Very amazing game! Absolutely unique masterpiece of graphics, audio and puzzles. Genius work from Amanita.

Samarost 3, along with Amanita's other classics, Botanicula and Machinarium, carries an endless state of serenity. A resource that can be tapped into by us, the audience, for a brief moment as you can simply melt into any of the settings Samarost 3 has to offer and forget the background noise of your life.

Every single frame of this game is like a poster I would want to have on my wall. the textures, the terrarium-like nature of each individual world, it all just speaks to the dedication of the Devs at Amanita have to creating a completely unique visual experience. This isn't even to mention the enrapturing soundtrack, goofy voice dubs for the sound effects thought the game (which, by the way, would totally be how things in the world of Samarost would sound like) and sprinkled musical challenges/puzzles which make me feel like I'm connecting with the soundtrack of nature and the universe itself.

One sentence to summarize this game beautiful, relaxing, the soundtrack is great, and this game leaves me with so many questions about the lore behind Samorost which I love! Overall, for these reasons I give Samorost 3 a 10 out of 10 review!

Absolutely amazing, beautiful and fun!

Builds from what already was a great concept and design from Samarost 1 & 2, and blew it out of the park!
This will go down as a classic in the decades to come.

Very good game, for samorost series the artstyle has upped a bit though sadly missing the proper actual difficult puzzle elements. Sometimes the puzzles or the solutions are straight giveaways. Still worth a buy though if you like the series, short and nice game.

A relaxing puzzle game with great art style and music. Puzzles are very creative and sometimes hard to spot but the game has a very good help function in case you do not understand what is expected from you. Cute story and characters. I very much enjoyed it!

Such an amazing game. The whole series can be completed in just a few hours but Samorost 3 just takes it to the next level in it's overall art style. I feel like a game like this is so refreshing in the current game market in that it lays fully into it's Psychedelic art style and gives the player a grand view into the artists brain. I love just how distorted and interesting the environments are as well as the characters that inhabit them. The gameplay is exactly what you would expect from a Amanita Design game, and if you don't know what that feels like it's like a modern age point and click that has no way to fail. The game also comes with a hint book you can open at any screen to solve some of the more complex puzzles (I only needed to use it once and it was because I didn't notice something had spawned after doing an action). Just pick up the game if you are looking for a calming adventure with great music and amazing art.

P.S. Amanita Design I played all three Samorost games in a day and I'm in love. You guys killed it with the series and I really hope for a Samorost 4 one day! (Also Machinarium 2 when?)

Beautiful graphics, beautiful music, complex and engaging puzzles, all wrapped in a beautiful story line. Definitely worth picking up.

This game is seriously the single most beautiful piece of art i've ever experienced. Amanita has vastly improved upon their formula, creating their best and most cohesive game yet. Worth every cent, and I wish I could give them more!

Wonderful. This is so much better than 2. The puzzles require a bit more thought, but still aren't that difficult. The art is more detailed and beautiful. My particular favorites are the lush green areas. Soundtrack is amazing and is what I liked the most. The length is a lot longer than 1 and 2. There's so much more character added to a short story game series when lengthened with exploration, puzzles, and music you can't help but to sit and listen to! I enjoyed Samorost 3 exactly as much as I enjoyed Machinarium. I'm glad they changed it up in comparison to the others.

Though I got this on sale for $6, it's well worth a price of $12-15 if you love Amanita's games. The base price of $20 seems a tad too much to me.

i loved to see samorost get done right with the full-length sequel treatment. my favorite parts were the optional puzzles/achievements, the postgame content, the story, and of course the painterly high-def glossy graphics. truly an epic tale for the ages

What I needed

Samorost is, somehow, Amanita's birthplace. It started off the team's deep dive into visually compelling point and click adventures, with the first title being a really simple, yet relaxing and enjoyable title, even if really short.

Eventually, they mastered their craft and decided to give this series a third installment.
It's safe to say that we needed this! A must have title, absolutely worth its price.

If you want to hear more though, I'll share some personal thoughts below.

Space and forests

Much care has been put into world building here, and it pays off every time you boot up this game.
As the sub-title says, it's like walking into the woods. In space. You see and hear this fictional naturalistic setting and it's so alive, yet so calm.

While playing, you'll visit various celestial bodies, each with an unique vibe and recognizable environment. Every puzzle or zone easily sticks to your mind, and I must say that they are not hard at all with a couple of exceptions.
Amanita did think about this, though: at any given time, by solving a really simple puzzle in the menu (accessible by pressing esc in-game), you can access a book which grants you every solution.

As I've already said with Creaks, this is better than having to search for a whole walkthrough just to get unstuck. This shows that difficulty is yet again not this game's main focus, and I'm fine with it. I wouldn't appreciate it the same way, as it's intended to be really immersive and relaxing.

Other than that, puzzles were fun and engaging, always coming off as original rather than frustrating. Except for the termites' egg one, with the switches. Good luck figuring that one out without a solution.

