I don't know if developers are Turkish but I learned this game by a Turkish streamer that I like to watch. And I found the game interesting. I instantly bought the game and completed it. The story really hit me strong but I won't give spoiler here. A good indie.

It doesn't overstay its welcome and that makes it the perfect lenght, think i would've enjoyed more had i played it in 2020/2021 but it's still good, definitely gave me some minor flashbacks to those uncertain times.

I'm of mixed emotions here. Just finished the third day in the game. I find this game to be interesting enough in the storyline that I'm wondering what will happen next. At the same time I find the game a tediously slow grind, and the whole forced isolation thing is just depressing. This is also my first game with low-poly graphics, and I must say for the record that I absolutely hate the look of low-poly graphics.

So... you're a man working a new remote job during the Sovid-19 lockdowns. Citizens need government permission, via a QR code, to leave their homes, and your job is to issue those QR codes from a laptop in your daughter's bedroom. (And the idea of a man working out of his daughter's bedroom is kind of creepy.) Your wife loses her job as a hairdresser, your daughter has to do "remote learning" after the schools close down, and everybody being cooped-up together in a small apartment eventually causes a lot of stress and tension. Apparently, bad things are going to happen soon.

I think the game itself is okay. Only problem with playing it is the "Save Game" feature. No matter where I'm at when I save, next time I play and click "Load Game", the game always puts me back in my bedroom with no apparent record of what task I was doing last. It's like I'm starting out "first thing in the morning" again.

--------------------------------------------------------
The following are things which really irritate me personally, so I hope the game developers are reading this and will fix them.

1. Spelling errors, like at the end of the day the main character's stress level is "hight" instead of "high".

2. Gender errors in the occupations of the citizens seeking QR codes, like a woman being labelled "waiter" instead of "waitress", or a woman being labelled "businessman" instead of "businesswoman".

3. The daughter wearing a mini-skirt while sitting on the couch with her legs open. That's NOT cool. She should show some modesty.

4. Game mechanics such as the main character lifts the toilet lid to pee, but he doesn't put the lid back down, as every proper gentlemen was taught to do by his mother when he was a young boy.

5. The enclosed balcony, which I imagine would have a decent view of the street below, is inaccessible. If there's no door to it, why do you even have a balcony?

6. The kitchen table is not static. Every time I go into the kitchen, I knock it over.

7. The city is locked down, the wife is unemployed, and the daughter is "remote learning" at home. Yet both of them are nowhere to be found in the apartment during the day.

8. The wife is listed in the main character's phone as "wife" instead of "Olga". What man does that?

I actually liked this game. Nice and short, with some horror elements.

Pros

This game does have a lot of pros going for it.

Art Style
The art style is a low-poly art style, as can be seen on the store page. It does have a lot of unique artwork made for the game, especially the stamps and seals used in passports and documents, so the developers have actually put some effort into making the game stand out from other low-poly Unity games. But art wise, what you see in the store page is what you get, so no complaints here. (IF ONLY FUCKING MOBILE GAME MAKERS COULD LEARN FROM THESE GUYS)

Story (Spoiler Alert)
The story is the main selling point of this game. Story wise, it is a simplified and much more linear "Papers, please".

You are a "QR code issuer"(?) (I thought this was done by a computer program but OK whatever) in the Yublin Federation (Definitely not Russian Federation) and your job is to issue QR codes to the people of Yublin as the Sorona-Virus (NOT Corona-virus) rages throughout the country.

You then start to go insane as you are locked down in your home, and as the days go by, you go more and more into despair and eventually into a comatose induced dream sequence where your actions decide the ending. There are 3 possible endings: Good ending where you survive with your family, Bad Ending where you die, and Normal Ending where you survive but the rest of your family die.

The story has a simple premise, and the TV-shows are quite funny as well, mixing insane interviews with homeless people and obvious propaganda, so props to the developers for writing this.

Gameplay
Just like Papers, please, you read instructions, issue QR codes, and survive the day (paying bills 'n taking care of family 'n stuff). Your actions do matter, but they don't hold as much consequences unlike Papers, please. Some actions do matter, but playing the game normally, they won't really affect you a lot. Money also really isn't a problem unless you decide to screw up big time or do it intentionally, so it is more casual, so to-speak.

The game is set in a 3D world, so it is a 1D upgrade from Papers, please, and does have fluid movement and camera. Nothing too crazy to comment on here, and no obvious flaws.

