Game is awesome and has so much potential but has many game breaking bugs ranging from constructions staying at 0 percent to production order getting completed but but not adding to the storage.

Can't progress in the game in it's current state but i hope it will get fixed.

THUMBS UP! from me... Definitely needs tweaking but it is a solid & cool concept!.. Would love to see the games' progression & even allowing workshop for MODS... Definitely a good purchase in it's current state & looking forward to tracking the updates..

When you make second production line or weapon production there is no items to build complete empty.
Auto production doesnt work properly.
When you demolish finished source mine workers are also dying inside :D

Unplayable
At this stage of the game i don't recommend this game to anyone. Camera gets stuck on the corner almost every time you scroll it there, micromanagement is frustrating and lots of other problems.
However this game has lots of potential, graphics look nice and the concept is interesting. I do hope they fix those bugs fast and make the game more playable with easier to use interface and hud.

in response to developer wanting more info to improve the game, heres the thing, people want some sort of attachment to what they are building. best thing you can do is build a controllable player character and do something akin to evil genius and evil genius 2, even if there is little for you to do, it grounds the game in a better foundational root. also, it needs more autonomy and less math, or at the very least an option or ability to choose. moveable security. a map of the surrounding area, the ability to send a task force out on different missions from intel collection to sabotage. perhaps even in-bunker politics and petty disagreements between scientists to deal with. i mean i didnt think i'd be getting just a bunker-builder. i got so bored of it as soon as i built the first few rooms. im not saying you have to steal ideas, but there is SO MUCH that can be learned by playing and understanding games like tropico, evil genius, and even fallout shelter. i think as a creative entity, you have the ability to do those types of things your own way. so i speak in general terms. regardless, i hope you are able to add more depth to your game. the sales pitch i really liked but i didnt feel like the game came through on that promise.

I am a huge fan of this type of game. A very addictive strategy and a very good vibe.
It is worth seeing for yourself. I recommend.

its a fun game although the whole countdown thing its stressful and getting to 5 days left and only barely producing any weapons to loose and have hours wasted is demoralizing other than that its a pretty solid game and with time im sure there will be quality of life improvement hopefully because it has alot of potential.
Granted the public beta does solve the time issue this game has my eye on it and i will continue to support it

It's a bit rough around the edges, but the developers are receptive and a did a great job capturing the dread of a hopeless situation. There's nothing else out there that invokes the feeling of a come-back quite like Project Wunderwaffe. Recommend picking it up for the price, but be ready to lose a few times, it's as unforgiving as WW2 was.

Might leave this one for a while. The Screen navigation is atrocious; I start building an elevator and tunnel and it snaps to the bottom of the mountain or earth no where near where you want to be looking. You then have to scroll around trying to find the base again. Wont refund as i've already done that today on another unworkable game. FIX IT.

Second thoughts is so bad im going to ask for a refund.

Excellent work. The game is both entertaining and addictive. It perfectly captured the bleak atmosphere of WWII. This atmosphere appeals to me greatly, and it is not easy to achieve.

Horrible UI, game-breaking bugs plus overall just boring gameplay.
Wait, wait, click something, wait some more. And repeat.

This is a game that scratches an itch for ww2 themed games. It is based on an alternate reality. The game is in early access at the moment but already it has a complex research system. I disagree with others who have stated the game is unplayable! I have played for 3 hours with no problems. Yes there are a few bugs and sometimes the game is slow to react once you clicked on an facility and yes the camera does get stuck requiring you to move the screen with the mouse for a sec before the WSDA KEYS ALLOW YOU TO SCROLL AGAIN but this is minor and has not impacted my game play at all. To be an EA game I am surprised at how much is already packed into the game. I would like to see the ability to add guard patrol routes and the ability to post guards where ever in the future as well as I would like to see workers moving raw materials from the mines using the tunnels and elevators to transport materials to the warehouse and to assembly lines. I would like live traffic to take up elevators forcing you to build multiple shafts to maintain production and allow for guards to get to places where someone is up to no good. As of right now their is no animation for the elevator and workers are just standing in place and I would like to see them making use of the tunnels and shafts and that has an impact on how quickly materials get to where they are needed. It just adds a good bit or realism and make it even more fun to play. I played for three hours on Ultra settings and had no game braking issues. I think the majority of the complaints come from people with older rigs or prebuilt rigs that are finding it harder to play many of the newer games. I am playing on a custom built rig that can be upgraded over the years. But to sum it up I am loving this game it has a nice research tree already and you have a ton of stuff to build and do. The graphics are awesome and I only see this game getting better. I don't really do reviews unless it is a game that I really like. But I felt I needed to because of some of the negative reviews. I don't doubt others are having some issues but for the most part I think it comes down to their rigs and not the game. And as I have stated their are a few little bugs and some lag but nothing that is game breaking or that makes the game unplayable. Make sure your rig meets the min system regs before purchase and You will not have any problems.