Floex, again

Creaks elevated its quality with its score provided by Hidden Orchestra. Here, the music is no different. Floex has created these unique sensations with an excellent composition, ambient vibes and tunes which are beyond original. I may be biased, since it's an interesting genre for me, but I'm sure anyone who plays Amanita titles enjoys the musical component as much as everything else.

Masterfully made.

Brief but concise feelings

As always, my aim isn't to describe every aspect, rather than explaining what I've felt about the game and what really did stick with me.

This is a staple of point and click adventures and I couldn't recommend it more, as it deserves every penny. The last thing I'm going to say is that it's best played with some good headphones.
It really shines.

A beautiful and enchanting game with weird and wonderful creatures and landscapes. My son, 4yo, loved it and wanted to keep playing it even after we'd finished it, though some of the puzzles were a little bit tricky for him (couldn't figure out how to reset the game so we could play it again?). Its like fantastically illustrated children's book that you can interact with. Magical to to core!

Syringe Gun
Syringe Gun

Trying to be as annoying, tedious and nonsensical as possible in a lot of places. Just absolute pain at times. Trial and error, often with what you can even try depending on arbitrary conditions.
Amazing art but the game part of it is horrible.
I get that it's meant to be weird but that doesn't justify being so random they had to put in an in-game walkthrough for it.
And even after you find out what to do, it often takes way too long to execute, going back and forth between places and waiting for animations to finish takes an eternity, and it's unbearable to watch through the same animations over and over again.

Again, good art. Very good art. But forget about the game part of it.

Awesome soundtrack! I listen to it when I'm not even playing the game. Really interesting art. The main character is very cute and likable; the story is one I could go through again. The puzzles are fun -- not too hard but difficult enough to make me think. I fell in love with this game when I first played it.

Game is fantastic. I loved the atmosphere and music just like all their other games. It's been a long time since I've played it but they deserve all the love. Plus to counteract the ****** who give them bad reviews for taking a stance for Ukraine.

A good short game. Can be completed in about an afternoon if you're looking for all the achievements. Fantastically creative throughout.

Pros: Amazing chill/funky soundtrack, longer than Samorost 1 and 2, beautiful artwork/level design, creative story and world.

Achievements: definitely will need a guide, on the plus side the game continues at the end so you can go back for missed achievements

The puzzles were challenging, but doable if you don't rush it.

Samorost is a visually and aurally significant story told through heartwarming interactions and occasionally shocking revelations. Without even a comprehensible utterance, the developers drop the player into a world fantastic; while a clear danger is identified and some environments may seem malevolent at first, one quickly finds that there is always a friendly creature awaiting them at every turn. As one travels beyond lush green meadows to a barren planetscapes, then back to verdant forests and onto a peculiar moon strewn with stringy cacti, the story of this strange collection of celestial bodies is laid bare as one finds themselves increasingly enthralled.

The pacing is excellent; at no point did a puzzle become so difficult so as to stall the game, nor was any puzzle so easy as to remove immersion. If stuck, there is an accessible in-game guide which requires a few seconds to unlock, but this is totally optional - if one wishes to organically progress through discovery on their own, this is also completely manageable.

Once the story comes to its conclusion, the game goes on yet. One can backtrack to their humble abode, the genesis of their adventure, and revisit old friends. There is a relic to be returned to its proper home, a dream to revel in, musical amphibians to rejoin, a giant space cherry to find.

A hopeful beginning is coupled with a satisfactory end. The story is not so obtuse to be alienating, but not so shallow as to be sophomoric. One wonders, upon inspecting the provided books, whether the cursed monk sought revenge because his soul had become corrupt, or if this is a story of a disgruntled, ostracized peer who brought to fruition a senseless grudge. Many questions can be raised when pondering this quaint world: how large are the planets, the trees, the animals? What are the spirits found buried in plain sight, and how do the monks see themselves fitting in alongside them? Why do the various planets look so uncannily like fish?

I highly suggest you play this game. It takes up only an afternoon, but the experience will surely remain in your memory for a long time afterward. Samorost feels like a custom-knitted pair of gloves sent as a gift from one’s grandmother. It is plain, yet dear; simple, yet necessary and oh-so comfortable. For the player, there is much joy to partake in, a surprisingly rich world awaiting friendly dedication.

In my opinion this game is a wonderful pice of art of it´s own kind - change my mind - nope never mind - just do yourselfs a favour and play it. Keep in mind this game is also/basicly for children so don´t expect mindbreaking puzzles.
(i recommend playing part 1&2 befor part 3)

This is a wonderful experience. Not even a game, just an experience. I love it so much, I can't describe in words how much joy I felt. But I'll write about something that I haven't seen in the reviews yet: the achievements. All of them require interesting actions, that means you'll have to explore the whole game to it's roots. But every single one of them is very possible, providing even bad or casual gamers the chance to get all of them.
And it doesn't stop there: You can play a simple music track once you got an achievement, and combine them in the menu. This way you can practically feel like a little DJ. All in all just beautifully made. Very epic.

in a lot of parts it's hard to tell what is and isn't essential to the puzzle and it can be really annoying when you finish a hard puzzle only to find out it's optional, but it's fun and sammy makes funny sounds so i'd say it's worth it

I like playing games, because I can get rid of my real life troubles, don't have to discuss politics, experience a different life in the virtual world, and now you tell me that even playing a game you can't escape political correctness, to be honest, I'm disappointed.

samorost 1 and 2 were a part of my childhood so I'm biased.