Cons

There aren't a lot, but there are a few, especially regarding the story.

Gameplay and art style wise, there are a few segments where it becomes insanely dark and trippy and becomes hard to see, and during one of the last levels, I spent nearly 10 minutes looking for the last bill to pay because of how dark it was despite using the flashlight, so not exactly perfect.

Story wise, I don't know why, but this MF is weak as fuck. On the FIRST FUCKING NIGHT he has a nightmare "due to the lockdown". Like dude, the weekend is 2 days long, you must be having a stroke every week if this is how you feel after just a SINGLE day of lockdown.

Then on the second day, he decides to go out shopping, which if you spend more than 3 minutes, you get the virus. I mean sure, COVID did that as well, so whatever. But he then gets Corona Sorona-virus and goes into a COMA. A FUCKING COMA. But there were cases like that with Covid, so OK, FINE. Then he goes into a comatose-induced DREAM where your ACTIONS and the amount of MONEY you saved up decide the ending??? The fuck is this guy on? Like not even drugs can do this, yet this guy decides whether he and his family (along with the people on TV except el dictator presidente ) gets to LIVE or DIE in his FUCKING COMATOSE DREAM!

But other than that, highly recommend to play, and worth your money, even if not on sale.

TL:DR: Worth your money, short Russian version of "Papers, please".

I love how simple this game is.

Why is this game good?

- It's simple, the content ain't very heavy, so even with bad internet you should have it downloaded in less than 15 minutes.
- It shows what people should be doing... but don't...
- Whether a bad graphics card or a slow processor, this game should be even playable on a office computer.
- The music is very well matching to the scenario you're put in.
- Simple Point&Click Adventure
- It provides (luckly) two languages to choose from
(For Devs: I assume there will be more?)

What I'm kinda still expecting:

- I'd love to see is a save function, as I don't think many folks can play the whole game throughout from beginning to finish.
- An overhaul of the english translation, as spelling errors do occur, as well as some sentences not being translated at all, resulting a character changing language from english to russian within the next sentence.

However, Loving it, Thumbs up!

This was a short, spooky, unique horror game that is seriously worth the play through. I had a great time with it and I hope the dev's come out with another unique horror game! :D

This was a good little game! It's very short (I beat it in less than an hour), but I got it on sale and felt like I got my money's worth.

I originally played this demo during the Autumn festival and I really liked the block styling and the "Papers, Please" type feel to the game, not to mention that it managed to give me a legitimate scare at one point. It's got a dark element and it's very modern, seeing as how it's about COVID-19. My only true complaint is that the English needs tidied up a bit, but other than that, it was enjoyable for me and I got two endings (unsure if there are more). I'm happy I played this.

This is a very strange little game that I enjoyed thoroughly with a twist at the end. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the maze part.

10/10 would isolate again.

Really had a blast playing Self Isolation. If you've played Papers Please, you'll love this title. It's a way more interactive version of that. Very fun and eerie experience, blended with some horror elements. It was perfect for the times as well, with "SOVID-19" taking over the world. If I'm being extremely nit-picky, it could have used a few more horror elements. But again, that's extremely nit-picky and more of a personal preference. Really enjoyed the game, loved the play style, and loved the twists and turns in the story. You won't get much of a better experience for the pricetag. Really excited for more titles from Dymchick1.

I'll leave a link to my playthrough if you want to check it out, but I highly recommend you giving it a play for yourself!

I didn't expect to like this game as much as I did. My only gripe about it was that the last bill was very difficult for me to find. I had to look up a yt video. Other than that I liked this game and I just advice others to buy it when it's on sale.

725ken
725ken

It's an okay game. I felt so bored by it that I didn't even bother finishing it. I've heard that the good ending isn't that good. It is $4 so I don't know what I was expecting but it just wasn't really something that I found all that fun. This may be because it's so reliant on Covid-19 and since I'm playing it in March 2022 it just doesn't really hit as hard as it would've in the peak of the pandemic.
I've also noticed a few translation errors but that's kind of a nitpick imo. The horror element isn't that good, it's just cheap jumpscares that don't even scare you. They gameplay of checking things isn't as fun as other games like Papers Please or Death and Taxes. It's like a watered down version of those games but with none of the fun.
I'm not sure if the dev team was just really small or didn't have a lot of time but this isn't worth your time imo.
