Sights & Sounds
- Cute art style. The characters are reminiscent of Paper Mario
- The music is fine, but forgettable

Story & Vibes
- The story is very bare-bones, but it isn't really the focus of the game anyway
- Very casual vibes. Easy to pick up and put down thanks to the puzzle game adjacent level style
- The game has a good sense of humor and doesn't take itself too seriously. There's fun references (some overt and some more subtle) to other games throughout

Playability & Replayability
- I wouldn't really call this a puzzle game. You just hover around and complete objectives, some of which are pretty amusing
- The quality of the levels is highly variable. They run the gamut from easy to hard and boring to fun. For the most part, they're pretty middling
- There's an NG+, but I mostly just went after the achievements. I might get the DLC at a later point, though, if it gets cheap enough

Overall Impressions & Performance
- The game ran like a charm on the Steam Deck
- It's a decent little game, but it feels too short for the price. You could complete the main story in 2-3 hours, and there's another few hours to be had in picking up the NG+ achievements, but it's not a whole lot of bang for your buck

Final Verdict
- 5/10. It's an okay game. I'll recommend it since it's Steam Deck verified, but wait for a sale if this looks appealing to you

Big disappointment. Wildly uneven art style. Divisive cringe humor (with the exception of one very hilarious Easter Egg/achievement and the Pigeon Level). The story of the game doesn't work or is superfluous. The gameplay pretty much burns out its main gimmicks in a handful of levels. The numerous homages, ripoffs, and parodies of other games aren't particularly clever and just feel unimaginative or derivative. By the end, I was struggling just to play through the game to see the content. It just kept dragging on, especially the RPG Level. They're already offering to sell DLC to this thing, and I can't imagine why.

This has timed puzzles. I'm out. I want to soak people and ruin their day to make myself feel better. Not feel like a failure when my slow ass fingers can't avoid the stupid sun. Play Katamari or Untitled Goose Game Instead. Donut County doesn't punish you like this.

I haven't played this in a minute but I will get back to it and finish it. It is hilarious and I highly recommend if you're looking for snarky comedy this is the game for you. The puzzles are fun but manageable and just challenging enough to make you aggravated but laugh along the way. Truly give it a try!

One of the most original and funny games I've ever played! Even more fun than it looks. Certain to win quite a few awards, I hope.

I really wanted to like this game, but there really isn't much game here from what I've played. The style is cute, but it is really lacking in gameplay for me. Might be better later in the game or for a younger audience, but for me it very much missed the mark and was not worth the cost. Also, I was super bummed that the cloud face editor doesn't let you make emojis for all the expressions. If you make a custom face, it just replaces all cloud emotions and makes it not worth doing.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL game. Adorable, kinda weird, and always fun to play, I never get bored. There's always some little thing on a level that makes me laugh, and also, I think I may have destroyed someones farm? Oh well, It was fun!

You're a cute lil (decoratable) cutout of a cloud that just...RAINS (and snows, and electrocutes) on everyone and everything you see! There's fun little references every here and there, all the characters are wonderfully sassy, and the controls and graphics are easy and fun! 100/10!

This game is so fun and charming! I was instantly sold on the premise and loved it as soon as I started playing. While most of the levels (that I've played so far) boil down to "rain on all the humans," it throws in some levels with different objectives that help to spice it up and keep it interesting. The writing is cute and has great humor as well! Solid game all around, I wish I had a cloud friend that could rain on my enemies.

11/10 Ruined kid's birthday party WITH FIRE, marched zombies across a city, and pet a dog

If that's not enough to make you buy it, then FINE, let me give "rEaL" reasons.
This is a really unique and cute game unlike any other that I've really played. Each level, you play as a cloud with a variety of cloud powers to solve puzzles, do weird tasks, or cause mayhem. Some levels are super intricate, following a "story" (Like the definitely "not" Legend of Zelda level), and can take quite a bit. Others are much quicker, or just for fun, like painting or raining down hands to pet a dog. (No seriously, there is a point where you rain hands to pet a dog. It's amazing.)
It's also LOADED with references to other popular media, there's a whole level centered around The Office, a Legend of Zelda adventure, Louise's hat from Bob's Burgers, a Wolfenstein/Doom style arcade level, and I'm pretty sure the level "Quiet Little Mountain Town" is a reference to South Park. There's tons more that probably went over my head, but either way, they were all super fun to experience!
As a side note before I forget, the game recommends you use a controller to play, and while I didn't try it with a keyboard, it does feel very natural with a controller!