I discovered samorost 3 exists last year, and I finally got to play it.
lovely artwork, lovely soundtrack, lovely story. unique puzzles, and memorable and immersive worlds. so much attention to detail! charming and magical and weird, just the way I like it!
achievements were fun to collect. I like that each one plays a part of a cool song.
I like to go back to parts of the game to dance to the music with the lil space gnome. he's like my spirit animal.
I wish I lived in the samorost universe.

samorost will always have a special place in my heart.

I remember when I was just a little child I stumbled upon this weird game with a small white clothed gnome and his dog. That game captured my imagination and left a very happy stamp in my mind. It was only many years later, when I found out about Machinarium and suddenly I realized it had to be the same developer, that I realized the game was in fact Samorost - that bizzare game I really liked.
One can only imagine how stoked I was when I found out Samorost 3 is coming out. 30 minutes of playing have already taken me back to those places of mystery I frequented as a child. It feels as if I am reliving my earliest years.
Samorost 3 is 7 times more vibrant and beautiful, and mystical, than its incredible predecessors. It's filled with fantastic imagery, beautiful scenes, vibrant soundtrack, peculiar story, and original and unique mechanics.
I just want to thank Amanita Design for their originality and loyalism to such a unique genre, in the ever changing environment - that is the video games scene in general. Thank you for such a creative and thought provoking world, and for such a fantastic, amazingly produced game.
If you liked Machinarium or played Samorost as a child like myself, or hell, just like games that see beyond the horizon, there is no reason you won't like Samorost 3, for it excels in what it does - portray a world the wildest of minds wouldn't be able to think of. I think the price is more than fair considering the amount of love this game got and how carefully and warmly it was handled by its developers. Thank you for a once in a life time experience.

But I wish there were an easy to figure out the puzzles. I was hoping to avoid clues, but ended up looking at it more than I wanted.

I was in a strange mood 7 or 8 months ago and was looking through my Steam library for something unusual to play. I ended up playing several weird games that were in my library, but had never been on my radar as games I wanted to play. Samorost 1 was one of them; apparently I'd got it for free at some point.

It was an extremely short game, but very entertaining. Shortly after that, a special military operation initiated the Russo-Ukrainian War of 2022. The developer, Amanita Design, put the Samorost trilogy on sale to signal that the video game development studio had taken a side in that conflict. I haven't stated my support for either side, but I stated my support for Samorost by purchasing the next two games at a discount.

Samorost 2 was also very short. I completed it, and the 13 achievements, in under an hour. This third installment is where they finally made a full game out of the Samorost formula.

It's whimsical, it's charming, and the puzzles are all cryptic as heck. There were only few moments when I knew exactly what I needed to do to make progress. Mostly, I stumbled my way along.

2D puzzle/adventure games are a subgenre I've overlooked in my gaming career. I regret that. You know, I've never played Amanita's classic adventure game, Machinarium. I don't even own it. I'll go add it to the wishlist.

Beautifully original puzzle adventure. At first, this world kind of grossed me out and Samorost I and II felt especially creepy. However, now, after playing them all, I can't help but say that I want to spend more time in this fascinating world. I want to live there. I love the pious termites, the popping turtle, the crescent moon festooning with saguaro cactus. It all comes together as a lovely masterpiece that makes me happy. I would recommend this game to anyone who is ready for an oddly puzzling video-game adventure you've never experienced before.

an excellent audio/visual experience. The wonderful fairy tale landscapes, the catchy beats, excellent sound design etc. There's a genuine excitement to experience the next screen. Watching the bugs and creatures move and live in their little worlds is so fun. They did such a good job giving the playable character a joyful, happy, and curious demeanor. The puzzles can get absolutely illogical and nonsensical though. Its never immediately clear what you can touch and interact with. The game suffers from a particular puzzle problem where doing or clicking one thing, will cause another, entirely unpredictable SECOND thing to happen. For example its like clicking a wrench on the ground or something and the person then uses it to like throw it at a bird which causes the bird to drop a key. Could not have possibly inferred what would have happened just from clicking a wrench and the game does this ALL the time. I recommend just looking up the answer if you get stuck, but otherwise this game is worth.

Absolutely loved this game! Every single frame made me want to take a screenshot. Just so stunningly beautiful! I love the flow of the game and the freedom to explore. Almost everything is interactive, and it definitely gets harder and less obvious how to complete the challenges. Keeps you on your toes! The storyline is also super sweet and endearing, and you grow to feel deeply for these ancient isolated communities out in space, each with their own ancient tragic history that led to their current state.