Good idea but right now poor execution with many essentials missing for games in this genre.

1) You cannot delete everything you place. This is a huge overlook and makes me wonder - why should I play the game if the developer cant even play their own game for half a hour? What I mean is that you can delete rooms but not the tunnels or elevator that you use to connect them. You also cannot delete blueprints.

2) The map is gigantic and rooms produce your ressource but there is no central hub to manage your ressource production with lets say production limits or worker allocation and so on. You have to always click on every single room and put anything you want in the production queue.

You often have rooms that can produce 2-5 different ressources and always have to click on each of them if you want them produced, this horrible management wastes alot of time. You cant just say "produce that and that whenver ressources are available and if not then just produce the next one down the queue"

3) The whole place feels pretty empty. Nobody is walking around, talking, you hear nothing about the on-going war, 0 immersion apart from a map and a base outside...You do see a few guys here and there but it feels like a graveyard. I'd love characters that walk around, talk, interact, have voice lines, talk about crazy projects or Hans just being a guard and all worrisome about the outcome of the war. Soundtrack is also extremely basic.

4) Sabotage is annoying, especially because of the too big map. Honestly it feels like im playing a puzzle game and just wait for whatsever being produced to go on and my main reason to wait is because I always have to manually produce and click each time I want 10 ressources of that or that instead of an actual managing game.

Why can I not lets say manage defenses against actual Commando Raids outside or inside with something like guard stations instead of a silly "oh no a room is beeping! click within X seconds or it'll explode!" - its silly puzzle stuff that feels just awkward.

5) Performance. 50 FPS on a Ryzen 9 5900X and a RTX 3080 TI with a bunch of rooms placed (1 hour in) - for a game where you mostly see rocks and a few rooms. Yeah...Not exactly disrupting because not much is going on in general and there is basically nothing to see but worth mentioning. Performance is pretty bad for something THIS simple with so little going on.

I bought this game knowing its like this because games like this are what I'd love to have and see but so few of them have a soul, I hope this one will have one by the time its done.

Right now the gameplay basics are set but like I wrote above, much is missing. The gameplay loop works although tedious, is it still worth your time? If you love the setting and can live with unnecessary micromanagement.

Overall I look forward to how this will turn out and definitely dont regret supporting this because well, I am a fan of the genre and think we need way more like this :)

Well its a nice Idea, who do not want to build an Ufo.

But i got the feeling it needs a lot of finetuning.

And for me it gets very boring very fast, so repetetive the task, the science tree is nice.

But to invest my time solely to provide for the front is for me quitte lame, even though the Task is demanding in its actual state of the game.( No difficulty selection)

So for the price i think it is ok.

And if you are on this kind of simple Ressource Management & production without backstory well give it a try.

Otherwise well, it was a nice buy to experiment for me.

I miss a maybe button between the options of recomendation.

The game is interesting and the idea is unique. i will recommend it to friends.

but the problem is the game is like release in hurry and it's has many (bug, crash, frame drop and lag )

maybe if the developer team update this game and optimaize it maybe i will tell my friends to buy this game.

Thank you developer

Haven't gotten to play for long yet. The game has a few bugs that have been really annoying so far. Have had multiple issues where the camera can get stuck at the top of the bunker and only let me pan the camera left and right and it will not let me pan up or down. Not being able to pan down is a huge problem, considering the main purpose of this game is expanding downwards. Saving and quitting to the main menu and reloading the save seems to fix the issue, but only temporarily. Issue tends to happen when you pan the camera to the top of the bunker. Also experienced where I panned all the way to the left and then the camera locked and wouldn't let me pan left or right at all, but would let the camera pan up and down. Definitely will play the game more, but these bugs get very annoying as it makes me have to save and quit if the issue occurs and it has happened 3 times in about half an hour. I feel like this game could use some quality of life updates that include people actually walking around the bunker, because currently there is almost no people. Game starts with 20 workers, but I never saw one of these 20 workers even though I was able to assign them to rooms. Would love to see the game feel more life-like.