I happened upon a demo for this game out of boredom, and I'm so glad I did. I've only played for five hours, but it feels like I've gotten so much more out of it, and there's NG+ objectives now! So that's pretty dope.
There's really only a few things I would change if I could, and that's if I'm being a picky Karen:
-Add player "profiles", I want to share with my siblings, and we could always library share, but it'd still be a nice feature. :) (Okay, maybe this comes from a place of "I drew a phallic symbol on my cloud's face and I don't want to explain it to my little sister")
-Maybe an easier difficulty for youngins? I'm thinking of my little sister, who would probably LOVE this game. But some levels are challenging (Which is a good thing, I appreciated the challenge!), and seeing as how the playful silliness of this could attract a younger audience, maybe adding in an easier difficulty would make it better for them.
-When you start NG+, it'd be nice to see all the hidden objectives as well! Or maybe hints to get the hidden decor items in the level selection map. Maybe this happens after you finish NG+, but I don't see why it would, but if it did, I'll come edit this out. I just reached NG+ myself, which is awesome btw!

Anyway, all in all, it's a super fun game. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for just silly fun. You get to play as an asshole cloud that goes around terrorizing people and causing mass destruction, what more could you ask for? :)

I have been gaming for 37 years, it's always very refreshing to come across something that isn't so copy paste. Having been a developer (and still doing so), an artist, worked in an office, been bullied, have been using the term hoomans and have moved to the mythical Seattle myself -- I almost swear the developers have been stalking me.

I bought the game shortly before the end of my work day and started to play it thinking, okay -- I'll tinker with it and go eat. Yeah, didn't make it out to eat before I made it to the "You Beat the Game Edition".

The game has been wonderfully done and does so many variations on play style it never got boring. The artwork is pretty neat and all the various tasks you can do in the levels or out on the world map. You might even say that the game has 51 levels because of the things you can do out on the world map. I won't lie, I thought it was short and I wanted more, but I am far from disappointed from my experience.

A couple things to note though, while they do recommend a controller, I did things on the keyboard just fine -- I even painted a poop emoji that looks halfway decent.

I don't want to go back to retail either

And sorry Dane, I couldn't help myself. That joke was amazing.

Let's cut to the chase: Is the game worth $14.99 usd? No. Not without some local co-op at the very least...

I would also suggest the developer mind the fire-making mechanics; I found myself having to re-saturate areas that were connected and should've lit. Having to back-track breaks from the immersion of this otherwise mesmerizing game. The camera perspective takes some getting used to and there's no option to adjust it. However, there's no denying the aesthetic and even comedic value of the game.

I'll be requesting a refund and will wait until these things are fixed, as I enjoy the experience of the game, but I can't recommend it at $14.99. Not without a multiplayer option and some bug fixes.

Oh my god this game has me laughing so hard, and is just so fun. It's nice easy chill playing, but some parts are definitely still tricky to master. Some levels are so randomly hilarious, like the one to see how long you can do absolutely nothing for. I'm not very good at that one. Highly recommend!

Rain on Your Parade is little bit of everything and it rarely overstays its welcome. You play as a cloud and it starts simple. You simply rain on people. Eventually you'll get more loosely cloud related powers so you can cause even more mayhem. Yes, there's even a tornado power, though that's the last one to unlock, so be patient. With the new powers, earlier levels might be lot easier. But don't worry, there's new game plus mode that gives you additional objectives. At that point you can also play the levels in any order you want, so you can just have fun.

While lot of it is pure mayhem, there's puzzle elements in several levels, especially with some of the optional objectives. Don't worry about causing mayhem as people are made out of yarn (there's also few other excuses in the game, but I won't spoil them here). There's lot of variation within the 50 levels, so there's no time to get bored.

In overall, difficultly varies during the levels quite lot. Easiest ones are for example one where the objective is pet the dog and harder ones are usually Dr. Dryspell ones where you get shot at. The first person shooter is maybe the hardest one so far as it's quite long and you have to start from the beginning if you die. That one is totally optional though.

If you're unsure if you will like the game, try the demo. Demo content is pretty much in sync with the full game (which has downside that you have to play the same levels again in the full game).

If you're a completionist, there will lot of content even after you have finished the game. If you're player that likes to rush through everything in order to see the end credits, it might be good to wait for a sale. For everybody else, it's totally worth it.

Really fun action-puzzler type game with pleasantly surprising variations to level design. A couple of the later levels had objectives and gave abilities that caught me off-guard in a mind-blowing kind of way. I don't know if this game is parodying or paying tribute to certain video game franchises, but it was a good time either way. I feel like there is more than enough content in one play through to justify the price, each level was fun to explore and interact with, but after I finished the game I went into NG+ where I found a level that I missed my first time through, and I came across a cabinet that turned the game into a full blown first-person shooter! So I think this game still has more in store for me.

Despite the premise, it is a funny, heartwarming, kid-friendly experience from beginning to end.

