzzle game with some sweet background music.

Honestly I must have been to stupid to solve these puzzles, because I had to search for a walkthrough to get through these puzzles.

Also it´s really short, so you can finish the game within an hour. If you´re not stupid like me.

I wouldn´t have bought the game if I knew it would be this short. Not necessarily a waste of time, but just really a pitty it was so short.

Very cute and lovely game! Excellently made, beautiful art and music.
But it has some cons.
-Way too expensive for its length. I finished it in only an hour and a half. Definitely not worth 13 bucks.
-Confusing. Lots of puzzles seem to make little sense and I only solved them by trial and error. The solutions made sense in hindsight but I never would've figured it out through reasoning, there isn't enough to go off of. Also, I only figured out how to drop items near the end, completely by accident. (So I went through the whole game thinking I couldn't drop items lol)

Overall I really liked this game. It would've been amazing as part of something longer.
I do not recommend for full price, but definitely worth buying on sale, which is what I did :) I think I only paid 2 dollars for it.