UPDATE:
One of the developers mentioned in the Discord that if you use the mouse to drag the screen down that it fixes the issue and I have confirmed this to work.

Zane Thanatos

It's a unnecessarily complicated version of Fallout Shelter without the ability to buy progress.

There is one game-breaking bug - the camera gets stuck at the edges of the map (which is absolutely huge). It seems to come free after a bit or reloading the game, but obviously a problem.

However, the actual management aspect of the game is atrocious:
- There is no central management at all, including a mini-map
- You have to go to individual rooms to manage production, set recipes, upgrade (and there is no central visibility into the status of these rooms or visual indicators of how staffed it is, or what upgrade level it's at)
- Production rooms have multiple recipes, and you have no ability to maintain stock limits - you can either set one recipe to produce forever (completely bottoming out your lower-tier resources) or go into the room each time to produce what you need

The map is absolutely huge, and you will have 100s of rooms - trying to find the one you need is a huge headache and the game overall requires a huge amount of micro-management to keep things going and just plain isn't fun.

It also doesn't help your base feels dead (no one walking around, etc) and progression/resources are confusing. For example:
- There is no ability to produce food (eg no greenhouses or the like), you just convert gold ore into rations (somehow)
- Building at the top level of your base also costs the same as 50 levels down
- Power and water are essentially infinite - just plop down the respective room wherever you like and boom, more power

As much as I loathe games that require you to pay to progress, I'd highly recommend one of the freemium games on your phone over this - the game is just bad.

Music and the atmosphere of game are really nice. You can feel that WW2 is still on, Germany has lost the war but you can do impossible.

And about impossible. This game is hard, like really hard. But well winning war after Berlin collapse probably was like impossible ;)

From Prologue there are some changes in good way, but still there is something to improve. Hope it will be done in future.

MiAh The King
MiAh The King

So I'm giving this game a thumbs up simply because the game does exactly what it sets out to do.

The steam store page doesn't lie and it doesn't mislead.

You are in charge of a german bunker at the end of WW2 and you're job is to mine, forge and ship anything of value to the frontlines to prolong your gameplay time. That's pretty much it.

It isn't really that bad honestly. It CAN get a little boring and repetetive but I have to give it a positive thumbs up because it does pretty much exactly what you would expect.

But nothing about the game really stands out. It's controls are a bit off, it's littered with bugs and if it isn't bugs its bad design but overall it's still a pretty okay game.

Basically you mine resources, expand your bunker via different room types. Then you research new techs and forge newer more advanced parts that you ship off to the front line. Rinse and repeat and you got yourself the game.

I'd like to say more but there isn't much more I can say that you don't already know from the steam store page or the review here. But if you want a look with a bit more information and gameplay footage please check out the video on my youtube channel (link below).

Otherwise thanks so much for reading and I hope I helped some of you out there to spend your money wisely.

The game has potential, yet at this stage it misses a lot of refinement. For example difficult controls and (game breaking) bugs. It feels more like an early access title at this point.

Perhaps in a few weeks/months it is worth another try.

Diablothe2nd
Diablothe2nd

Buggy, unpolished mess of a hugely micromanaged Fallout Shelter inspired game.

The UX is dreadful too. Why do we have to manually find and click on everything? Why can't we get a HUD showing production and inventory?

This is by a large margin the worst review I've given recently.

Refunded.

i enjoy my 3 hours so far. game is super hard and needs a lot of runs to figure out how to do stuff. so far i only managed to support the war effort with cement and 3 MP 40 ;_;

for the price you get you will have many hours to play, since you will need them to get actually good at the game.

Indiana Georg

Very fun so far, Camera movement somewhat feels off, the defeat timer jumps days which can catch you off guard to force an early defeat if you are playing dangerously and i didn't notice an effect of the training center which is supposed to slow down enemy forces

Be nice to have a option to remove wrong set tunnels and lifts. A bit buggy af too, for example when you remove a Mine with 5/5 workers in it -- those 5 workers disappear. Mhm. Plenty bugs similar to this, I wonder, how many times did the Dev play this game by himself? Or was it just money grab idea since "based status of 08/15 nazi game filling the void here"?