Dear People reading this review,
In all of my years of gaming, I have never had an experience that was so joyful. I was born without the sense of smell. After playing through all of these levels, I had a realization that it was all in my mind. I laughed with this game. I cried with this game. I felt both the burning hatred of 1000 suns and the cool breeze of a summer day in the same level. Many have tried to make the "perfect game." Many have failed.
I feel that if more people played this game the world would be a better place.
The music was touching, the plot was so deep. The emotions that this game....no....this ART... made me feel is indescribable. I behoove you to play as a cloud. Change your life.

This game is great. Well worth the price, it's funny, it has a surprisingly wide variety of gameplay despite the simple concept of "you are a cloud and you rain on things", and it's even a good game for kids (even if they won't understand most of the jokes). Definitely check it out.

A surprising amount of depth for such a simple little game. Float around, use weather powers to mess with people, complete some tricky objectives for extra stars that don't actually matter. Good to play a couple levels at a time when you've got a few minutes.

This game is a gem. It has a fun and simple concept, but what makes it special in my opinion is all of the variety and creativity in the level designs. One minute you're raining on a wedding, then before you know it you're leading a horde of zombies to overtake the city. Hats off to the devs on that. It was fun from start to finish and never got stale. 9/10

This game is very wholesome and a lot of casual fun. The creativity of the developers and the humor used is really good! I often use the '1€ per hour of gameplay'-technique when buying games, but I didn't with this game because the reviews were good and it looked like a lot of fun. I was not disappointed!

You can finish this game in 3-4 hours, so it breaks my rule. Nevertheless it's definitely worth it at that price and I had a great time!

Excellent game for playing with kids - my 5 year old loves it.

Its a cute little-big planet like graphics game. There are lots of games/levels that feel sandbox like and it has some fun puzzle scenarios - reminds me a lot of DONUT COUNTRY

Giving it a 8/10

I feel that the music was a bit generic and there is sometimes a fair bit of dialogue that likely whomever is playing does not care about - the argument that might be made that "kids are meant to follow the story" but the problem is - there is a fair bit of humor that will be lost on kids at that age..so it will just seem like non-sense sometimes.

Second downside is you really want to play it with a controller to enjoy it - I feel that more of a simple mouse interface might have been more enjoyable.

Of course its a fairly short title but totally worth the price and your kids might just want to goof around in it.

In this game you can really see that the dev had a lot of fun. It's full of jokes and cultural references.
The main goal seems to always be the same, mess with humans with your habilities or help characters with them, but some levels are imaginatives like the reference to "the office" one.
From time to time you also get a level to make a maximum of damages in a time limit, so you can get your sadistic side satisfied. But most of the levels you can take your time :)
You also get a lot of personnalisation possibilities as you get decors and accessories every level and you can even redraw the face of your cloud.
For the price you get a looooooot of levels, for now I don't find them very difficult so it's probably mostly a relaxing game to release some stress after a hard day. You can imagine soaking your boss for example :p

From: Imalwaystired.blog

There will only be a handful of people that will believe this (and ultimately say this), thank God for Twitter. I believe Twitter is a decent enough institution to allow indie developers to be able to advertise their game in a decent manner. This is how I came across Last Man Sitting and this week's game...

I just wanted to play a simple, easy game this week.

This week I evaporate and take the form of a cloud and ruin so many people's days while low key saving the world from a LYRICAL GENIUS. This week I played Rain on Your Parade.

Rain on Your Parade is a comedic adventure game brought to you by Unbound Creations. The game released on April 15th, is available on Xbox, PC and the Switch and retails for $15.

Cloudy only exists because of a bedtime story. The story starts out one with adventure and what it means to be nice, then it becomes a haphazard tale of a cloud trying to save the world from a cloud hating scientist. Dr. Dryspell is the ultimate evil and he will not quit until Cloudy is no more.

Cloudy can utilize rain, lightning and snow throughout the entirety of the game. Levels instruct you to rain on people or to stop fire from spreading, use lightning to usher people out from underneath their safe havens and snow to trip up those not paying attention.

There are objectives that need to be met and then you move on to the next level. Most of the time the objectives are incredibly easy to achieve and require basically zero thought. For example, there is a level that is literally a rip off of a Counter Strike map and the only objective is to stop the enemy from disarming the bomb.

I played a series of levels based solely off of The Office, I went on a quest that was almost a total rip off of a Zelda game, I played Counter Strike, partook in a few movie inspired levels, ETC.

Aside from your basic levels, there are leaderboard levels that you can rack up a bunch of points to be at the top (not me though baby, I'm trash).

The game announces somewhere around the middle that you can't really hurt these people because A. they are made of yarn and B. it would shoot the rating up and that was never going to be an option, so what I am trying to say is that the game looks good when it wants to but on closer inspection, it looks like poop. Humans have dots for eyes and mouths (?). Humans are only discernible because there is really nothing else on screen at the same time.

