Radioactive Dwarfs: Evil from The Sewers is a pretty good game where you play as a woman in the red dress determined to save her brother from an army of evil radiated dwarves dwelling in the sewers to get gold from themselves and murder or eat anyone down there like the greedy savages they are. She arms herself with a pistol to help her fight against these monsters. Synopsis aside, the game has suitable graphics for a modern 8-Bit game, catchy music, interesting but sometimes annoying enemies, useful pickup items and straightforward gameplay of 20 levels (including bonus and secret levels).
Overall Rating: 8/10
So some slightly past her prime Russian broad has a real complex or pathology-level, probably, animus against people with genetic dwarfism*. She buys a gun from her loser brother to go wipe out the population of them she is convinced live in the mean sewers of Moscow or wherever in Russia the game takes place. Then they make things personal by kidnapping her brother, and we're off on an adventure.
The premise sounds like a Troma movie, and in my opinion it's the perfect setup for a perfect, very simple game. Radioactive Dwarfs has a lot of atmosphere, it has simple cinematics that make its story live, a great soundtrack, and the punchy, rewarding sound design for things like shooting, collecting items, getting points, and progressing that a game like this needs to have. The only slightly worrying thing are the sensual-sounding vocalizations the main character makes when she gets killed or trapped in an obstacle. It's not really out of keeping with what those kind of sampled sound effects probably would have been in the era which this game emulates, but I feel like we could have done without them.
I keep seeing Nintendo games mentioned, but it's more like an early PC port of Berzerk from Russia that just got totally misunderstood by whomever translated the manual. Or maybe something for the Dendy. It doesn't last long, but it's cheap, it's got a fun story and atmosphere, and it's short enough to satisfy but leave you wanting more. You even get some secret levels and bonus stages for an extra challenge, should you choose. It's a whole game consisting of what are famously the worst kind of levels in every game, and it's constant fun. Hard recommend. I wouldn't mind seeing what could be done by the community if the designer released some level editing tools, either.
*I know that they're meant to be Gnomes or fantasy Dwarves or whatever, but the creators' minimal understanding of English led to the impression that she really just hates manlets, and that's funny to me.
Retro-shooter with a classic view in which we need to destroy the enemies using or bypassing various obstacles. According to the story, we will play for a beautiful girl in a red dress, which goes in search of his brother, who was kidnapped by radioactive gnomes in the sewers. All we need to do is to use the environment skillfully, because our heroine is able to break barrels and crates in search of various supplies and shoot a variety of gnomes by shooting through the iron bars.
The game boasts its pixel style, colorful cut-scenes and cool 8-bit sound environment.
It's a beautiful game. Suitable for fans of old school and 8-bit games. A very challenging game. I barely made it through level 1, so you definitely won't get bored with it :D
The game has over 20 levels, and there are bonus levels that have slightly different mechanics from the rest.
Overall. I recommend playing this game!
The game is like an NES classic.
A very interesting 8-bit style game.
Really cool and interesting gaame.
The city is terrified: in the evenings, cases of missing people have become more frequent on the streets. Newspapers write that an ancient settlement of gnomes has awakened underground, seizing the sewers and attacking people at night ...
An interesting game with its own plot, has 20 levels , many different enemies, you can have a good time in this game.
A good pixel game about a girl with a pistol, whose brother was stolen by radioactive gnomes and taken to a dungeon in the sewers. And now, in order to save him, she walks through various large locations, where there are a large number of gnomes, boxes with loot, weapons, coins, mushrooms to increase or decrease growth. Everything in the game can be destroyed, even stone walls, which is very cool, I liked this opportunity. There are no bugs in the game, but there are some inconveniences, and I hope the developers will see my review and fix it. 1) I would like the control to be more convenient, and it was possible to walk simultaneously, for example, down and to the left, and not only along one path out of four. Sometimes, because of this, I cannot get into the passage between the stones when I run, and the gnome eats me. 2) You can make the weapon more rapid-fire, at least so that it can fire 2 rounds (not at the same time), because I do not have time to kill the gnome in front of me, if he is far away and the bullet has not yet reached him, and if another gnome comes up from behind, then nothing can be done, and he kills. 3) To prevent the gnomes from appearing endlessly and so suddenly, very often it kills me. You can make a restriction on them. Basically, everything else is great. I really liked the animated graphics. Hardcore levels. Variety of everything in the game. It's very interesting to play, especially if they listen to my wishes for the game, then I will generally play it endlessly day and night. It is very addictive to me. Good game!
Radioactive dwarfs: evil from the sewers
- an arcade game made in a retro style with a top-down view, in its gameplay, resembles a mixture of two games: Battle City and Pacman. Nice music 8-bit music, good level design, 20 different levels with new elements and many secrets. Conclusion: 10/10
Very nice game, with an interesting plot
Cool 8-bit arcade game. The game is made in the style of old games for megadrive sega. An additional atmosphere is provided by its musical accompaniment, which is also made in 8-bit
Nice graphics and retro gameplay.
