lol, that's a funny game! i immediately felt immersed in this cartoony looking wild west city. holstering, then drawing your 2 big guns and blast away is a very satisfying experience. can't wait for multiplayer and well worth the 4 bucks i paid.

Nice game with a lot of potential. Not clear how to reload. Hope that will be fixed soon.

Fun little shooter at a great price! It's nice being able to adjust the holster height to fit your needs. Difficulty seems spot on and will probably make a great multiplayer experience when that releases.

Note: You reload by spinning/touching the barrel with your offhand apparently. At least that's what MANTRONIX told me in the forums.

Cartoony graphics work well
Option to change height of holster
Fun now but will be awesome with multiplayer.

It's not apparent how to reload your guns.
Audio effects are lacking, looks but doesn't sound like High Noon yet.

I enjoyed this game. I had some difficulty grabbing the gun. I also realized that you can grab either gun with either hand.

The obvious recommendation is to "walk 10 paces" and turn around to shoot in a duel.

I can also imagine that the dueler would taunt and promise to put you into the grave. Then the next dueler can comment that you killed his best friend... etc...

Great game with fun visuals. Its one of those perfect quick play games that you can jump right into. Within a few minutes I was in the game and playing. Easy to figure out and a fun concept. Looking forward to the multiplayer.

this is my first review. this game is simple yet fun! all you can expect in a quick draw simulation game. I highly recommend this game as it is a very fair price and a lot of fun! plus the developer is putting out updates regularly.

Fun little game for testing your reactions and aim. Liking the cartoony feel to it, would benefit from a few more scenes but I'm sure the Dev is working on that. Looking forward to multiplayer & testing my reactions against real people.

Suggestions:
• The ruffians rag doll physics could do with some attention. Sometimes they act like they're a balloon and the air has been released. Although this did provide some comedy moments for me :-D
• Ambient sound is almost like being in silence, could do with either some low western style music in the background, or more ambient sounds. Also could hear the ambient soundtrack stop and start with a gap in between, should loop seamlessly.
• Instead of the eagle noise being the start of the round when shooting the ruffians, maybe the ruffians could shout "DRAW!" Obviously the depth of the sound would need to be accurate.
• When using the pointer whilst holding the gun, it would be handy if the gun didn't fire, would have saved me accidentally quitting the game >.<
• The scrolling is super sensitive when using the pointer, was hard to scroll through and find my name on the leader board. Would be good if the leader board had the number for your position next to the name as well.
• Not sure if allowing people to spam reload whilst shooting was intentional or not, seems too much like cheating to me.

Here's a video I did showing an overview of the game:

Looking forward to more updates :-D

Fun. But seems to be missing something.

Super cheap. Super limited in content as of right now. There are two acccessible game modes, one of which is defend the town, and it's a wave shooter in which you duel against AI. The other mode is time trial, in which you draw and shoot targets as fast as possible, and your total time is recorded for the leader boards. It looks like there's a third mode in development, as it is not accessible, and it's supposed to be multiplayer duels.

TL;DR
Game is worth the money.

Hello everyone,

At the moment, its still missing the multiplayer, which will really make this game worth it. Right now its just target practice and dualing agaist computer opponets. It would also be cool to see western style shoot outs like on a train or in a Saloon or something. Check out my Video Gameplay/ First Look Here: https://youtu.be/Ti1aVQkCnyA

I would play more of this game today however, I am ill so I cannot. Anyway from the time I have played so far here is my experience with Quick Draw.

It is something different, there are a lot of games for the VIVE where you just stand and shoot.. boring right? Quick Draw is well, that but it adds something new to it with the wild west setting and the fact you have to draw your weapon at the same time.

I was immersed into this game, even putting on a fake accent and physically pretending to be in a move or something (I'm a streamer, not a crazy person). Anyway it was a lot of fun to play and something I have never tried before.

The game is not perfect though, after a while it can get repetitive, this is because of the lack of gamemodes in the game, at the moment there are only 2 gamemodes. A shooting range time trial and the 1v1 quick draw, there will soon be an online feature which I am very excited for but at the moment the game is very limited. I would say for the price it is OK but not perfect, I would love to see more features in the game at a later date, maybe even some missions like a Saloon gunfight or something (I understand that will counter the name of the game being Quick Draw but it would still be fun, especially with the cartoony graphics which I have happened to fall in love with.) Anyway, if you have some money to spend and want to try something new give this a shot!