KGiKII
KGiKII

Really great job. Project Wunderwaffe, unlike many other games, does not treat the player like an idiot. The gameplay itself is challenging, but rewarding. The game focuses primarily on immersive gameplay, outlining the story background and adding various tidbits in the description of the technologies being developed.

It's up to the player to add to the story. The development of the base is intuitive, but forces you to think and solve the problems that arise. The graphics and music do not disappoint, but the clue of this game remains planning, watching the development of our base and achieving successive levels of development on the way to inventing the title Wunderwaffe.

Excellent game that has great potential for further development (DLC)!

Germania
Germania

This game is an unpolished diamond.

If the developer will keep listening to the community and keep developing the game, it have the huge potential to be even more enjoyable than Fallout Shelter. But for now, its rather a game for deep WW2 enthusiasts, with deviation in micromanagement. You are basically given a game, which you will be restarting over and over again, until you figure the very specific recipe for victory, limiting your play-style to pre-designed way, with minor freedom and little tolerance for errors. But the graphics is nice and rooms are rather well designed, together with background and all else.

If you want a WW2 game in your collection with micromanagement, its for you. If you want some casual game like Fallout Shelter, which isnt stressing you out and you dont have to double-think your every step, then you better to wait for the updates.

This is a very addictive game. It has a great vibe. Excellent graphics and music. Such a good combination is rare. I will come back to Project Wunderwaffe often because of the ambitious approach to a difficult topic and the great commitment of the developers. See credits. It's incredible what four people can accomplish! Congratulations!

Excellent game, which reminds Fallout Shelter a bit, but set in a German base during the World War II, with cool graphics. great soundtrack and of course immersive gameplay. A while ago I had a lot of fun playing a Prologue (which successfully convinced me to buy the game) and the full version is even better. The game is really addictive - especially when it starts to be really challenging after reaching the TIER 2. The resource system and development of the base is really intuitive. I highly recommend Project Wunderwaffe for everyone, who is interested in WWII or like strategy/challenging games.

The game in general got a slight gameplay balance and is no longer as hardcore as it was earlier in the prologue. Unfortunately there are still a few problems related to the ui and why you can't destroy tunnels(??). Overall, I rate the game at such a strong 7.5/10. I hope that the developers do not sit on their laurels and begin to bring the product to completion.

The game reminds me of Fallout Shelter, only with a lot of different details. I don't know if the developers were inspired. The game also seemed quite difficult. You have to keep a lot of things in your head at the same time. I think the developers still have a lot of work to do, but you can see the potential.

BULLSHIZER GAME ... there is no difficulty level ... you start with 48 days on 3 fronts ... it takes 10 days to get the basic research done to make anything useful .. oh look first research is mining ... awesome ... but wait ... you cant mine because you need to learn how to build a fucking mine .... by the time you start making weapons your down to 16 days ... 1 rifle costs the same resources as 2 mp-40's and is less then 2 mp-40's in adding time to the counter

it would have been nice to have a difficulty option that lets you start with diff amount of days but the devs dont seem to think that way its just boot you off the fucking cliff and see how you do with little to no guidance

may edit review later but would need alot to improve it as many of the games bugs from the beta are STILL in it

Stock standard idle game, except nearly every mechanic in the game exists to prevent you from playing it idle. You just stare at progress bars and if you look away too long either your processes stop (until you manage to build significant duplicate production lines, think 5-6 hours) or some part of your base is mysteriously sabotaged and blows up.

Doesn't help that unlocking new production lines to create more expensive parts only give the same reward as the cheap parts. That's patchable, but the above design flaws are not.

Great gameplay! This game has captured my attention.

After all, it's a game that doesn't treat people as if the world is a giant sandbox for kids.

Fun, relaxing and very unique game.
In your first 30 minutes you will feel confused because of the restarts you will be forced to do, but once you learn how everything works and not spend the starting resources in the wrong place the game truly starts. The only two important things missing are the ability to pick a difficulty level and the ability to remove tunnels.

Very challenging at first but once you find the correct combo/path it is much more sustainable - looking forward to more end game content and difficulty levels.