Music is good enough that I remember some melodies even though I haven't played the game in a few days.

You can openly customize the face of our favorite cloud. I designed mine to look tired because I am, in fact, always tired. Upon completing levels, customization rewards are given out.

Rain on your parade is a game by a group of people that wants its players to just have fun, that is very clear but it does get boring at points. Challenge is non-existent, but that is not necessarily a bad thing (it is just for me).

It is a really accessible game; perfect for all ages. My wife played it and had a blast, even though she only played a few levels. The humor is really good and it strikes some nerves that some people may not appreciate.

Rain on your Parade is a fun game made by fun and creative people and it really shows.

100 PERCENT GRIT AND HUSTLE
100 PERCENT GR…

After seeing description of game, I bought this purely for fun. I was praying they wouldn't have too many time based missions or other variables that would lose focus on the fun and relaxation part.
Good news- very relaxing and fun game.
Great for young kids if you have them or adults that just need to get away from it all for awhile.

So having finished the main game, I still have lots of secrets to find in New Game + (which, I'm quite surprised there's New Game + for this game!) but am well-played enough to say that this is a fun, charming, humble and hilarious little game, and I definitely recommend it. It did take me about 2 and a half hours playtime to finish the story, so in terms of length it's hard to say the price tag is worth it, but much like Journey it's much more a matter of quality here. All the little details, the quality of writing and the variety in the game definitely makes it worth it. It's also very clear the creators had massive fun and a huge amount of creative exploration while making this. It's never too hard, but never boring because of the powers you get and the way different levels mix things up. The art styles really adorable, and the inclusion of some chill gal-less levels and customisation really set a nice mood. If you like puzzles over combat and want a game more about making you feel good and giving you a chuckle, I really recommend it.

Alright. I played the demo of this game when they released it during the indie thing on steam earlier this year. I loved it, immediately put it on my wishlist, and got it this Christmas. This is my review.

This game is without a doubt in my mind, one of the best indie games I've ever played.
It is lighthearted fun mixed with absolute chaos. That is the only way I can describe it. The amount of fun I had playing this game cannot be beat.

Now onto some basics:
Is this game long? No. I beat the entire thing under 5 hours. Granted, I laughed the entire way through.

Is it replayable? Absolutely, and it has game+, which makes it more challenging for those who like a challenge. They are also releasing DLC as well as free updates here and there.

The artstyle is so unique and cute, with little hand drawn pictures animated on top of cardboard textures, with little strings attached to your cloud, yarn people (which also got turn into a joke as to why its okay that you're striking people down with lighting, turning them into snowmen, whipping them up in a tornado, etc;), it is the absolute cutest.

All in all, I loved every second of playing this game, which is why I'm recommending it, muchless taking the time to review it. The amount of easter eggs, references, memes, as well as shade thrown to the gaming industry (I'm looking at you, microtransactions), added to the experience of how fun this game truly is.
I literally just cannot get over how fun this game was. Honestly. I cannot. I am going to keep playing, but I really just wanted to review it as soon as I reached the ending. The final level of this game, too? Absolute chef's kiss. That's all I'm saying. Other's might not like it, but I absolutely loved it.

Also, you can quite literally customize your cloud in this game with the amount of freedom I haven't seen in a long time. You can draw to have any face you want. Want to have private parts as a face? Go for it! Want to have no face at all? That's good too! Wanna have Cloud hair on your Cloud with a rich anime face? That's great too! You do you boo! You draw it, you got it. That's CRAZY!

Final verdict: Absolute 10/10. Thank you for making this game, and thank you to whoever fully reads my review.
Please give this game the love it deserves.

I can't remember the last time I saw a game this creative and fun - the gameplay is so simple, yet the tasks vary a lot, not to mention the way the game is packed with easter eggs and humor. Lots of fun, definitely recommend.

You are cloud, can do all the impractical pranks on others and not worry about anything.
Rain, snow or thunder shock anyone at anytime.

All levels are fun and made rad , you don't feel like its repetitive.
You need a potato pc to run this.

Nice game to drink and have few laughs with your gf and pass few hours.

I wouldn't say it's a particularly substantial game but, if you're in the mood for something cute and light with a bit more creativity than you might initially suspect, give this a go. It's not particularly deep but that doesn't mean it doesn't have good variety.

Cute game with so much going for it. If you want a game where you can hop on and off without feeling like missing too much in between, this is that game. I love being able to spend a few minutes a day working on it. Loved it!

Cute game with a lot of charm. Keys for cloudys thunder, snow and wind could be better but that's the only downside to this game that I can come up with.

This was a fun game where you get to be a little cloud and be an annoyance and savior to the world. The art style is unique and the game play mechanics are introduced gradually. Purchased the DLC later on and it was a nice addition to the base game.