RATE: 6/10 (for now)

NOTE: Will update this review when the game leaves Early Access.

Welcome to the VR McCree Simulator, where it's always... HIGH NOON!

Quick Draw puts you in the shoes of an old west gunslinger who spends his days having shootouts with ruffians. However it sounds much more exciting that it actually is...

It got repetitive really quickly. More so than most wave based games. There was no indication that it was going to end, just continue spawning new enemies. Reloading was tedious and forced you to holster one weapon at a time. More realistic, yes. More fun, not really.

At 4.99, your mileage may vary. It's definitely not for me and I don't see me playing it but it could wow others. I think I'm more on the No side on this one though. Really, the lack of gameplay variety and the slow repetitive pace are what push it over the edge from being borderline to No.

I gave this a big thumbs up for two reasons - what it is and what it could develop into.

What it is, is the first cowboy shooter I've played where the pistol is actually holstered, and you have to physically draw your weapon before aiming, shooting, relaoding, and putting it back in your holster. It's too cool and I dare anyone to do it without their mouth turning down into a scowling cowboy expression with your back arched and your arms bend out to the side.

What it could be, is almost too much to hope for. Imagine this type of game developing into a full blown western experience, almost like Westworld even. You could walk into the bar, sit down and play cards, go rob a train and become the town sherriff. This is the type of full price AAA game I want to see!

In the meantime, this is a great start.

Minor feedback for developer - this is the first game Ive played where I felt the weapon was not in the sweetspot for feeling like it was really in your hand. The hand models are placed ontop of the wrist, rather than in line with my wrist. Its' minor but noticeable.

Great little game though.

I have lots of fun with that game and i want more! Your team are on the good track for sure! Now the bad... The belt for hanging the gun should be a all around belt ... Cause the the virtual hip follow the head and it is hard to quick draw with a full body motion. Just saying! And for the menu it should be just a shoot it menu no cursor we do not need cursor only bullets!bullets!bullets! It is a gun game after all no! I wish you good luck and keep the good work!

WARNING. NO UPDATES IN 7 MONTHS IN EA, ABANDONED BY DEV. DON'T BUY, DON'T GET RIPPED OFF.

I have no idea why this is getting a thumbs up from other users, this game is so very boring, uninteresting and not very well made.

You'll be bored too and get a refund from Steam and move on with your life. I can't believe I've racked up over an hour, I probably fell into a coma. I didn't pay full price, I picked up this turd of game within a cheap VR bundle. Lesson to remember, indie VR game bundles are compiled of tedious, badly made VR trash.

Beneath the cute graphics lurks a dull and repetative wave shooter. Avoid.

A pretty simple but fun game. If you want to test your reflexes and speed and find out if you would have survived the wild west this is a good casual game. My only complaint is that, while the height of the holsters can be adjusted, their angle cannot. This makes the way you have to hold the controllers a bit awkward and not natural. If they added the angle adjustment this would be a much better game.

I did find that you can accidentally drop "toss" your guns in such a way that they cannot be retrieved so you have to restart the level to get the guns back.

There is not a lot of depth but if you want a quick casual game and have the right expectations, I believe you will enjoy it. This could be a pretty good little party game with some of the above improvements.

However, until they fix these issues I cannot recommend it. If they do then I would not hesitate if the price is kept low.

This could have been a fantastic game. The guns work well, the reloading is perfect, the wild west setting is nicely done...BUT... I bought this because I wanted to relive the Clint Eastwood gunfights against one, two or more players. It seems to offer this in the 'Defend The Town' option...BUT...IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO LOSE A GUNFIGHT, even against 3 GUNFIGHTERS. In 32 separate waves I encountered 1, 2, or 3 baddies in each case. But in every case they took at least 3 seconds to fire even a single shot shot, giving me more than enough time to fire as many bullets as I wanted. Even worse, when they do eventually start shooting, not a single shot is on target. Not one. Even if I fire my bullets at the ground or refuse to fire at all, I did not get shot once in over 30 waves. It's inexplicable, but there it is. It looked like someone had finally created a viable gunfighting game, but with no possibility of getting shot, what's the point?
